a little leftovers lore: it started off as a one shot and then i decided to expand on it after i didn't feel like i got my message across very well with it lmao. usually i don't mind other interpretations of my work, but i felt as if far too many people saw what simon did at the end of the story was a good thing. and not just in the "omg he's crazy i need him" way but in the "this is exactly how soft and caring he is!" when that was... not the case. i had lots of people demanding a second part where he's taking care of her, or fucking her, etc etc and i was like.... i didn't do well enough, i gotta expand on this lmao. thus, the second part was born, and now the third and final part is in the works! albeit, very slowly. since it's the end of their story, i'm wanting to make sure i get everything right, and only have like, 100 words written down so far. i've actually rewritten the start at least three times now because i'm a freak.

Yesterday I finally managed to find some time to write! 🤩

But I didn't focus on just one thing! Since I have sooooo many ideas, I decided to open a new document and write down everything that was on my mind - and I ended up working on three ideas for three different fanfics! 🤩

First, I've been wanting to work on a romantic Luaisy story for a veeeery long time now, and thanks to @itsavee4117's writing prompt, I'd say the time has finally come! 🤩 I started writing down all my ideas and ended up kinda writing a whole scene, and man, I enjoyed it so much! 🥹 Luaisy is my favorite couple ever, I see them totally PERFECT for each other and love their dynamics, so I truly cannot wait to continue working on their story! 🧡💚✨

Secondly, I've also started working on @keakruiser's suggestion for this writing prompt of Mario and Luigi in a cold context (thank you! 💖). Again, I've had this idea for a very long time of writing something in which the brothers were in a cold environment (which is quite common in their adventures) and they have to find a way to keep warm. And thanks to @keakruiser's suggestion, I started thinking about it again and I've finally come up with something! 🥹 It's still just an idea, I have yet to write the whole thing, but I'm so happy I finally got something! 😭 I don't know how long it'll take, but I will deliver a story - and it will be full of brotherly love! 🥹❤️💚✨

And last but not least, speaking of brotherly love, I also have an idea inspired by this beautiful artwork by @cherryfennec that focuses on the brothers helping each other and being cute and happy together 🥹 But as I was writing all my notes down, it changed a little bit and ended up including a kinda suggestive Mareach moment, so now I have a fanfic in which you'll find both! 🤭 And to me, the best part is that this Mareach moment is possible precisely thanks to Luigi, who is this couple's number 1 fan 🤭

Also, I haven't forgotten about @itsavee4117's ask regarding the writing prompt that I mentioned above! (Thank you! 💖) I will deliver something too, of course! I just haven't gotten the time yet to stop and think about it closely in order to figure out something. But it'll happen too! ✨

These are only some ideas I'm working on, but I also must finish my Luigi's Mansion fanfic and there are sooooo many other things I want to write! 🤩 I'm just way too busy, and also a very slow and chaotic writer, and a pantser to top it all 😂 Also, next week I'll be off on a four-day trip with my dad, so let's see if I can manage to finish and post at least one of these stories before leaving for a few days! 🤞✨

Whoosh, that`s an interesting question! I think I`ll go for Corlys. I liked their dynamic in early episodes, and it feels like this duo of ambitious, self-centered dudes would work as friends. Unless their ambitions clash - then things could get ugly very quickly. Well, friendship is all about communication and compromise😂 So, I`d definitely watch the "Daemy and Corly explore the world" show (with a big bowl of popcorn nearby).

So in the first story in the Stepney book, the dynamic between Percy and Douglas is really interesting. (Especially when I edit it almost beyond recognition, lol.)

Coz they're talking about, well, you know, how there's an actual genocide of steam engines going down on the mainline. And in such a conversation you'd think Douglas would be the more grounded and worldly, yeah? Coz he's fresh from that frying pan, himself. Or maybe you'd recall that, after all, it's definitely Donald who is the brain of our Caledonians, and predict that actually Perce and Douggie are on a level.

