I can see 3 explanations for this Malevolent Shrine and its altered construct.
It's infused with the 10ST, or
It's a different version of MS, or
It's a mix of both
10 Shadows Technique
When I first saw this page, my first thought was "shikigami". It's the multiple eyes that, like you said, remind us of Nue and Agito but it's also the hands, it's overall animalistic design and also the dark spine that keeps it in the air.
Like we already said, this could've happened because Sukuna was forced to use parts of his brain that weren't damaged by UV and those extra parts may have been the place where 10ST is stored.
This would mean that this look happened on accident or better said, it's a compromise Sukuna had to make to expand his domain again. Or he simply sacrificed the 10ST for the remainder of this fight and that's why it looks like that right now.
As was already said in the story, the construct has no innate ability, it merely symbolizes the centre of MS so the addition of the 10ST wouldn't add anything to it outside of the expansion of the domain itself. If this DE had been properly fused with Chimera Shadow Garden than I think the text would've indicated it. (Except Gege wanted to hide that part and explain it later, like how Miwa(?) suddenly appeared to protect Maki.
My overall assumption for more than a year now since Megumi has been possessed, is that a reincarnated sorcerer doesn't have access to the DE of their host because a DE comes from the soul and that has been submerged now. So if that above is the 10ST than it's only a shallow paint of it.
Another Version of Malevolent Shrine
To expand MS, Sukuna had to make 3 compromises: Binding Vows, different handsign and usage of other parts of his brain. The last 2 could've very well changed the appearance of his construct but I'm concentrating on his handsign now
(The handsigns that the characters are using for their DEs come from a set of Buddhist greetings when I remember it correctly. These greetings are limited so as long as Gege doesn't expand his pool, the amount of characters with DE will stay low (as is the case right now). It could also happen that some characters will have the same handsign for their DE)
Kusakabe said that for a DE, you have to mix a set of parameters until it all fits and that changing those parameters is insane (paraphrasing) but that's exactly what Sukuna and Gojo did during their fight.
My theory is that changing the trigger of MS - the enmaten handsign - is the cause for why his construct is different now. Other sorcerers most likely wouldn't be able to expand their domains at all when they don't use their normal handsign but Sukuna somehow pushed that through.
IMO, the change of handsign itself changed the appearance of the construct (and maybe overall ability of the domain?) simply because it's not its own handsign. It's not about Gojo's sign in particular but about Sukuna needing a one-handed sign which forced his domain through a shape it's not accustomed to.
(This would also be true when that isn't Gojo's sign.)
The construct itself, while bizarre at first glance, also fits into Sukuna's established themes re his previous construct, his inner domain and his face.
Tumblr media
The animal parts would come from the deer bones and skull, there is a mouth behind Sukuna that's the same as the mouth in his normal MS, the bones on top remind me of the deer antlers but also the ripcage his inner domain is in, and the hands symbolize Sukuna's own because that's how he uses his CT.
(Worth noting is that Makora has been destroyed; if some part of it would reappear again, it would be his wheel.)
The multiple eyes look like Sukuna's own face.
Gege did a few design changes when he reintroduced original Sukuna; he's better looking now for one and less animalistic. His right eyes are now significantly bigger as well, extremely big actually and IMO that's because Gege sketched that construct at the same time and matched Sukuna's look with it (plus other story related reasons probably)
And of course, the change in the construct's look could be a mix of everything I've said right now.
We'll definitely get more domain expansions in the future especially with Megumi's CSG looming on the horizon so this will get answered most likely... just not in the next three months.

There's levels to ancestral connection, and you shouldn't skip any of them.
Take this as your reminder to first of all, spend time with your spirits, without expecting anything in return. Heavy on that last part. You don't make and maintain a genuine connection with someone just by showing up to their doorstep every time you need something from them. Treat them as people because they are. Your people. You should care for them as much as they care for you.
