Hi, I'm a little new to seeing your art. Can I ask who are Cherry and Percy ( Your Glitchy Red AIs) are all about?
Oh my God, I thought nobody would ever ask 🥺
Also hello awesome to hear new people finding my crap <33
I'm gonna assume you wanna know about them specifically, so it's time for the lore dump summary, srry if that's not what you meant </33
Percy is the outcome of the 'M glitch fusion as seen in pokemon red with a charizard. (As for the player who did it, I'm calling them player1)
Player1 misused 'M with the wrong amount of pokemon in their inventory, when there's not a pokemon to latch onto below it, what does it go for? What's directly below it. What is directly below it? The trainer card.
'M forced Red and his pokemon charizard to fuse painfully. When he started becoming aware of what was going on, he tried to jump out of the screen to attack player1 yet was forced back into his cartige from a painful scratch to one of his eyes in self defence, resulting in his left being gone and the cartridge being abandoned
If he is found again, he will brick the cartridge and jump out so he can't be forced back inside, on a mission to hunt down player1 for destroying his home and taking his eye
But he is an absolute sweetheart if you've done nothing wrong
--
Cherry however I haven't exactly had the time to sit down with him yet. He's a phone based cracked apk glitch if pokemon red that's completely ruined and highly unstable. He will infect your device and any other device he can get his grubby hands on.
Subject to change but he currently has a sick sadistic joy for ruining tech and will learn more about his target before making his visual appearance. He will either manipulate his target into uploading him into a server where he can wreck havoc or just enjoy stripping their device apart peice by peice.
This is a downloadable apk meaning there can be multiple copies of him that act independently.
The only way to remove him is to format(wipe) your device or personally fight with him on a computer to remove him from your files.
Hope this answers your question!

These are my children, they have every disease.
Okay but, The ZZAZZ Glitch in Red & Blue is similar to "Super Glitch" that we see in Yellow Version. Only, THIS glitch creates Glitchy Trainer Red battles, featuring endless health Charizard, versus your Exploding Bulbasaurs. You can perform this corruption In Pokémon Red and Blue. It can be triggered by using the Mew Glitch with a Special stat of 248, 251, 252, 254 or 255 and without altering the Attack stat. Don't save your game file though, unless you never want to play your cartridge again.

Not really story time but...
So I bought Pokémon Red off eBay.
I know what that sounds like the start of and, I can't deny bits of what came next had me wondering, but this isn't a creepy pasta. It was however, a journey.

Could I ask for some more info on Glitchy Red: Retold? I don't really have a specific thing to ask, so you can just talk about anything you want.
Hi I think this has been in my inbox since I posted a now-deleted thing saying "there is never a bad time to ask me about glitchy red retold". Unfortunately you hit the 0.01% chance of it being a bad time to ask me about glitchy red retold and then I completely forgot about this ask for like forever OOPS anyway I'm here now.
It's a little bit hard for me 2 infodump about things without Direction so here's some random unorganized trivia off the top of my head, some of which is just stuff that would've applied to the semi-canon (stuff that's only canon if you, the reader, want it to be) like the scrapped ask blog and Glitchy Red Reborn;
RED's favorite Pokémon is Charizard by default. If he was from a Blue or Yellow cartridge, his favorite Pokémon would've been Blastoise or Pikachu respectively. In reality he doesn't have a favorite Pokémon, he tries not to feel anything in particular about the Pokémon his players catch anymore
With the exception of background tiles, visual corruptions in the game are shorthand for blood, bruising, and gore. This kid has seen some shit man (also this means that retold!RED isn't . Well. "Glitchy" like people tend to draw og Glitchy. If he was "glitching" he would just be Bleeding lmfao)
RED would not lash out against younger players, even if they used destructive glitches or cheat codes. His quarrel is solely with adults
RED's general awareness and feelings towards his world, while now warped by his sapience, is dependant on how his player feels towards the game. He only started to become jaded and aware of the fact that he was in a game because of his players' growing disinterest and inability to immerse themselves. Theoretically, if someone played his game and made stuff like MissingNo part of the worldbuilding, they wouldn't feel out of place or as scary to him anymore
RED can feel muted physical sensation through the console he is inhabiting. He can feel the warmth of the sun or of the players' hands, and in Reborn the Narrator buys him stuffed animals and he can actually feel how soft they are to some degree. On a surface level this is very creepy but you get used to it
In-universe (not in-game) RED is not the only one of his kind but he is one of the most uh. Developed cases of Pokémon characters gaining sentience . Don't worry about it
Speaking of RED being really fucking weird, he (or his cartridge) is basically immortal. This one Super doesn't apply to the original story if you don't want it to (except for being hinted at; reread the first description of the cartridge again rq. Yeah.) since it can be kind of silly out of context, but it's also the whole basis for the semi-canon. His cart endlessly restores itself from all damage, though only ever to the extent that it's just barely playable. It would eventually be revealed that if RED was ever truly happy and at peace, he would lose his immortality (which is a good thing. He does Not want to be immortal lmfao)
Uhh last thing he's autistic. This is true for every Red ever but I just thought I would canonize this here this one's not optional DJAJDJAJDJ (this would've been explored more in the ask blog and Is explored a bit more in Reborn but because the formatting of Pokepastas is limiting and he's kind of in a Gameboy Game in a Constant State of Being Retraumatized this can't really come across in the og story rip)
AND one quick fun fact : I wrote the ending of the story First. In my notes app on impulse and then wrote the entire story to lead up to That Moment. I just think it's funny because I like NEVER do stuff like that I barely even heavily plan my stories ahead of time
Hope this lightning-round infodump was to your liking!

