All My Roads Lead Back to You Part 1

Hello, my beautiful readers! I should be working on “If I Rescue You, Will You Rescue Me, Too?” and that was the intent yesterday I swear. But I wanted to sit down and flesh out the first part of my “Eddie and Steve reconnect after years apart because their kids are in a rock band together AU”. Only I went from 680 words to 6020 words over the course of the day.

So um...yeah. I’m still working on “Rescue” but since I have so much of this ready, you’re going to get this for the next couple of days.

Just a couple of things, you can find the original idea for this on my Master List, but I don’t recommend reading it before this, because it makes the story a little less fun. The other thing is that in case it wasn’t clear enough the first part are all newspaper headlines.

Steve was a man of few regrets in his life. He had a job he enjoyed, a daughter he loved more than life, and close friends he could count on. One of his biggest regrets, though? Losing track of Eddie after Corroded Coffin’s bassist Brian Martin died in a tour bus rollover in Europe on their first world tour.

He knew that Robin and Dustin and probably some of the rest of the Party still kept in contact with Eddie, but after Steve was forced to miss Brian’s funeral...he wasn’t sure Eddie wanted him to contact him. So despite Dustin’s greatest efforts their lives remained separate.

“Hey, Dad!” Edith called from the kitchen.

Steve sighed into the bedroom mirror. He patted his hair down to hide the hearing aid. “Coming!”

He trotted out, grabbing his keys and wallet as he did so. His daughter was sitting at the counter happily munching on her cereal. Steve grinned when he saw her. She looked nothing like her mother, a fact Addison loathed. Edith had brown eyes and light brown hair with freckles, just like Steve.

“We finally have a new guitarist,” she said happily when she saw him. “But because we can’t have it at Lauren’s anymore...”

Steve sighed. “You want to use my garage as your studio?”

Edith grinned. “Pleaseee...”

Steve closed his eyes and opened them slowly to see her giving him the biggest pair of puppy dog eyes.

“All right,” he said. She started squealing and jumping for joy. “Only one day a week and if I have a migraine...”

She sighed, “We’ll keep it down.”

Steve ruffled her hair.

“Ugh...” she moaned. “It’s a good thing I don’t spend hours on my hair like you otherwise, I’d be really upset.”

Steve laughed. “Uncle Dusty keeps telling me it’s a miracle it hasn’t all fallen out yet.”

Edith smiled softly at him, before reaching up and gently tucking a lock of hair behind his left ear. “You’re the face of S&D, Dad. It’s not a crime to show off the goods.”

He ducked his head and blushed. “I know I wouldn’t be where I am without it but it chafes, you know.”

“You’re the father a seventeen year old girl,” Edith said with a wink, “I think you’re allowed to have a hearing aid.”

Steve sighed, too. “It just makes me feel older than I am.”

Edith shrugged. “You’re already old, so what’s a few more years difference?”

Steve raised his eyebrow and she squealed as he lunged for her. He kept up swimming and had taken up running. Edith on the other hand? She loathed sports. She claimed on more than one occasion that if anyone saw her running, they best start running too, because there was something chasing her.

A joke that didn’t go well with her dad or any of his friends for some reason she wasn’t privy to.

So she was an easy catch and he tickled her.

“No!” Edith huffed. “I’m too old for tickles!”

Steve stopped and cocked his head at her. “I still tickle Aunt Robin so...invalid argument.” And went back to tickling her.

Once she was gasping for breath, Steve let her up. “Now, Miss Thing, it’s time to get you to school.”

“Ugh...” she said, going to grab her backpack. “I hate school. Why can’t I just drop out?”

Steve raised an eyebrow. “Because last time I checked, I didn’t raise a quitter. And you only have a couple months left of this year and all of next.”

“I hate being a September baby,” she huffed dramatically. “I’m older than most of my class.”

He pulled her close and kissed her forehead. “You can blame your mom for that one.”

Edith smiled gratefully up at her dad. “It’s nice to have a scapegoat for all one’s ills in life.”

Steve laughed. “Thank god, for Addison Reed.”

Edith had to admit that there were certain parts of school that she enjoyed. She loved history and art. She didn’t know if she got that from her mom, as she had seen her mother all of three times in her memory. The first nine months of her life didn’t count.

Addison Reed had showed up when she was three when S&D had finally made it big and wanted more money from Dad. Again when she turned eight and Addison had taken her out for ice cream to try and charm Edith into giving up information on Dad so she could wheedle even more money out of him. The final time and the time that upset Dad the most was when Addison turned up when Edith was twelve to try and convince her to move in with her, so she could live off the child support.