Be it ancestors (specifically direct blood lineage or adoptive family, any deceased human relative) or ancestral spirits (in general, that is, all ancestral allies and hereditary connections not just your ancestors). Just make time to hang out. Walk up to their space, a cup of your favorite drink in hand, give them their preferred drink and just chat. Don't ask anything in return. If you have an altar for them, do that. But it can be just going to visit their graves and giving libations and flowers, and telling them how your life's going, sharing memories together, remembrance, or just to listen. It can also be going to the beach or a river, and same thing, pour a drink and talk to them, and listen back. It can be your plant allies, while you're watering them, or putting eggshells or honey or sugar water or other good nutrients and fertilizers on their soil. It can be visiting your ancestors in dreams, and spending time with them there. There's so many ways to do this.
The second level to this is letting them sit in your body too. Listen. Become familiar with how they make you feel. With the signs of their arrival and presence. With the signs they communicate with and what they mean to you. With how they let you know they have a message, or that they're in for a visit. And let them in. Dance to your grandma's favorite beats. Sing your grandpa's favorite songs. Make a family recipe and share a meal with them, enjoy it for them and with them.
Ancestral reverence isn't just the big rituals and they're not the most important aspect of it, it is the everyday coexistence, in your little but constant everyday ways.
Do as you do but also as they did. You're an extension of them and they're an extension of you. They not only walk with you, you carry them within you.
Honor that.

Player with a child has been on my mind,, Can you imagine the amount of stress Player is going through?? They would've been completely fine being here on their own, but to bring their child to Nevada has them scrambling to keep them safe. Always keeping their child behind them and out of sight (also to block them from seeing all the gore and blood that tends to paint the place), covering their ears when a gun fight starts, etc. Thankfully, Player doesn't have to worry about protecting their kid because they've got the boys!! I'm sure Hank will have no problem tearing apart anyone who's anywhere near their location. Sanford and Deimos can definitely help with occupying the child (after hours of begging the Player to sleep and convincing them that the kid is safe) I also think the fact Sanford's a mama's boy might help ease Player lol. Doc,,, I have no clue what Doc what do honestly. Might be busy with Player discussing important things like the kid's medical history. Also maybe Phobos doesn't act too different? Just surprised to see his Player happens to have a little god in the making. Player might take advantage of this and make him swear loyalty to the child and prioritize them (and with how serious they sounded it's not like he'll disobey). Maybe he also acts as another parental figure for the kid?? Like showing them around the tower, carrying them around, letting them explore, etc. (may get a few weird looks from the staff but that's ok) I would write for Jeb and Hof but out of brain juices and the ask is already long,, I hope you still enjoy Parent! Player tho :))
!!!!PARENT!PLAYER YES! I LOVE THIS!! This is such a good idea, you're completely right; the Player's experience if their child was ripped from reality with them would be entirely different and their stress level would go up by 10^17. I was originally going to do just a straight answer for this, but I realized I had faar too much to say, so have some unofficial headcanon things instead ig. 😅

(TW: Yandere, Obsessive Behavior)
//-[The Employers]-//
From the moment you were dragged into Nevada, you kept a careful watch on whoever you were around and, more importantly, whoever your child is around. And of course, because they're the ones who brought you there, the Employers were the first to receive your scrutiny.
You didn't trust them with your kid, to put it simply, and they never really gave you a substantial reason to think otherwise. The Employers weren't even that good with other people in general, let alone innocent children, and it showed from how awkward and stilted they were around you when you had yours with you (which was almost always).
It puts them in a difficult position because while they want to shower you with attention and get to really know everything about you, you keep them at arm's length all the time; leveling them with dark glares whenever they get too close or try to give you anything. Showing clear suspicion when they do anything you deem too nice, especially with regard to your kid. You don't care about your own safety that much, but you made it clear that if anything were to happen to your little one because of them, you'd send them to whatever version of hell they go to, no matter how long it took.