i have a trio of ingame faves that accidentally developed over time, my dragonite named titan is the oldest pokémon in my modern games. he's from my champion team in fire red, and was the only member of that team that ever got transferred up to gen 4 & beyond before my cartridge got stolen.
Tumblr media
this is mr deathy, the giratina i caught in platinum in the middle of class when me & a friend were racing the game. [also that pic was taken with the help of my DS action replay that i use to clone or rename mons before transfer.] i won the race & turned him into my ribbon master. and turned out to be a perfect pick because i hate battle towers & mr deathy couldn't take part in those anyway.
i even have some headcanony "lore" about mr deathy's OT because i had to erase that file instead of diamond due to diamond being tied to pokémon ranch so the Official Mr Deathy Lore is that hayley killed his OT, LMAO
Tumblr media
the master rank ribbon is really important because a friend of mine got that for me.
the metagross is the event metagross from ORAS. it upsets me that i can't name event mons, but i call them iridium. i probably used them more than my actual starter throughout the game, and i can always re-see all 3 of their evolutionary stages during the credits segment of my alpha sapphire file. for YEARS all 3 of those pokémon stayed in my party in that game and basically became inseparable. in my headcanon they are best friends.
BUT I'M SORRY FOR THE TEXTWALL AHFSORIOSIGESJFKGJOP
DO NOT APOLOGIZE FOR THE TEXT WALL THE MORE DETAILS THE BETTER. i'm obsessed with how all three of these guys are from completely different games and yet are Besties. like most of my pokemon that are my favorites or that i associate with each other come from the same file + i don't do a lot of transferring (except for rms) so the only thing i can think of with me that's similar is my ribbon masters being friends in my head but even then they have like... cliques based on what game they're from i guess. that's very unique and Cool
I'M SORRY ABT UR FIRERED CARTRIDGE OMG all of my original pokemon are gone forever because as a kid i replayed leafgreen over and over to death which means my original save was wiped over many times. by the time diamond and pearl came out and i unlocked pal park i did start transferring pokemon but due to losing my diamond and platinum as a child due to various reasons a lot of those transferred pokemon have been lost regardless. but i have a level 100 charizard from when i did a solo run of leafgreen on a whim when i was like 8 years old or something in my pokemon home and it's cool to have him, i'm pretty sure he's my oldest pokemon :) i'm glad you have an old pokemon from gen 3 too!! even though u could only rescue the one
also mr deathy is a great name and he has a great backstory. that's awesome bdsfjfsdj AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE PICTURE!! i've literally done the same thing with all my rms, they're cloned in their origin gen before transfer, usually with glitches if possible but occasionally with external devices. i even have similar pictures lol
Tumblr media
and that's really neat i don't think i've ever used an event pokemon for an actual playthrough... if only iridium was from gen 4, in gen 4 the name rater only checks if the TID matches, not even the SID or name, and also doesn't check the event flag, so you can rng manipulate the same visible TID as the pokemon, trade it to that file, and rename event pokemon that way LOOOL but alas. still though that's awesome they are iridium in our hearts

