brewing a mihawk/shanks/buggy fic idea in my mind where theyre stupidly inlove w each other but theyre too dumb to open to each other on how insecure they feel.

Buggy has inferiority complex and thinks hes just there in the relationship as a side piece. He thinks someday Shanks and Mihawk will realize they’re better off w/o him. They’re two of the most powerful men in the seas, incredibly handsome too, and Buggy’s just. Buggy. Weak and cowardly, weird and ugly. So whenever he sees Shanks and Mihawk particularly spending more time together, he mentally prepares himself for the day they leave him (he plans to leave out of the relationship first so it will hurt less).

Buggy of course will never admit his insecurities, and he fears if he opens the topic, the two will break up with him much earlier. So he just tries to make the most out of their relationship while it lasts and anxiously wait for the inevitable ending.

Mihawk, on the other hand, feels out of place in the relationship bc Shanks and Buggy shared a much deeper and stronger bond way back in their childhood that his history with both men could never compare. He thinks his aloof and introverted personality will someday bore them, that they will see there is not much to Mihawk than they first thought. Sometimes he overthinks if Shanks only loves him bc he was the nearest person to have filled in Buggy’s place in his heart after the two separated, or if Buggy is even interested in him, who’s a complete polar opposite to his personality. Moreover, his guilt over beating up Buggy at the start of the Cross Guild washes over him every now and then, and he thinks it will become a factor someday when the two decide to break up with him.

Mihawk doesn’t open up these thoughts bc he doesn’t think they’re worth opening up. He’s a lonewolf all his life, but he couldn’t get used to the disconnection he feels despite having two partners.

Shanks has abandonment issues fr. He’s afraid that all those decades spent apart from Buggy has estranged their relationship forever. He’s scared of a future where the two will break up with him - that Buggy will abandon him again, having found a perfect partner (Mihawk) who he knows will treat him better than Shanks ever did and could ever do. He worries about being the most mentally unstable out of them all, that his depressive alcoholic episodes and loudness will turn off Mihawk for good, or that he’ll unknowingly do something that will cause a second downfall in his relationship with Buggy again.

Shanks will never open up about his insecurities bc he thinks it will sour the happiness they currently have in the relationship. He’d rather shoulder everything and keep up a facade than have the two abandon him.

Even though they’re happy to be together officially and they love each other, there is still some tension due to them not very good at opening up. Buggy’s too into denial and evades sensitive topics at all costs, Mihawk is too private and socially inept, Shanks is the type to suppress and put up a facade for the sake of keeping peace in their relationship.

In short, theyre a fuckibng mess

((idk maybr Luffy will randomly pop up in their lives again and indirectly save their relationship while being completely oblivious))

Mitski Pincilpusher is a very anxious Octoling who migrated to inkopolis away from the domes. She works in Corp.co as an accountant to support her and her daughter momo. She is heavily inlove with Canner, and while he also likes her, theyre both really dumb and never fucking do anything.

Not much of a foodie but eats a lot because of leftover anxieties of never knowing when youre going to eat next in the domes.

Her hair is rarely ever just blue because she spends most of her time sureounded by people she loves, wether it being Canner at work, Selene (her bestie and coworker) at the bar, or momo at home.

Strong emotions can be binding, but it can also be the caused of an unhealthy bad obsession. Which what Rie and Gojo in my opinion has. These type of emotions are short lasting and are very easy to break. They are in a honeymoon phase, but it won't last. Its like how twin flames are, they can be strong but that does not mean it is healthy. Besides they are both feeding each others delusions, Rie feeding Gojo that him and her hadn't done anything wrong while Gojo keeps feeding into the "i love you so much" bs with Rie even though he is constantly lying to her.

Poor Rie, she is just another victim of a manchild's game. Her emotions got the best of her as she has stoop so low for a man who does not even know if he loves her or loves someone else. Rie and Y/N reflects the song of Amy Winehouse "love is a losing game" as sadly both woman are being played by a man who has no respect for either both of them. A man who only truly cares about himself and his own needs and wants.

Gojo is only keeping both woman for the sake of guilt and pleasure. He has no signs that he can even truly love or genuinly love a person. He is confused and his confusion is the cause of his own downfall. To me no matter how many tears falls from his blue "angel" eyes, I believe he is just one selfish man who thinks he can have options. He cares about his own comfort. He does not want to let go of Y/N for he thinks he should be forgiven, he keeps Rie for his pleasure and also to have someone to run to when everyone else leaves him.