If you decide to stay with the Employers (as would likely be the case if you wound up in Nevada before the events of the game), then you begrudgingly allow them some leniency in what they do. But you keep an eye on them all the while, carefully monitoring how they behave around your child. When you're not, you're actually instructing them on it, as they generally tend to treat your kid like an adult when they really shouldn't (speaking to them too roughly, ordering them around, etc).
You don't really rest and let them take care of your kid themselves; you just don't trust them to do a good job with it, so you're still kinda stressed most of the time. But at least you don't have to worry about your kid seeing any blood or gore, since all of the Employers are very careful about what occurs near you or your kid (perks of being on the AAHW's good side, you suppose).
//-[The Main 4]-//
While a part of you was honestly really hesitant to allow the boys to form a bond with your kid (they are wanted murderers after all), you eventually warmed up to the idea from seeing just how hard they worked to get your approval for such a thing. They'd ask you if you needed anything for them, even going out of their way to find little nick-knacks and toys to give to you so you could present them to your kid (it wasn't from them if it was a gift to you originally, they reasoned). Sanford made sure he could make something at least close to their favorite once in a while, to cheer them up. However, once you made it known that they could start helping you out, they put in even more effort.
Your boys don't have the luxury of keeping you away from combat at the moment, which means they have to work together with you to keep your kid blissfully ignorant while they gun down your foes from further away. Luckily you've found that your strings can cover quite a bit of distance, so you stick near Doc from a ranged position most of the time. (Good thing Deimos made some smaller headphones to block the noise of the gunfire; you didn't want their ears to be impacted too much from it.)
Hank is especially good at taking out enemies before they reach your sight-line, and you reward this with some grateful praise (maybe even a quick peck on the cheek). Which, of course, only spurs Sanford and Deimos on to try and compete, to his displeasure. But it keeps you and your child safer, which is the most important part.
However, where Sanford and Deimos really shine is with actually taking care of your kid, as you said. Deimos makes little toys and robots for them, even having them "help out" (holding flashlights and handing him things) to keep them interested. Nevada doesn't really have any children's shows anymore, but he brings out some old action movies and tamer things he watched when he was a lot younger. (You also watch along with them, which leads to a lot of inside jokes amongst the three of you.)
Sanford is generally the most "parent-like" out of the four; he worries about their nutrition and if they're getting enough sleep, and speaks with you about how they're doing mentally. He even offers to take you and your kid to go visit his family (his mother and siblings) so they have more friendly faces. He knows that Nevada isn't exactly a good place to raise a child, so he wants you to know that he supports you and that you can rely on him to take care of them if need be.
Doc is a lot kinder to you and your kid than he is with everyone else, and it shows. His tone is less stern and he even leans down so as to not appear threatening, but his behavior is mostly the same. Although, he also tries to go over human health and anatomy with you to effectively "doctor" your child, which will definitely take some time. (He's not even authorized to be a medic for grunts, so he's got his work cut out for him. It's more than worth it, though.)
They also worry about you too, since they can tell this stress is beginning to take its toll on you, so they definitely try to distract your kid so you can get some sleep. Or alternatively, they try to make you both so comfortable that you doze off together, since you know your child is safe if they're asleep in your arms. (However, you do have to admit that seeing your kid all snuggled up in the arms of a grunt four times their size is pretty adorable.)
//-[The Nexus Core]-//
It takes you very little time to realize how much the Director of the Nexus Core idolizes you, and with that comes the opportunity to make your kid more of a focal point for him too. After all, if you're such a God, then of course your own child would be a little godling, right? It made sense to you, and of course, Phobos was very easily convinced. Swearing fealty to both of you made sense, and this makes him adjust the Nexus Cores rules of conduct to show this as well.
The Nexus Core personnel are instructed to be even safer, keeping things locked and clean, and ensuring that anything dangerous is kept in special rooms that require security clearance. It was only a few steps above what they did before, but knowing that the Player's child was the reason was very odd for them. However, they find it weirdly endearing to see you be so sweet to them in the few moments any agents, soldats, or scientists catch you carefully tying your kid's shoes or giving them soft encouragements when they're nervous.
