There's levels to ancestral connection, and you shouldn't skip any of them.

Take this as your reminder to first of all, spend time with your spirits, without expecting anything in return. Heavy on that last part. You don't make and maintain a genuine connection with someone just by showing up to their doorstep every time you need something from them. Treat them as people because they are. Your people. You should care for them as much as they care for you.

Be it ancestors (specifically direct blood lineage or adoptive family, any deceased human relative) or ancestral spirits (in general, that is, all ancestral allies and hereditary connections not just your ancestors). Just make time to hang out. Walk up to their space, a cup of your favorite drink in hand, give them their preferred drink and just chat. Don't ask anything in return. If you have an altar for them, do that. But it can be just going to visit their graves and giving libations and flowers, and telling them how your life's going, sharing memories together, remembrance, or just to listen. It can also be going to the beach or a river, and same thing, pour a drink and talk to them, and listen back. It can be your plant allies, while you're watering them, or putting eggshells or honey or sugar water or other good nutrients and fertilizers on their soil. It can be visiting your ancestors in dreams, and spending time with them there. There's so many ways to do this.

The second level to this is letting them sit in your body too. Listen. Become familiar with how they make you feel. With the signs of their arrival and presence. With the signs they communicate with and what they mean to you. With how they let you know they have a message, or that they're in for a visit. And let them in. Dance to your grandma's favorite beats. Sing your grandpa's favorite songs. Make a family recipe and share a meal with them, enjoy it for them and with them.

Ancestral reverence isn't just the big rituals and they're not the most important aspect of it, it is the everyday coexistence, in your little but constant everyday ways.

Do as you do but also as they did. You're an extension of them and they're an extension of you. They not only walk with you, you carry them within you.

Honor that.

The advice I got for you is to be more balanced, more patient maybe with the mistakes of others. Let it flow, you can't control everything and every outcome. With the three of wands I feel like y'all are trying to escape this situation, as in not trying to deal with it. But the card right next to it it's the five of pentacles, so y'all need to accept the current situation, so you can finally move on into better times with the 6 of swords and temperance. Are you hung up on someone who doesn't like you back? The lyric that resonated was "Come back to me baby".

People who are really emotional, might have seen the moon and went right to this pile. Queen of cups, in tune with their feelings. The 9 of pentacles makes me think it's something bid and positive, related to money. Perhaps an inheritance. From my point of view, y’all may feel both trapped and free with this situation, because even though it might enable you to do some stuff, it might prevent you from other things.

Ok so, I believe this is an emotional issue/wound, unlike the previous piles. I feel like you have blocked emotions or hold grudges against someone from the past. It feels heavy. It's like someone hurt you before, and you still carry those awful sensations and memories with you. Feeling on the edge. You may think you are doing ok and that everything is fine, but it's not fine. The 9 of cups upright is like "I have these cups (emotions) under control" but since it's reversed it's out of your control, the cups are falling. All of this may make you physically anxious because it's too much to handle. However, at the same time you could act defensive, passive aggressive and ready to talk back when someone tries to have a conversation about it or point that issue to you. Dealing with this will allow you to enter a new chapter in your life, you’re going to be more adventurous and feel ready to live life. Advice is to go see someone who is licensed to help you, like a therapist of some sort. Heavy on that love spell or manifestation. You are aware of it to some extent because you're setting boundaries with this person, and in exchange it makes them think you're cold and heartless. I don't think you feel free or like you can be yourself truly in this relationship. "Is this who I really wanna be with?". The advice is the moon, meditate with yourself and genuinely contemplate how this person and the relationship is making you feel. Society is often like "you should feel this way when facing this situation", so I believe it's important to remind you that nobody has a say in your own feelings, because they're yours. I was puzzled for a bit with this one because the cards were positive I struggled to find the issue. With the wheel of fortune clarified with the 9 of pentacles and the sun, y'all are going through a beautiful period in life. Like being on top of a mountain and being able to see the sunrise after climbing all the way up. Like winning first place in a competition, it feels that positive. You feel victorious, after all that hard work it finally paid off. This period of opportunities and good moments will continue, but I see some people who are trying to come for your happiness and your achievements. They may be extremely envious of you, so they might be sending you stuff like the evil eye, or straight out bad energy your way. With the 7 of wands, you are defending yourself against these people, but it may not be enough because the advice card is the hierophant, so you really may need to ask someone more experienced or older for help. I keep thinking about a teacher, like this was a school situation. I encourage talking to someone because behind the hierophant is the tower, kind of like a warning of what could happen if you don't. This energy feels bright and masculine, I was thinking martial energy. It was particularly strong at the beginning. I want you to know it's not bad/mean/rude to stand up for yourself, don't let anyone step on you or what you have accomplished.

I feel like you already had your tower moment because of that behavior and you're trying to get back on your feet. You're trying to go back to how things were before, because the situation has changed and you no longer have the support you had before. You feel like you're fighting life with nobody by your side. You should finally face your internal demons and use that tower moment to stop being overly dependent on other people. The advice message is strong on this one, FACE YOUR OWN DEMONS. You need to walk through the darkness and unknown to be able to see the light again. I want to remind you that your shadow is still you, it's still a part of you. If you're not afraid of yourself, then you shouldn't be afraid of your own shadow. Our shadow plays an important role in our life, as much as our ego does. Good luck pile 6!

Some New Years’ customs I grew up with

Don’t wash clothes on the 1st or you’ll wash away the new year’s spirits and blessings.

Wear white for protection and to start the year anew!

Funky underwear colors. No, for real. White for peace, red for lust, pink for love, gold/yellow for money, green for good health. Yes it has to be your underwear, your clothes have to be white. IYKYK.

If you say “but green is for money!” I will smack you

You’re suppossed to clean the entire house the day before new years, from the back to the front, from upstairs to downstairs. Not on the 1st or, again, you’ll drive away the new blessings.

On the 1st do a blessing wash. NOT cleansing, blessing. NOT cleaning, think of it as anointing your home to bring in good things the new year.

The first person to enter the house on the new year has to be a man with big money on their pockets, and with their right foot first.

Eating beans to have a good work year or get a new job.

Waiting for the new year sitting under the table? for love? I know it’s weird but there’s people who swear by it.

Carrying a suitcase with you if you want to travel that year.

Burning something that represents the old year to get rid of the evil spirits and problems of the past, like the used calendar, or a even doll.
