So. After that post about warrior cats’ names being something that literally exists now (ie. Whiteclaw) I had to look it up on the Wiki that this was really a cat that existed in the book and not something I barely remembered and was like ‘Yeah, that’s totally a cat.’ It’s a cat. A riverclan one from the first series. Deadass. There’s a cat named White Claw.
Long story short, I ended up in a rabbithole and now I Really want to read that whole special edition about Yellowfang.

Babies on the Brain
George Weasley x reader
Requested by @hahahafucku
Request gist: smut where George sees you holding Fred baby and he feels the need to give you one of his own.
A/N: thanks for the request. I carried on Fred and Angelina’s romance (Freds not dying in my world and George is ending up with the reader instead). I've never been good at writing for breeding kinks (I say like I'm good at writing other things) so I'm sorry if it sounds cliche or cringy or if it's just downright terrible. I don't know if I went a bit overboard on the before smut stuff.
T/W: unprotected sex, soft dom George, breeding kink, praise, kitchen counter sex, ginger baby (jk)
Tumblr media
You and George had met in your first year of Hogwarts but your slow build up to a couple started after your fourth year. You had known him for years. His parents loved you, his siblings loved you, and he adored you. You loved his family, from his caring mum, to his mischievous twin, and finally his young sister (who was thrilled to have another girl in the family).
Speaking of George's mischievous twin, you couldn't believe the news when you heard that he was going to be a father. This was a boy who (with his twin) had set a firework dragon on a ministry of magic worker, had stolen a flying car, and had tested joke shop products on first year students back in Hogwarts. He was going to be a brilliant dad.
Those months went by with you and George helping Fred and Angelina with anything they needed, from trips to St Mungos to shopping for baby accessories. Throughout this time, George began to keep a closer eye on you. He’d zone out when you recommended baby grows to get his future niece or nephew or when you’d buy baby products so that the expecting parents were prepared.
A week after Angelina gave birth, she and Fred brought the little one round to meet the family. A little boy who already shared the Weasleys trademark fiery hair. Angelina passed him to you, letting you hold the baby whilst she went for a well deserved rest (Molly had persisted that she looked tired and could take a nap in Fred’s old room). You bounced the little baby in your arms, unaware of your boyfriend watching you from the doorway.
He didn't want to admit it, but seeing you with a baby in your arms made him weak in the knees. He wanted it to always be like this. He wanted the baby in your arms to be his. He'd always thought about having kids with you someday, but this was a wake up call. And the call was answered by that voice inside of him, telling him to make you his and only his.
————————————————————————
Once you got home to the small house that you and George shared, you went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. All you had been talking about all afternoon was how adorable Fred’s baby was with his tiny button nose and little toes. George stalked up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist, his face immediately going to the crook of your neck to press soft kisses to the skin.
“You’d make such a perfect mum to our kids”.
His words made you freeze. At first, you didn't think you’d heard him correctly, since his face was still tucked into your neck. But he made sure that you would listen.
“I bet you’d look so beautiful carrying our baby. So full and swollen…so full because of me”.
At this point, he was slowly rocking his hips against your ass. His cock slowly got harder while he left kisses along your collarbone. Small breathy moans slipped past your lips, his words and grinding getting you wetter by the second. You pushed your hips back against his, wanting nothing more than for George to take the hint and fuck you into the countertop. His hand splayed across your stomach through your clothes, muttering a soft “Want me in here, sweetheart?”. Your small whimper and frantic nodding had him smiling to himself. He wanted you to admit that you wanted this, he needed you to admit that you wanted him to do this.
“Need you to tell me what you want, love. Tell me how much you want to be full of my cum”. His breath on the shell of your ear caused you to shiver and turn your head as much as you could to look him in the eye. “Please George, fuck me. Fill me up. I want to be full”. Once he made you beg, he pulled your dress up and pulled your underwear to the side, knowing that it would take too long to pull them off. George pushed his trousers and boxers down, before pushing into you with one thrust that knocked the air from your lungs. His pace was quick and desperate from the moment he was inside of you. His cock felt amazing. You had both had sex without protection before but it felt somehow better when you didn't have to worry or take precautions. Your moans were sultry and erotic, and George swore that he had never heard a prettier sound (apart from the sound of his hips slapping against the plush of your ass).
His hand trailed its way down to tease and play with your clit, wanting to make you cum first. He had always insisted on cumming after you. His mouth was next to your ear in a second, his voice dripping with lust. “That's it sweetheart, milk my cock like a good girl. Show me how much you want me to cum deep inside you. Cum for me and I’ll stuff you so full of my cum that you’ll be carrying twins”. His thrusts got sloppier but his small circles on your clit got more determined. All it took was one final thrust to have you cumming around his cock, your walls clenching tighter than before. George's hold on you got tighter as his cum flooded your insides, not a drop going to waste.
After you had both caught your breaths and calmed down, he pulled his cock out. Pulling your underwear to its correct spot before whispering in your ear “Keep it all in there love, I’ll check tonight and if even a drop is gone, I’ll just have to fill you up again”

Fallout4 characters with teen!sole
Bestie you are litteraly describing one of my oc's! Of course its purley platonic😊 teen!sole is also from valut and was in fidge for last 200years. I refer to them as 'kid' bcs thats how some of characters would probably treat them anyways. Also its a screenshot vuz I accidentally deleted the ask and luckily had some sort of proof
Maccready
The only guy here with any expirence with kids
Dad vibe
Type of guy who says "We need to cut it off" after Sole tells him their hand hurts
Will teach them how to shoot, hunt ect
Also scold them every time they talk with any shady people??? Like he really doesnt want them to end up like him with whole 'gunners incident'
He thinks that Sole would get along with Duncan well!
If Sole calls him 'dad' mans gotta be so happy
Deacon
Secretly worried about their saftey, like Commonwealth is dangerous place for trained adults, and for kids ESPECIALLY ones who have no knowlage about defence or weapons
But he never shows his worries, just hangs around being cool dude he is😎😎
Rich cousin/uncle vibe
You like this cool hat you saw like week ago? Boom see it apear inside your closed 2days later
His love language (quick remidner that love also can be platonic🙄😎) is giving them little gifts when they don't see him or leaving notes with remiders on them ^^
Quick reminder that he and his wife wanted to have kids! So yeah Sole makes him wonder if thats how it feels to have kids tbh
If Sole calls him 'dad' bro will freeze and panic, probably pretending that he thought that was a joke but he's sweating so hard rn
Hancock
Wtf a child? Here?
Bestie you really shouldn't be here
If Sole is in this cringy teen phase when they do drugs/cigarettes, watch him say stuff like "drugs=bad" meanwhile taking some mentats
Your friendly local drug dealer vibe
Dude gonna teach them how to manipulate assholes, trow knifes, gaslight and still look stylish
If Sole ever tells him about their parents he will be angry, like ??? Why would anyone do anything to a kid???
He will litteraly pay fahrenheit to watch them when he's busy
Preson
"Fire, pretty sky and a lot of storytelling in middle of nowhere" vibe
Im 100% sure he knows how to play on guitar and will try to teach them
He will try to act mature and lead them to the right path but he won't try to be their "new perent" unless Sole is clear that they see him as father figure, he will never even bring this up.
When they call him 'dad' mans will be the happiest minuteman in history. Also if kid will even mention their past caretakers he will just tell them to forget about them cuz they aren't coming back and they are never going to hurt Sole anymore
Gage
How on earth some kid killed Colter? No one knows but Gage is impressed.
He gets annoyed by lack of knowlage and skills, ye ye he gets that they are like 13 or something but come on hes not going to do anything for them. Huh what do you mean you are from valut? Before the war?? Damn kid and im happy to be alive. Stop lying
*sighs* "jesus boss let me do it"
Older brother vibes.
"How many times i have to tell you, dont hang out with pack members they have bad influence on you AND do not even think about going near Nisha"
He needs to learn ALOT he dumped his family and even if he had younger siblings he never really took care of anyone, never, so yeah it is challenging
If Sole somehow calls him 'dad' they were probably incredibly tired or something very emotional happened. No matter how it happend Gage will ignore it and later overthink when Sole wont be around, like ??? Me??? Gee what kind of parental figure this kid had?? Should I check on them more often??
Danse
Uhh erm a child ee greeting?
Akward
At first he sees Sole as lil civilan and just tells them where to find nearest safe place/diamond city cuz hes very very busy and cant take care of child while on duty. If kid hangs around more he will probably warm up
Of course he will ask about their parents but when Sole tells him some upsetting stuff he won't ask again, he won't tell them to go home either. He will just idk let them vibe
I can imagine Sole just tagging along his missions by just begging him to hang out with them constantly. They quickly get along. Very lonley soldier and kid who lost everyone.
One of those 'depressed dude adopts random child he found in middle of knowhere' prompt
When Sole calls him 'dad' he gonna get emotional fr fr pls civilan he's on duty he cant cry rn 😭
Yall I loved writting for gage i might do part 2 with Gage just trying to figure out how kids work. Also another pole cuz I still have no clue how to delete those on phone. And as always, I used x reader tags ONLY to reach bigger audience 🦊

Just saw someone call AO3 a "cp-website" and I'm gonna just-
Tumblr media
Like I know every time the Archive has a fundraiser some people will crawl out of the woodworks and spout bullcrap, but geez-
If you don't like AO3, fine, that's your opinion. But don't call it a "cp-website", nor demonize people who donate to their fundraiser, from which a large part of the funds goes to KEEPING THE SERVERS AND HAVING PROPER LEGAL PROTECTION.
You know one of the main reasons why AO3 was created? Because in the "old days", if someone didn't like the fact that you, I dunno, wrote some wholesome gay fic online, they could report it and you might just lose your whole fic without warning, because think of the children, right? And to really put icing on the cake, your account might be deleted too. 🙃
Or, like I experienced, it won't just be one or three reports that get your fic taken down. Critics United for example was a group of these ~lovely~ people who would go on people's fics and suggest (harass) the author on how to change their fic to be "improved upon" (aka sanitize the fuck out of it so there is no trace of what they saw as gross/bad/wrong/cringe/sinful/etc.). If they didn't manage to harass you into deleting, they'd just mass report you.
I got literal death and rape threats for writing a Spamano version of Beauty and the Beast, told I was a criminal and that my parents should've killed me in my crib.
ALL OVER A STUPID LITTLE SELFINDULGENT FIC.
They even went so far as to track my username down from Fanfiction.net to Wattpad, and only once I got it on AO3 was the story able stay up because they had no way of harassing or reporting me like they could before, because I could easily turn my comments off to "registered users only" or even to "moderate comments." and that scared them off.
This was in 2016 by the way. Not even a decade ago. Now I could even block people if I want on AO3, so it gets harder to harass me, even if I did care.
But like yes, I agree on the fact that fics with cp are allowed on the site is rather gross. I would never write nor read it. But you know what helps with this?
AO3 HAS THIS TAGGING SYSTEM IN WHICH YOU CAN TAG AND FILTER OUT THE THINGS YOU DON'T LIKE, SUCH AS FICS WITH THE UNDERAGE WARNING :D
And guess what? It works great! I never have to see fics with cp in it, because I filter my fics. And even if I see that I accidentally clicked on a fic like that? I click out of the page and move the fuck on.
People on AO3 can and have written the most repulsive shit known to man, but more often than not, it's tagged with big warnings in the description. I have read cringy and horrifying fics that still made me nauseous to think back on, that have changed how I look at certain characters. And guess what?
THEY STILL DESERVE TO EXIST AND BE READ BY OTHERS.
Besides, there is a very fine line as to what some people define concepts like cp. Like I define it as minors being forced/manipulated into sexual situations, while others might look at an adult anime character who looks like a little kid and say that they shouldn't be sexualized. We are both correct in our own digital space there.
I don't like "shota/lolita" nsfw stuff, others do, and so I am just letting those people be and I avoid that content. Same with scat, or watersports, or cnc. Avoid, click away, goodbye. I don't demand that all "they look young but they're actually an adult!" types of media should be banned, nor that people who enjoy (reading about) sex with bodily fluids should be publically shamed, or that people who consentually enjoy the dark fantasty of being forced should be treated like an actual rapist.
And that's really what this is about. Don't like it, don't read/look at it. This whole "but they are allowing xyz and I don't like that!!" argument is basically becoming the same right-wing argument as "but I see xyz as wrong/bad/a sin and therefor nobody should be allowed to enjoy it."
If AO3 were to be forced to ban one thing, like people dealing with their childhood SA by writing a fic about it, who is to say they won't be forced to ban something like CNC next? What about kink? Queerness? Because that is the road a lot of right-wing people want you antis to take.
It's a main reason AO3 has fundraisers. For the servers to stay up. For legal support when a company claims fanfic is bad. For times that those things might get more expensive to maintain.
And because AO3 is of the few websites that allow everyone, especially queer people, to make art and have that art be protected from those that wish to destroy anything they do not like. And yes, that protection includes protecting work made by "bad" people.
So chill, skip over that fic you don't want to see, don't donate to or interact with AO3 if you don't want to, and maybe touch some grass? That would be great.
Rant over uwu

Pt1, Pt2 is here
A lil angst
"don't you guys ever think of getting married yet?"
You and Rin never really talked about those kinds of stuff. Kids and marriages. Mostly it's all about him and soccer and what he would do if he goes abroad or the things that he would buy for you if he continues to play for PXG or even a better club but honestly you thought about making a family just recently, you're 28 with no ring to be seen on your finger. It's hard for a woman to reproduce babies at 30 so when Rin asked you to go out with him all so suddenly you were fuming with excitement. All you can think was 'is this the day?', 'hopefully his speech wasn't too cringy or I might react' or the thought of a beautiful ring finally to be seen on your ring finger, it was a romantic evening, really it was.
Unfortunately it ended with Rin not getting down on one knee and saying the most corniest speech to his lover but instead he was talking about going to France to continue with his career. "So PXG offered to-", "Rin I'm very happy for you but I'm getting a Lil tired.." Rin furrowed his brows, he noticed how you didn't even ate or lifted up your utensils. "but you haven't ate yet?" he replied almost stuttering, the excitement had flewn away when he noticed that something was off about you. "Rin, can I ask you a question?" god, you don't have a clue how nervous he is right now, his heart is racing, he kept on thinking if he'd done something wrong, were you on that time of the month.
"Rin, I know that this is so random but we've been together since high school and people and my family had asked me so many times if we were planning to get married and you know what I also want to settle down, when are you planning to marry me? " Rin leaned back to his chair, he doesn't know what to respond but basing from that he knew that you expected him to get on one knee tonight. You never got a response, he looked everywhere but your eyes. He doesn't have an answer." babe, let's talk about this at home, how about we enjoy the meal first" he finally talked just as the waiter sets down our food but you looked at him in disbelief, you walked out of the restaurant while Rin sighed. "fuck" he muttered.
You're hurt that he's unsure, you're hurt because you knew the fact that he was not planning to marry you and stay with you forever like he promised too.

HUNTLOW WEEK FIRST PROMPT!
HALLOWEEN/HOOTY!!
//TIME FRAME//:THE HALLOWEEN AFTER WAD//WARNINGS:
Luz is American and therefore would use American English words, but I am a British English (mainly) speaker, so if I mention something that is not American or does not exist in America, I apologise. Example: Lollies VS candy. I use lollies and America (apparently, not gonna assume) uses candy. I’ll try to use the correct terminology, but in all due respect, this is Fanfiction, not a published novel from the greatest writer in the world.
References: MOVIE: A Quiet Place//NETFLIX//M RATED//HORROR/SCI-FI//(Recommend, good 👍)
Hunter picked up his scroll as a notification pinged on the screen. Luz.