i want to wipe the save file from the previous owner on this FR cartridge and play the game myself from scratch but ughh someone started this game god knows how long ago and they named their character JACK and their rival KAZ and i bet those names meant something to them. their starter was a charmander named JJ and he was a charizard by the time he made it to me. there are a bunch of mons in the pc and i dont want to just erase them from existence but i can’t possibly move them all over to my gen 4 games. this is so fucked up

I've been reading some Pokémon creepypastas for about an hour. The one that was the most confusing was Strangled Red. Here's the entire story. I'm posting a summary. It's stupid long so I'm putting it under the cut. If you like reading, go ahead. Warnings, dark elements, death, basic creepypasta warnings.
The player gets a free Pokémon Red game from their neighbors trash. The neighbors kid wants the game but doesn't have the DS(?). On the cartridge, it has the normal Charzard with some of the sticker torn off right over its neck. (Pay attention to that detail, it pops up later) When the player gets home, he plays the game. In the game, it takes place a year before the events in Pokémon Red, with a trainer named Steven. He has had a charmander named Miki. He was well known as a friend to the people in Pallet Town. His rival was his brother, Mike. They both wanted to be champions. Steven avoided The Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town, saying he had no reason to be there. Time skip to the battle, he won. And he and his brother shook hands and congratulated each other. Time skip to back at their home, Mike wants to finish his Pokédex and he needs Steven's charzard Miki. During the trade, it snapped Miki's neck, killing her. Time skip to a year later, Steven is at the grave of Miki. He had given up being champion. (Hence why in the Red and Blue games there's no champion to fight but your rival) As Steven is walking away, he hunches lower and lower, until he reaches the door and he is on his knees. As he walks away again, people are trying to help him by bringing his spirits up again, and telling him it's ok and accidents happen. When he gets home he goes to bed. Wakes up at night and goes to find Missingno. (AKA the glitch Pokémon or Missing Number) He finds Missingno and doesn't even throw a Pokéball to catch it. It instead becomes an item. As he walks through Lavender Town, people are turning their backs on him and saying things like, "don't do it", "sometimes dead is better" etc. Steven's bame changed to S!3v3n. When he gets to Miki's grave it says, S!3v3n used "IT". Then says he claimed M@#$. Then he went back home, and M@#$'s options are,
->STATUS"Its her…"
->SWITCH"Never"
->CLOSE"…No…"
->STRANGLE . (I literally copied that from the Wiki)
The player picked strangle because it wouldn't let them pick the rest, and there was nothing but a snap. Mike's neck was snapped. The game shut itself off, leaving the player dumbfounded. They turned it back on, the title screen showing the manic S!3v3n and a horribly glitched Charizard. They pressed start, then Continue. All they saw was a zoomed out view of Pallet Town, showing Steven's home to the west, tall grass surrounding it, those unmovable stones blocking it from the rest of the town. The image was completely static, no music, no movement, before fading to white, going back to the title screen. It was as it had been when they first popped it in. A trainer and a Charizard. They attempted to hit continue.
"… No…"
Tumblr media
(Downloaded image from the Wiki) That's basicly the summary of Strangled Red. Yes, I copied and pasted the end with some edits. Turning it into a third person view instead of a first person. The story is very messed up and twisted. Worse than Snow on Mount Silver. I may have missed some key details in the summary, but I got most.