Y/N is the perfect example of being too nice is dumb. Im sorry, we love Y/N but at some point you really need to stop and think about yourself. Y/N at this point is just asking to be hurt. Y/N is the perfect example of why you shouldn't give your whole self to someone else and to leave love for yourself as well. A person who is too dependent on someone who can disappear just like that, is truly a person who is bound to get hurt, used, and crushed. And im sorry to say this, I hope she fr does not end with anyone. She needs to heal and find herself by herself. Her depending on someone will just be another cycle of heartbreak. To realize your own worth is far more rewarding than someone stating your own worth.

And Suguru going for Y/N is low blow. He knows how much she has gone through and how bad it has been. For him to not even get through his head that oh maybe my own pleasure shouldn't matter would be ehhh idk bad? I just feel that instead of trying to get with her, he should just be there for her while she tries to heal herself from what has happened to her. The whole idea of a new rs for Y/N is just so iffy. Realistically with how bad Y/N got, another rs could just ruin her more as she does not have a clue how to love herself first. It is quite obvious she is still very much dependent on Saturo.

Suguru and Shoko really aren't great of a friends tbh. How can you watch a friends bf cheat and not say anything about it? If it was to protect her it is such bs. They knew what has happened and they decided to hide it from her. Like what other anon said bystanders are just as worst. They watched her be stupidly inlove with Saturo, while watching him cheat on her as well. And what did they do? Nothing. They all a sudden became "saviour" besties when her life was so fucked up. Now they want to protect her? When they were also a piece that caused more damaged to her. They want to remove Gojo, when they were also actively letting Gojo destroy her by watching him cheat and hiding it from her. News flash, if you want to be good friend. Speak the damn truth, idc who you are protecting. People who are being lied to deserves to know even if it hurts or not. People who hide the truth, are again just as a big of liar than those who tell lies.

In P.M, everyone has guilt. And theyre all just competing to be the better person. Everyone in this story so far, has played on why Y/N's life got destroyed. And now all of her friends, gojo, rie has guilt as they all were a piece played to destroy Y/N's whole self.

i definitely get this, i see where you're coming from with the gojo and rie thing. she's craving love and affection and since she thought satoru could give it to her, she went for him despite knowing that they'd be trampling over someone's feelings and hurting them. it's really pitiful. and omg love is a losing game is one of my favorite songs by amy winehouse, i like how you compared their situation to it. and yn yes, she's too good for her own good, but she'll come around. we have to see how she'll handle herself when she gets out. as for suguru, it has not been clarified yet what his intentions with yn really are. about the cheating thing, they never really saw it happen. they just found out when satoru told them everything and since he told them that he explained everything to yn, they assumed that yn already knows and was just avoiding the topic, it was explained in chapter iv. all in all, wow i love this analysis, unbiased and rational. thank you so much for this, nonnie ~ !! i hope you're doing great <33

Okay so for youtube au who's the one who does all the stupid challenges? Like I'm talking the 8 minute planking on top of a McDonald's sign kind of stupid challenge

Aaaaa i love you and inlove talking about theyre dumbassery

And even though he doesnt have a channel of his own its remus, its one hundred percent one Remus Abel Prince.

But heres the thing the glorious part of it anon

He does all these stupid dangerous channels on dee's channel. They film and post them as lighthearted breaks from dee's usual urban explorations(as sometimes they can get freaky and suspenseful and heavy) so they post these like 10-15 minute videos of remus taking dares and challenges, only the ones he knows are dumb and reckless and they spend remus's whole days off filming him just going absolutely feral and doing all these challenges(with varying success i will add) and post them the next day with wildly stupid titles(dee's fans fucking love some of these videos)

Theyre filmed like vlogs, with dee usually behind the camera following behind half heartedly warning remus "careful, you might get hurt..." "Oh fuck off im an adult ill live!"