Hunter cursed himself under his breath. Why did he say yes because Willow was going to be there? He knew now that his feelings for her were called ‘romantic’ and ‘a crush’, but all he’s going to get is teasing and he knows it. He sighed, getting off of his computer that Camila had given him. He walked downstairs, still cursing himself.
“Uh- Darius?” Hunter asked cautiously. Not his first time asking about something, but something about this made him feel nervous.
“Yes, little prince?”
“Uh, Luz has invited me to a ‘halloween party’. Can I go?” Hunter twiddled his thumbs together. Darius gave him a blank look.
“Yeah sure,” Darius replied. “Not like we are doing anything.” He placed a glass of Clawhey’s Extra Strong Boor on the table. “I’m having someone over anyways. Not like it’ll inconvenience that.”
Hunter nodded as if taking this very seriously. “Right. But uh, you were a teenager once right?”
Darius gave him a confused stare. “No way.” he snorted. “Thought I was born at forty-five.”
Hunter blushed. “That’s not- I mean-” He spluttered frantically. “How do you like… wow someone?” Cringy jazz hands were displayed to Darius in hope of them somehow increasing the knowledge to the situation.
“You want to impress someone?” Darius’s curiosity arose, despite having a very good idea of who.
“N-no! It’s like.. Hypothetically…?” Hunter stuttered awkwardly, his tooth gap showing as his face progressively turned a brighter hue of red.
“Well your Captain likes flowers so-” he cut himself off to admire the beautiful shade his son’s face, ears and apparently arms had so quickly turned to after the mention of his captain.
“Ex-excuse me!?” Hunter spluttered. “Who said this had anything to do with-”
“Hunter, I’m not stupid. You talk about her twenty-four/seven. There are pictures of her on your desk. And I found one under your pillow. Don’t play dumb. Like… everyone except her knows you are soft for her.” Darius continued, purely to annoy Hunter to the point where the boy’s body turns the same shade of crimson that his ears had. Hunter’s jaw had dropped so much that Darius could stuff Hunter’s ‘secret’ bi flag in it. Darius’s lips curled into a smirk.
“What, little prince?” his smirk only grew, Hunter becoming speechless. The blonde boy made a series of intelligible noises, each one being understandable in every way possible to his adoptive father’s ears. Darius shook his head.
“Go get ready.” he instructed the stuttering, hormonal teenage boy. Hunter shut his eyes and just accepted this.
“Will do.” he squeaked.
______________________
Hunter turned up at The Owl House cautiously. He knocked.
“Hooty, who is it?” Luz’s voice yelled. Hooty stuck his head out the window.
“Hoot hoot! It’s the weird blonde kid with the crush on Willow!” Hooty shouted back to Luz. Hunter blushed furiously.
“HOOTY!” he hissed. “My name is Hunter!” Hunter paused. “And I don’t have a crush on Willow.” he flushed, rubbing his arm. He looked down.
“Suuuuuuuurre!” Hooty mocked him. “I read the thing you wrote.”
Hunter’s head whipped up, flashback of the notebook he’d written his feelings in. TITAN! Hunter panicked.
“What writing?” he faltered, failing to hide the fact he had, in fact, written something a little bit… hormonal, to say it one way.
(:O Not like dat you dirty mind >:O)
“Don’t try to hide it with the names ‘O’Bailey’ and ‘Lily’. We aaaaallll know it’s just Hunter and Willowww!” Hooty nodded. Hunter sighed in relief. Hooty had only found his O’Bailey X Lily fanfiction. Not his diary. Hooty continued to babble on about his fanfiction, while Luz came to the door and let Hunter in.
“Even Hooty knows you have a massive crush on Willow, Hunter! How does she not realise it?!”
“Shhh Luz!” Hunter snapped.
“She’s not here, stop worrying.”
Luz complained impatiently. “Why can’t you just ask her out! You’re worse than me and Amity!”
A small gasp was heard from the room beside them, just as they were about to walk in.
“We weren’t that bad!” Amity’s lip wobbled fakely. Luz just smiled and shook her head. Hunter and Luz sat down with Amity, Gus and Vee. Now they were only waiting on Willow.
*WILLOW FINALLY TURNS UP :D*
“Willow!” Luz greeted her friend with a hug. Hunter smiled adoringly, watching from just beside the walls to the next room.
“Whatcha lookin’ at, kid?”
Hunter whipped around and smacked Eda in the face in a fight response.
“EDA!” he snapped. “You frightened me!”
Eda gifted Hunter with a rude stare. Raine showed up beside her.
“He’s looking at Willow.” Raine explained. “Haven't you noticed his extremely noticeable crush?”
Eda looked at Raine blankly. She shook her head. Raine sighed, abandoning any plan to try and help Eda understand. It wasn’t going to work. Hunter proceeded to turn what now seemed to be his face’s normal colour. He dismissed them both, walking back to the room. He could hear Willow’s footsteps as her and Luz approached the room. While Willow came in and sat down, Luz walked straight past the door. She started into a sprint, quite quickly coming back with small black boxes. She handed one to each of them.
“I got us all a little something. I know Hallween is a one-night thing, but you can use these whenever you want!” she exclaimed excitedly. Gus went straight into ripping his open.
“Oh, cool!” Gus grinned, pulling out a pair of bat pyjamas. Willow’s eyes lit up at the sight of Gus’s present. She opened hers as quickly as Gus had opened his. But in a more calm manner. She pulled out some black pumpkin pyjamas with vines all over the sleeves.
“Awww!” She held the cloth up to her face. “Thank you Luz!”
The rest of them, now intrigued, opened theirs. Amity pulled out a pair with black cats on them, while Vee found a witchy themed one in her hands. Hunter was the last to do so, and he took out his own one, which had werewolves on them. Forgetting where he was, and only caring about the fact they had wolves on them, Hunter’s eyes became wide as pans and seemed to shimmer. He hugged the pyjamas. The rest of the group giggled, and Hunter snapped back to reality. He coughed.
“I mean they’re cool I guess.” Hunter mumbled. Willow giggled softly and Hunter turned to her. His face returned to the carmine colour it has been so frequently this week. Willow thought that was cute.
“Heh, your face is all red.” she giggled. Hunter went a brighter shade of ruby. Luz clapped her hand together loudly, snapping everyone’s attention back to her.
“I wanted to go trick-or-treating but I decided that if I just bought the candy and we had a halloween sleepover it would be cool?” Luz explained.
“Yeah!” Hunter smiled, still ecstatic about his new pyjamas. He’s adorable… Willow thought. Without any warning, Luz pulled out a bag from under her bed and then proceeded to pull out bags of candy. Starbursts, Skittles, M&M’s, random chocolate bars that nobody bothered to read the label on. Though it probably wasn’t the best idea, Luz put on a movie on the TV she’d managed to shove through the portal, and they watched a movie while eating tons of candy. Luz had found a horror movie called A Quiet Place. They all huddled together on the couch.
“This might be a bit scary.” Luz announced quite loudly. Hunter, not waiting to show fear even though after reading the description was terrified, he smirked.
“The only one who would be scared is you, Luz. I’ve lived as the Golden Guard on the Boiling Isles for as long as I can remember.”
Luz grinned. “Of course, Hunter.” she nodded solemnly. “You are the strongest of them all.” she bowed to him. Hunter did not appreciate the mock. Luz turned the lights off and they sat down, facing the TV, Vee was on the very far right end, then Amity, Luz, Hunter, Willow, Gus.
“Whatever Luz. I guess we will see when the movie starts.”
*ABOUT 10 MINUTES IN*
Hunter was tense. Not a little bit, he was really really tense. The suspense of the movie scared him. The fact that there was no talking was freaky. The blanket Hunter had somehow acquired at some point during the movie was only allowing his eyes to be shown.he was wrapped up in it, but Luz being the sibling she is, decided to steal it.
“Hey!” Hunter whined. “I was using that!” Luz just snickered.
“Lol do not caaare!” she sang. Hunter whimpered. That was his safe space! He turned back to the movie, curling up timidly. A minute later, he got a tap on the shoulder.
“We can share if you want.” a small, soft voice whispered. Hunter turned to see Willow holding her blanket open. He blushed furiously, hoping the fact that the lights were off hid it.
“Itsfineiamok.” Hunter mumbled quickly. (It’s fine I am ok). Willow beckoned him to share with her. He tried to say no but she didn’t give up. His blush did not calm down as he finally agreed. He moved over a little bit. Willow noticed he was shy, and moved the rest of the way for him. She wrapped the blanket around him and moved a tiny bit closer. Their shoulders were touching, and Willow decided to close the small gap they had between them. She leant on him, unaware of the dark scarlet colour that had just overtaken the small ruby hue that dusted his cheeks. Slowly, due to the lack of noise, Willow fell asleep. Her head rested on Hunter’s shoulder. Usually, she’d be snoring. But she’d knocked herself out with sugar.
Oh my Titan… Hunter whined inwardly. She looks so peaceful and beautiful when she sleeps… maybe I should… hmm…
And to that thought, Hunter’s mind shut down and sleep overtook him. His head fell onto Willow’s. Absent-mindedly, Hunter’s body decided that Willow was a stuffed toy and he hugged her firmly.
MEANWHILE>>>
“OH MY TITANNNNN!” Luz whispered urgently. “EEEEEEEEEEE!”
Amity looked at her girlfriend, then saw the scene behind her.
“Ew.” Amity retched quietly.
“QUICK AMITY WHERE THE TITAN IS MY PHONE?!” Luz panicked. She fumbled the blankets as quietly as she could to find it.
“Hehe blackmail.” was the last thing she said before taking the photo and falling asleep with Amity.

I gave it a whole season with an open mind but Rings of Power is just... bad.
The writing is just bad. It’s all just so Intro To Creative Writing. I don’t even care about Middle Earth lore so I don’t mind any changes. What bothers me is if you’re going to adapt something and then change it, you’d better be changing it into something good. Instead, we got ALL the cliches. The fact that every episode I would guess the cliche line I was about to hear and then there it was, but I would still be stunned because I couldn’t believe they were THAT lazy, THAT obvious. I’m not exaggerating here, I literally made a joke several times and then one of the characters said the same thing but they were serious! The dialogue is flat. The characters are the most rote tropes. They think they have to spell everything out to their stupid audience (”You’re not Sauron! You’re the other one!”). They have the characters do random stuff or neglect to tell each other stuff not because it’s in character (lol) but because it makes a WHAM moment later (that falls flat because it’s so obvious).
Look, I’m pretty genre savvy, but I am not the only one who guessed how this all was going from several episodes ago. I knew it was Gandalf from episode one. I knew who was Sauron for several episodes. My mom is a big Tolkien nerd and kept saying “But that doesn’t make sense! Because in the lore-” and every week I had to remind her that these writers aren’t following lore and they don’t seem to care what makes sense, but they’re still easy to predict because of all the tropes and borrowed story beats.
The way they cut through travel made the world seem incredibly small. Then all the flip-flopping to drag things out because they’re bad at pacing; in Numenor, in the Southlands, with the dwarves, they decide things and then suddenly it’s undecided because they need more time. The absolutely garbage lines like “the elves are stealing your jobs” or “I’m GOOD”. The constant pulling of lines from the source material and putting them out of place, which is annoying for two reasons, first because it’s unearned but also because the stolen lines are the only good dialogue in this mess.
The casting of non-white actors in completely tokenistic roles. The fact that the harfoots are mostly white and are played by average sized actors. The fact that they have a few non-white actors and then cast white actors for their family members (Nori and her mom, the queen of Numenor and her dad) which just screams “we want it diverse, but not too diverse”.
And yes, Girlboss Galadriel who is peak perfomative feminism akin to W*nder Woman and She-H*lk, mass produced girl power with none of the depth or grit. Galadriel who is one-note in all of her motivation, who comes across as embarassingly stupid at times because it’s more important for her to be brash and stern. Writing out her husband in a random throwaway line because she couldn’t want to go out and fight while also being married or a mother (something so many weird defenders of this show seem to think means the opposite of what it is, like wanting her to be married and have a kid and still be out doing awesome things instead of becoming a tradwife is the ANTI-feminist view, and as if there’s a scarcity of single young action girls out there). The “I’ll never join you!” conversation with Sauron. Randomly just telling people to “trust her” instead of being like, “Yeah that was Sauron” so he can come back and screw stuff up later. Why? Why? Because they need her to, that’s why. But why, in-character would she do that? ~Don’t worry about it.~
Basically everything about badboy Halbrand, the Kylo Ren of Middle Earth. But especially his Jason Bourne moment in Numenor and the whole cringy “reluctant king” story. The one woman in town who wears color because she’s the Main Character. The sweet girl getting too close to Gandalf and he accidentally hurts her and she shies away. That may have been the worst one. Made me shout “I am not a gun!” because my goodness, these writers. They just steal everything. Every single twist was artlessly telegraphed and stolen from something better. A few times, this worked. The Stranger was predictable from the start, the dwarf storyline didn’t do anything particularly groundbreaking, Arondir’s star-crossed romance was incredibly bland. But the characters were fun to watch and the actors did well with the parts. It’s just unfortunate that, where a few of the characters managed to elevate the sea of cliches surrounding them, the majority just coasted on the surface.
This is giving me Star Wars Sequel vibes, even though I’m not a LotR fan like I am a Star Wars fan. It feels like plastic. It feels like they thought of everything but actually making a show worth watching. This show won’t be a classic, it’s just another revenue source. I don’t know if I would be this harsh if it were some small production and an original story. But for the money this cost, the fact that it’s so bland, so uninspired, so absolutely lazy is honestly insulting. I’ve seen so many lower budget fantasy stories with a hundred times more heart and brains than this. The bottom line is this: Amazon had all of the money to hire all the talent in the world and they’re giving us this??? The gall.