But in fact, in this of all conversations, it's Percy who strikes me, again and again, as the more aware and open-eyed of the two. And it's all the more remarkable because Percy himself is really playing up this "oh don't ask me 🙃 I am but a simple saddletank, I do not understand the ways of the cruel and confusing outside world 🙃 I like to sing daft songs and think as little as possible 🙃" shtick to the hilt. But... what he says and how he says it doesn't bear this out at all? He got the gist of what the Fat Controller told them at the staff meeting perfectly well, thanks. The "nuance" and correction in the author's note is literally corporate propaganda and Percy is right to have tuned that line out. And he is not insensitive at all to their mainland counterparts, he feels deeply for them, but he also shows a lot of sense about how he conducts himself. Douglas has been happy to ignore any updates on the mainland situation till now—I'm not criticizing him, just pointing out that in comparison Percy has in fact paid attention and kept himself well-informed even though he goes on living his best life on Sodor. Perce is doing fine. He's excited about their visitor, as he gets excited by most grand events, but it's actually Douglas who starts immediately romanticizing and lionizing this new idol in a way that I find kind of naive...

D: 'He's sooo brave to travel among all those hordes of murderous diesels just to see us! 😍'

Douglas can't comprehend the idea of getting to Sodor with official permission, lol. Also, lookit him—he's already thirsty for Oliver before he ever meets him! How this lucky, lucky bastard had said fantasy just materialize in front of him in the moonlight at Barrow yards is beyond me. Douglas the Bullshitted His Way Onto the Island of Sodor Engine was truly built under a lucky star.

Mind you, I think Percy is right there being a short king. Like, Douggie. My babe. The way you immediately take Percy's remarks about 'it's really sad what's happening to our poor brethren on the mainland 😓' to 'yeahhh, fuckin' diesels, man. they're all devils' at the speed of light? Now I am criticizing you. Like I understand where you got this attitude but I am disappointed at your machine racism.

But Percy? Percy 💖. I will eternally love him for at once calling his friend out. 'douggie, what the fuck? you know that's not true. can it.' Like he's not super assertive about it and he doesn't press the point. But he does instantly drop the whole "i am so clueless and WHIMSICALLLL hehe" persona he'd been playing literally one second before to just speak directly and intelligibly and to the point—and he nails it. Douglas can't separate his fears about scrap from his feelings about diesels but Percy's is basically all 'it's literally so easy to not be a dick... so don't.'

Don't you just love it when you read about Clace as side characters and they're just being a cute couple?

I've been reading TDA, The Tales from Shadowhunters Academy and the extras and just enjoying seeing Clace from the other characters pov, just them being "Jace's expression softened looking Clary" or "Clary and Jace are weirdly good together" etc, "Jace sleeping on Clary's lap" or "I've never seen anyone else in love like them (....)" or "Jace and Clary can always be persuaded to go together" or when Jace says "where Clary go I go" in TFTSA

I'm paraphrasing obviously cuz i can't remember the exact quotes but yeah 💖💖💖

And I've also noticed how they're actually quite a playful couple--outside of their own books, cuz when we're reading from Clary's and Jace's perspectives, they seem quite serious sometimes since we're reading their thoughts basically

But i love how to other characters, they're portrayed as still acting like teens and early adults later on. I just--Cassandra Clare *chefs kiss*

Closest example i remember rn since I've just finished TFTSA is when Sizzy and Clace had this double date and Clace is just playing footsie under the table (and Jace may have accidentally rubbed his leg against Simon's) xDD

Like how they notice the way Clary touches Jace or how Jace looks at Clary, the way some people is even jealous of their relationship or think they would never fit with someone else the way Jace and Clary do, how in love they are, I'm all here for it!!! 🤩🤩💕

And yes! The playful part 😂😂 I agree, they seem a lot more serious with each other on their books. I love their dynamic in CoB because they got more into each other nerves in that book 😂 But I can't blame them, I mean, CoA and most of CoG was pure hell for them. CoFA wasn't much better. CoLS wasn't really Jace and CoHF (my favorite btw) they were a little more playful in that one. Point is, they were facing some serious problems in TMI, I understand Cassie didn't portrayed them more playful with each other on those books 🫠 So I'm so happy to see them in the other books, happy and confident in their relationship 🥰🥺 I mean, it’s also canon that they are playful with each other even during sexy times ����😏🔥