Various of these videos include

Jungle obstacle course(making terribly unstable obstacles in the woods out of town and just going feral trying to get through everything as fast and uninjuried as possible. Filmed after it rained and everything was wet and mucky)

Knife fight(self explanatory really. They took theyre pocket knives and pretended they were swords and fought over whod pay for gas and lunch[dee won that time but both these dumbasses lost because they had to patch up before vee and logan found out] cussing up a storm with every swipe. There was no serious or lasting damage or even deep cuts. But there were alot of little bleeding cuts. This isnt there first time doing so)

I swear i didnt get arrested for this-somehow(this would be parkouring and planking on random public things and other reckless stunts in places like the downtown shopping plaza that they absolutely shouldve been arrested for)

Diy broke survival guide( they go backpacking just outside of town on a dare saying they would spend overnight in a creepy/rumored haunted place, usually in the woods)

And many other things. Remus is a man who thrives on the chaos of being an absolute dumbass with his best friend with an excuse to do stupid things! Logan is exasperated but at this point as long as he stays mostlynsafe and doesnt get arrested he doesnt protest too much. Remus isnt stupid doing stupid stuff, he knows the limit and unfortunately from being a chaotic bastard most of hisnlife hes damn near an expert at controlled chaos

Tired.

That's all the small little fox felt as she quietly scrolled through her Tumblr feed.

Why was everything suddenly so dull and uneventful ? Waking up in the morning was already a chore ! And it didnt help that Shadow wasnt around anymore.

He wanted to 'make the world a better place' so he flew back up into space with the blue blur Sonic to finish off what was left of Eggman and the Meterex.

Why couldnt he make HER world a better place !? What happened to always being there for eachother through thick and thin !?

Maybe these thoughts of hers were selfish..but she couldnt help it..

She missed her cute little hedgie.

And would do anything to see him again.

A soft knock could be heard from the front door. Since the house was already dead silent, Helena heard it and got up to answer it.

She opens the door and is greeted by a soft rabbit. Her old time friend,Me'Re.

"Oh hey...you ok ?" Helena steps aside to let her in.

"Yea..I'm ok...I just..felt lonely.." She says, forcing a smile. She sits on a sofa and looks at her shoes.

"I understand..but..I'm sure they'll be back soon !" She says as she closes the door, walking back to her respected spot on the other sofa, just across the room.

To be honest, she didnt think they would come back.

They have been gone for almost a year. She was certain that they both forgotten about the ones that loved them most.

The men didnt even bother giving them a call or sending them any letters...

Sure, Sonic has been imprisoned twice and Shadow thrown through space and falling down towards Earth on multiple occasions. But they always managed to find their way back to the ones they love.

Helena was so lost in her thoughts, she didnt hear the rabbit hiccup gently across the room.

"I-I thought they loved us Helena..."

Helena snaps out of her thoughts at looks at the little rabbit. She sighs and walks across the room and sits next to her, pulling her into a hug.

"No need to cry...its ok...maybe one day they will come back."

Stop lying.

They wont come back.

They never will...

Helena teared up alittle gripping the small girls shirt gently.

"O-Of course they w-will come back Me-Me ! D-Don't be foolish !"

They were both foolish if they think they'd come back after a year.

Face it...they...were gone.

She broke down. And it seemed like she wasn't gonna calm down for hours on end.

All they had was eachother for the time being.

No friends.

Just eachother.

Hours went by and the two had cried eachother to sleep on the couch. They didn't bother locking the front door for safety...

Not like anyone would come in..

The time read 1:55am.

The front door gently opened to reveal, yes, two extremely tired and beaten up hedgehogs.

To clarify, fighting in space was very hard for the two amateurs. Sonics speed abilities were limited due to the lack of gravity and so were Shadows chaos abilities, due to the fact that the Meterex had all 7 of them. The first plan of theirs was to beat the emeralds out of the Meterex and find them all before they could. Classic yet dumb Sonic move.

Just that alone took them months.

The galaxy was so big...and....endless...

The REAL fight probably only took them an hour or two.

They obviously win the fight. The Meterex was destroyed for good..and well...so was Eggman.

The fight took a toll on their physical forms though.

Sonics eye was scratched up, leaving him somewhat blind and his legs were damn near broken due to all of the kicking he's done. Shadow on the other hand was slightly worse. His body was weak, fur discolored. Bloodshot eyes and broken fingers. Not only that, but scars littered both of their small bodies. Lets just say...these men aren't very..pretty while angry.

Anyway, the present.

The two hedgehogs walk into the small house and sit on the couch.