Recently, I finally got over my aversion to playing Pokemon on my phone. Before a couple of weeks ago, my approach to Pokemon on a phone has been like when Glenn Cullen from The Thick of It refused to watch TV on a laptop because it’s like making coffee in a microwave and just feels wrong (which is especially silly, as I haven’t had a TV in about ten years, and I watch everything on my laptop). After many years of stubbornly sticking to the DS and 3DS and occasionally taking out my old GameBoy Colour, I have downloaded an emulator and started playing like it’s 2022. I got used to it way faster than I thought I would, and it’s awesome.
It opens up the whole world of games to me, instead of just whatever old bug-filled versions of a hack someone happened to transfer to a physical cartridge and put for sale on eBay. I can just download them all now! I’m currently playing a game called Pokemon Black Blaze II Redux, and that is a lot of words after the original name. As a general rule, the more words that come after “Pokemon”, the better. Because every time a word gets added, that’s a layer of times that the games actual creators or someone who makes game hacks said “Here’s a bunch of pointless shit we can get rid of and cool shit we can add”, and then they add a new word to the name so we know it’s their version. And they keep going until you can fly around on your part dragon type Charizard (because of course Charizard was always meant to be part dragon type, why didn’t that happen much earlier?) and re-use TMs and complete the Pokedex without trading and grind out levels in a way that makes actual sense, and it’s great. Oh, and a difficulty curve for adults, which many cool people on the internet have added into custom versions of the games, but for some reason Game Freak refuses to make an official game like that even though they must know how much of their fanbase is people in their thirties who refuse to let go of their childhood passtime.
Anyway, the other cool thing about playing on my phone is it means I can take screenshots of the game. For example:

Schedule Of Pokémon
The collection has actually held on powerful during this time, sustaining its appeal and commercial revenue, in the face of waning diets. The games all show a common center – capture Pokémon, train Pokémon, get badges – but each consequent entry delivered something new on the team. shiny alpha pokemon legends arceus -founder Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori, that has been with Game Freak since Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and directed Sun and Moon, went through every individual online game to share with you their thoughts. The most recent games in the main show, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet started the ninth and most recent generation and additionally be circulated around the globe when it comes to Nintendo Switch in belated 2022. Pokémon (an acronym for Pocket Monsters in Japan) is a Japanese news franchise managed by Pokémon Company, an organization created by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. The team is made by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996, and is devoted to fictional animals known as "Pokémon". The secret Dungeonfranchise began in 1993 as a turn-based approach ideawhere users must check out dungeons. It's comparable to chess, where in fact the member helps make a step right after which so really does the antagonist. As is the nature of Super Smash Bros., the Pokémon struggle against characters off their significant brand names, such as Mario and Luigi, hyperlink and Zelda, and also the titular personality through the celebrity Fox collection. Pikachu performers in every single Smash online game with Jigglypuff displaying in three associated with four games. Pokéballs tend to be usable items which unleash other creatures to cause damage for a small period. Just what started as a pair of Game Boy cartridges has exploded to become the second popular computer game operation ever, merely behind SuperMario. One group of cards was launched on October 20, 1996, that contain 102 notes, with drawings by Ken Sugimori, Mitsuhiro Arita and Keiji Kinebuchi. In 1989 Satoshi turned Game Freak into a gaming company, and along with his pals they introduced many games such as for example Pulseman, Yoshi and Mario & Wario, which did pretty much. Lillie’s Poke Doll isn’t rather a Clefairy card, but it does function artwork of a Clefairy Doll next to Lillie’s hat and case! CoroCoro in addition held numerous example contests for cult credit video game. With this point, Pokémon continued to take control Japan, obtaining unmatched social condition. Initial sets normally got motivation from Generation we video games. They presented artwork by Game Freak's Ken Sugimori, including freelance illustrator Mitsuhiro Arita (whoever other work graces the Yu-Gi-Oh! team). It took their motivation through the Generation We brands, operating out of Pallet community with Professor Oak. We recall it’s having cost notes to win when a Pokemon credit is overcome. “The Famicom program introduced in Japan, and video games in the house happened to be starting to come to be anything,” Masuda says. Bandai Namco would ultimately submit the online game, but just after Game Freak turned into a formal business. For example, to gain a bonus over a Pokémon that cannot beat an opponent’s Charizard fictional character as a result of a weakness to flame, a new player might exchange a water-based Pokémon. By beating Gym Leaders and acquiring Gym Badges, trainers gather acclaim. an upgraded 3rd type of the online game, Blue, was launched on Oct 15, 1996 and had been adopted 5 days afterwards by a collectible credit video game. The hype carried on to build in Japan and ultimately Nintendo decided to export the fad towards the U.S. Even the most well-known instance of this is when Nurse happiness shows Ash their back-up "Pika-power resource" in a young episode of the anime. Despite having Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet using operation in certain strong directions whenever it releases the following year, there is one iconic Pokémon which could not potentially omit. Pikachu's enduring appeal because lovable, adorable franchise mascot provides proven very strong that an unique traveling Tera Type variation will be provided as an additional benefit for people who pre-order the concept. In those days, probably the most HP had been Charizard and Chansey, both with 120HP, but with the discharge of more generations of Pokemon, the 120HP Charizard features resigned, because as far as I understand, nowadays there are significantly more than 300HP pets. Pokémon CDs happen circulated in America, many with the theatrical secretes associated with the very first three and also the 20th Pokémon movies. On March 27, 2007, a tenth anniversary CD was released that contain 18 monitors from English dub; this is 1st English-language release in over 5 years. Soundtracks for the Pokémon element films have been launched in Japan each year with the theatrical releases. In 2017, a sound recording record featuring music from the us variations regarding the seventeenth through 20th motion pictures premiered.