Most of the Nexus' workforce are also clones and didn't have parents themselves, so it's a very new thing to see a kid actually being raised. It makes them appreciate you a lot more, and I can see them doing little things to help you out (finding candy that they can conveniently leave for you, or keeping an eye out in case your little one gets lost).
I think Phobos would desperately want your kid's approval, so much it's actually pretty funny. He does a lot to keep them entertained, and will go above and beyond to keep them happy. Getting them dessert or expensive toys and clothes is pretty standard, but he also wants to have a genuine bond with them. It's really difficult for him because he's never been around kids, but with your coaching, it works out pretty well.
(Seeing your gaze soften as your kid hugs him makes a wide grin spread across his face. He raises an arm to invite you over, and his heart beats a little faster when you lean into his side and whisper a small thank you.)
Jebus and Hofnarr are honestly kind of shocked you have a child, to begin with. (Unless you mentioned it on your stream and Jeb heard it, but Hofnarr is still taken aback.) However, once they see how tired and stressed you are about having to raise someone in Nevada of all places, they try to formulate ways to alleviate some of that burden so you can rest.
Jeb isn't the warmest person, but he's really kind and caring in regard to your kid. It honestly makes the Nexus agents do a double-take, cause it's not like Jebediah was ever rude, but he's never acted quite like this before. You'd also say that he's a good teacher for them as well, since he places a huge priority on making sure their education wasn't very stunted by your sudden appearance in Nevada. Hofnarr also helps with this, if we're talking pre-M:PN times as well.

I think something about HOTD and it's framing is that it had the chance to do something beautiful, or more accurately, it did something beautiful and fascinating either on accident or with intentions that make it practically meaningless, and fucked themselves over with it cause now they can't use it.
the way the shows pacing, framing, and story writing is set, it is insanely easy to get caught up in the pro TB anti team green narrative, cause there is just so much information getting launched at you, you barely have enough time to understand what your seeing surface level, let alone processing it critically on your first watch.
but the more you watch it, the more you process it all, the more logically and critically you think about it, that pro TB narrative starts to lose standing. you see how flawed Rhaenyra is, you see the true situation the greens are in (between a rock [death] and a hard place [usurpation], to put i tot simply), you see the web of politics binding.
if the writers saw what they had done, they totally could have used it to their advantage, they could have used it to really beef up both sides in terms of characterization. or maybe they did realize it, maybe they did it intentionally (I can't tell if I think they're competent enough to do that, whether I like it or not, or incompetent enough to do it by accident and then fumble the bag with it...), maybe that was the intent overall, to destroy TG, not by making them actually awful (outside of what they did to Aegon), but to instead go so overboard you can't see anything else but their TB bullshit.
either way, it had so much potential and they just squashed it.

We're A Team!
Fandom: rotbtd | Characters: Hiccup, Jack Frost, Merida, Rapunzel
Prompt(s): Hiccup, "We're a team!"
Word count: 609 | Warnings: None | Read on AO3
---
Twenty-eight hours.
That was how long it had been since anyone had seen Jack Frost.  Which wasn’t exactly saying something, considering only a handful of people could actually see him.  No, what was concerning was that the four of them were supposed to be on a mission together, and he had been missing since Hiccup woke up the day before.
“He’ll be back soon,” Rapunzel re-assured, giving Toothless scratches in his favorite spots.  “Maybe he just lost track of time.”
Merida scoffed.  “He’s probably just goofin’ off again.”
Hiccup wanted to believe them.  He wanted either of them to be right with every fiber of his being.  But he could tell they didn’t fully believe it either, what with Rapunzel nervously biting her lip and Merida glancing at her bow every five seconds.
Sighing, he rose from the moss-covered stone he had been using as a seat.  Before Jack had disappeared it had been covered in a light dusting of frost, but now it was adorned in the colors of spring.  “Toothless and I will do another fly-by.  Just in case.”