Arya doodles!!!
Aww my poor, poor girl. It’s her time to be given love and lots of hugs.
This is my OC, Arya K. Landegre! She is Regis and Rael’s daughter, and the former’s heir.
I haven’t gone in depth with her backstory yet, so I’m going to do that here. She’s one of my 15 “main” characters of my Millennium AU and her full bio is up in my pinned post.
I’ll be mentioning some other names in here too so to quickly recap, Arya is the younger one of the two Regis/Rael kids and her full-sibling and elder brother is Raegyn Kertia. (Arya has three half-siblings, with her elder half-brother Kaelestis Blerster on Rael’s side, and younger half-brother Garyth J. Loyard and younger half-sister Alethea J. Loyard on Regis’ side.) Arya has a pretty good relationship with her loving family, but it is a hard-earned one with a rocky beginning and a long, arduous journey. I’ll be explaining exactly why in a bit. Yay!!!
I love Arya for how dynamic she is and I’ve barely mentioned the more detailed stuff so here we are! My sweet Ari’s (almost) full backstory.
We already know that Arya is the odd one out in her generation. Among her fellow future Clan Leaders, Arya stands out as the one that is the least noble-like. She’s cringy, loud, fidgety, and most of all you just can’t get her to behave herself like a proper noble. If Lukedonia had yearbooks, she’d be nominated as the class clown. Hey, being so stiff all the time isn’t fun, right? I mean, just look at that freakishly long lifespan nobles have. You’re saying you’re gonna be around for at least a few more millennia, yet being uptight is the only way you know how, huh? Pfft, not in Arya’s watch. She’s gonna show you what real fun is, by ditching all formalities in favor of “you know, just winging it!”. After all, life is boring without a little improvisation every now and then. And if that means leaving your comfort zone, then Arya will be the one to hold your hand and guide you through your newfound fun. In a sense, Arya is the opposite of her big brother Raegyn Kertia. Raegyn loves to plan every little detail of his life, making sure to never go off track for even the tiniest of things, while Arya likes to live spontaneously. The past won’t hold her back, and the future does not concern her either. Any problems or consequences that arise, she will leave it to her “future self”. Duh. On many occasions, Raegyn had attempted to teach Arya the importance of planning things and the concept of delayed gratification, to no avail. Whatever he tells her seems to go in one ear and out the other. It’s Arya, what else did you expect from her? She’s just going to giggle and shrug it off. They are not too worried about her though, because she seems to be able to find a good balance in life despite her carefree nature, so they let her be. I mean, she is pretty wild, but it’s not like she’s going to burn down the forest or steal artifacts from the treasury for fun, right? Yeah, no way that’s going to happen. Mhm. Huh. Wait… hold up. Actually, forget it. She might. It’s unlikely though. Well, she doesn’t do that anymore. Anymore? What exactly does that mean? That’s where it gets interesting, so sit back and enjoy.
Remember in my last post about Raegyn where I said that Regis and Rael were super relieved that their Arya was a normal child with normal development, and not a “special” child like their difficult son? They were right about their daughter… at least partially. Regis and Rael waited for almost two centuries before having their second child. Their first child Raegyn gave them a hard time because he was too much of an outlier with his unmatched super intelligence. After Arya was born, and for some time in her early childhood, Regis and Rael had their eyes on her all the time, vigilantly watching for any signs that would show that she’s not an average child, and in turn they would give her the extra support she needs. And they waited. And waited. Thankfully, those signs never showed up. Whew. They could finally relax, as they only needed to deal to with Raegyn, and it seemed like they could raise Arya like they would with a normal child. Arya was average, in a good way. She was a bit too lively and feisty at times, but that’s not a big deal. She’s a kid, after all. Who doesn’t like an energetic kid? Regis and Rael had to discipline her occasionally, but other than that, they didn’t need to do much. They had a good time together as a family, and everyone was certain that Arya had a bright future ahead of her. Or, that’s what they thought. Uh oh.
Turns out her parents overlooked her feistiness, and there was a deeper underlying issue. This became more apparent as Arya grew a bit older, when she reached the human equivalent of a ten year old. At this point it wasn’t as simple as kiddie tantrums anymore. Regis and Rael found it increasingly difficult to discipline their daughter and calm her down when she got all worked up. Arya had a short fuse. A very short one. She was joyful and radiant, just as much as she had a big temper. She cried when she didn’t get what she wanted, she screamed when her parents gave Raegyn a millisecond more of attention than they did to her, and kicked and shoved and knocked things off tables when something simply wasn’t to her liking. And when she felt uneasy, she couldn’t stay still and was always pacing around, fidgeting, or both. And that’s when Regis and Rael finally understood what’s going on, when they realized that Arya may be even more difficult than their already difficult son.
If we’re being nice, then we can say that Arya has a… very strong personality. If we’re being honest, then Arya is a major pain in the ass. It’s as simple as that. She is only fun for as long as she doesn’t spiral into one of her tantrums, before her parents, Raegyn, or someone else needs to step in to physically restrain her until she calms down. And it’s worth noting that Regis and Rael were not neglectful or anything. They were attentive and loving parents who did their best to ensure that their daughter had everything she needed. It’s just that Arya happened to inherit several of her parents’ less desirable personality traits. Mix and match, boom. A recipe for disaster. Arya inherited Regis’ stubbornness, and Rael’s tendency to be possessive, jealous, and impulsive. Regis is more flexible now, and even Rael has shown massive improvement and growth, and doesn’t act like he did in his youth anymore. But Arya was only a child. She was still young, and she has yet to go through centuries of practice. Regis and Rael were really trying their hardest, but their daughter just didn’t seem to show any signs of improvement. For now, they’ll just keep trying in hopes that their little Ari would get better eventually. Maybe they were even in denial, as they didn’t like the possibility of Arya not being able to grow out of her “phase”, so to speak.
Despite the less positive aspects of her personality, kiddie Arya loved her parents very much, and she made sure to let them know. Raegyn’s situation was an entirely different case, as Regis and Rael parented him in a very unconventional way that didn’t quite resemble the dynamics of a typical parent-child relationship. On the other hand, Arya’s bond with her parents strongly resembled that of a typical parent-child relationship. She absolutely adored both her fathers, and loved being their baby. To little Arya, they were her everything. And they still are now. Regis and Rael are delighted with how their daughter loves them so much and how she never hesitates to express her love. The two of them didn’t really feel the same sentiment coming from their first child Raegyn during his childhood, and Raegyn still is kind of aloof as an adult. (They know that Raegyn loves them too, but Raegyn just never really bothered with the excessively sentimental stuff) To be honest, Raegyn is relieved that his sister is here to divert his parents’ attention so they don’t “loiter” around him all the time, and he can finally get some of that long desired freedom. And his sister being difficult doesn’t bother him because she is their parents’ kid, not his, so she’s not his problem. At most he’ll just step in when he needs to pretend to be a good big brother, or when his parents ask him to.
And Arya? She loves her brother dearly, and knows that he loves her too. Brother Rayray is nice. He reads books to Ari and gives Ari candies. He teaches Ari how to play games. He’s all good …until the very moment he gets more attention from their parents. Then she’s not so enthusiastic about him anymore. Do you see where I am getting at. As much as Arya adores Raegyn, she doesn’t actually mind how Raegyn is often absent during “family bonding time” because guess what? She can have her fathers alllll to herself. Maybe it’s even a good thing, even if it is one she can’t say out loud.
Arya is totally a daddy’s girl for both of her fathers. The two of them have different roles. Rael is the “fun” parent. Yes, Arya is his sweet little girl and he’s forever grateful for her very existence, but above all else, he sees himself in her. As difficult as Arya can be sometimes, she bears extreme resemblance to Rael and he loves her for that. Rael doesn’t mind Arya being a little feisty because he was like that in his youth too, and he turned out alright, didn’t he? Maybe he’s even proud of her for being so “lively”. That’s right, she’s his little girl! Arya is nearly identical to Rael in both looks and personality. If only she had the Kertia blonde as well, her parents joke. In addition, since the beginning, Rael had desperately wanted a child to pour all his love into, but Raegyn wasn’t quite what he had expected, so he didn’t get to experience the typical joy of parenting. Then Arya came along. Arya adored him, admired him, and stuck to him like a piece of gum. She practically glued herself onto her Kertia daddy.
Rael is of course absolutely overjoyed, and responded by showering her with every ounce of affection in his system. He often lets Arya indulge herself in things, and gives in to her begging. He spoils Arya by sneaking her out of class early, letting her stay past bedtime, slipping an extra cookie when Regis isn’t looking... etc. Anything to see his little girl put on a big, big smile and hear her say “thank you Daddy” with enthusiasm. Perhaps he went a little too overboard, and the spoiling became a bit excessive. But hey, Rael just can’t help it. In a way, whatever he wished he could’ve done but didn’t get to do with Raegyn, he fulfilled through Arya. Arya basically gets double of everything. And she’s just too cute. I mean, she’s a chip off the old block! Rael continues the spoiling well into Arya’s teen years. This does eventually snowball into a bigger problem, which will be addressed later.
On the other hand, Regis is the “strict” parent. For most of the time, he lets Rael have fun with Arya because he knows how deeply Rael cherishes that affectionate bond with their daughter. At the same time Regis never misses the chance to discipline Arya when she needs it. Kiddie Raegyn was very self-sufficient and preferred independence over being “parented”; Arya was not, and needed plenty of parental support and behavioral correction. Sorry kiddo, no more skipping classes for you, and whining won’t make demands come true. Jokes aside, other than being the rule enforcing parent, Regis is very, very affectionate with Arya and they have an extremely close father-daughter relationship. Lovely. Regis can be proud of himself. He used to get flustered at something as simple as getting his head patted by (his basically adopted sister) Seira, and now he is actually pretty comfortable with giving and receiving both physical and emotional affection. One of Arya’s favorite things to do as a kid was running her little fingers through Regis’ hair and playing with his black streaks, and then happily pointing at her own streaks while exclaiming “I’m a Landegre!” To which Regis would smile and respond, “yes, my little Ari”. Aww, how precious. Arya takes great pride in being Regis’ daughter and heir. She is her daddy’s successor, the great Regis K. Landegre!
While it’s true that Arya tends to go to her Kertia daddy when she wants to get the okays to break rules or have some relatively reckless fun, it is Regis who is her favorite. Sorry Rael. He doesn’t have to know Regis is Arya’s number one. Period. Has always been, and will always be. As soon as Arya could recognize her surroundings, Regis became the center of her world. If she admired Rael, then she idolized Regis. She loved him, she worshipped him, she put him on a pedestal. Yeah. That person over there. You see him? He’s Ari’s Landegre daddy! How sweet. It doesn’t matter if Regis didn’t let her overindulge in things, or that he’s less lenient with her misbehaving at times. Everything Regis believes in and does, is right. No arguments. Maybe she’d even get offended on his behalf if anyone tried to question him. Regis is her idol, and she’d follow in his footsteps even if she honestly doesn’t feel too much enthusiasm towards clan duties and whatnots. Young Arya actually had her parents taken by surprise when she showed that, after all, she was capable of sitting through an entire afternoon of Regis walking her through Landegre CL duties without fidgeting or complaining much. For a restless child like her, it’s an unusual and incredible feat, because she doesn’t display this extent of patience when it comes to other matters. Responsibilities and expectations, future Clan Leader, blah blah blah… even if these things didn’t really interest Arya, she’d do it for daddy dearest. Anything for Regis. She’s totally obsessed with him. Many even too obsessed. And this obsession is the catalyst for many unfortunate events to come. Remember how I said she inherited Rael’s tendency to be possessive, jealous, and impulsive? Yep, exactly that.
Fast forward to Arya’s teen years. When Arya was around the human equivalent of 13-14 year old, she “learned” about Regis’ drastically shortened lifespan. This was around the time her younger half-siblings Garyth and Alethea were born. Initially, Regis had intended to donate only one soul fragment to Seira for the birth of her heir, but their combined soul fragments unexpectedly split into two separate, unstable pieces and Regis didn’t have the heart to let the smaller piece perish. So in an attempt to save it, as it was dying, he extracted another soul fragment from himself and gave it to the smaller piece that would later become Alethea. He succeeded. They succeeded. But the unexpected extra soul fragment extraction shortened his lifespan even more. Three soul fragment extractions is already pushing the limits for noble standards. Four? That’s unheard of. Regis didn’t have much longer to live. Uh oh. Arya is definitely not going to take this well.
And this is not due to Arya previously being oblivious to the mechanism behind noble birth or anything. All nobles know that having children would shorten one’s lifespan. They understood how it worked, and that a noble’s lifespan would roughly halve for each child etc. Arya knew this as well. However, she only started to really think about it once her half-siblings were born, because she never really saw Regis that way. All this time she had been busy obsessing over him and putting him on a pedestal. She had been way too in love with the concept of him being her father to the point where she basically almost completely forgot about the fact that no, he indeed won’t be around forever. Regis is not immortal. To make matters worse, not only was Regis not immortal, he also doesn’t have much left. Time is ticking. Regis is dying. Her daddy, her idol, her world — he’s dying. The shock comes from the realization, perhaps one that is a little too late. It’s also important to note that Regis did not consult with either of his children regarding his decision to contribute what is essentially his lifespan to Seira’s heir. Regis had only spoken with his husband Rael regarding this matter and both of them agreed that his contribution to Seira would be a good idea. After all, Seira is family to Regis. Of course he would help her with her heir. By both Lukedonian law and common practice, neither juvenile nor adult children are entitled to any input when it comes to one or both of their parents’ decision to donate more soul fragments or just having more children in general. Parents don’t need to say anything to their existing children. No one owes anyone explanations. That’s just how things are.
Though, on a personal level, that’s where things get complicated. The Regis/Rael kids only learned about their half-siblings after their birth. Raegyn’s reaction upon hearing the news was just… nothing. He simply raised his eyebrows, shrugged, and gave a fake smile. Neat. Sure, more siblings, though they aren’t his problem, they’re Seira’s, so he doesn’t care. And while Raegyn loves Regis, he respects Regis’ decision (and his parents’ collective agreement) about what Regis wants to do with his lifespan. If he wanted to shave off more years for the sake of his family aka Seira, then go for it. To be honest, Raegyn probably isn’t even attached enough to Regis for him to care. Arya on the other hand… oh boy.
Unlike Raegyn, who was calm and supportive, Arya did not take it well. In fact, she took it quite personally. Very personally. Extremely personally. Upon the initial news delivery of her half-siblings’ birth, she was shocked. Arya went numb, and didn’t seem to have any reaction at all. It took her a whole day to process the information and then it hit her. She excused herself and locked herself in her room. Witnesses recalled how the horrific, explosive screams that seemed to have come from the Landegre manor did not stop for an entire week. There was some sobbing, some hysterical laughing, but mostly screams. Screams much, much worse than what you’d imagine would come from tortured souls from the depths of hell. Bystanders could feel the sheer force of anger and despair in the very core of those screams just by listening. And not once did Arya think of using her noble powers for noise canceling. It may have even been deliberate, as she wanted the whole world to know that she’s upset, even if she won’t actually say why. Even her own parents can’t seem to get her to talk. The screams only stopped when Arya grew too tired and passed out in exhaustion for another week. People eventually forgot that this had happened, and simply shrugged it off as one of her “usual tantrums”. It was only oddly timed, because it happened right after her half-siblings were born, but other than that, no big deal, right? Then they’re wrong. Very, very wrong. Raegyn knows why because he is more than smart enough to tell. He doesn’t care, though.
Arya felt betrayed. Regis betrayed her. He betrayed her by giving his lifespan away without even telling her. He never once asked for her opinion, and he didn’t even bother to notify her of the decision, as if it was never a big deal to start with. Rael betrayed her as well. He betrayed her by not stopping Regis, because he clearly had a part in the final decision, right? Arya knows she has no claim over how Regis plans to use his lifespan, but still… she is his daughter, their daughter, and she had every reason to be upset with Regis literally handing away his life, the very life which he was supposed to spend with her. Both Regis and Rael betrayed her. Her fathers, her daddies, the two of them — both of them — turned their backs on her just like that. Yet Arya could not bring this up to either of them. She just can’t. She can’t tell them she’s upset. She did not know how to approach this subject, neither did she have any clue on how to sort out her rampaging questions and feelings. The mere thought of this clutter of a mess makes her feel sick. Her stomach sinks, and her chest aches. A deep, pulsating ache that seems to spread to every corner of her body. When she thinks she has worked up the courage to say it out loud, the clutter lodges in her throat and she loses the ability to speak. She physically can’t say those words. Her muscles tense up, and she starts sweating. She tries to speak those words but nothing comes out despite her moving her mouth. Only an inaudible, croaky cry. And then she’ll tear up. It’s impossible. She just can’t. Arya can’t ask any questions, her one thousand why’s. Why, why, why, why, just… why. Ari knows that Seira is daddy’s family too, and daddy wants to help her and show her his support… but isn’t Ari also daddy’s family? She is his daughter and heir, and she should’ve been his top priority. Was she, in his eyes, not important enough for him to not give away a portion of his lifespan just like that? Did he even think of her when he extracted the soul fragments from himself?? Can he really bear the thought of leaving her behind, before she is ready to face this world by herself??? Does he even care…? These thoughts and questions would continue to torment her for the longest of times. You’d probably ask, why can’t Regis and Rael just read her mind? Well, they certainly tried. They failed. They couldn’t see anything when they attempted to read their distressed daughter’s mind. It probably had something to do with Arya’s defensive mechanism, where she had unconsciously formed some sort of intangible barrier that prevented people from reading her mind.
Regis and Rael did not know how to comfort their daughter, as she just wouldn’t tell them why she’s upset, and they see nothing when they read her mind. All they can do is give her hugs when she asks for them. Especially Regis. Arya would bury her face into his chest and cry for hours. He can only softly stroke her head and give her gentles pats on her back, hoping that it would ease whatever pain his daughter is experiencing. Not a word spoken from either one of them, with Arya’s occasional inaudible mumbles breaking the silence. And Raegyn? He’s completely out of the picture. He hates anything emotional, which includes dealing with the feelings of others, even when it comes to his sister. Raegyn nopes the hell out of their home as soon as Arya gets worked up, so he doesn’t have to pretend to be nice and comfort her. Every single time. Poof and he’s gone, and you can guarantee that you won’t be able to find him until Arya is finished with her business. Though Regis, Rael, and Arya herself are probably too busy to notice Raegyn is missing.
Arya’s impeding grief shouldn’t be taken lightly. All bottled up along with her grief is her anger, sadness and confusion. It will accumulate, and might as well kill her one day. All that energy has to be released somewhere right? Telling her family isn’t an option because she simply can’t. Her friends and acquaintances… they might react negatively. She can’t say for sure, but she is hesitant about opening up to them about this sensitive subject. And great-grandfather Gejutel is too busy, who knows if he’ll even care. And all the other adults aren’t trustworthy enough in Arya’s eyes. There was no one she could go to. Arya was alone. Arya was desperate. She once was the happiest girl on the planet. She had loving parents, and a nice big brother. There was nothing else she wished for. She only wanted life to stay as it is, with Regis as the center of her world. Regis, Regis, Regis. Her number one. And now he’s dying, by his own choice, albeit indirectly. He had about less than two thousand years left. Even then two thousand years by itself is a long time. Not for Arya. She could spend all eternity with Regis if she could. If Regis didn’t extract two more fragments from himself, he would have had around eight thousand years left. There’s nothing Regis can do, there’s nothing anyone can do. There’s nothing Arya can do. She’d give up part of her own lifespan and transfer it to her father if she could, if that means getting to spent more time with him, but that is impossible. Even if she could, she just knows Regis would never let one of his own children cut their lifespan short just so he could live for longer. It should be the other way, if any. Ugh. Regis is too kind and too generous for his own good. There was nothing left for Arya to do, except to accept the truth and deal with it. But Arya didn’t want to. There has to be another way. She felt cornered. And then she snapped.
The first obvious change was Arya’s newfound apathy regarding her clan. Arya completely lost interest in the Landegres. She stopped caring about her status as future Clan Leader. Clan duties, managing her future clan members, paperwork, leadership training… none of that mattered to her anymore. At first she only had occasional absences. Those grew into frequent absences, and in the end she skipped her lessons altogether. She just stopped showing up. She was never genuinely interested in these things to start with. She made herself sit through all that boring, repetitive nonsense for Regis’ sake, and if her daddy isn’t going to be around for much longer, then she doesn’t want to partake in this anymore. Arya is determined to just ditch it all. And she isn’t even bad at being future Clan Leader. She is pretty average at most things, but she is a hard worker. Without talent, she makes it up with effort. Now that Regis will be gone soon, none of this means anything to her anymore. We’re talking about almost two centuries of hard work that Arya is ready to abandon. If Regis can choose to leave her behind, then she can choose to leave all of this behind too. Her parents and Lukedonia’s general population are very worried about her sudden change in attitude, but all they could do is to hold their breath and hope that the passionate Arya would come back one day.
The second, and perhaps even worse than the first, is Arya turning towards causing trouble for the sake of trouble. Arya is already naturally prone to recklessness and impulsivity thanks to getting those personality traits from Rael. All these years she’s been trying her best to control herself, albeit with limited degrees of success. The point is at least she tried. Now take that, and actually give Arya a reason to not work hard to behave herself anymore. From her perspective, she is justified to do as she pleases because Regis betrayed her trust. The world betrayed her trust. Her acting out and being a menace made sense. She’s just responding accordingly. Yeah. Exactly that. Lukedonia can’t complain, no one can complain, because they gave her no choice. They forced her into this, and now they have to deal with her whether they like it or not. If they can’t handle her, it’s not her problem.
And I would like to mention a key difference between Raegyn and Arya. It is one that defines them and sets them apart, and that is the gap between their maximum capacity and potential when it comes their character. Raegyn is the outlier. His intelligence, flexibility, and social skills are all top tier. He is basically built for success. That’s just what he was born with. You can say he was blessed with everything he needs in this life. Not only is Raegyn academically gifted, he is also extremely smart with people. Raegyn knows how to order around, and his friends targets don’t even know that they’re being manipulated by him. He is also more than smart enough to get away with committing crime and being a real danger, if that is what he wishes to entertain himself with. Except he isn’t interested in that stuff. He has the potential to be dangerous, but he isn’t.
This is where Arya comes in. Arya is average. She is average compared to Raegyn, and she is average by herself. Her intelligence? Average. Her social skills? Average. Her fighting prowess? Better than most of Lukedonia, but when compared to her fellow future Clan Leaders, average. Arya is simply… average. She wasn’t spectacular at anything, nor was she severely lacking. She simply was. And depending on how you look at things, this could be both good and bad. In Arya’s case, it’s definitely bad. Why? Because now Arya wants to wreak havoc just because. Except she isn’t nearly as smart as she needs to be to execute it in the way that would keep herself out of trouble. Combine that with her impulsivity, and what you get is an unpredictable, unstable person who is reckless enough to get herself into trouble but isn’t smart enough to get herself out of it. Arya is also bossy like Rael. She likes to control people, except unlike Raegyn, she isn’t smart enough to know how to order around. If Raegyn uses brains, then Arya uses force. Raegyn gains control over people by being smart. Arya isn’t capable of mimicking even just a fraction of that. That is why Raegyn is popular while Arya has a debatable reputation among her people. And just like Rael, Arya isn’t the best at dealing with being told “no” by others. Yiiiiikes.
And here’s the deal. Arya is average. We know that. Is Arya aware? Perhaps. She isn’t dumb enough to not know that she is in fact average. She knows what her limits are. Does knowing that stop her from being a menace? No. Arya doesn’t care. Who cares if she isn’t smart enough. If she wants to cause trouble, then she will cause trouble. Consequences are for later. They do not concern her. Nothing is going to stop her, and nothing can stop her. The stubbornness she got from Regis is certainly running its gears here, for the worst.
What exactly does Arya do? The list could go on forever. A few of her more “notable” and favorite crimes to commit include arson, blackmail, bribery, forgery, theft, and vandalism. Out of those, arson, theft, and vandalism stand out the most.
Arson. Arya needed to let out all that bottled up anger, and she turned to setting things on fire. It didn’t involved anyone else, and she could do it without other people noticing. If she’s going to turn to crime, then she can start with something “simple” and ease her way into bigger, more satisfying ordeals. That’s why the very first spell Arya masters is an ignition spell. The Landegres aren’t a magic aligned clan, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t learn a few spells. It first started with smaller things that didn’t matter as much. Pages from her notebook, a childhood toy, old clothes, things that are going to the trash anyway, etc. Items she wouldn’t miss, that no one would miss. How cathartic. It didn’t numb her pain of Regis’ impeding passing, but it was better than nothing. She could imagine that she is watching the world burn. And when she got comfortable with burning smaller items, she moved onto bigger items. Burning less important items no longer gave her the satisfaction she needed. So she looked for more. A couch. A closet. A statue. An abandoned cabin. A small patch of forest in the Loyard territory. It goes exactly where you think. Things spiraled out of control. And the thing is Arya only bothered to learn an ignition spell, and not a counter-spell for it. Arya had to cry for help because she realized that the entire forest will burn down soon if no one intervened. The nobles who responded were able to put out the fire just in time before it reached the Loyard manor. And Arya? She was punished for it. Her Clan Leader issued the punishment himself. But she was still a juvenile, so she didn’t get what she arguably deserved, which is a punishment befitting of her crime if she were an adult. Will this stop Arya from committing more arson? No.
Theft. Arya also began to steal. At first it started with sneaking less valuable items out of people’s pockets. Things people wouldn’t immediately realize have disappeared, and by the time they wanted to looked for them, they were long gone. All in Arya’s possession. And, you guessed it, stealing smaller items was no longer enough for Arya. Then Arya moved onto stealing bigger things. She targeted items that potentially had high sentimental value. We’re talking diaries, jewelry, lockets, portraits, even old cooking pans. The mere thought of people breaking down and panicking over lost items was amusing to her. Sweet sweet. Of course the pain they would feel is not nearly enough to compare to what she has to go through when it comes to her dying daddy, but it’s better than nothing. They better cry. Be in pain, just like her. If she couldn’t be happy, then none of them should. Just like with Arya’s arson crimes, her stealing things got out of hand real quick and soon Arya was breaking into various clans’ treasuries and smuggling important statues and sculptures out of there and into her home. Except Arya isn’t exactly smart, like I mentioned earlier. She’s not at all an expert it comes to covering her tracks, and on her second break-in attempt in the Blerster territory, she got caught in the act by none other than Karias Blerster himself. Karias handed Arya to Regis and he had to punish her again. When he searched her room, they found many, many other stolen items and Regis made sure to make her return them to their respective owners before he grounded her. Again, like before, is this going to stop Arya from committing theft again? Haha, no.
Vandalism. At this point Arya didn’t even bother to be discreet anymore. If she’s not smart enough to get away with anything she does, then she might as well stop all attempt to cover her tracks. Committing crime was her outlet, and she needed it. No one was going to take that away from her. Hell, if she can’t give up committing crime as her primary coping mechanism, then she’s just going to accept that that’s her new life. She might even be petty enough to announce that she is behind whatever chaotic shit is going on. Smashed a window? She would smear “Arya was here” on the walls with her blood. Sabotaged a garden full of herbs and other important plants? She would rearrange the uprooted and trampled plants to spell “Haha losers” for garden’s owner to witness. Destroyed part of a building? She would stand on the roof and laugh and laugh and laugh, and scream “come catch me you suckers!”as she waves her arms around. Again, Regis would be the one to punish her. He doesn’t understand why Arya suddenly turned to delinquency. Does she really enjoy being a criminal? Is this Arya’s true nature…? Neither Regis nor Rael know that Arya is simply doing this to cope with Regis’ shortened lifespan. They are not aware of the fact that this is her coping mechanism. It isn’t a justified one, for sure, but still. They do not know her true motives, and she seems to be reluctant when questioned.
In no time, Arya became notorious for being criminal. Moods were ruined and atmospheres were spoiled as soon as her name was brought up. A rumor began to circulate, one that said that if you said Arya’s name, your home would light up in flames. There was a collective sentiment among the nobles where they all agreed that they couldn’t wait for Arya to come of age so she can be tried as an adult.
Raegyn is rather unhappy with his younger sister’s… newfound hobbies. She is indirectly affecting his social life because now people just want to ask about his “delinquent sister”. That’s all they want to talk about. Dammit, it’s not his fault his sister has a “underdeveloped prefrontal cortex”, as he puts it. Thankfully he is rational enough to not say that out loud. Arya doesn’t need to know.
And Regis? Regis tries everything he can to correct and put Arya’s behavior to a permanent stop. And he fails spectacularly. He tried being nice with the gentle approach. He also tried the stern and authoritarian approach. Him questioning Arya would usually result in two endings, with Arya either pretending she can’t hear him and covering her ears and singing lalala, or she’ll burst into tears and sob uncontrollably. Regis could tell that those tears were genuine, but he just couldn’t get Arya to talk. Her confessing to the motives behind her crimes wouldn’t lighten her punishments, but at least Regis could have an answer as to why she is acting like this. In the end, nothing works. Regis seems to begin to lose hope in his daughter. His patience and faith in Arya started to wane. As much as Regis still loves her, he couldn’t recognize his little girl anymore. Regis is heartbroken.
Things aren’t any better for Rael. Remember when I said that Rael is the parent who spoils Arya? Well, things took an even worse turn. Arya started to bring up Rael during verbal interrogations. She ran out of excuses to bullshit, and then… she recalls stories about Rael being a former criminal, like him blowing up a portion of the castle when Seira rejected his proposal. Aha. The perfect excuse. She can just say she’s just like Rael. Can’t help it, it’s in her blood. What can she do, she’s her Kertia daddy’s daughter. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Something like that. He can soften the blow for her. And then Rael inevitably gets roped into dealing with Arya’s destructive behaviors. Of course Arya is the perpetrator, and Rael is not part of it. But still, he does have some things from his old days on his criminal record, so… to say that people have zero suspicions, would be a lie. Surely he knows better than to prompt his daughter to indulge in crime for funsies. But who knows? Rael had to clear the common suspicions by punishing his little girl himself. Usually, he is not the one to issue her punishments as Arya is a Landegre and he is a Kertia, which leaves Regis as the ultimate decision maker. And Lord Raskreia too, but only if Arya’s crimes escalates to that level, which Rael hopes will never come true. In addition, Rael has a soft spot for Arya and her words aren’t complete nonsense. After all, he did blow things up because Seira rejected him, but he has learned from his mistakes and he’s a better person now, right…? Nevertheless, Rael is hurt by Arya doing this to him. At the same time, he also felt sorry for her, because it is true that she inherited certain traits from him, and it is partially his fault for spoiling her too much in her early days.
Arya wasn’t only a criminal. She was also a bully. And the targets of her actions? Her Loyard half-siblings. That’s right. Garyth and Alethea. Yup. The ones who stole Regis’ time from her, the time she is rightfully entitled to, and the very causes of his shortened lifespan. If Arya couldn’t blame Regis, she figured she could blame them instead. Just think about it. They’re younger than her, they’re weaker than her, and she is their older sister by blood. By that logic, they had to listen to her, right? Arya probably thinks she’s so smart for figuring that out.
To Arya, Garyth and Alethea are indebted her. They belong to her. Everything they’ve ever been, and everything they’ll ever be, they owed to her. If it weren’t for her father, her Regis, they wouldn’t even exist here. Even if they didn’t ask to exist, they are still indebted to her. Thanks to them, Arya doesn’t have much time left with her daddy dearest. First and foremost, he’s her father, they share the same surname, she should be his top priority! Except in Arya’s eyes, she wasn’t that to Regis. And to her, the Loyard siblings are living proof of that sentiment. They are just as guilty as him. Arya’s total obsession with Regis, and her wanting to have him all to herself, is driving her insane. She loves him as much as she is obsessed with him. And the truth is Arya doesn’t really have a reason to be mean to her Loyard siblings. They’re nice, well-behaved kids. They’re polite, and try to be patient around their elder half-sister.
But it didn’t matter. If Regis isn’t going to be around for much longer, then these two will love her in Regis’ place. If they don’t love her, then she will make them love her, even if that means doing so by using force. Arya bossed them around, and made them listen to her every request. They were her little workers basically. This led to a very unhappy Garyth. The Kertia bloodline is just terrible. His elder half-sister’s father Rael harassed his mother Seira, and now Arya herself is here harassing him! It runs in the family. It has to be. This just further cements little Garyth’s already boiling hatred for Rael’s guts. (Will explain this a bit more in Garyth’s own post) Meanwhile little Alethea is fine with being bossed around. She doesn’t really know what to do with her life anyway, so rather than coming up with her ideas, she could just listen to Arya. (Also explaining more in Alethea’s own post) Due to Alethea’s nature of not really having her own opinion on things, she often gets lugged around by Arya. Yes, this includes Arya’s criminal activities. Arya doesn’t fully explain things to Alethea and purposely leaves out details so Alethea would join in on her… adventures. Which is why poor Alethea is often seen following Arya as the latter’s unwitting accomplice.
Fortunately, the adults know better than to accuse Alethea along with Arya because they just know that Arya is the mastermind and Alethea simply got tricked into being a part of her shenanigans. At one point Arya got the equivalent of a restraining order and she wasn’t allowed to be within a five hundred meter radius of Alethea, until she made a written promise that she wouldn’t trick Alethea into doing illegal things again.
Ultimately, Arya’s destructive behavior is unsustainable. When she got out of being grounded, she would just commit crime again. Soon, her 200th birthday approached, and she could not do as she pleased anymore. If she were to commit the same crimes she had before, she would be tried as an adult and punishments would be much more severe, and she would have to deal with real consequences.
One faithful day, Arya was snooping around Regis’ office and she overheard a conversation between him and Rael. Regis was stressed. There was plenty of silence. And then she heard crying. It came from Regis. For all her life, she had never seen her father cry. And then it hit her. Regis weeped, and talked about how scared he is for Arya. He wasn’t angry; he wasn’t disappointed. He was scared. He didn’t know what Arya was capable of, and now that her birthday is nearing, she would get into serious trouble and he would no longer be able to save her. Her approaching coming-of-age was not one of joy nor celebration; it was one of fear. Pure fear. And then Regis started to sob. His biggest fear is having to watch Arya get executed if she really goes beyond the point of no return. Finally. The long needed moment of awakening for Arya. Her acts of rebellion wasn’t helping anyone, and it hurt her loved ones more than anyone else. Most of all, it hurt Regis. Her Regis. She needs to stop, for her own sake, and for everyone else’s sake.
Arya didn’t say anything, and quietly left before she could listen to the rest of her parents’ conversation. She stayed silent for the longest duration of time. And… she came clean to her parents. This took her parents by surprise, as they initially thought that was some prank. But she was serious. Arya walked into the center of the room, kneeled, and apologized to her parents. No tantrums, no whining, no bargaining. It was a deep, sincere apology. A heartfelt apology for everything she had done, and the worries she had caused. Arya also promised to never do those things again, and that she will make up to everyone she has wronged. Regis and Rael were moved. They could feel her sincerity, and Regis simply walked over slowly and kneeled down to Arya’s level and hugged her while rocking her gently. Just the two of them on the floor, both on their knees, in a deep embrace. One that they haven’t shared since Arya’s early teen years. Then Rael joined in, and the three of them couldn’t hold back their tears anymore, and they all sobbed together. It was messy. A good mess. Repentance leads to reconciliation, which leads to the start of a new beginning.
Arya first started by apologizing to everyone she has wronged in both writing and in person. She wrote to them first, because she wasn’t sure if they would even want to see her. After she got permission, she then went to them in person and knelt and apologized for her wrongdoings. And this went on for a long time just because of the sheer number of people she had offended. It was a long list. Arya is not going to come up with excuses this time. She is going to go through all of them, as she should. Or, the ones who are willing to accept an apology from her. Some did not want to see her, even for an apology. Many of them did not respond to her letters. Some of them even replied and basically told her to screw off and to never show her face in front of them again. This made sense. Reconciliation required the effort of both perpetrator and victim to happen, and some of her victims just weren’t having it. That is the hard truth Arya has to accept and live with. For those who did accept Arya’s apologies, they genuinely forgave her. With time, wounds healed, and Arya was ready to be back as a functional member of society. It took her a while to be able to lift her head around people again, but they accepted her back, and what position is she in to reject their kindness?
Garyth and Alethea forgave Arya too. Well, Alethea never held a grudge against Arya in the first place, Garyth just told her that she should be mad at their half-sister for manipulating them. It took a much longer time for Garyth to forgive Arya, but eventually he was able to find peace with her and move on from the past. Though, sometimes he still has a hard time looking at her face. She was a bully, even if she tries her hardest to make up to them now.
What about Arya’s duties? Well, Arya picked up her responsibilities as future Clan Leader once more. She had been neglecting them for the entire duration of her delinquency, and now she’s back at it, as she should. In fact, she’s working harder than ever before. And she’s also intensely training herself in spars. Her aim is to succeed Regis as Clan Leader as soon as possible, so he can be free to enjoy the rest of his remaining lifespan without being so busy with work and duties.
Arya’s stepping back into the light doesn’t mean that her issues have disappeared completely. In fact, they’re very much still there. The grief was real. The sadness was real. It’s a wound that will never heal in Arya’s heart, and it stings every time she thinks about her daddy dying. It’s just that her conscience has won for once and all, and she isn’t going to let the bad side of her personality to take over her anymore. She can keep it in. She has to. So what’s her new coping mechanism for her grief? Three… two… one… yep, ya guessed it. Acting like she’s happy. Too happy. Her fake cheerful personality that she puts on to trick Regis into thinking she is having a good time. The overly enthusiastic Arya who is cringy and spontaneous, but fun. She doesn’t want Regis to worry about her anymore, and wants him to be able to eventually pass knowing that she is happy and fulfilled. Yeahhhh, it’s coming together in a full circle! Woo! Is this a better alternative to her previous coping mechanism of being a delinquent? It’s debatable. Maybe this is just as unhealthy. Maybe even unhealthier. But for now… this’ll do. She has no other choice. She’ll keep up this fake cheerful persona for as long as she can. Until she breaks down again.
(Note that Arya still hasn’t told her parents that she is troubled with Regis’ impeding death. Nobody knows. They know she will never fall into crime again, but still don’t have any clue about why she was like that in first place.)
Well, the good news is, eventually Arya is able to communicate with her parents about her true thoughts a feelings. It does take a long time, and that is for a separate post. Yeeee saving that for later hehe. I will explain Arya’s relationship with her girlfriend Susanna in a separate post too!
Thank you for reading, and stay tuned for the next long character post!
See you again!