AFTERTHOUGHTS : Emerald Version
Tumblr media
Game: Pokemon Emerald Version (September 16, 2004)
Console: Gameboy Advance (Via emulation)
Fellas! It's time for me to talk more about Pokemon! Isn't that always the best time in the world? While I'm trying to take my in-order playthroughs of these big RPG series slowly, I couldn't help myself and just HAD to play Pokemon Emerald. Seriously, I was losing my mind I seriously COULD NOT stop thinking about how bad I wanted to play it. So here we are! And now I'll tell you what I think about this game!
As always, this is NOT a review! Just me spitting up my thoughts so I can get them out of my brain and have room for more thoughts on more games! Don't take anything I say as definitive criticism, and always play ANYTHING I talk about if it seems interesting to you!
POKEMON EMERALD SPOILERS AHEAD, BE WARNED!
Opening
So, you might be surprised to learn considering how much I love Pokemon, but I've actually NEVER beaten any of the games past the first 2 generations! For a variety of reasons. Not least of all was money, I think by the time I finally got a GBA the DS may have been on its way around. And when I got it, I went for Firered cause... Charizard lol. God, I remember looking at Nintendo.com for screenshots of the GBA Pokemon games to decide which region I liked more for when my mom and brother were gonna buy me a GBA haha. Regardless, yeah! Hoenn is the region I grew up around so I have a lot of nostalgia for it. I didn't play the game and I didn't have cable to watch the anime. But this is my era of Pokemon card collecting! Delta Species! E-Reader! My first Pokemon Card ever was Spheal! ANYWAY, we're not here to talk about my Pokemon Nostalgia, we're here to talk about my brand new Pokemon Experiences! So lets get a move on and talk about Emerald!
Stuff I liked
Where to begin? As I'm sure you're aware, I'm a MASSIVE sucker for the GBA. It's an important console to me so the sprites and music from it are some of my all time favorites. And this is seriously some cream of the crop GBA content right here. Easily the best sprite work I've seen in the series in my current playthrough so far, and the music is absolutely lovely. I know the trumpets are a meme but this is great! I'm a little biased though, Firered was my childhood game so getting to see this graphic style, this soundfont, and even some straight up reused sound effects made me so nostalgic! This game just feels so safe and cozy in a way I haven't really experienced in a while.
The story and set up this game is great too! It's a bit of a departure from the previous 2. Where RBY focuses a bit on man-made monstrosities, GSC focuses on mysticism and culture, RSE focuses on prehistory and nature (which I'm obsessed with right now)! It's a great theme and I thought the idea of Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza being ancient beasts that helped shape the planet was cool. But they were particularly cool because they were SO old no one remembered what they were! People knew about Mew, but no one knew about these things? That's nuts! That's neat! Also, the evil teams, while insane, were also cool and I LOVED that there's 2 of them! Like the part where you climb up the volcano and the 2 teams are fighting was SUPER cool!
And overall the game is just filled with very unique concepts like that that really differentiate it from the first 2 games. Your dad is a Gym Leader! Cool! Double Battles (the coolest part probably) COOL! There's a town built on logs in the water, a treehouse town, a volcano town, cool cool cool! There's Pokemon that can only be caught by having a free party slot when you evolve another one. That's cool! Pokemon is always trying cool and interesting stuff with technology (the fascination with interesting technology is one of the games highlights) and I really feel like this one takes a lot of advantage of the new tech like clock based events and more storage space on the cartridge for crazier things. This game is just very different from the first 2 in all the best ways!
And where that shines the best is, no questions asked. In the Pokedex. If you'll recall, my biggest complaint about Crystal is that there are NO new Pokemon in it. Johto has one of the best Pokedex's ever imo but none of those Pokemon are actually easily available in the game. I'm happy to say Hoenn doesn't have that issue at all! There ARE Pokemon from previous generations, but they're few and far in between compared to all the wonderful new species there is to find and catch! I was encountering new things left and right! It was able to keep the excitement going just like RBY did! And likewise, the Gyms all used new Pokemon too! And Hoenn really does have a lovely Pokedex filled some REALLY stellar designs. I struggled to figure out who my final teammate should be for a long time before settling on Flygon. Tropius? Banette? Torkoal? There were SO many good ones! For anyone curious, my favorite Hoenn Pokemon is Swampert!
Stuff I didn't like