That was when Dad got a restraining order against her, and moved them to Indiana from California. Edith missed the warm sunny days and the beaches, but she knew why Dad had done it. If moving back to Indiana was the only thing that would keep the leech away, Edith would have suggested it herself.

The other parts of school she liked were her friends. Mandy Lawrence and Kenny Grant. They had been a quartet, but Lauren decided she was too cool for them at the beginning of the year and stopped talking to them.

It was whatever.

She had art today which was a blessing because math was a killer and it always made her depressed. There was another reason she liked art class. Because that’s where she met this boy.

No, no not like that. Edith Barbara Harrington was a lesbian thank you very much. No, for all the kid’s fluffy brown hair, dimples and doe-eyes, she was interested in his ability to absolutely shred on guitar. His dad was some famous producer or some shit.

She walked up to him and fist bumped him. “H-man!”

“Miss Thing!” he greeted back. “Talked to my dad, but he said no go. He’s got too many valuable instruments he doesn’t want us touching.”

Edith grinned. “Well you’re in luck because my dad said yes.”

“Hell yeah!”

“So after school, k?” she said and he nodded. “I’ll text you the address.”

“Awesome!”

Their teacher called out for them to sit down and they did so with a grumble.

Edith couldn’t wait for after school.

Progress Report (Sept. 20, 2023)

In an attempt to hold myself accountable, here are a few steps I've been making of late in regards to writing + the move over to Twine!

Half of the prologue is fully ported over. I completely forgot how many variables were involved with the MC origin choice, so I spent a few days streamlining that and making sure everything went smoothly.

Finally finished rewriting that Chapter 1 split and particularly the nitty gritty of the revamped spirit world section. I think this is the biggest change to the demo as a whole, so that will be fun to roll out.

I'm also writing out new character studies to familiarize myself with the slightly changed plot! Some of them are quite spoiler-y, but some of them are, perhaps, safe to release? |･ω･)

And finally, I've finally decided on a general UI layout for the game! And I come, bearing pictures! I am using Vahnya's first twine template, and I'm testing with both desktop browsers and mobile devices.

It's pretty simple, and I don't plan to add much else to it, but do let me know if there's an issue with readability or comfort. There are options to change font-type and size in the settings as well.

Keep in mind though that I'm still mainly focused on porting the writing over, first and foremost, so I may be slow on implementing/showing prototypes of any feedback ^^;

Gerard Way: ["Vampires Will Never Hurt You"] will always be my favorite recording of the band, because it was the first. Having little money, or for that matter the songs, to complete a full-length album, we hopped in a van and headed to Nada Studios.

["Vampires Will Never Hurt You"]'s recording was so passionate that, despite being intended as a demo, My Chemical Romance decided that they should use it on the album. It would go on to become the central cog of the record they were about to make, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. It would be the album that launched their career.

[Alex Saavedra] gives a lot of the credit to the influential local DJ and scene stalwart the late Mario Comesanas. He used his Under the Stars slot on the South Orange, New Jersey college-radio station WSOU to air "Vampires" for the first time. Comesanas, who was also first to play Thursday on the radio, remembered the response was overwhelming. ‘The reaction was ridiculous – I knew that there was something special here,’ he said. ‘When we counted the requests, there was so much more for them than there was for any other band at that time.’

Frank Iero: I think the first time we really recognized the power of social media was right around the time Thursday was being signed, Midtown was signed. Basically, all our friends from Jersey and Long Island were getting record deals. And My Chem had really just started. We recorded one song because that’s all we had the money for at that point. And we put it up on Myspace immediately and were like, “Hey listen, we’re gonna do a record soon once we get the money. But this is like a sneak preview kind of thing,” and once we put that up, there were literally major label A&Rs calling the practice studio. How they got the number for the practice studio, I have no idea.

Frank Iero: This is just something we figured out like... last week when I was hanging out with everybody. The first song we ever wrote and put out on the internet, like, our first single was a song called "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" and it was a song we wrote at the practice studio and recorded and put it out. And we were like, "If people like it, then... they'll let us know through this song and we'll get enough money that we can record," right? So that's what we did. That song was six minutes long. And the last song we put out ["The Foundations of Decay"] is six minutes long. Kinda crazy.

STORM

Gerard Way, about recording "Vampires": We started moving the drums out to the van and I was surprised to see what it looked like outside. The sky had become dark blue and jet black and the wind was so strong we thought Mikey was going to blow away. Trees were whipping around and a huge storm was rolling in, but it was strangely warm and felt very comforting. Then I knew my vocals were going to come out just the way I wanted, I could feel this weird excitement.