Gorillaz Headcanons.
2D owns an extensive collection of band T-shirts and when Noodle was still small enough, she would "borrow" them and wear them as dresses. She still borrows them to this day. They just don't come down to her knees anymore.
Sometimes 2D still gets asked to show his ID, even though he's nearly 45.
Russel refused to let Murdoc or 2D teach Noodle how to drive. In fact after a certain incident that ended with a car on its back,he would only drive let 2D drive if he couldn't, if Noodle was in the car, and he wouldn't let Murdoc drive at all.
After Noodle joined the band, Murdoc forged every document she would need to live with them legally. This was a direct response to 2D asking him, "What we are going to do if social services come round?" He'd later find out that 2D quote. "Wasn't even thinking about any of that legal stuff. I was thinking about the state of this place. I mean, who'd let a kid live here? Especially with you?"
2D considers how they were able to keep Noodle in Kong Studios and even more so in their care to be one the greatest mysteries of the universe.
According to these fake documents, Murdoc is her adoptive father. Noodle has tried to burn these documents multiple times.
Creating these documents also promted the boys to give her a "real name" and this came from them realising they couldn't just put "Noodle" on these documents. They at least needed something they could put under "Last name". So, with five minutes, a couple of Google searches, and a session on Google Translate, a name was chosen. Etsuko Amainara. According to their research, Etsuko meant joy, joyful and child of delight, and no one stopped Russel when he wordlessly put it down on all the forms. Her last name was basically made up by 2D with the help of Google Translate is a probably badly translated version of sweetheart.
If you asked Noodle what she thought their choices, she'd say conflicted. She can't help but feel annoyed they didn't at least consult her before they chose a name that was going to be stuck to her on every document she carreid for the rest of her life. But it's not a bad name by any means. Though she does find her last name to be sweet and cringy at the same time
They hardly ever call her Estuko and she rarely uses it herself. Noodle is Noodle. No other other name suits her better. But they still use it sometimes, and they did so much more frequently when she was younger. 2D and Russel would say it with a stern tone. Their way of letting her know when they were serious. And Murdoc used it like a parent using their child's middle name. Growing up, she knew she was in trouble if she heard him yelling, ETSUKO!
One may assume (fairly because it's Murdoc) that he barely contributed to Noodle's upbringing. But in actuality, he was by far the strictest out of all her bandmates. At least in Noodle's opinion. He had a ton rules for her (and very few were rational) but the thing he was the thing he was the most controlling over was the internet. She wasn't allowed to use social media at all and chat rooms were absolutely forbidden. He wouldn't even let her use a computer unsupervised, even when she was fifteen going on sixteen. And he was hellbent on making sure Noodle didn't have a computer of her own. In fact, she once heard him saying to 2D and Russel that "if either of you get her a computer, I'm smashing it over your heads."He never gave an explanation as to why other than, "she's too young." But the truth was he was scared shitless of the internet and who could be lurking on there.
Rise of the Ogre is a tad inaccurate as well as outdeated. Russel has broken Murdoc's nose countless times before that book was written, druring, and after. Offences have included but are not limited to.
Letting Noodle get drunk.
Baking a batch of weed brownies and leaving them out for a then eleven-year-old Noodle to mistake for normal brownies and eat them.
Causing several car crashes that could have killed them all.
Hosting raves in Kong Studios and letting people trash the place.
Flirting with the bride at Russel's Uncle's wedding.
Hurting 2D (too many incidents to list)
Replacing Noodle with a robot.
Replacing him with a drum machine. But then he broke his nose an extra time for creating cyborg Noodle, for good measure.
Not telling him or 2D that Noodle was alive after the El maniana incident. This also caused 2D to snap, grab a random bit of driftwood, and beat the crap out of him with it.
Their reunion on Plastic Beach after spending years apart was UGLY. It started off wonderful. Tears and hugs and indescribable joy. Especially from 2D, when he finally knew his baby sister was alive. But then more revaluations came. Of the brusies all over 2D's body and that Murdoc had kept Noodle's survival a secret, and things went to absolute hell. For Murdoc. He ended up having to flee because everyone else wanted to kill him.
Their only regret about plastic beach being destroyed is that they didn't get to do it themselves.
After the band got separated and runited yet again and Noodle only agreed to rejoin the band on the condition they all go to therapy. Because, "Holy fuck! Every single one of you needs it."
She nearly had Russel placed on a phych ward when he started doing nothing but stare blankly at static. The only reason she didn't was because she started to see truth in the things he was seeing.
2D keeps quiet about his relationships and never tells the group if he's in one (for some reason. Not naming any names here) But if he goes quiet. Noodle imedietly notices and tries to find out why. If she finds he is seeing someone, she'll basically stalk them. Collecting information on them until she's satisfied 2D wont get hurt. She calls this "vibe checking".
Russel taught Noodle and 2D how to meditate. He learned it himself as a way to calm his mind from the things he was seeing.
After the Forever Cult incident. Noodle decided it would be best to put a tracker on 2D's phone so she'll always know where he is.
After, she also decided it would probably be best to put a tracker on all of her bandmates phones. None of them can be trusted unsupervised for very long. She hasn't told any of them about it. What they don't know can't hurt them.
A while ago, Murdoc managed to invent an elixir that keeps people from ageing and has been slipping into his bandmates' food and drink for years. He started doing this to 2D and Russel sometime around the Phase 2 era but decided to wait before starting it with Noodle, so she wouldn't be stuck living as a kid/teenager forever. And obviously, because even 2D would notice if she still looked thirteen ten years later. The whole reason for this, of course, was to keep his bandmates with him, and young and marketable forever. He hasn't gotten around to telling any of them just yet.