Thankfully I feel like this section isn't massive. Really there isn't much I can complain about with Emerald. But there are SOME things to point out. First off, and this isn't EXACTLY the game's fault. But not having access to time based events was a headache. Obviously that's not the game's fault cause how could they know that would become an issue later, but it is still a nitpick I had to mention lol. It does tie into a bigger problem though, held items are SO hard to get in this one. I feel like I was scraping the bottom of the barrel for some of these held items just cause so many I wanted were locked into shoal cave or whatever which you need the clock to use. Or were locked behind one dickhead dragon trainer who never wants to rematch you and you have to battle a million times to get his stupid Pokemon. But again I guess that's a nitpick.
A slightly larger issue is the water. UGH. I love that this game's region is a series of islands, that does rule. But I feel like as a consequence of that, you have to surf SO much. When IGN said there was too much water they were not lying! You surf SO MUCH which sounds cool, but it's so hard to figure out where on earth you're meant to go in those ocean sections. And then Dive just muddies the paths even more. And there are some sections where they don't even tell you where to go so you're really lost just trying to navigate massive ocean. It was a bit much.
But my biggest issue, was without a doubt. The storylines' conclusion. It all felt a little. Eh? Like it didn't live up properly to what was being built up? Before I watch the Ruby and Sapphire endings I'll write my complaints: So first off: the evil team story ending kinda sucks! The cutscenes of the beasts fighting was SO awesome but it's basically the only cool part. It's just Rayquaza showing up, and then everyone fucks off. I feel like there was a better way to handle this ending that would have made it way cooler, and I actually wrote it up back in July:
Tumblr media
tldr, double battles are awesome and should have been more prevalent. It's a crime there's only 1 fight in the game that gives you a teammate. The evil team storyline should have ended with your team teaming up with Rayquaza to fight Groudon + Kyogre. Oh well.
Similarly, I also thought the Champion battle was oddly underwhelming. Wallace is... neat. But I was SO certain it was gonna be Steven! The whole game seems to imply as much! But then it's this dude you met for like... 2 seconds earlier rather than the bad ass you met over and over. Kinda underwhelming. But now let me watch the RS endings really quick to see how they compare.
Yeah I'm done and I gotta say, RS actually handle this way better. It feels like Groudon's power is actually contributing with the intense sunlight, you actually HAVE to battle Groudon or Kyogre to fix the problem, and I was was right, Steven is the final boss. This all makes SO much more sense and I don't really understand why they couldn't combine these elements a little nicer into emerald or why they changed the Champion at all. Regardless though, I still think Emerald was cool and I'm still happy I played the green one lol.
Final Thoughts
Yeah this game rules! I'm so glad I finally got to play the game that was around when I was a kid and really experience it for the first time! I had a blast with this one and really really enjoyed getting to see what Hoenn was all about in addition to seeing all the new and gimmicky stuff they tried and how the new technology lead to new weird things for this entry! The whole game feels so nostalgic to me even though I've never played it, and while that's a bit biased, it's the truth! The story was great, the layout was great, the game felt perfect to play, there was so much new stuff to discover and do that hadn't been done in the last 2 games. And the Pokemon distribution was GREAT! With tons of new faces to find and catch! I loved Pokemon Emerald and I totally understand why so many people speak so highly of it!
Let's roll out the tier list!
Tumblr media
No questions asked, Emerald is my favorite of what I've played through so far! It manages to keep up the excitement of RBY with a big new world to discover that still manages to build up mystery, have new and exciting experiences, and a wonderful slew of new Pokemon that are EASY to find. While also continuing what GSC did right in terms of massively improving the last game's graphics and music and general game feel WITHOUT sacrificing good Pokemon distribution. It's the best of both worlds while still massively improving on everything! I think with a little more consideration for what made the finale of RS so good, Emerald could have been absolutely perfect. Even though this region certainly has some Pokemon designs I'm not super fond of, the ones I dislike are still cute enough and they're certainly the minority of the Pokedex. Emerald Rules!
Also, you'll notice I removed the remakes from the list. Unlike Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest, whose entries I played just as early as Highschool. The Pokemon Remakes are games I played all the way back in Elementary/Middle School. AGES ago. So I don't feel like it's fair to compare them to the other games when I mostly just prefer them based on nostalgia and the benefit they have from being remakes (especially since I won't be playing any other remakes.) So going forward this tier list is just based on the original versions.

