I’ve seen some people saying that they/them pussy fixed Gabriel, as if the owner of that they/them pussy (my love) is not just as bad.
Beelzebub is twisting up their underlings insides and sending them to dung pits working as tool in their own oppressive dictatorship they are committing their own attempted protagonist murder. And probably killed a good number of other demons. And was down to end the world.
If anything maybe they are both using their respective they/them and he/him pussy to fix each other…a little. A teeny bit. A teensy bit. A tiny bit.

K-pop fans really look at photos of the most average looking guy (with albeit very smooth skin) ever doing the most random crap like sitting on the ground and just like “OMGGGG look at how Jung-Yun (idk) is sittingggg.”

I don’t think the Rat Grinders are irredeemable or whatever but I DO think a lot of people are putting the onus on Brennan specifically to redeem them or “write them a redemption arc”, like yes it is a show and there has to be character narratives especially for foils to your PCs, but ttrpgs are fundamentally a /collaborative/ storytelling medium, the thing about DnD is that the players have to invest in the NPCs, they have to give them the time and space to redeem themselves through interacting with them, the reason we see characters like Aelwyn and Ragh get a redemption arc & change and develop is because the Bad Kids went out of their way to talk to them (In Aelwyn’s case Adaine had to commit to redeeming her sister on multiple occaisions). Lets not forget there have been other teen villains, like Penelope, Dayne and Biz who the Bad Kids just straight up killed in combat, who didn’t get redeemed. Do I think it’s fully possible that the Rat Grinders can experience redemption/forgiveness and it would be narratively satisfying? Absolutely! But, imo, a lot of the narrative thrust behind wether a character gets redemption is in the hands of the players, and it would be a little bit unsatisfying if being freed from their rage crystals immediately gave them all full personality transplants (like removing all of Kipperlily’s anger and ambition for example)

bonus: Heathcliff smile collection
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#limbus company#heathcliff#dante#my art#i shouldve made Don speak more donlike but I just had to get this out there#I saw a post on twitter that talked about how like#maybe the reason why heathcliffs temper is so bad is because everything he hears goes through like#the filter of his inferiority complex#even if someone said smth nice to him he might get defensive about it#coughing bc I feel like dante is equally likely to be nice to him or to just keep teasing him back#yaoi …#what you don’t see in this comic is Dante probably thought for a long time about heathcliffs good points#how hes strong and smarter than he looks and how shockingly often he stands up for them#his strong sense of justice…#but they probably thought it’d be best not to say something like that.#one of dantes other things is theyre surprisingly… frivolous? in some ways. idk how to say it#like when they get called inhuman they basically just shrug it off#I feel like thinking deeply about heathcliffs strong points and then ultimately choosing to say something surface level is very dante.#and of course heathcliff thinks they’re fucking around.#sorry I put a lot of thought into the characterisation in this joke comic UAOHSOSI I need these two to have deeper interactions fr#yea. i dont self insert as dante im genuinely haunted by visions for this ship and idek why#they probably picked smth silly partially out of being hesitant to genuinely say something partially out of genuinely liking his smile#(it IS very cute. when you get to see it its like woah#heathcliff I didn’t know you could smile so brightly…)#and partially out of wanting to see how he’d react to (totally not flirting) being complimented on his appearance#opening up Dante’s brain to analyse their character I like them a normal amount#and… I really want there to be a moment between them where Dante genuinely speaks encouragingly to heathcliff#the same way they do to sinclair#I think heathcliff needs that too#and… it’d be cute to see him a little flustered.