What are some of the cringiest things he's said
Y'know, I love Gaara so much. If he were real, I'd take a bullet for him - go to war for him, even. For him I have literally delved into the darkest depths of hyper-fixation and character worship that is definitely not normal, nor healthy.
And y'know what I discovered?
To truly appreciate a character to their very core is to look at them as a complex individual with both horrible flaws and outstanding feats.
And so I ask that you join me in absolutely lampooning Gaara for the benefit of character analysis, because although we love him dearly, he has said and done some truly cringe things that I, for one, love him for. So let's gooooo...
Cringiest things Gaara has ever said:
So before I really get into this, I gotta say that all of these things (except for one) have come from chunin Gaara. Now don't get me wrong, when I first read this series, I didn't think Gaara was cringe at all; in fact, I thought that his character "went hard" as the kids say these days (if they do say that), but as I've matured, and Gaara's character developed, I can look back at those early days and be like "oh...yikes....that was definitely a little cringe-worthy!" EVEN THOUGH when I was a teenager, I was thinking the exact opposite.
"It annoys me you'd lose control in a quarrel with children" and "You're a disgrace to our village" - Chapter 35 Okay, so this isn't really that cringe on the surface level, and it isn't cringy when Gaara is first introduced. In fact, Gaara seems kinda noble (though scary) here because he is stopping Kankuro from wailing on some kids he just met...But...In the context of who Gaara is, this is really cringy because it's so hypocritical of him, which almost makes it kinda depressing, too. It's clear that Gaara is labelling Kankuro a "disgrace to our village" even though it's Gaara who is carrying that burden because of how Suna sees him...Definitively a bit of sad projection on Gaara's part. Which, speaking about "losing control in a quarrel with children" Gaara literally becomes unhinged and blows an entire operation by "losing to a quarrel" soooooo... Also....Gaara...you're 12, and referring to children as if they aren't only like 5 years younger than you is a little funny (but kinda sweet too).
Any instance of "shut up or I'll kill you" directed at Kankuro Cringy because if you have siblings, you get it. You can say some mean things to your brothers and sisters while growing up together, especially over really dumb stuff, and then when you all mature and get older, you turn around and (hopefully) laugh about it later. Again this isn't really cringy in the moment, but definitely a little cringe when you know how the story plays out and the two brothers become BFFs. Also Gaara never acted on these threats, he was just doing it to bully Kankuro, which made a weird dynamic where Kankuro was both terrified of Gaara but also willing to still do and say stuff that always made Gaara threaten him. They're just both a bunch of squabblers, honestly.
"Bitter crimson tears flow from life-less eyes..." -Chapter 58/59 Not the whole quote, but man when I was a teenager, I though this was soo deep and cool. However, now I read that and it's just like: "awww....he wrote a...poem, I guess."
All of chapter 97 Where he's explaining to Shikamaru and Naruto a bit of his backstory while he's attempting to kill Lee at the hospital. This really isn't cringe in the generic "second hand embarrassment" way but more cringe as in wincing at something that makes you so empathetic that you have to shake it off. You can really tell in this chapter how hurt Gaara is, and how much self-hatred he holds for himself. I mean, even reading the chapter now you can tell how much in bothered him that he "took the like of a woman he would have called mother." He references it so many times and it just breaks my heart how much he loved and cared about Karura, even when he was lost. Then him talking about "needing a reason to live or he may as well be dead" just shows that he thinks of himself as a failure because he wasn't able to be the perfect military weapon for his terrible father. Just ugh...UGH! Kills me.
"To verify my existence" - Chapter 99 He says this to Baki when Baki asks him where he thinks he's going, and the statement just gives off hilarious "moody teenager" vibes.
When Gaara is spying on Sasuke during the Chunin exams (I forget what chapter) Essentially Gaara and Sasuke are having this really intense conversation about having a fight to the death over who can be the saddest person, when Kakashi is just like "wait, you're talking about some type of fight to the death???" I don't know... but Kakashi's line always cracks me up because one minute he's training Sasuke, and the next minute he's spectating two 12 year old boys swearing their life long rivalry and how much they want to kill each other, and I can just imagine Kakashi is thinking "why are all the children I know like this???".
Also, when Gaara is fighting Sasuke in the arena and he's being manipulated by Shukaku, he says some pretty cringy things, but he gets a pass cause it wasn't his fault.
Oh, and I don't think this is cringy, but Temari thought it was pretty bone-headed when Gaara asked "what are your hobbies?" to the woman he was supposed to marry in Gaara Hiden.
I didn't find that cringe, though. Just adorable.
Thanks for the question! I'm actually glad Gaara started off saying some pretty wild things, because it really show cases just how far he's come, and his growth and resilience is honestly what makes me love him so much.

They wrestled/fought for a little bit until you won.
“I let y’beat me.” Harry smirked.
“You’re just saying that. You’d never be that nice.” They were silent for a little bit. “H?”
“Yes?”
“Can i give you a hug?” You refused to make eye contact.
“Of course baby. Y’okay?” He nudged her closer to him and she got in his arms
“Yeah im good. I just love your hugs.” You smiled into his chest. cringy. i hate being single
—————————🌷🌷🌷—————————
At school you just wanted to be with Harry already. Everyday all you looked forward to is seeing him and watching his practices and going to his games.
You raised your hand to go to the bathroom.(to go on her phone and text H)
In the bathroom you pulled out your phone.
Y/n: baby i miss youuuuu
H: wanna leave during lunch?
Y/n: yessssss
You turned off your phone and went back to class.
—————————🌷🌷🌷—————————
Lunch was coming in a couple minutes. You just wanted to leave. You hated being at school with all the fake people.
“Hey.” This guy who sat next to her said.
“Oh. Hi.” You said blankly.
“Do you have the answer to number 6?” He asked
“Oh- um.. No i don’t. Whats your name? I don’t think i’ve seen you around.” You laughed nervously.
“Lucas. And yeah im new here. But… could you answer this question for me…” He wrote down on his paper real fast.
He pushed the paper in-front of you and it read, Will you go on a date with me?
“Listen— um Lucas was it?” He nodded “You’re really sweet, and i know you’re new so you don’t know but… i have a boyfriend and were pretty committed so… No.” You said nervously.
“Oh. Im sorry i didnt know.”
“its okay,” The bell rings for lunch. “Ill see you later Lucas.” You went to your locker and after you put all your stuff away, you go to find Harry, only to see him talking to a girl from your class.
You walks up to them “Hey H.” He gives you a side eye and then turns to you.
“Ill see you later.” The girl says after walking away.
“Can we talk?” Oh God.
“Y-yeah.”
“Lets go to my car.”
In Harrys car you couldn’t help but think he was gonna break up with you.
“Are y’cheating on me? If y’are just say it now.” He looks straight in-front of him.
Ok not what you thought at all.
“No? Where did that come from?” You question weirdly.
“Briana Mccormick told me some guy asked y’out on a date, and y’said yes. I don’t want to believe her but please, just tell me. I wont be mad.” He said sternly.
“Briana Mccormick has the biggest crush on you H. Of course shes gonna try and break us up. But if you must know, he did ask me out on a date but i told him i had a boyfriend. So no H. Im not cheating on you.” You said with almost a duh tone.
“Okay. I believe y’honey. Sorry ‘bout tha’.” He blushed and looked at you.
“Its okay! If you want to talk about anything, please tell me. Okay?”
“I love you baby.” He reached over and kissed you deeply. He rubs his hand up and down your thigh going dangerously close to your clothed core.
“Lets go somewhere more private.” You guys pull into an abandoned parking lot.
He reclined his seat back and moved it back.
“Cmon baby.” He patted his lap. You went and sat on his lap and kissed him more, grinding slightly.
“H… Take it off.” You moaned quietly. “Please.”
“Anything for m’pretty girl.” He slid his pants down and then his boxers. You slid your pants and underwear down.
“Who’s cunt is this?” He says playing with your hole with his fingers.
“Yours. Its all yours.” You closed your eyes.
“Damn right.” He moaned at the sight of you.
He pulled his fingers out and licked his fingers clean. He pushed his cock inside of you slowly.
“Faster please.” You rode him a little bit.
He went faster and faster.
“Fuck honey, m’gonna cum. Y’cunt feel s’nice.” He moaned
“M-me too.” She moaned as she came. He came right after.
“One day m’gonna breed that fuckin’ cunt.” He bit his lip and kissed her. bc

ugh i hate anti-cringe culture and how people irl will take it as a way to protect themselves cos they of course could never join with those creepy cringe weirdos that are soo cringe and then at the same time wag pride flags around and say everything that they do is because of their adhd.
Like. Most of the people you are calling cringe for liking the cringy stuff are neurodivergent and queer. Some of the oldest fandoms were carried on by queer people. "Oh they are so weird for this thing so much and not stop" Oh you say hyperfixation, the thing you only bring up when its useful to you?
One of these days i was drawing a character from a fandom. Not sexualized, just standing there, LITERALLY. Someone HAD to come out of their way and tell me how all the fans of this fandom are creepy weirdos that draw that character in weird ways and they are so weird. He knows that because he has friends that do that and they draw that character every day "so trust me i know them" and when i said why tf they were saying that to me when i literally just drew that character and they said "well uh you uhh you dont draw them every day so you must be normal" you have never seem my dozens and dozens of papers at home with that character drawn over and over again. And I wont tell you that because you just called me a creepy weirdo. 1 year ago I was still a minor and if this exact conversation happened back them you would be calling a minor a perverted creep. Jesus christ.
This person just thinks Im not actually inside the fandom and "must be normal" because i dont look like the creepy weirdo people think creeps look like.
It only gets worst because this character is a minor. They are from a series targeted at kids and major part of the fandom is composed by minors.
They just called literal children creeps. And everyone else in it too, which is not a small fandom AT ALL. Its among the biggest ones that I have ever been in. "Trust me I know them" WTF YOU DONT KNOW THEM AT ALL??? "Oh i can read and speak english so I know all english speakers in the world because I have 4 friends that speak english and i play games with sometimes"
"Oh maybe the problem is not with my friends drawing naked minors in degrading ways and feeling free to send that shit to me, the problem must be with this kids series! yeah!Everyone in it must be just like them!"
the only saving grace is that when they said "Oh there is no way you never saw this character in lingerie without looking it up " (yes. THE MINOR.) and I said wtf of course not and they insisted oh there is no way, went to ask other people and they said they never saw it too. But it was too late, the stuff they said got out of context across the entire room and now people think whoever draws too much of this thing must be a creep. Ah, great.