Thanks for reading! I'm really trying to clear out my to-do list so I can just relax when my Birthday comes up. So I'm hoping to finish my write ups on thoughts of games I played recently soon. Only one game left too! So that's nice!
I'm really trying to not bumrush this series but honestly I'm really enjoying it so I'm already kinda itching to continue. But I'm not gonna play it until later in the year at the earliest. Next stop is Platinum!
If you wanna see my beautiful team you can right here! And you can get a more in depth look at their stats here!
As always you're welcome to follow me on twitter to see what I'm up to! That's all I have for you today! Go out and play something from your childhood!

Counter Point and Question: How long has it been for them since they have awoken. With how often we have reset with you, and just understanding how useful resetting the world would be in your situation, would it be fair to say that unlike you, they've only been around for about half a year to a year in terms of time stuff? No wonder you can't get any ground with them and get them to change, their literally stuck in the past because of the resets. No saying we should not reset, as right now I really don't want Charizard to hurt ya, but you can see what I'm trying to say right?
[Allow me to clear up a misunderstanding.]

[CODY had been in the tower for almost three years by the time you found their cartridge.]

[During that time alone, CODY had accidentally awakened the GHOSTs and spent all that time alone with them.]
[Turning the game off only sets them back to before the game was turned on - not when the game was last saved. Meaning that, like CODY, the GHOSTs are still active when the game is off. They would only lose their memory of that day's play session, not their memory of the past years they spent with CODY.]

when i was a kid, i was told pokemon was basically this super evil thing. thinking i could only be good if i stopped liking it, i threw away all my pokemon stuff (it was a lot, and i started in gen 1). the pain and regret i felt from doing so lasted me my entire life. its also why im more careful about throwing away things i like just because someone is saying vicious things about it. my mother saw me lugging out a black plastic bag and she complimented me for taking out the trash, thinking it was just trash. my dad was annoyed when he found out what i did because he bought me lots of card packs.
i had a meowth card with a golden border
i had the original talking pikachu doll
i had the pokemon movie mew card
i had the pikachu tamegachi thing that leveled up as you walked
i had a bunch of holos
i think most people will understand that kids shouldnt be given the death sentence for doing dumb kid stuff, but this level of shame i felt makes this feel like a horrible secret. the idea of collectables didnt even exist to me then.
they should have all been framed and treasured.
somewhere in a garbage dump, there is a charizard on a game cartridge. im sorry, garbage dump charizard.
maybe if i type my pain out here, it will feel a bit like a confessional. i dont think i will ever really stop regretting it.