SWARM

What's all this nonsense about bats??? The band likes bats. Who doesn't? If you've seen the band live you might have heard Gerard mention something about turning into one or unleashing some sort of swarm of them. "Unleash the fucking bats" is something they say to each other seconds before starting the set to get themselves pumped up. This all started back in Jan '02 when the band finally came together and started playing together with an intensity none of them had ever known. That fateful night they rocked together so hard that a "rock portal" opened up and out flew a swarm of giant bats. No shit.

Some rumours I have heard is that you guys like Bats, what's the fascination with them, is it the Will Haven song BATS, or you just like the species? Gerard Way: Haha...the whole bat thing came about at an early practice when Mikey joined and we finally gelled. Our energy just came together and a giant heavy metal vortex opened up and out flew a swarm of bats. We all saw it. It was like an awakening. After that we accepted bats into our lives. It was also while we were playing "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" so it probably had alot to do with that.

So, the whole vampires, bats, bloody stuff. Where did that all come from? Gerard Way: I probably haven’t ever said this in an interview, but the whole “unleash the bats” thing came from a Birthday Party song called “Release The Bats.” [...] The whole vampire thing [came up when I thought], “Man, nobody writes songs about vampires. How cool would it be?” I thought it was kind of risky or ballsy to play a rock song or a hardcore song that was about vampires.

Oh my god, how are they gonna arrange the schedules? If Finn has Ghost Busters 2 then it means he's gonna be filming that for months, and what about the other schedules then 😅? I sometimes wonder if the show will just come out in 2025 bc of different schedules and bc the actors either have different projects or are busy with smth else

I know it's super disappointing, but it's very possible s5 won't premiere until 2025!

I answered an ask about this a while back, but basically if we're wanting s5 to be top notch quality, then settling for a s5 release in 2025 is what we're looking at.

Finn made the comment that he was looking forward to being able to drink with some of his cast-mates at the next premiere since he'll now be of age this time around, and he wont be 21 until December 2024... Unless they plan on premiering that literal month, the premiere probably wont be until the following year some time (early 2025).

Noah also made a comment about it when asked if it was coming out soon, and he basically just changed the subject saying that they're main priority is doing the story justice by ensuring it's all well done and satisfying.

Netflix has not come out to give a year for release yet and it's because they are probably pretty sure it will be 2025, but they know it's going to piss people off so they're going to wait a little bit before breaking the news.

Also just thinking about filming scheduling like you said, it takes a lot longer than it usually does for a number of reasons. I'm pretty sure s1 only needed like 6-7 months to film and only like 3-4 months for post-production. But the level of the story was so much less grand. We also had actors that had no experience and so therefore there wasn't much demand in trying to fit with their schedule bc they had no other work.

But now they're all A and B listers with crammed schedules.

We're talking 10+ months of filming and AT LEAST 8+ months of post-production. Best case scenario they would be ready for a premiere by DEC 2024 at the earliest! That gives them a lot of wiggle room assuming there could be delays and what not.

Remember they didn't finish filming for s4 until Sept. 2021, which means they needed about 8 or so months for post-production with the May 27th, 2022 premiere.

When we're talking about like major CGI dragon battles potentially, we're looking at the high end of the spectrum for time spent of VFX in post-production, so something close to what we saw for s4, more or less (about 8 months).

And then you have to think about all the planning that goes into the promotion and the advertising and contracts with products that is planned months/years in advance and that all rolling out to get people pumped.

Then there's also the fact that their choice of when to release it usually has to be sort of unique.

It has to premiere on a Friday, and it has to preferably be at at time that works best for Netflix in combination with all of their other releases.

There are no interesting Friday dates in late 2024... The most interesting date I can find is Friday March 21st, 2025, which would allow for the release to match up with the setting of the show (especially if we're circling back to birthdaygate and what happened in early s4 that was misconstrued bc of will's unreliable narrator arc).

Also... arguably we want a later release bc then it means we get to be here a little bit longer. Bc once this is over, it's over forever. The end!

ST5 in 2025 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, assuming that promotion for that season would start as early as late 2024 and also be really consistent leading up to it, followed by us getting it and having to, only to move on forever.

It's kind of sad thinking about it. I don't want to.

Also it's possible we could get split into two volumes again bc this is the end and they really want to milk the excitement of it. Having it premiere once and be done is only ensuring like one month of hype, whereas 2 volumes split up between a 2-3 month period ensure like 4 months of hype, and that's a good way to end things with a bang.