“But you just did one!” The blonde exclaimed.
“You’ll wear the both of ye out.”  Pointing her knife — which she had been using to carve a decent likeness of their dragon friend — at him, Merida leaned forward.  “It’s no good usin’ up all your energy when we dinnae have a clue where he is.”
“Here’s a clue for you; turn around.”
Three heads snapped towards the familiar voice, finding an amused Jack leaning against a tree, nonchalance oozing off of him in thick waves.
“See, he’s fine.”  Merida went back to her carving.  “Now do you want to wallop him or should I?”
Grinding his teeth together, Hiccup ignored her.  “Where were you Jack?  You’ve been gone for a whole day.”
The spirit cringed, opened his mouth to speak, thought better of it, and then settled for a simple shrug.  “Around.”
Oh-ho-ho-ho, he was going to have to do better than ‘around’.  “You can’t just go running off on your own, Jack!  We’re a team!  We have to work together.”
“What’s the big deal?  I’m here now, aren’t I?”
“The big deal is that you left without telling us!  We were worried about you!”
Jack frowned, pushing himself off of the tree.  “What are you talking about?  I left you guys a note.”
“You— You what?”
Jack strode over to the other side of their campsite.  “Yeah, I left it under a rock over here and—”  He faltered, tearing what remained of a soggy, crumpled mess from underneath a small stone.  “Oh.”
Hiccup threw his hands up in the air.  “‘Oh’, he says.  Unbelievable.”
“In my defense, I don’t control the weather.”
“Did you find out anything while you were gone?” Rapunzel asked.
Sighing, Jack ran a hand through his snow-white hair.  “No.  I noticed an old acquaintance was in the neighborhood and went to see if he knew anything that could help us.  But…it was a dead end.”  He flashed an apologetic smile.  “Sorry.”
Merida rose from her spot, brushing flakes of wood off herself as she approached the spirit.  “Well next time you decide to go gallivanting off on your own, tell us first.”  She gave his forehead a good flick.  “Got it, dummy?”
He rubbed the spot she had hit, letting out a small chuckle.  “Yeah, yeah.  It won’t happen again.”
And as the four began cleaning up their campsite, falling back into their familiar, amiable rhythm, a large, bunny-shaped figure loped away through the bushes as quietly as possible.  After all, there was still much to be done till spring would be finished.

Satoru gojo x gn!reader || MDNI ||
So we’ve seen with Geto that Gojo likes poking people he’s close to, often literally and in the face. Well what if one of the times he does it to you so you bite his fingers. You expect him to yelp or immediately pull back. Instead his glasses sit low on his nose and his eyes burn into yours. A cocky lil smirk curls his lips and he just tells you “Now suck on them.” No he’s not just telling you to, he’s giving you a command.
Your brain suddenly feels fried, you’re staring at him like a deer caught in headlights. You’re only somewhat brought back to earth when his fingers press down on your tongue.
You do as you’re told.

The live action Scooby-Doo movies?
I did not see this ask until RIGHT now (first time on desktop since crab day, second time since Nov 5 2020 [which was DOUBLY experience since I got my phone taken the same day]) so I'm going to assume this ask got eaten on mobile because tumblr, HOWEVER you poked a bear with this ask anon (as I'm sure you knew when asking) SO without further ado: my Scooby Doo live action opinions
So when you say 'live action Scooby-Doo movies' I'm assuming you're talking about the James Gunn films, starting with Scooby-Doo (2002) followed by Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, just due to like, generally popularity and also the fact that I have actually seen those films. However shoot another ask if you wanted me to include Curse of the Lake Monster in this (because I will if anyone cares and turn this into a live-action scooby dissertation, i'd just need to like. watch the movie first) But anyways where I'm going with this is that this post is about the Gunn movies aka the ones with SMG, Freddie Prinze Jr., Linda Cardellini, and ofc our #1 man, Matthew Lilliard.