Thoughts on Will? I know you talked about him plenty already but I would love to hear some unpopular opinions/headcanons/thoughts you haven't gotten to talk about in general
this man literally altered my brain chemistry and I'm 100% sure that if I had never read RA I would be a whole different person. Cracking open those books at the age of 9 unleashed all that pent-up autism and I was so so unhinged about him and that entire series. I wanted to be him so badly and gods I tried to be, took up archery, my parents gave me knives and I shamelessly walked around with that ranger cloak my mum sewed (fun fact on Helloween I always go as a ranger because its the only costume I own). Yes, I was the Weird Kid, but my love for that man gave me the confidence to be obsessively weird about anything I liked. And I'm so happy about that because otherwise, I think I would be so hobbyless and afraid to be cringy about anything. In other words, I love him.
I made my trans!will headcanon clear a bunch of times already so we're going to dive into my headcanon for that headcanon.
I like to think that as time passed and will got more comfortable in his identity that he stopped cutting his hair short. He cut his hair short because it made him feel more connected with his masculinity and it felt like something he needed to do because it was something a lot of men did. So when he started growing it out he was finally at that point that he realized that he doesn't need to go out of his way to change things he liked just because other men were doing it (HE LOVED HIS LONG HAIR!!!). In my heart, his hair got almost as long as Alyss's and he cut it off after she died because she often brushed, braided or tied it back for him and having to do it himself was too painful. Will rocked an almost bald head for a while before he started growing his hair out again, but he never let it get too long.
When john said will is short he meant it. That man is not taller than 165m (5'4) and it's a fact because I said so.
One of the headcanons I live most fiercely by is that will was a fucking mean asshole in the TRR. I know it's a children's book and all but I feel so robbed of will being mean. I've 3 wips set in TRR (ish) and I love making him say stuff that would have you laying awake at night staring at the ceiling if someone said that to you. Why isn't he so tired of being nice, why doesn't he want to go apeshit???
for unpopular opinions...this might get my homo card revoked, but I actually don't like hill. *sirens go off, bombs fall on my house, my family is dead*. The concept is nice but I'm just way to obsessed with willys to see him with anyone else. I do like myself some hill content but I'm happy john doesn't do gay people because I don't think it would've worked in canon.