Maybe we'll get lucky with a vol one in late 2024 and a vol 1 in early 2025? We'll have to wait and see as we get closer!

All I know is it wont be 2026, so we can just rest knowing that's not a possibility... right?

Senior Year Madness

It all begins in the last month of your JUNIOR year in June...

they make you ALL excited because it was "going to be sooooo much easier than junior year" ..right?

WRONG.

but. u didn't know that then. so... u enter Senior year in Aug/Sept in that mindset.

then you're doing ok... that is until senioritis strikes BECAUSE of the "senior year is easy mentality"

....then your grades go down.

on top of that.. guess what. it's OCTOBER-NOVEMBER season.

....college applications abound!!!

..it all ends in November 30th...if all you apply to are public universities....

if private... that ends somewhere in january. if community college? u don't even have to worry about it till after graduation...i think.

anyhow. so i applied to public universities. and got done with all my applications on the last day of november.

cool right?

kinda. for me, anyhow.

some people.. who need higher SAT scores need to take the December SATs.... and sometimes the January ones too.

but I was lazy so.. I didn't. ..now I know I should have. but. oh well. that's life.

so... life continues. your 1st semester ends in DEATH. ..lol...well, close to it. at least mine did.

and u go on to 2nd semester.

then february comes and CSUs start giving their admission results.

..it seems EVERYONE got their SJSU admissions, but i still have no reply... guess that's how it is if you're financially disabled..yes. disabled. LOL.... [i finally got it in April..geesh, seriously? 2 months late? anyhow.]

so. end of february.... u get admission from one csu... but they request your 1st sem grade... of death.

..scared and confused.... u only send them your transcript without the 1st sem senior grade. and u complete your admission.

...but now u worry WHAT IF in July, when they see that grade of death they withdraw your "conditional admission" ?

...hmmm..oh well. that's life. so...you go and forget it for a while.

then March comes. and UC decisions are about. applied in 3? got in in 1... got in in the one that TOLD YOU they were gonna accept u EITHERWAY when u apply.

so. you're all happy and cool. right?

not really. because then your ENGLISH senior project kicks you in the chin and buries you alive for the next 30 days... until the 17th of April..when it's due.

yay. boo.

so. anyhow. back to the UC. you're happy and cool.

april ROLLS fast. with you digging your grave deeper and deeper EVERYDAY with all the tests [both high school and college].. and essays.. and projects.. and to top it all off... college pressure.

so. anyhow. you FINALLY manage to gather yourself and check your college things because the stress of senior project is done. right?

well. 'tis not done. college stress takes over.

so. u find out u need to update your grade in the UC website. the 1st sem grade. so u do... and u explain why you have the grade of death. and promise you'll do better.

so. FINALLY. cool, right? .....NOT.

coz then you have to decide on which college to say yes or no from...by May 1.

what's bad is you don't know what will happen if you say yes to the one that would reject you.

yet, u know u should start taking care of everything because u need to find the housing and stuff for the university.

TO TOP IT ALL OF.

April 21 -- English writing of some sort. Extra credit really. but you need it BECAUSE you want to cushion your grade JUST IN CASE your senior project will become the death of you in June at the day of the finals. oh. and math tutorial. yeah. takes time out of your sched too.

April 22 -- AP Bio test on ch. 43 AKA the test that would MAINTAIN your grade to a C....or doom it forever to a D... thus getting you rejected in the college. [cross your fingers now and PRAY i maintain the grade of get a higher grade or else....I WILL BREAK YOUR FINGER]

ahem.

anyhow.

April 23 -- Book report. Great.

April 24.. should just DIE. Why? hm..let's see. here are the following reasons: a) Trig/Precal test... aka the test that you should get an A or B on... or you get rejected in all colleges u apply to. end of story. great. how to get an A or B when you've never gotten a C? ...miracles happen i suppose? yes. they will. u will make sure of it. [again. cross your fingers... u know the drill]

b) AP Government Research Paper...that nobody wants to write ANYWAY. you and your classmates simply do not see the point. anyhow. it's supposed to be 6 pages long.. blah blah blah

c) AP Biology PRACTICE AP TEST ...not really a hassle. since it will only be for you and your benefit alone. but the fact remains IT WILL TAKE 5 hours of your time away from doing other work.

