yuno doesnt ocean dump people because he's used to it himself or because he's coping by ignoring the gravity of it. he ocean dumps his friends because somewhere in his brain, he knows he'd rather forget too. he'd rather curtis had left him further out and he'd washed up on the shore, none the wiser that his friends tried to kill him. he'd rather dundee hadn't immediately called ems so he wouldn't remember his closest friend and mentor shooting him and leaving him in the dark.

and ooc, i know sykkuno seems to really just go with the flow and do things for content most of the time, and he does, but as someone who's watched him for years, i can see him digging out these old incidents and using them in 4.0 yuno's character. it's not an accident that yuno evolved from pacifism to ocean dumping just after he started opening up to some people about these old memories of his friends threatening him or leaving him for dead

oh this is a long one, who's Juan Guarnizo, the streamer who has recently tweeted against the french union in regards of the qsmp.

juan guarnizo is a colombian streamer (who now lives in mexico with his wife). he's participated in Tortillaland, a roleplaying minecraft series, as a wizard of sorts. He then decided to create a "spin-off" series (more cinematic/pre-planned) called "El Dios de Todo" (The God of Everything, his character's catchphrase). So he partnered with Euphonia, a popular Minecraft Studio that has created games such as SquidCraft, Dedsafio, SawMinecraftGames, and more.

He announced he was looking for several roleplayers for this project, and people started complaining on twitter because some of the requirements were pretty much insane.

Some include, full availability for 6 hours a day everyday for an entire month, good quality microphone, not being able to livestream the content, just record it to be used after the proyect was released, knowing how to rhyme/rap/sing/imitate voices and animals/general voice acting talent and being able to improv. All of that for the price of 0$. The payment? The enriching experience of being part of this unpayed proyect with your favorite content creator.

Well turns out people still didn't like this idea, justifiably so, and continued to call him out on twitter. His initial response was as follows:

(Hello, I understand that you know little about the project so I'll explain it to you: The God of Everything is a series based on a story that we will tell in the most cinematic way possible, therefore it is only possible to have one pov and not 40. Participants will be able to take advantage of the series on different social media platforms but not live. How much benefit they decide to get out of it is up to each person. The 6 hours a day thing is insurance, because there will most likely be days where your participation is half an hour and that's it. Also making it clear that professionals such as voice actors who will also be in the series will be paid for their work. We are creating an experience never seen before for me, the roleplayers and the audience, whoever wants and can experience it will enjoy it very much. It is something that we are putting all our heart and desire into for those who want to see the story. Communities that are not going to see it at all, at least don't fill it with your toxicity or bad vibes.)

Basically excusing himself by "I'm doing good by allowing you to join, please don't let toxicity ruin this". Which was still off, because professional voice actors would be getting payed but somehow the rest wouldn't, weird overall. Several POVs would be recorded but only one would be able to broadcast it, Juan. "we'll pay you with exposure" ahh deal

I haven't followed him since this happened, some claim he then did pay the actors, but even if that were the case, that would've never happened if it weren't for people calling out his exploitative bs. Which is exactly what's happened with the qsmp, only this time it's not a cancellation on twitter dot com, but a whole entire french union.

What I think their fans don't understand is that this is not a mob campaign against their faves, it's about protecting the working class from the privileged who refuse to pay them correctly or sometimes never at all, granting them rights to defend themselves when cases like these arise. This goes for people who claim Juan learned from his mistake, he clearly didn't if his immediate reaction to the union was:

So either he's forgotten his "lesson", or he only payed them (if that even happened) because he got caught and wanted to prevent a future cancelation).