Okay so my take on these movies is... complicated. I wouldn't say it's as complicated as my feelings towards SDMI, because I watched the live actions way less as a kid and generally care less about them, but still no matter how much shit I throw at these two movies there are parts that I generally like (even love) that stops me from totally condemning them wholesale. Like the fact that these movies are FUNNY! There's so many moments from this duology that are just beyond iconic "like, that's one of my favorite names!" the whole thing with Scooby in the dress at the airport, ET. CETERA (like I can go on!)
The Gunn movies are genuinely SO fun and I can 100% see and understand how they've stood so well in the public view as a representation of Scooby. HOWEVER, this is where you start to see my problems with them. For the general American, (because that is the audience I'm familiar with) ESPECIALLY millennials and younger, who happen to make up the majority of both people on this site AND people I talk about Scooby with in real life, these movies, and the elements they introduced as "quintessential scooby tropes" are the base of their understanding of the Scooby franchise, along with likely some miscellaneous WAY episodes and maybe SDMI.
Which is where I get pissed off. In the pushing of the narrative of "breaking away" from the Scooby norm, Gunn basically invents (aka totally makes up) an idea of what classic era Scooby was like, cementing an idea of classic Scooby into the public mind that is totally disingenuous and just straight up false. For example, in attempting to portray Daphne as having taken strides to be seen more seriously in solving mysteries and defending herself, it pushes the narrative that in the classic era she WASN'T taken seriously, and only existed as a damsel-in-distress prop of a character, which is just not true??? Like yes, Daphne is clumsy, that's a part of her character, and her friends (because, fun fact, the gang ARE friends) joke about it sometimes because that's what friends DO. Framing that in some kind of sexist "that's all she does" lens is just total bull, especially as gang members fall into secret passageways/get lost etc. in WAY ALL THE DAMN TIME because that's how the plot functions! Like are we calling Velma ditzy for losing her glasses every other episode? Of course not, and Fred falls into passageways all the time, not to MENTION Shaggy and Scooby and all they get up to. Also one last thing on the topic of Daphne, like this idea of her mystery solving skills not being respected by the gang is just so supremely bullshit it amazes me sometimes, especially when she was the LEADER (or leader adjacent) through pretty much all of her appearances in the 1980s [Not that James Gunn could look at '80s era Scooby without spitting on it, but I digress]
AND THIS IS JUST DAPHNE! Like the perceptions pushed towards Fred (and Velma, but mostly Fred) through these movies are just as bad! Like okay, with Fred---In these movies Fred is just an asshole. I hate Gunn Movies!Fred. I mean yeah he can be funny but it's almost always so mean! Almost nothing makes me madder than a mean Fred by the way. If he's putting other gang members down (even halfway, like with his whole "dorky chicks like you turn me on too" line, which... ew) then to me something has gone very, very, VERY, wrong in your basic understanding of Frederick Herman Jones as a character. Like he's the cheerleader! He puts himself in between his friends and danger! He loves nets, and traps, and Elvis impressions, and wrestling, and the trapeze, and cars, and most of all he LOVES sharing the things he loves with his friends! (Sometimes to a bit of an extreme. No one wants to hear about your net facts, Fred) And the live action movies just don't understand that at all. And I know there's maybe something to say I suppose in that some of those aspects of his characterization hadn't been "established yet" by the time "Scooby-Doo" came out in 2002. But it's there if you look. For Fred Jones, being the leader means being the caretaker, (he's the Mom friend what can I say) and any version where he's cruel and arrogant and just DOESN'T CARE about his friends in the way he's shown to in the Gunn movies is just so far from Fred to me it's not even funny. And what makes it even worse for me is that this (or at least something similar) is the idea of Fred that has really spread to the popular culture. Just the "leader", the jock that makes the rules, the one that [insert X adaptation here] finally gave a personality and made interesting (something that has been said more times than I can count for pretty much every gang member, save Shaggy and Scooby).