...April 25 then: 1) part 1 of your SUPER ASS LONG AP Gov test. it's ok..... won't kill u much.... won't make u bleed either.. but IT WILL TIRE YOUR BRAIN. and from all that activity the previous day? you're already dead anyway. 2) LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG trip to LA for a WEDDING. 6-7 hours. car trip. looooooooong. uncomfortable. looooooooong. 3) ...you'll probably sleep late because it's the 1st time in AGES u and your cousins spoke to each other

April 26... 1) u wake up early. as part of the wedding entourage.. u need to prepare. oh. and the wedding is at lunch time. great. the fact your hair is STRAIGHT and LONG.. and you need to CURL it. great. 2) after the wedding = party. most likely till night when u can no longer lift any part of your body due to your extreme fatigue. or when everyone around u starts puking coz they're drunk. yay. [well... maybe the latter was a BIT exagerated. anyhow]

April 27....sunday 1) u get back to your car in that looooooooooooong trip back to north cali. great. again. 2) u have a gov test the next day. oh great. yay.

..and it seems your suffering is over? ..yeah. to yourknowledge at the moment it seems.

well. until May 1st..anyway. or at least April 30th. wow. 3 days break only? you won't be able to revive yourself in time. and u know it.

so. April 30: you stress all day. thinking which college to say yes or no about. in the meantime, in school. ..panoramic pictures. yay. reminds u more of the impending college decision u have to do by midnight that same night.

May 1: u say yes. and say no. then u pray to god and all the saints to HEAR u. oh. and u get the cap and gown. yay. oh. and u need to sign up for that UC test.. if u said yes to the UC one.

so.

May 6th comes. = AP Gov test. the real one. cool. easy. but stressful nonetheless.

then May 10... 1) u WAKE UP EARLY. drag yourself to Los Altos and take the English writing test for the UC. just in case that it the one u said yes to. 2) the test will be over around 11:45. you'll be home by 12:3ish. 3) at some point. u call your friends. and u make plans. IF YOU DIDN'T ALREADY MAKE THEM. u better have though. so if your friends are reading this, they BETTER NOT PROCRASTINATE and help u more with your impending death. 4) prom. at 8. yay. another reason to make yourself a zombie. tired? very? well. who cares. it's a paaaaaaaaaaaaar-taaaaay. 5) oh. and u go home tired. and prolly late too.

...May 11. mother's day. u don't do anything coz you're a zombie in your deathbed remember?

May 12. AP BIO test. great. hopefully. u slept well last night. or your dead. your future depends on this test too. u better get a fucking five. oh. that rhymes.

then all is over....right? well. no. because u won't get your peace of mind because of the fact that it's international week. and the school will be loud all week. oh. and you're president of the french club. meaning u need to manage those crepes you guys will be selling. wow. good luck on that. just don't die..k? you're a bit young in my opinion.

ok. so. after that.. all stresses are gone. just anticipation really. and....lotsa sleep. u need it. u've been going at it for 3 weeks straight. surprise u haven't died yet.

so. last week of May. u go to your teachers. ask if you won't get the grade of death-- D-- in the end. if no.. then you're back in CSF. if not. well. fuck that shit. [coz that means you've ruined your future... at least till u think of a solution]

so.

if all went well. you're cool and happy and all. if not... well. u get snappy. then eventually u forget about it..right? well. we hope so. u can get pretty mean.....

anyhow.

1st week of June = finals. GAMBATTE!! <-- do your best

2nd week of June = rehearsals + beach day. ah. beach day. takes your mind off of things. yay. oh. and u graduate.

and pretty much. your stress returns. u fear for the college u said yes to. will they accept u? hopefully. they better. or you'll start packing and cross the ocean.

so. July 15 comes along. your grades are given top the college.

then if it's all good. u have more stress coz everything's changing and u need to arrange stuff. move out. all that.

if no. well. who knows. maybe a plane ticket. yeah.

and so....

if you're still alive by august. good job. you've survived senior year. you'll need the survival skills for college too.

if you've already died...well......... hopefully u come back to life at some point. but then naturally u do..u get over things rather easily after all.

A New Phase of Accelerated Decline

What is your opinion of America today?

Have you said (or heard anyone say), “The America I am living in today is not the America I grew up in?”

Have you said (or heard anyone say), “I believe America is headed in the wrong direction?”

What is your opinion of the global situation today?

Have you said (or heard anyone say), “The world is in a mess?”

Have you said (or heard anyone say), “The UN has done a wonderful job of solving the world’s problems for more than 70 years?”

Come to think of it, the UN (I call it the United Nothing) has done little, if anything, to solve the world’s problems.

I am aware that on Oct. 30, 2008, Pres. candidate Barack Obama said, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America,” and it seems to me that America is going through a fundamental transformation (a spiritual, moral, and economic downward spiral).