So...there is this UNDERTALE story idea I have here...
Yes. You heard right. UNDERTALE.
----------------------
Okay.
I actually never thought I would have the chance to share this to...virtually anyone.
And by "never", I really mean it.
When I came up with this idea, I had prepared to die without anyone else knowing this madness I have in my head (to be honest I still have a lot of crazy stuff in my mind that I am not sure if I will ever share with anyone).
But...uh...now that I am (technically) involved in fandoms, and have already spread my cringe, even in completed story forms, I think...maybe I will share this one as well...
(Sequence of discussion: Creation Background → Story Settings → Plot → Explanation)
[Also spoilers for Undertale, if you haven't played/watched the game yet. Like, total spoilers.]
----------------------
Background
Back in 2015/2016, I was a...rather big Undertale fanboi.
Also I was a kid. Put two and two together you get a really cringy fanboi kid.
To be honest, Undertale really had taken my heart for a while. I remember I started playing the game in autumn 2015, and I was quite literally captivated by it. I actually played the demo first in October, and then later went on to play the full game in November.
I can't pinpoint what attracted me the most, or what attracted me at all. I still can't. Perhaps it was the music? I bought the soundtrack as well, and I think the songs are something I still love to this day.
But without a doubt, Undertale had truly given me many happy memories, especially that winter.
I first beat the pacifist neutral ending (which is my favourite), and then the true pacifist ending (pacifist neutral is a prerequisite for the true ending for a first playthrough anyway, iirc).
I specifically remember that I beat the true pacifist ending on 24 Jan 2016 (Sun). I specifically remember that because that day was also an exceptionally cold day for my old home (around 3°C, which is very uncommon for there).
I would say Undertale made that day extra special for me.
Tumblr media
("Screenshot" I took of the true pacifist ending, on my old laptop. [24 Jan 2016])
I left the game alone for some time, before deciding to try the genocide ending in February. And no, it was nothing personal.
It was just a usual routine of me when playing RPGs: I try to see all the endings that the game provides, whether they be good ones or bad ones. I want to see them all. I want to see all the content the game has.
And...knowing how bad I am with video games...I got stuck at Sans.
Tumblr media
And I have never touched the game since then. (also don't ask me what "aslan" means I am too embarrassed to explain)
Seriously, it wasn't even rage quit. Sans is literally impossible for my pathetic gaming skill. I am still surprised I somehow cleared Undyne.
I did, however, watch the rest of the genocide route past Sans.
...and I am glad I gave up.
Now, I am not here to give a review of Undertale. Long story short of my feelings towards Undertale: Subjectively, it did give me wonderful memories, and become a significant symbol of a period in my life; Objectively, it's okay.
Even after putting the game away (to this day), I did think a lot about Undertale for the first quarter of 2016 (before something else occupied my mind for an even longer period of time, and affected me much deeper). Now that I think about it, Undertale might be my very first fandom.
And being young and new to fandoms...I did some stuff that I didn't even know were "fandom stuff" (relax those were all normal stuff): Fan art browsing, fan fic reading, comic dub watching, fan animation viewing (Seriously, some Undertale animations were SICK)...
Back then, I didn't think of producing something (i.e. writing a story) for a fandom. Probably because I didn't have time/talent/determination, or simply because my interests shifted too fast (my interests started to become stable only since Disney Ducks).
One thing edgy, cringy young me did sort of "produce", was a story idea.
And before you ask, no. I am never putting it on paper. Because of multiple reasons, and it being too edgy is not one of them actually (otherwise I wouldn't be sharing it).
First and most importantly, I am no longer in the Undertale fandom. I know what it is, but I am no longer interested to the point of producing something for it.
Secondly...well, you see...The reason why I say "story" idea instead of "fic" idea is because...it isn't a fic idea actually.
When I daydreamed about the idea, I actually imagined it being played out like an anime (told you I was cringy). Technically I could write the idea out in a story format, but it would be very hard to convey the plot and the message. And no way am I ever animating/drawing it out.
But I actually like the idea, so that's why I am writing this down in a descriptive format.
To be honest, I don't know how young me thought of such a "woke" message for a story. I am not sure if there was any "post-production" tinkering to the idea, because it seems too advanced for kid me. At least, the story plot is (mostly) unchanged, that's for sure (because I really had written it down in 2016, albeit a very simple version).
What struck me the most about Undertale was the concept of "morality" (again, I have quite something to talk about this one, but this is not a review).
One thing I noticed was the hypersensitivity of morality when it comes to you, and you only.
That monsters can kill you infinite amount of time without any guilt, but you immediately become a total trash person for killing just one monster. Gameplay wise, you are immediately locked out of the true, "good" ending of the game if you dare kill one soul. In the neutral "phone call" endings, characters literally feel betrayed/heartbroken/furious when you kill just one random monster, and even more so if it is a named NPC.
But no one mentions the fact that it is the monsters who initiate aggression, and attempt murder.
It is as if the concept of "self-defence" is unheard of to monsters.
Or, it is unheard of to monsters only when it is applied to you. Monsters can self-defend alright.
As a player sitting in front of a computer, it is easy to just "spare" everyone, as the game is "intended" to be played. Sparing or attacking is literally just a difference of a button. It isn't a hard decision at all, even sparing monsters.
But think about Frisk: A literal child. Alone. Stranded in an unfamiliar, dangerous territory. Lost in hostile terrains. Surrounded by actual, literal monsters who want to literally kill you and take your soul. Also their ultimate goal being invading your homeland.
Even the seemingly "most friendly" monster is a skeleton boi who literally proclaims he is going to send you to the guillotine just so he can get a promotion.
How would Frisk feel? What would he do? I have heard about "fight or flight", but "spare"? Would "spare" even be an option to him? Could he even comprehend "spare" in his situation?
And somehow, the burden of morality has fallen on the shoulders of this distraught, desperate child.
Notice how it is always Frisk sparing monsters, but never monsters sparing Frisk? Think about how bizarre that sounds: A child sparing a monster? A prey sparing a predator?
Killing with kindness is good, but sometimes it is too good to be true.
Especially, when there are people who don't understand you, who don't want to understand you...or who want to take advantage of your kindness.
----------------------
[Okay. Now we get to the actual story components. Just a heads-up: In general, the story is dark, violent, somewhat depressing, very edgy. And I am also going to make some characters you love look bad. Like, real bad.
Also certain characterisations/plot points may be altered for the sake of storytelling and message delivery. And it has been 8 years. Please don't challenge me on lore-friendliness orz]
Settings
These are the story settings I have as background/world-building. Kind of like a "list of headcanons used".
→ The story is essentially a retelling, alternative universe of the genocide route.
→ Frisk enters the monster world by accident.
→ Frisk actually has very powerful supernatural abilities. His weapon is a wooden stick (the default weapon in-game). I imagine his main ability taking form as psychokinesis (after a character I am also too embarrassed to explain), the magnitude of which is much more powerful than Sans'.
→ Another ability of Frisk is his "Determination", which allows him to revive infinitely as long as he is determined. Therefore, he essentially can't die how many times he is killed, as he will be resurrected in a nearby place afterwards (a reference to "reloading" after a game over). This "Determination" ability is also what prevents Frisk's soul from being taken when he dies. Frisk does, however, retain memories of his "past lives", and can feel pain. This "samsara" can also end if Frisk is no longer determined. When that happens, Frisk's soul can be taken, and he will truly die. What Frisk is determined about in this story is leaving the Underground alive. (When Chara is in control, what he is determined about is protecting Frisk.)
→ Since an early point in the story, Chara appears alongside Frisk. Chara is (sort of) a ghost, and shares Frisk's body with Frisk. Chara's weapon is a knife. He is very skilled in physical combat, and does most of the fighting in the story. However, when compared to Frisk's power, Chara definitely cannot compete.
→ Some rules apply in this "shared body" situation:
☆ Only one person can control the body at one time. "Wrestling" for control will lead to the stronger one gaining control.
☆ When the person is in control, the body will shift to that person's appearance. Since Frisk and Chara look very similar, the main difference is the shirt colour. The weapon will also shift to the corresponding one (stick for Frisk, knife for Chara).
☆ Only the person in control can actively control the body's physical movements. In return, only the person in control will feel pain inflicted to the body.
☆ Abilities are also exclusive to the person. It means that even when Chara is in control of the body, he cannot use Frisk's psychokinesis ability.
☆ The only shared ability is the "Determination" reviving ability. It means that no matter who is in control of the body when it dies, the body (and Frisk and Chara) will always be revived.
☆ The person not in control cannot influence the body's actions (unless he is strong enough to overcome and gain control of the body), but he can still see and hear what is going on.
→ Frisk here cannot reset the timeline whenever he likes (otherwise he would do that in a heartbeat), because his soul is not powerful enough. Only a strong enough soul, possible only by absorbing other souls, can reset the timeline.
----------------------
Plot
(This is the "raw" plot of the story. Explanations and themes are in the next section. Some plot points/details may seem weird, but they will be explained in the next section.)
Frisk, a child, falls into the Underground (monster world) accidentally.
Alone, hurt, cold and scared, Frisk wanders around the entrance of the Underground, trying to escape via where he came from, without success (the "boundary" between the human and monster worlds exists in both the entrance and exit. Not even Frisk can break through with his powers).
Frisk cowers in fear and despair on a flower bed, crying alone until a sentient flower suddenly emerges. Flowey introduces himself with that fake friendliness, to which the desperate Frisk really believes. Shortly afterwards, however, Flowey breaks that trust and attacks Frisk, who then runs away even more terrified, while Flowey laughs and states that he will continue watching Frisk from the sides.
This time, Frisk does not meet Toriel immediately. In fact, Frisk does not meet Toriel until after a long time in the Ruins. During that time, Frisk wanders around the Ruins aimlessly, still searching for a way out.
Shortly after running into the Ruins, Frisk has his first monster encounter. Monsters here literally want to hunt down Frisk and take his soul. Frisk tries asking for help, or "talking it out", but monsters either are too mindless to understand, or simply don't care. Although Frisk is powerful (he knows he is powerful too), the gentle human child does not want to hurt anyone. The only option he has is to keep running away from monsters.
However, trapped in a monster-ridden dungeon, there is really no place to run. Frisk is soon cornered, injured...and when the damages accumulate to maximum, his body succumbs, and Frisk dies for the first time.
Frisk is surprised to find himself awaken in another part of the Ruins, as if nothing has happened. The damages are all healed, his clothes and stick are still there with him. It is as if Frisk has had a dream.
However, as the process inevitably repeats, Frisk dies again, and again...He soon realises it is not a dream. He really died, and somehow lives again.
Trapped in this endless loop, Frisk starts to lose hope, but he never loses his kindness. He will still run away from monsters; and, when he can't, he will just let himself get killed and revive later.
He doesn't need food or water to live too. Even when the monsters don't get him soon enough, so that the hunger and thirst kill him first, Frisk will just revive feeling okay. The pain of getting attacked or starving is still there, and it hurts like hell, but Frisk is starting to get used to it. After all, there doesn't seem to be a way out.
Until after who knows how long, a once again dying Frisk is found by Toriel in the Ruins. Toriel expresses pity, and brings Frisk to her home. For the first time since falling into the Underground, Frisk experiences love and kindness, and breaks down in front of Toriel. Toriel promises to take care of Frisk as if he was her actual child.
Frisk is finally happy and safe after uncountable time of torment. These happy days go on for some time, with Toriel really fulfilling her promise. She really takes good care of Frisk, provides a home for him, and protects him from danger.
However, at some point, Frisk asks Toriel about how he can leave the Underground and go back to the human world. At first, Toriel feigns ignorance, brushes it off, or otherwise ignores his questions. When Frisk keeps pressing the issue, Toriel angrily warns that he is not going anywhere, before quickly reverting to her "gentle" demeanour, saying something like "mother knows best" and "there are dangers outside, I am just trying to keep you safe".
After that exchange, Frisk decides not to bring up that topic, but instead secretly searches for a way out. He thinks Toriel is nice, and the home is safe, but he really wants to go back to his own world. He couldn't possibly stay in the Ruins forever, could he?
Eventually, Frisk discovers the exit of the Ruins, located in the basement of Toriel's home. Toriel finds out, and, expectedly, is furious. She reiterates that she just wants the best for Frisk, really treats Frisk like her own son, etc.
Frisk thanks Toriel for her kindness. He really means it, for Toriel is the first person to show him compassion since he was stranded in the Underground. However, Frisk, although scared and somewhat guilty, insists that he wants to leave and go back to his actual home.
Toriel isn't having any of that. Seeing that the easy way isn't working, she forces Frisk to fight her, as Frisk "needs to prove that he is strong enough to survive on his own". Of course Frisk is unwilling, but Toriel still insists.
This conflict is locked in a stalemate for some time: With Toriel pretending to attack Frisk, actually attacking and hurting Frisk, and then crying and showing guilt and the "look what you've made me done" expression. Frisk, on the other hand, is 200% unwilling to hurt Toriel, and only keeps dodging or withstanding.
At the end, Frisk starts to really believe Toriel is thinking for his good. Combined with the fear of the outside world, and the despair that he may actually never go home, Frisk is about to give in.
When suddenly, Frisk feels that he has blacked out and lost control of his body. When Frisk comes back to his senses, he finds out his wooden stick is now somehow a knife, and is stabbed into Toriel.
Frisk cries, and tries to remove the knife. However, he finds out that his voice isn't going out, and he can't move his body. The knife is only plunged deeper, as Frisk can't do anything but watches in confusion and fear.
Toriel is visibly shocked, and even more shocked when she looks at "Frisk's" face, as if she recognises him but as another person.
At her last moment, Toriel still says that she just wants to keep "you" safe, and "mother knows best". She wishes "you" all the best, before saying goodbye to "you, Chara".
When Frisk finally regains control, Toriel is dead on the ground (and fading, because monster). The knife has returned to a wooden stick, but it is bloodstained.
Before Frisk can comprehend what is going on or even break down, he hears another person calling his name. It is a boy's voice, but when he looks around, there is no one there. Frisk hears it again, and he starts to "see" the person.
The boy introduces himself as Chara, a child looking just like Frisk, but with a different shirt pattern and a knife in his hand. Chara looks transparent, and Frisk can't really "touch" him. Chara explains that he is a human child spirit roaming the Underground. He is the person who took control of Frisk's body, and killed Toriel "for him".
When confronted by a devastated Frisk, Chara calmly states he is trying to save him. Frisk scolds Chara for killing Toriel when "she just wants to protect me", to which Chara rebuts, saying "I am the one who wants to protect you". He wants to say something about Toriel, but seeing Frisk's heartbroken expression, he decides not to. Instead, Chara asks rhetorically if Frisk wants to stay in the Underground forever. Frisk pauses, as he wonders if there really is no way of escaping without killing Toriel. Chara states that he has seen several human children meeting their ends in different parts of the Underground, and Toriel is just one of the obstacles. This time, however, Chara is strong enough to intervene and saves Frisk.
Chara then promises he will protect Frisk from now on, before leaving the Ruins together with him. Seeing Frisk still grieving and distraught, Chara vows to himself that he won't let anything or anyone hurt Frisk anymore, physically and mentally. He will do anything to protect Frisk's innocence, even if it means doing all the dirty works himself.
The following story is as linear as it gets (or I haven't thought it through). Chara leads Frisk to navigate to the Underground exit, in the same route as it is in-game.
When there are monsters in their way, Chara will take over and exterminate the threats for Frisk, so that Frisk won't get his hands dirty or get hurt. At first, Frisk still tries to talk it out and/or run away, and Chara lets him try that. But when communication isn't an option and/or there is no place to run, Frisk will despair, allowing Chara to take over and fight their way out. Eventually, Frisk loses hope in doing things the pacifist way, letting Chara engage in combat when there are monsters picking a fight. However, unlike the in-game genocide route, they don't actively seek out monsters to kill (because they have no reason to. No one has a reason to, to be honest).
Outside of combat, Frisk is mostly in control, and the two boys can communicate with each other. Over time, Chara explains to Frisk most of the background/settings of the story (e.g. what are discussed in the previous section), such as how his "Determination" ability works, the monsters' plan to get to the human world, Chara's own backstory (which is the same as it is in-game. Chara has been wandering the Underground since his (and Asriel's) death), etc.
The named characters they meet are mostly the same. In this story, I only highlight some characters of interest. Mini bosses (e.g. Muffet), side characters (e.g. Monster Kid), and a few "bosses" (e.g. Mettaton, Alphys) are omitted.
Below I will list only those characters of interest, and Frisk/Chara's encounter with them. The significance of each of these characters will be discussed in the next section.
Papyrus and (technically) Sans are the first characters Frisk meets.
Sans is very elusive at this point, almost like a background character. He only observes Frisk from behind Papyrus, but the story makes it obvious that Sans is not a simple person, and is very interested in Frisk (but not Chara). It is also implied that Sans knows there are two people in Frisk's body, as well as Frisk's hidden abilities, showing Sans' extraordinary perception and potential powers.
(It's very hard to describe these "animation effects" in words. In short is that Sans does nothing apparently, but is heavily hinted to be important/powerful later on. Also his interest in Frisk (and Frisk alone) is shown, and is a significant plot point. You will see why later on.)
Papyrus does what he does in-game, trying to "arrest" Frisk as part of his "duty" as a royal guard. At first, when they are still in the snowy wilderness, Frisk tries to ignore him (and Sans), as Papyrus isn't really much of a threat (and is doing a very bad job at "stopping" Frisk). This frustrates Papyrus (in a comical way. Papyrus is the only comical/lighthearted character here).
These "Papyrus encounters" repeat for a few times. Chara refrains from attacking immediately, as Papyrus is annoying but pretty harmless. Especially when Sans is also present, as Chara senses that Sans is not as simple as he seems. Chara just (tells Frisk to) ignores Papyrus' traps and stuff, and eventually arrives at Snowdin Town.
It is at there when Papyrus shows up alone, and really tries to stop Frisk. Papyrus is convinced that Frisk is an evil/dangerous individual, even though his only evidence are the words of Undyne and general propaganda on humans. He "ensures" that Undyne is a friendly person, and all they are going to do with Frisk is to send him back to his own world. Chara tells Frisk that both of which are false: Undyne will kill him without question and harvest his soul for Asgore (but Papyrus really believes what he is saying). Papyrus rambles on about how being a royal guard means "fighting injustice" and "helping the weak", further showing his ignorance.
Still refraining from attacking, Chara allows Frisk to try to talk it out (because even Chara hesitates on outright killing Papyrus). Frisk takes over, and explains to Papyrus his situation. Papyrus, of course, doesn't believe Frisk at first. However, this rejection once again triggers Frisk's hopelessness, leading him to cry.
Seeing Frisk's pitiful expression, Papyrus softens. He comes over to comfort Frisk, and listens to his pleads once more. After Frisk settles down, Papyrus decides to believe in what Frisk says (showing how gullible he is, although Frisk is telling the truth). Papyrus then begins to lead Frisk to the Waterfall.
When Frisk (and Chara) thinks he can finally settle a conflict in peace for once, Papyrus says that he will bring Frisk to Undyne to ask for help (because she is his "superior"), and that "Undyne will definitely understand". Papyrus keeps reassuring Frisk that there is nothing to worry about, and how things will go smoothly for Frisk (in an unrealistic way, such as allowing Frisk to cross the barrier when it is technically impossible to do so).
Frisk stops in his tracks, realising Papyrus still doesn't understand the whole situation, and is leading him to his death (albeit unknowingly). In fact, Papyrus will never understand. Frisk's willpower plunges, as despair fills his heart once more. Subconsciously, Frisk allows Chara to take control. Chara, knowing that Papyrus will never change his mind and never let Frisk go (also evidenced from Chara's previous witnesses of Papyrus' encounters with other human children), makes a hard decision.
In a swift attack, Chara swings his knife at Papyrus.
The next boss they encounter is Undyne, at the end of the Waterfall. Undyne is, as Chara described, hellbent on destroying Frisk at all cost. This is partly due to Undyne knowing Frisk (Chara) has killed monsters before (without knowing the context, nor does she want to know the context), partly due to wanting Frisk's soul for Asgore's plan, and partly due her ultimate (blind) hatred for human beings.
Frisk doesn't even have the chance to explain this time (nor does he want to, at this point). Frisk quickly lets Chara take control and fight Undyne.
Undyne's battle is the first tough one they encounter (reference to the in-game boss fight). Chara has a hard time facing Undyne, especially after she has "powered up". He even dies (and revives) a few times, but he insists on being in control and doing the fighting himself.
Undyne notices Frisk (Chara) reviving as well. Although taken aback at first, she quickly remembers that previous human children had displayed this "Determination" ability before. She then states that she just has to fight harder, and strike Frisk down how many times it is required to completely kill him.
Undyne's insults towards Frisk anger Chara. He stands up for Frisk, saying that he is just a lost child wanting to go home. He has explained and sought help numerous times, but the monsters just won't listen to him. Instead, they treat him like nothing, or worse than nothing. They keep ignoring, attacking and taking advantage of him. Now pushed against a corner, Frisk is only attacking in self-defence. He just wants to survive and see the light of day again, and somehow this makes him the villain? What is so wrong about it?
Undyne actually didn't know that Frisk is in the Underground because he got lost, or that Frisk is attacking monsters because monsters attack him first. Actually, she didn't know anything about Frisk in the first place (not that she wanted to know anyway).
After hearing Chara's plead, however, Undyne immediately hits him with an "USODA!!!" (LIES!!!). Undyne cannot and does not want to believe that Frisk is innocent. That Frisk is actually the victim. That Frisk is not killing monsters because he is sadistic. That Frisk is not the absolute piece of trash she thinks he is. She is fixated on believing Frisk is completely the guilty one, and that she is the "justice one" ridding the world of a total garbage human being.
Undyne's words set Chara berserk. He attacks with even greater power, fighting in revenge of Frisk for the pain he has endured. The monsters' hypocrisy pisses Chara off, and he is done letting yet another human child fall victim to those lies and manipulations.
Chara finally fights neck-to-neck with Undyne. At the end, Chara defeats Undyne, but she stabs herself with her spear before she can be killed by "a filthy human". Chara stabs his knife into her fading ashes, crying out in a fit of rage. Frisk only silently watches and listens as Chara lets his anger out on his surroundings.
Past the Hotland and the Core, Chara and Frisk arrive at the "Last Corridor" to meet their final enemy: Sans.
Sans has been awaiting Frisk, but frowns when he sees Chara instead. At first, Sans still puts up his facade. He proceeds normally, same as what he does in-game, judging Frisk/Chara's actions and such. He comments that somehow what has happened to Frisk throughout the Underground - taking many monsters', Toriel's, Undyne's and even his brother Papyrus' lives - is still "not enough". (Also showing that Sans doesn't care about monster casualties)
Chara throws his knife at Sans in rage, telling Sans to cut the crap. He tells Sans to give up, and that he "will never let Frisk out". He "will not let Frisk get hurt by trash like you". Sans will be fighting Chara, and Chara alone.
Doubting and amused, Sans accepts Chara's duel. However, soon it is very obvious that Chara is no match for Sans. Sans easily overpowers Chara, killing him over and over again. Chara's determination to protect Frisk and not let him get hurt allows Chara to revive after each death, but the pain and exhaustion still get to him. At some point, Sans even purposely hurts Chara as much as possible before killing him off, just for Frisk to see, because "I know you are there, watching your friend Chara taking all the suffering for you".
During the fight, Sans reveals (to Frisk) that he actually knows everything from the start: The reason why Frisk came to the Underground. The fact that Frisk is just an innocent lost child. The fact that Frisk is desperately asking for help. The fact that Frisk actually does nothing wrong.
And most importantly: Sans reveals that he knows about Frisk's hidden power.
At this point, Chara, knowing what Sans is trying to do, fights with all his might to stop Sans, but he is still no match.
Sans taunts Frisk, that if he doesn't want Chara to keep suffering because of him, he just has to "come out and play for a little while". Chara becomes desperate upon hearing Sans' "invitation", causing his attacks to miss a lot more, and himself to get hurt even more. He yells that he will not let Frisk fight Sans, but Chara's willpower has faded a lot along with his physical strength. Chara still tries to get up and continue the battle, supported only by his resolution, but at this point he isn't in any condition to fight any longer.
Annoyed by Chara's "stubbornness", Sans cripples and trips Chara, such that he cannot stand up anymore. Still, Chara uses his remaining energy to keep his consciousness from fading, and tells Sans to kill him without ever seeing Frisk. That "even if I cannot protect Frisk's life, I will at least protect his innocence".
All the while, Frisk has been watching everything. His heart aches every time Chara gets hurt and killed because of him, and he is terribly upset to hear that Sans actually knows everything but does nothing. Still, he obeys Chara's request to "never come out", despite how painful it makes him feel to see Chara doing everything to protect him. Frisk only sits in the void, hugging his legs as everything unfolds in front of him.
Seeing as Frisk isn't coming out no matter what, Sans takes his last resort.
He spares Frisk.
Sans says that he surrenders. Everything he has been doing is only to test Frisk's determination. Now that Frisk has "passed", Sans has no reason to continue fighting.
He even says he is "sorry" for everything Frisk has had to gone through. He understands Frisk's pain, sorrow and despair, and he knows a way to undo everything Frisk has experienced, and give him the happy ending he deserves.
Knowing very well it is a trap, Chara cries for Frisk not to fall for it. However, Chara can no longer retain control.
In the body, Frisk looks up at Sans' offer with teary eyes. A monster sparing him is something Frisk has been dying for since he has fallen into the Underground. No one ever spared Frisk, no matter how much he cried and begged. He just wants someone to truly understand and empathise with him. Hearing a monster sparing him makes him drop his guard immediately. At this point, Frisk's heart is too broken and damaged to think rationally or have any sense of deception.
At Sans' words, Frisk finally takes control of the body. He slowly walks towards Sans, who is welcoming Frisk with open arms. Teardrops keep falling, as Frisk recounts all the ridicules and hostilities he has encountered. Now, he will finally be spared and saved. He can finally return to being the innocent, helpless child that he is.
Frisk rushes to Sans in an embrace, crying over Sans' shoulders, completely defenceless. Frisk cries that he never wished for any of this, and he only wants to go home. He is just a scared child, after all. Sans does "comfort" Frisk for a while, stroking his head and patting his back.
Before...
"geeettttttt dunked on!!!"
Sans attacks Frisk in point-blank range, killing him instantly.
But he makes sure Frisk knows damn well what he has done. That Frisk will remember what he has done.
Sans gained his trust and betrayed him. Then made a joke about it.
Gained his trust and betrayed him.
Betrayed.
And this completely breaks Frisk.
To Chara's fear, as this is what he has been trying to prevent.
To Sans' entertainment, as this is what he has been trying to achieve.
"Liar..."
When the boy revives, it is finally Frisk that appears. Sans laughs in excitement, as the boy's hand is now holding a wooden stick, and his entire figure enveloping in a different, much more powerful kind of magic.
Then immediately, Frisk overpowers Sans (much to Sans' own surprise). In an instant, the battle turns entirely. None of Sans' seemingly devastating abilities proves effective to counter Frisk's overwhelming magic. Frisk awakens his long hidden ability to maximum, holding nothing back as he silently but brutally attacks, throwing Sans around and throwing things towards Sans with his psychokinesis power (like what Sans did to Chara).
(I imagine it to be Frisk directing his psychokinesis vector with his stick, same as how Sans throws Chara/the player in-game around with his hands.)
The attack begins and ends as quickly as a storm. By the end of Frisk's assault, the entire corridor has been completely destroyed, and Sans is completely incapacitated. Chara watches in shock, as he witnesses what Frisk is capable of, and what he doesn't want to witness in the first place.
Sans is just as shocked and puzzled. Now heavily wounded, Sans lies against the crumbled wall of the corridor, unable to move. He looks up at Frisk standing at where he revived, hasn't moved a step.
Then, Frisk slowly walks towards Sans. His steps are unsteady. His eyes are unfocused. He says nothing and makes no sound, but anger as deep as the sea can undoubtedly be felt.
Realising Frisk is going to finish Sans off, Chara shouts for him to stop, and leave the killing to him. Chara has been preventing Frisk from hurting anyone (and getting hurt by anyone) at all cost, because he knows that once Frisk kills someone, it will be the final nail to the coffin. His innocence will forever be tarnished. That's why Chara has been doing all the killings for Frisk.
However, Frisk has already been broken. Seeing as Frisk is no longer listening to him, Chara resorts to taking the control by force. But with his injuries and Frisk's now super-determined (and violent) willpower, Chara only succeeds for a second before losing the control. Chara tries again desperately, only to win and lose repeatedly.
(I imagine this process to be one "switch" per step. That is: They take one step → Switches to Chara → They take one step → Switches to Frisk → [Repeats])
The last step is Chara, and he immediately swings his knife in an attempt to finish off Sans for Frisk. However, Sans dodges that attack with the last of his strength. When Chara desperately prepares for another swing, the knife has become a stick again. Frisk has regained control.
With a violent slash, Frisk kills off Sans.
And Chara knows Frisk will no longer be the same.
In a mindless rage, Frisk stabs, punches, tramples, kicks the fading remains of Sans. Until there is nothing left of him.
Then, Frisk slowly walks out of the ruined corridor, continuing towards the exit of the Underground.
Since then, Frisk is always in control. Chara loses all influence on the body (except talking to Frisk, but Chara is also completely hopeless and distraught now).
Frisk has completely changed. He talks no more, cries no more, and holds back no more. All monsters (if still any) in his path are violently slaughtered without a word.
The first monster Frisk still encounters is the ecstatic Flowey. Flowey has been watching Frisk all along, including his previous fight with Sans. He "congratulates" Frisk on finally becoming the violent killer that he always is, "providing him (Flowey) with a good show".
Flowey then tells Frisk that he can do an "encore": Frisk can take the human souls that Asgore has collected. With that power, Frisk can reset the timeline and do it all over again, while Flowey will be watching once more. Flowey also wonders if Sans has told Frisk about the ability to reset timeline, as he learned it from Sans as well.
Before Flowey can talk any further, however, Frisk approaches him, much to Flowey's confusion and uneasiness. Flowey didn't do anything to Frisk, did he? All he did was watching. There's no reason Frisk would despise him, right?
Those are Flowey's last thoughts, before Frisk violently kills Flowey.
The next and last monster Frisk faces off is Asgore. Well, not really "faces off", because Frisk just one shots your personal favourite goat dad. Frisk won't listen to or believe in any monster anymore.
With Asgore dead, Frisk takes the human souls, and uses their power to break through the barrier.
Frisk escapes.
He returns home to his very surprised parents, who thought he was dead after missing for who knows how long. After a very emotional reunion (to his parents at least, because Frisk no longer feels anything, but his parents are too happy to notice that their son is already broken), life starts to return to "normal".
Frisk is finally back to being a child, but he is no longer an innocent one.
How many days have passed since he left the Underground cannot heal the wounds Frisk has suffered. That traumatic experience has completely changed him. He smiles no more, trusts no more. It is the worst outcome, the outcome Chara had tried his best and failed to prevent.
After many seasons have passed, and Frisk is still the same emotionless being, Chara speaks to him in his room one night, as one last effort to try to fix everything.
He asks Frisk to consider resetting the timeline.
Now that he has the power of all the human souls, Frisk has the ability to reset the universe as Flowey stated. With this reset, Frisk can do everything all over again, and make everything "right" this time.
Chara tells Frisk of what could happen in this timeline, which is what would happen in an in-game pacifist run. Chara shows Frisk the happy ending that he, and all the monsters who could be his friends (for real this time), could achieve. That this time, everything will be what Frisk had wanted.
The "screen/animation" then visualises scenes of the pacifist run, such as the end credit scenes of the pacifist ending. In those scenes, everyone is genuinely nice to Frisk. Everyone understands him, helps him and treats him with kindness. Together, Frisk and the monsters escape the Underground, into the human world where everyone miraculously accepts the monsters immediately. In the end, everyone, monsters and humans, live together in harmony, just as what Frisk had wished for. A happily ever after straight out of a fairy tale story, except that it could be reality. If Frisk would just press the reset button...
To which Frisk smiles, and replies:
"No way."
The scene cuts to black, and the story ends.
----------------------
Okay.
So, WTF does all the insanity above mean?
Again, I have to reiterate that I am really not sure if I thought of the following message at the same time I thought of the plot, or after I had thought of the plot.
Because I really cannot imagine ~12 y/o me thinking of such an edgy message that makes sense. Young me had so many edgy ideas that made no sense, but this one somehow made sense. And deep sense. At least, enough sense for me to write it down in words logically. Therefore, I suspect I might have thought of an explanation "post-production". That is, after I have...you know, grown up a bit and be less cringy.
But either way, this is the message of the story.
Explanation
Apathy induces apathy.
This is the message of the story.
Just like how empathy induces empathy, apathy can also induce apathy. It's the same teaching that "life changes life", but for the worse.
Frisk is originally a very empathetic person. At the end of the story, his empathy has completely been replaced with apathy, apathy even stronger than the monsters'. The most pure person is the one who can become the most broken.
(One character that this weeb author has taken inspiration from is Gon Freecss)
Apathy is the main theme of the story. Many of the monsters' actions are driven by apathy, or, to put it more simply, "don't care".
Frisk could have got the help he needed if someone would have just lent him a hand. The "pacifist ending" vision at the end of the story represents what could have happened if the monsters had done something. Chara is not trying to give Frisk the choice to do over, because there's nothing more Frisk could have done. Chara wants to bet another chance that the monsters would do the right thing in the new timeline, and give Frisk (and the monsters, as a side effect) the happy ending he deserves.
Think about it: If you kept on sparing monsters (first of all, why are you sparing monsters to start with???), but the monsters showed no response/ignored you/took advantage of you, would Frisk be able to get the happy ending that is the "pacifist ending"? It's never only the choice of you.
Frisk has done his best, in such a desperate state. He has done what he could have. Even with a reset, Frisk would once again ask for help, and try to fight hostility with kindness. What leads to the tragic end for both Frisk and monsters is the monsters' apathy.
And apathy can be because of many reasons. Each of the "significant characters" in the plot above represents one of the reasons for apathy.
I have divided the characters into 2 categories, based on whether their intentions for apathy are relatively "good" or "bad". Emphasis on relatively, because ultimately all of them choose not to help Frisk and instead watch him die / kill him. Some reasons are more acceptable. Some reasons are just pure evil.
(Also this is the point I am going to get burned lol)
Characters with relatively acceptable reasons are:
(A1) Papyrus
(A2) Undyne
(A3) General Monsters
...in decreasing morality (i.e. More and more evil).
Characters with absolutely horrible motives are:
(B1) Flowey
(B2) Toriel (yes)
(B3) Sans
...again in decreasing morality.
I will explain each of these characters in the following time. Aside from character analyses and symbolism explanations, I will also cover plot points that may have seemed "weird" in the above [Plot] section (e.g. wtf is Sans' deal).
(A1) Papyrus
(I really can't taint the best skeleton boi can i)
Papyrus represents apathy because of ignorance.
He is the most innocent monster of the entire monster cast in the story. And therefore, also the most tragic monster casualty.
Papyrus is naive. Period. And this is what causes problems.
He believes everything everyone tells him. He believes everything at first sight. Very deeply, too. Without challenge.
He believes humans are all bad guys because Undyne tells him so.
He believes monsters are the good guys because Undyne tells him so.
He believes Undyne is a good person because that's his own impression.
He believes Undyne will understand Frisk because that's his personal wishful thinking.
I could go over all of Papyrus' mental gymnastics (that's actually what I did in the first draft), but that would be too verbose. In conclusion, what I am trying to show is how dangerously simple Papyrus' mind is, both for himself and those around him.
He really thinks he is doing Frisk a legitimate favour. He really thinks Undyne will immediately pity Frisk as Papyrus does, and help Frisk as Papyrus wishes for. And then everyone will immediately understand Frisk, and with the power of friendship, they can do anything and achieve a happily ever after.
That is simply not possible.
You can say he is "stupid", and I will have to agree. But this stupidness, or ignorance, is what makes him a culprit and a victim.
This ignorance causes him to believe in a lie that leads to many humans killed.
This ignorance causes him to deny a human salvation.
This ignorance causes him to unknowingly send a human child to his death.
And this ignorance is taken advantage by those who wants to push their own agenda.
Ignorance itself is innocent, but ignorance can be manipulated into committing terrible acts of evil.
===
(A2) Undyne
Undyne represents apathy because of stubbornness.
Another way of describing Undyne's attitude is "the unwillingness to change (a concept)".
Undyne has believed humans to be literal scum of the earth for so long, she doesn't (and quite frankly, cannot) believe otherwise. She doesn't believe she has been killing the wrong people this whole time. That the humans killed all had emotions, dreams, memories and families like this child (Frisk) in front of her. She refuses to believe so.
Also, her pride plays a part to her refusal to accept the truth. She is the noble, righteous knight of the Underground. How could she admit she was actually the villain here? What would others think of her? (And more importantly) What would she think of herself?
Therefore, upon knowing the real truth behind Frisk, she really believes that it is a lie. She has to believe so: This is what keeps her going. The belief that humans are evil, and it is her duty to eradicate them from the face of the earth.
This extreme stubbornness is what causes her apathy. If she helped Frisk, how would she explain to herself? About her belief? About what she had done to many humans in the past? She would rather just be wrong her entire life, rather than owning it up and accepting the truth. That would make her life easier.
Undyne is not evil per se. She has just believed in an extreme ideology for too long to let go. Now she can't let go anymore, because her entire meaning of existence now depends on it: Her apathy towards humans. She can't change anymore.
Not for Frisk. Not for any other pitiable human.
She can only bring that apathy to her grave.
===
(A3) General Monsters
General monsters (like the "random encounters" in-game) represents apathy because...just cause.
In other words: "Why should I care?"
This is the most common cause of apathy, and it is exemplified in those "general" monsters.
Rather than having a reason not to help, they don't have a reason to help.
They see Frisk in trouble, and then they think: "Why should I help him? How does that benefit me? And moreover, why should I help him? I don't have the responsibility to."
At best, they will ignore him.
At worst, they will bully him, because...hey, easy target, am I right?
Notice how all of those general monsters, no matter how "flashy" and unique they may be, attack you for seemingly no freaking reasons? They aren't even seeking out your soul. They are just being annoying and a nuisance. And you suffer for it.
And to an already troubled individual, this is not "just a prank, bro". This is humiliation.
======================
The next section of characters are the "bad" ones. They all display apathy for absolutely terrible motives.
To summarise, all of them represent apathy because of selfishness, with different selfish "reasons" for their (in)actions. And by "selfishness", I mean inflicting absolutely unnecessary pain for absolutely unnecessary personal pleasure.
(B1) Flowey
Flowey takes pleasure in watching Frisk suffer and break.
Flowey is right: Really, he didn't do anything to Frisk. Well, aside from that little skirmish when they first met, but that was just to "teach" Frisk about "stranger danger".
(That's a lie. It was used to elicit the dark side of Frisk's personality, which had been suppressed pretty well because of Chara. Had been.)
In other times, Flowey doesn't even appear near Frisk. Flowey doesn't intervene with Frisk. Doesn't sabotage him nor help his enemies. Flowey is just...watching from afar.
And this is the problem. If Flowey didn't appear to Frisk near the end of the story, he wouldn't be killed, honestly. Frisk probably wouldn't even remember him. But Flowey's appearance and comments show Frisk that he is being watched like a freak show. His suffering is viewed as pleasure. His breakdowns, cries, pain, despair...they are all enjoyed by someone.
Imagining how someone can be smiling in ecstasy while he's literally dying inside and outside, that rage drives Frisk to brutally murder Flowey for his schadenfreude.
===
(B2) Toriel
Alright. This may seem a shock to you, and I can tell you it is intended.
Toriel takes pleasure in keeping Frisk.
In a nutshell, Toriel's mindset can be summarised with a quote from someone and something you may or may not know.
"You're funny. I'm keeping you."
~ Doofus Drake, "Day of the Only Child!", Ducktales 2017 (S01E14)
It is hard to convey via text, but what I want to show with Toriel is that she views Frisk as a possession rather than a person.
When things are going smoothly, these two nouns can seem pretty synonymous. But when things go down (i.e. when Frisk wants to leave), that is when these two words start to show contrasts.
Toriel loves Frisk, and wants to keep Frisk. Period.
She doesn't care if he likes it or not. She doesn't care if he loves her back or not. She doesn't care if he is happy or not. As long as Toriel has Frisk in her home, she will be happy. And that's the only thing that matters.
To keep Frisk, Toriel will do anything to make him stay. The most prominent (and heinous) thing is emotional manipulation.
In other words: Guilt-tripping.
This is why Toriel wants Frisk to fight her, even though Frisk is terribly unwillingly and that is mentally unhealthy for Frisk (imagine your parent asking you to fight them???) She knows this, and this is why she is forcing him to do it.
Because Frisk is going to feel extremely guilty for having to hurt Toriel (after everything she has so "graciously" done for him), and Toriel is going to exploit that guilt. The only way Frisk is going to leave is over Toriel's dead body. Don't wanna hurt Toriel? Can't leave then, kid.
And when Frisk is feeling more determined (i.e. when he actually tries to "fight" Toriel to escape), Toriel ups her guilt-tripping game: She purposely hurts Frisk, and then feigns guilt/regret. Making a "look what you've made me done" face, and making sure Frisk sees it. This makes Frisk feel like the scum of the earth for ever wanting to leave the Ruins, and Toriel wants that.
This is why Chara intervenes and immediately kills Toriel without questions. Chara has seen so many human children fallen trap into Toriel's manipulation, thus staying in the Ruins until they eventually lose their determination (soul) and die.
He has seen so many incidents of that guilt-tripping happening; and when Toriel is "bored" of that child, she just "I don't want to play with you anymore" and lets them die.
And he's not going to let Frisk be another one.
This is why Chara says he is the one who truly wants to protect Frisk.
Chara thought of telling Frisk about the true nature of Toriel, but seeing how Frisk is still so innocent (at that time), he decides to keep it to himself.
Of course, by the end of the story, Frisk probably has deduced that himself.
===
(B3) Sans
I know Sans has a lot of fans (apparently he is a "tumblr sexyman" without me even knowing??? I even learnt this fact outside of fandoms), and I am probably gonna get gaster-blastered for saying what I am going to say.
But Sans is the absolute piece of shit in my story.
If I have to swear to comment on a character, Sans is that character.
To really summarise, Sans takes pleasure in fighting Frisk.
But what Sans enjoys is general sadism.
Sans loves to fight (and defeat) strong people. This is his primary motive. And he will do anything to have an "exciting" fight. I realised afterwards that Sans' character is quite similar to Hisoka Morow (afterwards, because I didn't know HxH at the time I was thinking of the plot).
When Sans first sees Frisk (or rather, when he first senses Frisk, because Sans often visits the exit of the Ruins), he knows at once that Frisk has a very strong power hidden. Sans wants to fight Frisk in his "awakened" state.
To his dismay, however, Chara is there to protect Frisk. To make him awaken his powers, Sans will do anything to break Frisk.
Sans purposely makes Frisk (Chara) murder everyone in the Underground, just to awaken his "dark side". Sacrifices include Undyne, Toriel and even his own brother Papyrus (and especially Papyrus. Because he is pretty much innocent and his death will deteriorate Frisk's sanity by a lot, and Sans knows and wants this).
Think about it: Sans is literally there in the second area of the game, and he knows you are a (supposedly) violent individual. Why the hell doesn't he stop you right then and there??? We know Sans is strong af. He is definitely more than capable of stopping you from continuing your genocide route at that point. Why, then, does he do nothing, and even lets you kill his brother?
My reason for this is to break Frisk. He purposely lets Frisk undergo all the suffering, pain and traumas throughout the Underground, just so he can make Frisk unlock his potential and have a good fight with a broken Frisk. And monster sacrifices don't matter, because Sans knows about the timeline reset ability (not that he cares about casualties anyway, he just cares about himself having fun).
Sans is so confident in his ability that he can definitely defeat Frisk and make him submit (thus losing the "Determination" revival ability). He is so arrogant that he thinks he can "have fun" fighting even an awakened Frisk, and win. And then he can take his Soul and reset the timeline with it, saving everything and everyone. And doing it all over again for the thrill.
(This is why it's important that Sans is the one to bring up the topic of timeline reset, because this is the mechanism he intended to exploit.)
When he sees that Chara has been doing a very good job at keep Frisk (barely) sane, Sans takes advantage of Frisk's most vulnerable: Despair.
When a person is desperate, they would do anything to achieve what they want, even things that would be deemed irrational otherwise. And this is what Sans uses against Frisk: He knows very well that Frisk is innocent all along and just wants to be spared, so he gives him what he wants and then immediately betrays him. Not to mention making fun of his despair and helplessness.
That is the final breaking point for Frisk. And Frisk does break, much to Sans' excitement for 1 second and then shock for the next.
Sans didn't know just how powerful Frisk really was. He thought he was the strongest fighter in the entire world. He didn't know how exactly strong an awakened Frisk was, but he was so arrogant in his ability, he thought he could beat him anyway. Of course he was wrong.
This is why Sans gets rekted immediately after Frisk takes over, because Sans didn't expect Frisk to be this strong. He doesn't even have the chance to fight back (and so he isn't having any fun at all).
In the end, Sans pays his price for his psychopathic behaviour, but the damage to Frisk has been done. A damage that not even a timeline reset can erase.
======================
To add on one last bit: The ending of the story is meant to showcase Frisk's complete transition from empathy to apathy.
What Chara shows Frisk (i.e. The True Pacifist ending) is real. If Frisk chose to reset the timeline, he really would achieve that ending.
Notice how I said in the [Settings] section that "Frisk would reset the timeline in a heartbeat"? At the end of the story, Frisk finally attains the power to do so, but he no longer chooses to.
Even if Frisk would not retain the memories (traumas) of what had happened in the previous timeline, he still wouldn't choose to reset.
This is because Frisk's happy ending is no longer the issue here. He doesn't care if he is stuck in the worst ending possible. What matters is that he doesn't want the monsters to have their own happy ending.
The monsters didn't give Frisk a happy ending, why should Frisk give them one then?
In the end, no one is happy.