And I haven't even touched on Velma, and how they gave her a bit of a early 2000s smart superiority girl complex against Daphne, plus the whole makeover thing and etc. etc. The Gunn Movies are pretty much what would happen if you took someone who hadn't seen Scooby since they were 7 years old (and honestly had a pretty negative outlook against it then) and tried to "fix" it, only his memory was so bad he just made up problems (and threw in a good helping of early 2000s style sexism with it) convincing pretty much the entirety of the popular culture that said problems exist and that Gunn was absolutely brilliant for fixing them (and then bringing up said "problems" whenever anyone wants to talk about Scooby) and this entire rant has been without even fucking MENTIONING what is probably the reason you, anonymous tumblr user sent this ask in the first place, to I, Swishy "Scrappy Doo Redemption Arc" Broke-on-books (dot tumblr dot com), which is his HIGHLY SUCESSFUL and utterly sadistic character assassination of my number one man, Scrappy Doo.
And I am going to try my damnedest here not to get totally into my highly passionate opinions over what James Gunn did to Scrappy in the first of his Scooby movies and how thoroughly it has pissed me the fuck off because I have been writing this post for over an hour now and if we start to really get into my feelings on this topic it will certainly be a couple of hours more but like. That Fucking Bitch. I give James Gunn personally a solid eighty-five percent of the blame for making my life as a Scrappy Doo fan UTTERLY unbearable with this stupid fucking movie alone, and just his Scrappy crimes would honestly be enough for me to say that I hate this movie, not even considering the numerous Scooby crimes I've been talking about here for the past million paragraphs, but the part about this movie that makes me the MOST mad the most pissed off is that it's actually a good fucking movie. James Gunn wrote two hilarious and entertaining movies that have become beloved in the popular culture for their successes in that arena, while at the same time pissing all over the core themes and messages of the franchise of which it was based, that of friendship.
TLDR; The Live Action Scooby Doo movies (written by James Gunn) are highly entertaining and fun pieces of media to watch, and are widely loved by the general public and looked at with fondness and nostalgia because of that. However, as a hardcore Scooby Doo fan (writing that phrase sounds so ridiculous but oh well) the existence of these movies and their impact on the popular culture can be extremely frustrating (despite any personal nostalgia said fan may have) due to their spreading of a misinformed picture of what "typical Scooby Doo" looks like. This picture is especially frustrating due to the fabrication or exaggeration of problems present in classic Scooby (such as sexism in regards to the girls), as well as giving more ammunition to other problems in Scooby fandom (such as oversexualization, and sexualization in general, which no one wants to see in regards to their children's cartoons, like HONESTLY.) Discussions of sexism and sexualization in Scooby (both of which ARE present and are issues, although not at their worst in WAY) can often lead to an overlooking of the issues that are very present and clear in WAY and have continued since then with far too little resistance (I'm 100% talking about the racism here) HOWEVER that topic deserves at least a dozen posts of its own that I am no way informed or qualified enough to even begin to think about writing. The Gunn Movies are frustrating to many longtime Scooby fans because of these reasons, but for me, and fellow Scrappy Doo fans there is also the added aspect of the demonization of Scrappy Doo in the live action movies and the affects that has had on the popular culture as well, making it uniquely inhospitable to like or enjoy the character of Scrappy. End post.