I am aware that in late Sept. 2015, the UN passed a document called “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” and UN Sec. Gen. Ban Ki-moon called it the “start of a new era.”

Considering that the fundamental transformation of America and the world was revealed before many of these fundamental changes started coming on the scene, it seems like the changes must be part of a plan.

Having said this, it is a little disturbing to know that UN Sec. Gen. Guterres thinks the fundamental transformation of the world needs to be speeded up.

It is even more disturbing to know that world leaders agreed with him on Sept. 18-19, 2023, and they voted to do everything they can to complete the fundamental transformation of the world by 2030 or sooner.

They are calling the next seven years “a new phase of accelerated progress.”

Have you got that?

They called the Sept. 2015 vote the “start of a new era,” and now, they are calling the Sept. 18-19 vote “a new phase of accelerated progress.”

Pardon me for being a skeptic, and I hope I am wrong, but I tend to believe the next seven years will turn out to be “a new phase of accelerated decline” (not accelerated progress).

Here are some recent articles that made the news this week.

One, on Sept. 29, 2023, World Net Daily (WND) posted a commentary by well-known author Craige McMillan that I believe is right on target (and full of hope).

According to McMillan:

“The real problem for the globalists rolling out a new World War, to bring forth their One-World Government out of the ashes, is that they are battling the Original Creator of the heavens and the earth for control of His Creation.”

“If you doubt the outcome of this globalist war against the Creator, go through the Bible and count the number of battles God has lost.”

“Arrogance before one’s Creator has only one possible outcome.”

“The globalists will not be left in control of anything.”

The entire “system that Satan has built for humanity is coming down.”

Two, concerning the coming global economic collapse: as I am writing this segment of my article on Sept. 30, 2023, the highly respected credit rating agency called Moody’s is warning that a government shutdown on Oct. 1, 2023, “could have dire consequences for the economy and stock markets.”

I am not an economic expert, but as I understand the situation, conservative Republicans blame America’s runaway national debt on excessive government spending, and many Democrats do not want to reign it in.

Conservative Republicans want the U.S.-Mexico border closed, and many Democrats do not want it closed.

America is a divided nation, and a nation divided against itself cannot stand.

America may be about to move into a new phase of accelerated decline.

(Update: On Sept. 30, 2023, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy caved, abandoned most of the major spending cuts conservative Republicans wanted, joined the Democrats, and agreed to a 45-day temporary funding bill to keep the government operating until Nov. 16, 2023. It is a crisis delayed, not a crisis solved, and the division in America continues.)

Three, on Sept. 18-23, 2023, the UN General Assembly met in New York, and the U.S. greatly criticized Israel for settlement construction on the West Bank and refusing to divide the Promised Land.

A record-breaking storm developed off the East Coast and dumped more than eight inches of rain on parts of New York on Sept. 28-29, 2023.

New York Gov. Hochul declared a state of emergency; flights were canceled; homes, streets and subways were flooded; and many people were stranded.

Four, concerning deceit and corruption in the mainstream media: in late Sept. 2023, it was reported that CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS and ABC were mocking or refusing to cover the Republican impeachment hearings on Pres. Biden.

This contrasts with the constant criticism of Trump and the wall-to-wall coverage they gave to the staged Democrat impeachment hearings of Trump.

I know that my reporting on this sounds politically motivated. My purpose is to show that the truth has been cast to the ground by the media, and the media’s dishonest reporting is contributing to the fact that America is in a new phase of decline.

Five, concerning world government and the decline of America: on Sept. 29, 2023, it was reported that the World Economic Forum (WEF) has taken control of several old U.S. military bases in Panama and is using them to assemble illegal immigrants for transport across the U.S. border with Mexico.

A picture was posted of the WEF flag flying over an old U.S. military base near the Panama Canal called Fort Clayton.

U.S. citizens paid to build the base, the U.S. flag has been taken down, the WEF flag is flying there, and the base is being used to send hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants across Biden’s open border.

(My opinion: The decline of America is being deliberately orchestrated to bring our nation into a one-world government. If this is not true, how is it that the WEF is sending thousands of illegal immigrants across our border without government knowledge and permission?)

Six, concerning the deliberate destruction of America’s Judeo-Christian values: on Oct. 2, 2023, it was reported that Cal. Gov. Gavin Newsom has appointed Laphonza Butler, a black lesbian, to replace the recently deceased Dianne Feinstein in the U.S. Senate.

Butler will be the first openly gay female senator in the history of California.

Seven, concerning a normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia: on Oct. 2, 2023, it was reported that Israeli and Saudi officials believe the Biden administration is hampering the deal.