i deleted the account when we first got into contact about a year ago, but because it’s tumblr, the posts are still there, they just show up as “deactivated” if that makes sense. i wish i used a fake name or something but ive also posted selfies so it’s just so easily traced back to me and very fucked up.
i made friends in that fandom that i don’t talk to anymore but they could easily link it back to me, they have my number and old chats and audios and selfies i sent them over text etc.
i wish teenage me didn’t have access to the internet holy fuck. why couldn’t it just be fluffy shit. my glad this is the worst possible situation.
like j i deleted the account but it’s still there on my friends reblogs. it’s such a nightmare

(2/2) the only option that would keep me safe is if my friends (one in particular that is the closest link to me) got deleted, but I’m not about to mass report the account lmao bc that’s awful, and that wouldn’t even work, so im just fucked basically. the worst possible digital footprint anywhere and unless that acc gets deleted, it’ll always be there bc they reblogged all my selfies and stuff.
you must think I’m insane, im starting to regret asking for an emoji djdbdbd. i swear im not

i wish you would've deleted the archives first bestie!!! if you need help we will mass report the blog- i kid... unless,,, NO. 👀
idk friend, this is a tough one. i think you should tell them that you were a fan and had a fan account for a while (IF IT COMES UP. LETS NOT THROW OURSELVES UNDER THE BUS FIRST DATE YA'KNOW) and should things progress maybe say that you wrote some cringy stuff.
i think you'd rather have them know you told them before they had to find out thru stan accounts.
also- WHO IS THIS PERSON??? obv i don't want a name drop but like... are they a youtuber/tiktoker/musician/ like- HOW FAMOUS ARE THEY??? cause if this is lower level, no worries. if they have a couple mill... well.