Idk if it’s because of how I’ve curated my feed but I rarely see people shitting on Christine. Any E/C space I’m in is mostly about centering Christine and her satisfaction.
That said, I feel the constant need to warn people that “If you like Erik and Christine as a couple, remember not to have that kind of relationship IRL” is kind of annoying. I get the intention, but people, including young people, aren’t stupid and don’t need constant reminders to not be inspired by their toxic faves.
Like yes girl, I know the Phantom is not a real man. I wish a wealthy, nerdy, musically talented, intelligent old man that lived underground and wanted to help me with my music career was real. But he’s not, so I’m gonna indulge in fiction.
Bless the rest of y’all that get involve in the discourse though. Honestly, could not be me.

why do people legitimately ship kyman and carters? like they have absolutely no chemistry. kyle and cartman hate each other and i don’t think kyle would ever like cartman back. i can see one sided kyman but that’s it. and only on cartman’s behalf. and cartman has sexually assaulted butters. i get that he’s nicer to butters than most people and that butters is nice to him but still. they aren’t ship material. at all.

My point is that the ice and fire in a song of ice and fire are literally the ice and fire powerhouses re the white walkers and the Targaryens (and stannis & the fire lord etc), and they’re both the villains. Goodbye.

(one of) the most frustrating parts about the portrayal of drow society is that it wants to create Reverse Sexism without uncoupling itself from some. pretty foundational patriarchal ideas. it ascribes to the (tired, essentialist) notion that men are inherently good at certain things, and women are inherently suited for different things
but rather than the basic subversion of “women are warriors and men are the homemakers” or even early feminist thought experiments like “traditionally ‘women’s priorities’ are given importance over ‘men’s’ (ie things are governed by council, importance is placed on childrearing, etc)”, menzoberranzan is “this society still holds to patriarchal values and women are not as good at these things which is why it’s demonstrably worse”.
the biggest tell is that they have to control the male population to maintain female dominance, the implication being that in a fair fight, men would easily overpower them. it assumes the misogynist ideas as fact that “women are inherently weaker” and also “women are duplicitous” so the drow fighting style is based on stealth and sabotage rather than “”honorable”” face- to-face combat (letting lie also the assumption that the only avenue for ambition is through military violence, and therefore still making it so that they are reliant on men, even as disposable shock troops, for their success).
the only things that keep women in charge are by stacking the numbers on a systematic level, and through sexual domination on the individual level (because clearly the only real power a woman can have over men is her sexuality).
it is a society where “men act like men” but women don’t act like women; it is evil because an act of god created an aberration against the “natural order” of things, and there is no one to tend the hearth (because if the women won’t do it, no one will)
#there’s just. so much to unpack#call me old fashioned but i think. if you’re trying to subvert something you should first understand how it actually works#now this is also mostly based off of what i read from the first couple drizzt novels and old lore on the wiki so like#it’s possible that they’ve tried to do a spit-polish retcon in 5e#but every time they’ve tried to do that with other things i feel like they also misunderstood the real issue so#either way i don’t have a lot of faith that this would have fundamentally changed#it’s probably just something like ‘yep we acknowledge it’s problematic but that’s bc lolth is eeeeevil so it’s supposed to be bad’#like i’m gonna be honest. i roll my eyes whenever Any fantasy society spends time codifying gender roles in this kind of way#there’s plenty of other races that are like ‘men are warriors and women are homemakers but both are equally important so it’s not sexist!!!#like they’re not just reinventing the wheel of victorian Separate Spheres#but what gets me about this one is how clear it feels that no one thought deeply about it#‘a matriarchy is when women act like men’#i have no source for this but it FEELS like it originated as a reactionary response to second wave feminism#‘women can do the same things men can do?? we should let them in positions of power??#this is what that looks like. checkmate feminists’#honestly i have learned a lot more about the way men think about women from fantasy bc#it rly shows their asses when you’re ostensibly removed from the world we live in#and the things they place importance on#mine#dnd