Israeli and Saudi officials believe they are close to a deal, but the Biden administration continues to push for more concessions (more money for the PA, an independent U.S. consulate to serve the PA in Jerusalem, etc.) to the Palestinians that could cause everything to fall apart.

Biden just cannot stop telling Israel how to run the country.

Eight, concerning corruption, world government, and a population reduction on earth: on Sept. 13, 2023, two well-known medical professionals were asked to address the European Union Parliament about the so-called Covid-19 pandemic.

(Note: Concerning the recognition and credibility of these men, and because the globalist propaganda machine tries to discredit them, I want to re-emphasize that they were invited to address the EU Parliament.)

Among other things, Dr. Peter McCullough (cardiologist, professor, and author of many academic papers) suggested that:

The EU should stop Covid-19 inoculations and leave the WHO.

The WHO is part of a massive power grab to depopulate much of the earth and usher in what has been called the Great Reset– having a one-world government.

The mRNA shots are causing enormous waves of diseases.

The path forward is, clearly, for no one to take another shot – no one.

The COVID-19 vaccines and all of their progeny and future boosters are not safe for human use.

Among other things, Dr. David E. Martin (professor, researcher, and author of many publications) suggested that:

WHO officials and its supporters and donors have committed crimes against humanity and bio-terrorism.

Until we treat this as a criminal conspiracy of criminal racketeers, resulting in global terrorism for the purpose of profiteering and murder, until we have that conversation, we’re having the wrong conversation. We did not have a pandemic. We had a genocide.

Nine, following the Rapture of the Church, but during the Tribulation Period, a one-world religious system will exist that Jesus identified as Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth (Rev. 17:5).

The head of this harlot system (the Scriptures present the true Church as a good woman—the Bride of Christ—and the false religious system as a bad woman—the mother of harlots) will support global government and manipulate multitudes to support a government-approved antichrist religion (Rev. 17:2).

There are differences of opinion about the identity of the harlots, but I believe they are lost Church members (Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc.) that will be left behind after the Rapture and unite with other religions (Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc.) in a godless one-world religion.

Having said this, on Oct. 3, 2023, the LifeSiteNews staff posted a statement by Roman Catholic Archbishop Vigano that says or suggests (his words and mine):

> Pope Francis hid his intentions from those that elected him and used his authority to undermine the Church and make it the handmaid of the New World Order.

> The Throne of Peter (the chair of Peter, who, according to Catholics, was the first pope of the Church) is occupied by a person who abuses his power, using it for the opposite purpose to that for which Our Lord instituted it.

> Francis does and says things that are foreign to what is expected of a pope.

> In his ten years of papal service, Francis has done things that one would expect an apostate to do but not what one would expect a pope to do.

> His support for the globalist elite (the Clintons and others), his proud support for the 2030 Agenda (Ecumenism, ecology, vaccinism, immigrationism, LGBTQ+ and gender ideology, and other instances of the globalist religion), and his opposition and persecution of those who oppose these things show that he is a heretic and blatantly hostile to the Church.

(My Opinion: Some prophecy teachers think Pope Francis might be the False Prophet. I wonder about that because of his age and health. I do not see him hanging around for another seven years or more. However, I have profound respect for Archbishop Vigano and his willingness to speak out against Pope Francis. I think the same way he does about Francis.)

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

Best New Heavy Metal Releases Week of November 18th, 2022

The Heavy Metal train just keeps rolling and week after week with more and more great releases. I started doing this because I was so insanely annoyed with people that were absolutely insistent that nothing good had come out since 1992. I would contend that more of the albums being released now are hands down better than the “Glory Days”. What is being done today on a shoestring budget is simply stunning. So let’s look at a few of these stunning albums. Man, perfect segue…:)

Hellfuck-Diabolical Slaughter (Thrash/Speed)**{sept 9th}

I just came across this and although it was released on September 9th, I just had to put it on this list. If I would have heard this during the week of release, it would have made a serious push for the album of the week. If you even slightly like aggressive Thrash Metal this will put a huge smile on your face. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!

Candlemass-Sweet Evil Sun (Epic Doom)**

Does anyone today create Doom Metal as good as Candlemass can? I seriously doubt it. This is yet another gem from the Doom Metal masters.

Metalian-Beyond the Wall (Heavy/Speed)**

I have been a fan of this band for quite some time and I swear they just seem to get better and better with each release. This band would be an absolutely perfect addition to the Hell’s Heroes lineup in Houston. Just listen to track 2 “Motorhorse” and if it doesn’t just make you instantly crack a smile and start making you bang your head, you may not actually like Heavy Metal and you may need to reevaluate your life choices.

