okay so for the longest time i have been haunted by the choice of colors on the revachol skyline because the blue/orange/white contrast and the positioning of the clouds feels so deliberate to me and i just realized.

that’s it, isn’t it? it’s the pale fire on the horizon. even the position of the cloud, like a fog preparing to roll over revachol. the darkness creeping in at the corners of the sky. 27 years before the end of the world indeed

So many thoughts about the new Totk trailer. To add my two cents to the mix:

When we hear Zelda say “please lend him your power” I’m pretty sure the “him” is Link and that power is the glowy arm power stuff. Who’s Zelda talking to? Previous hero? Mysterious figure from the mural? Not sure but that “him” that needs power I think is Link esp paired with “link I’m not sure you can stop him” from earlier in the trailer.

Not to be a pretentious fuck or anything but I usually really hate talking about Subnautica with people despite it being one of my all time favourite games because a lot of the time it's just,,, oh okay the developers lovingly crafted an entire alien planet with incredibly beautiful flora and fauna that had a lot of thought put into the evolutionary niche every living creature fills and how every piece of this ecosystem interacts with each other. All done with the express goal of being a nonviolent game that encourages the player to study and appreciate the beauty in the world around them and convey the idea that humans aren't the center of the universe and we should lessen our impact on our environments as much as possible. And all you can talk about is how everything is weird and scary and how much you want to kill it and how you're mad that you can't terraform and destroy more stuff and think the 'combat' is terrible and wish you would get a better reward for finally killing those reapers!!!

They have to go on a 14 year long journey to finish the job but by god they will do it.#The sheer chaos in the Audio Drama is really fantastic. Reminds me of those traincar murder mysteries.#The lights go off and there's a scream and then BOOM dead body. Who did that!!!#Okay it was qi deviation and he did it to stop himself from killing his brother. He did it to himself.#JGY sadly has the worst alibi ever though. Both the strongest motivation and also uhhh presence at the scene.#Not to nitpick but as someone who loves murder mysteries - I do feel like even *one* other suspect would have made it stronger.#I get that he tried to make it look like an inevitable Qi Deviation and that it *is* something within the family legacy.#And a big part of NHS figuring it all out comes down to his own perceptiveness and intelligence.#If you weren't close enough to JGY and NMJ of course it looks like an accident.#Sadly 'guy who plays the 'poor little meow meow card'' is also weak to 'guy who plays the 'poor little meow meow card''.#NHS was the better subtle manipulator at the end. That's probably the strongest mystery part of MDZS. And why he's in my top 5.#My man pulled the 'kill him just as he falls from the top of his game and loses everything' gambit and I love him for it.