after Eddie graduates he still wants to play dnd so Steve let’s them play in his house and the kids are so excited because maybe this way they can get Steve to play?
he doesn’t, but he watches and that’s something right? Except it isn’t because he keeps humming and snorting and he fucking giggles at one point when they’re deciding how to fight the big bad
they slowly realize that it’s because Eddie tells Steve his plans for the campaign, so Steve is sitting there laughing because he knows what will happen and oh my god this is so much worse than Eddie ever was on his own because now he’ll give Steve these looks and Steve will smile or raise an eyebrow or something and there’s no pattern to what happens after so they can’t even brace themselves, and yeah they should have kept them apart this is a nightmare
#eddie munson#steddie#steve harrington#stranger things#listen I just think Steve wouldn’t want to play but he’d love to watch#and Eddie starts planning sessions when they’re hanging out and he tells Steve everything and Steve is on the edge of his seat knowing what#will happen and seeing what the kids will do#and with all the shit they give him about not knowing stuff so what if he lets out a little snort when they choose to go left instead of#right when actually both options are equally bad#it’s just a little harmless thing to mess with them#Eddie picks up on it and will sometimes look at stave and raise an eyebrow and Steve knowing nothing is about to happen will smile and nod#and the kids will literally loose all the blood in their face and all that happens that session is they buy some new weapons but next times#it happens they get attacked so what actually does it even mean?#it means Eddie and Steve are messing with them just a tiny bit#but also that Eddie is including Steve because he knows he’s hesitant to play bc he thinks he’d ruin it but this way he gets to be a part#of it and also as much as Eddie loves to DM it can get lonely and it’s exciting to share this with Steve#sometimes Steve is humming and nodding because he’s impressed with them though#but it still drives them absolutely crazy bc these kids has such a need to know everything and the DM being the only one who knows is#the point so they can deal but this? yeah it’s a struggle#my post#dels steddie thoughts

I think that Johnnyboy’s potential to complicated and messy is criminally untapped in fanon. Ponyboy ‘fucking sucks at feelings, both his own and of others, and can be a bitch’ Curtis and Johnny ‘imperfect victim with shit self-esteem’ Cade would definitely have their ups and downs

the difference between sonic and shadow in the death swap au is that in the original timeline, when shadow fell and got amnesia, shadow WANTED to know who he was. he was completely caught up in his past, desperate for some spark of identity, desperate to know who he was and how he fits in to things. he couldn’t process the idea of focusing on who he is NOW.
sonic, on the other hand, spends this entire au actively avoiding who he used to be. sonic doesn’t ever turn back, doesn’t ever look behind him, and keeps marching forward. sonic wants to figure out who he is NOW, unhindered by the past, but this path isn’t much better than shadow’s. ultimately, it’s about being able to reconcile who you USED to be, and who you are NOW, and it’s something sonic and shadow struggled with in very different extremes.

who could believe the dark blue acrobat (former trapeze artist) raised romani superhero with a dead brother and a fun, flirty personality on a team brimming with interpersonal relationship drama and some quite literal found family whose hero name is “night______” and whose costume is skintight and mostly black with a v-like stripe across his chest and is drawn with no irises would beat the other one? what, are swords cooler than eskrima sticks? is it cause he has powers? …no it’s cause i promised to draw dickwing fanart, and you’ll get that later, but for now:

A great thing about Disco Elysium is that every playthrough will be different. Everyone’s experience with it will be different. Your perception and interpretation of the game is going to be different from mine, and neither of us are wrong. Nobody’s interpretation of this game is inherently wrong because every character’s past is a vague story to be written, and each story will be one of infinite possibilities in the shifting cosmos of the game’s universe. And in the same way, the future of the characters and their world is malleable and will be shaped by the decisions each Harry makes. Decisions to help enter a community or remain a stoic outsider. To side with a corporation or a union. To work hard at recovery or give into old habits.
Every skill check, every dialogue option, every choice in Disco Elysium shapes the world that will come after the game. Nobody’s vision of what comes next is more “correct” than anybody else’s. Nobody’s Harry is more “in character” than anybody else’s; queer, communist, trying-to-be-sober Harry and repressed, fascist, drinks-himself-to-death-by-50 Harry are equally real, and so is every option between those two extremes and every single world that will be shaped by the person that he is in and after Martinaise.