"Damnit...I can't feel my arms.." Shadow growls out as he lays down.

"Haha..my legs...theyre so numb !" Sonic awkwardly laughs as he lays next to him.

They silently stare up at the dark ceiling for awhile..

"Do you think they remember us Shads..?"

"....Dont be stupid Sonic...of course they remember us.."

Sonic shivers a bit and turns to face him

"What if they're mad...? What if they dont love us anymore !? What if--"

Snoring cuts him off.

He stares at Shadows peaceful sleeping form and sighs.

"Guess we'll see tomorrow" he tries his best to shift into a comfortable position and rests easy.

Finally free.

Finally home.

Morning time ✨

It was 11am.

Shadow yawns and jolts up. He frantically looks around the room.

So comfortable...so..soothing..

He examines the room...

And his heart instantly melts.

The first thing he notices is his beautiful lover and her bestest friend cuddled on the couch fast asleep.

His emo heart throbbed at the pure and gentle scene. He tapped Sonic on the shoulder to wake him. Sonic, being a gentle sleeper after a year of constant battle, woke up instantly. He looked at Shadow and then directly in front if him.

Gah two mushy hedgehog hearts..

Sonic blushes at the sight of his baby craddled in Helenas arms. Hes quick to notice dry tears staining both of the ladies pretty faces.

And well..

Tears start to stain both of their faces as well.

"Damn..we really have been gone for a long time havent we...?" Shadow huffs out looking over at the azure hedgehog

"Y-Yea...I...I guess so" He wipes his tears away and sniffs softly.

"God I missed her" they sung in unison.

This of all things woke Helena up.

She yawns and looks down at Me'Re. She squeaks and eventually wakes up too.

"Good morning Me'Re..".she smiles at her

"Good morning.." She smiles, still tired.

"....good morning.." The hedgehogs once again sang in unison. More quietly this time however

The pair are quick to snap their heads towards the sound and they freeze.

They quietly stare at eachother.

Mind racing.

Heart racing.

Were they really here...? Alive ? Well ?

Still theirs ?

Helena is the first to stand up. She awkwardly and slowly walks towards Shadow.

She cups his cheeks and stares into his shiny ruby eyes.

God how she missed those eyes...

"...Shadow..?"

"...hi...Blue Stripe..."

She cries instantly and passionately kisses his slightly chapped lips.

So much love and care went into that one kiss.

One kiss. That she hoped would never end..

As the two slowly start to kiss even more passionately, Me'Re is still staring at Sonic And sonic still staring at her.

Its almost as if their brains havent fully comprehended what was happening.

This wasnt a dream.

It was a reality.

So..to make sure his mind wasnt playing games on him again, Sonic attempted to get up but fell back down due to the numbess in his legs.

He hisses and rubs his legs, attempting to wake them from their never ending slumber but, of course, failed.

Me'Re quickly gets up and runs over to him, helping him on his feet

"..a-are you ok 'nikku ?"

"I-I..."

He stares into her eyes and analyzes them more closely.

"I dont think I'm dreaming.." He says as he gives her a gentle hug.

She's quick to start crying and hugs him back.

Shadow breaks the kiss and hugs Helena tightly, tight enough to remind himself that she was there. Finally in his arms again. Where she belonged.

"I missed you..way too much..." He whispered in her ear, a tear seeping its way out of his eye. Helena, on the other hand was a crying mess.

"I-I-I-"

"Shhh..its ok..save your voice.."

They stay locked in that position. And they didnt dare move.

They needed this

They needed eachother.

Sonic is quick to pull away and stare at her again.

"My god..its the eyes I fell inlove with."

Me'Re blushed and looked away, though Sonic is quick to put a finger under her chin and make her look at him.

They kiss.

Not as long as edgelord and the artlord in the corner though.

But still sweet, nonetheless.

They break it and sit on the other couch aross the room. Sonic lays on his back and Me'Re lays ontop of him.

"Promise me Sonic..."

"Hm ?"

She cries again and looks into his dreamy eyes.

"P-Promise you wont leave me alone like that again..."

Helena is quick to look at Me'Re then back at Shadow, who simply nods his head and pecks her forehead.

Sonic looks over and Shadow who smiles warmly at him.

He looks back down at her

"I....no....WE promise."