Istarn-Eschatology (Melodic Black)**

Came across this one late on in the weekend and worried that I wouldn’t find a highlight Black Metal album. It was down to the wire but Istarn showed up to continue the streak of yet another excellent Black Metal album. This genre has been absolutely fantastic over the last couple of years. TGIWednesday...My personal 9/11

My father could be shall we say “difficult” to deal with. Near the end of his life, Hospice called me and asked for permission to give him Ensure (the protein drink) and I was like, of course. And they said, "Ok, when can you have it here?" I was like, "What? You charge people like a grand a day, how come you don’t have a 52 foot truck filled with Ensure?" Well, off I went to my local grocery store/Publix. I reminised over going there for beer and ice when we were young and going out boating all day with my dad, followed by late night trips for diapers and formula for our sons, and now I am going there for Ensure for my ailing father... Life is odd right? I go to the grocery store and get all the vanilla and chocolate Ensure cartons they had. All of them. Struggling to carry them to my car in a light rain, a box tore open and one can of either vanilla or chocolate rolled into the sewer grate. Then I headed over to visit my dad and his nurse. When I got ready to leave, my dad said with a frail voice, “Jimmy, get me some strawberry flavored ones next time”. He passed 7 years ago during the Whitehouse moment of prayers on 9/11, and I have no doubt he wanted us to always remember him. My dad could be mean and self-centered but was also generous and enjoyed adventure. He worked like a trojan and I learned two things from him. One to put in the time working and creating. And two, to contrast him and be more like my mother, loving and kind to everyone. This weekend we’ll see Ringo Starr live and I look forward to the song, “It don’t come easy.” Ringo is big on Peace and so am I now, more than ever.

Interview with Tobias from today’s (Sept 10) issue of Aftonbladet

When Metallica's self-titled album saw the light of day, Tobias Forge was ten years old, completely unaware of the major role the band would later play in his professional life. He had heard of the thrash metal group from the US West Coast, but it was the Black Album that really put them on his radar.

- Almost overnight, Metallica became a band that people talked about at school. Even the girls in class knew about them, so you knew they were big. I've always been pretty out of sync with popular music, but there and then I was in sync.

Do you remember the first time you listened to the album?

- Well, not really. It was probably as simple as my older brother playing it as soon as it came on. He kept himself up to date and had played the album a lot beforehand. However, I remember very well watching the documentary "A year and a half in the life of Metallica" the following year, about when they made the album. It taught me two important things that I've carried with me ever since - how to make a record and how to tour that record. I use this knowledge when working with Ghost.

What is your favourite song on the album?

- "Of Wolf and Man" is the best. It's more in line with the style of music I used to play and is also closer to the "old" Metallica. "Wherever I May Roam" is also a favorite. You almost get tired of songs like "Enter Sandman", "Sad But True" and "Nothing Else Matters", as much as I like well written ballads.

What makes this album a classic, in your opinion?

- I think most people can agree that it's an incredibly well-written album. Nowadays, people talk about artists like Kanye West as sound artists. Metallica was in that position in 1991. They created a sonic space that sounded louder and bolder than almost anything that had been done before.

Today, a commemorative edition is released along with the tribute album "The Metallica Blacklist". Ghost has included a cover of "Enter Sandman", a song you've just said you are quite tired of. Why that song?

- We were asked to play the song at Polar Music Prize three years ago. It wasn't the song I had chosen myself but it was the requirement to be included, so it had to be. Then when we were asked by Metallica to contribute a cover to this anniversary, we only had a couple of days, we were in between big tours, so it had to be "Enter Sandman" because we already had a basis. I wish it was a sexier story than that, but that's the one I have. And the profits will go to charity. We've chosen an organisation that organises summer camps for young transgender people. The vulnerability of children is reflected in the content of the song, which strikes a chord with me. So with that in mind, the choice seemed obvious.

How does this version differ from the one performed at Polar Music Prize?

- The thing that bothered me a little bit then was that we didn't have room for a solo. But now we didn't have a three-minute time limit to deal with, so this time I wanted a solo that could be even a bit more rock 'n' roll than the existing one. Lately, I've been too rusty to play really sizzling, fast riffs, so I asked Fredrik Åkesson from Opeth to help us. His contribution was really the icing on the cake.

So you're happy with the result?

- I like the song, it sounds nice. We'll probably play it live later. There are others who will surely contribute much better interpretations. I guess James or Lars might hate me then (laughs)