#that last sentence is such a weird tone jump btw but its because the topic flowed one way and i had to jump it back to a summary to actually#finish this monster of a post#SO anon i hope you're happy with this and this makes my opinion make some more sense. and you or anyone else is more than welcome to ask me#questions about anything i said here or my opinion on any and everything scooby related (and not) so if theres a specific aspect of this yo#would like expanded on i can definitely 100% do that for you or anyone who cares#also there are many complexities towards my feelings on these movies that i didnt get to hit on despite the monstrous size of this rant (il#check word count later but im not gonna fuck with it now because im terrified of deleting this post by accident) one of which is my lasting#fondness towards all of the actors in this movie. YES including freddie prinze jr. i may have major issues with his fred but hes also playe#characters i really really like. for example hes the va in this tv show i LOVE and havent watched in like 10 months despite the fact im on#the last season because freddie's character dies in like 7 episodes and i am NOT AT ALL emotionally prepared for that on any level because#that is my fictional father goddamnit!!!!!#also every buffy the vampire slayer gifset that crosses my dash gets me closer and closer to watching it because oh my god daphne!!!!! that#sarah michelle gellar thats daphne oh my god!!!! also i went and saw guardians of the galaxy 3 with my friend (despite not having seen a#marvel movie in 2+ years AND holding a grudge over james gunn's scooby doo crimes)[the things you do for {platonic} love amirite?]#and the title sequence SAID linda cardellini was in it and i got SO excited i was looking everywhere for her it was like wheres waldo in th#discount movie theatre FOR REAL and i just could NOT for the life of me find her (turns out she was VAing the ferret) so in a way linda mad#me cry with that role. whatever. istg i get so off topic i forget what i was even talking about but ANYWAYS <<<1 of my fave english words b#dubs (my favorite spanish word is el amanacer btw. it means sunrise. also burbujas because its bubbles and saying it sounds like bubbles#popping) BUT. AS I WAS SAYING. SEND ME ASKS IF YOU WANT SCOOBY DOO OPINIONS. DEAR GOD I GET SCATTERBRAINED SOMETIMES.#scooby doo#answered#anonymous#blah

Some SDV/SVE Character MBTI Headcanons:
Marlon - ISTJ Lance - ENFP Camilla - ENTJ Isaac - ISTP Alesia - INTJ Magnus - very tentatively INTP I'm more than happy to explain my thought process, but it'd probably be best if I did each character in their own post. Let me know if there's any you'd like to see explained in particular!

hot take, but i think a significant part of why girls who hold the view that butch/masc/gnc women (or ones that just arent that feminine) hold some kind of power over them is because they just don't want to admit that they really don't like them because of how they present, that they find another woman not ascribing to more traditional femininity as offputting and uncomfortable and strange (dare I say queer), but you cant say that and acknowledging that is recognition of their own prejudice, and so they need a good progressive reason to dislike them and hence they declare that the 'proximity' to traditional male-ness gives them some kind of privilege over feminine women, which as a caveat it does sometimes mean that men initially give more 'respect' but as literally any women who has been 'gifted' that respect can tell you, like most conditional things if you don't fill the conditions (ie; by being a person) you lose that and the backlash of misogyny becomes brutal, in much the same way that feminine women get gifted conditional respect but can lose it in different contexts, but other then that extremely conditional gift of respect what privilege do masc/butch/gnc women get or hold?
I also think thats why there is something fairly insidious about how getting over internalised misogyny is often now in a lot of supposedly progressive groups painted as women who were previously gnc becoming feminine, and signaling having non-traditional interests as a woman or not enjoying a lot of feminine things as a form of internalised misogyny, and yes sometimes women do aggressively reject feminine things because of that, but being a feminine woman doesn't inherently mean that you have no internalised misogyny

try kipo and the age of wonderbeasts! i think that's what its called, I saw it when it first came out and ive thought about it ever since.
i have tried watching it but it does not seem to be a style of animated story telling that clicks with me the same way gravity falls, steven universe, infinity train, and the owl house have.

tonight on random facts about jemma:
she cannot sleep in total silence. if it's too quiet, her tinnitus becomes far more noticeable. it also leads to her hearing everything — every rustle of leaves, every creak of the house, the wind whistling outside the window. all of which can lead to her anxiety and paranoia spiking, which means she just won't sleep, or at the very least, not sleep well. because of this, she will frequently have some kind of white noise playing, and likes to experiment with different types of colored and ambient noises to see what works best.