I've never really gotten into Black Pink, I cant tell you why exactly but I think it's because I've never actually connected with the music??? And the fandom clashes were too often with Blinks. Sorry it took me a few days to respond I got swamped with uni work (swamped meaning I neglected my assignments in favor of reading bbh fics and being on twitter and then school caught up with me) but GOD talking with you is so nice, you're saying everything I've been thinking recently about fics T^T I know exactly what vibe of fics you're talking about, those kinds of fics stay with me and affect me for a while because of how good the writing is, "real stories" is a great way to describe it. I pretty much gave up hope though because exo tumblr writers in general are few and far between, and exo tumblr writers who do series or longer works are pretty much non existent nowadays.. And I feel like these kinds of fics aren't usually requested, more like the authors just come up with the idea for it, at least I think? Anyway hearing you say that you're planning on doing that kind of special gorgeous/longer/ao3 type fic for baekhyun literally made my entire year ngl :') I'm definitely looking forward to whenever you post them!!!!! Okay before I answer this, please keep in mind this is just my personal opinion and if anyone ends up getting offended, it's not my fault, I don't owe any apologies. I can like whatever I want to like and can also not be into some things either, this is a matter of personal preferences. My opinions isn't automatically a law everyone should follow either. Okay? From the very start when I watch and read SK, I have never had any shipping goggles on whenever I saw them onscreen. I always view them only working and helping together as a team all so in order to become the god of a new world. They never really had any close bonding moments and they always bicker/fight every so often and honestly, it just never kind of really. clicked. romantically for me. Now before anyone picks up their pitchforks and wants to correct me, I am also well aware they don't just argue 24/7, they have their positive moments together every now and then too. But for me personally, I just never find myself to vibe with the ship trope of Character A and B bickering every so often in general so I'm not a big fan of the trope.

In my very early days upon becoming a SK fan (And RenMei fan at the same time), after discovering/finishing the series (and this was before I step foot into the fandom), I've always had a neutral feeling towards the HR pairing so I didn't really cared much about it and stayed in my own lane, minding my own business and only focusing on my love for RenMei. Keep in mind during this time, I did not harbor any intense hatred or dislike for it, I just didn't really care about it in general. After hearing how great and peaceful the SK fandom was everyone made it out to be, I thought to myself "omg a fandom where there are no antis and everyone is at peace with eachother? AMAZING! FINALLY A FANDOM WHERE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE IS PEACEFUL!" Aaaaaand booooooi, was I so wrong about that statement in mind 💀💀💀After witnessing how badly the RenMei ship AND it's own fans get badly mistreated by the main SK fandom, especially by a lot of toxic HR fans, I begin to slowly despise the HR ship due to it's toxic fans. Of course I know not all HR fans aren't like this since I've seen a few fans that actually aren't toxic/hateful but were really respectful and nice, but because I've seen and witnessed so much toxic BS ranging from the following:

Trashing and antagonizing on RenMei in order to make their ship look more superior and better-- I've seen some toxic HR communities that likes to spread literal actual misinformation about HR being canon and making up so much misinfo about RenMei, such as them only married to make a strong baby, Ren doesn't actually love or care about Jeanne and is still in love with Horo,etc. They literally will do anything to make up shit about RenMei and find every moment to paint them in a bad light (I've also seen a few toxic fans shoving their "canon" into other people's throats when in actuality HR was never. Canon? Lol, there's AUs man, cmon.) Not only that, they will ALSO repost people's RenMei artworks and be disrespectful about it and also once again, trash on the fanart while also reposting HR fanart (Which is also uh, YIKES) and praising/making their ship look better while trashing on RenMei at the same time.

Literally invading Renmei fan spaces and spewing ship hate in the comments (Ex: I always see negative comments on deviantart and on VK, as well as twitter and it's always the common comment "I HATE REN X JEANNE!" and like ok and? No one cares?? Who tf asked? I also remembered a time on twitter of 2021 where a friend of mine was gushing about RenMei, only for them to get a quote rt out of nowhere from an anti (Which is also a toxic HR shipper) going "I HATE RENMEI but Ren looks soo cool I love him! uwu 😘💜" like... ??? Way to ruin the mood but also? Can you fcking not??? be a douchebag and ruin someone's mood of them enjoying something?? Jesus christ)

Literally seen death threats towards RenMei shippers. I am not joking. There was a time where new merch came out and in that merch, Jeanne was placed right next to Ren side by side together. Then I saw an anti losing their shit being overly furious of them going "If anyone talks about Ren x Jeanne, I will butcher you" which is uh, YIKES? Like bro, are you even hearing yourself rn??? Jesus fucking christ)

And because of so SO SO many awful toxic bullshit I had to see and witness, I ended up hating HR because of it's toxic shippers. Good job guys :/

And that was my long semi post of why I don't ship them. If you like HR, cool. I can respect you for that. But if you like HR and you bully/harass non HR fans and being a full on big dick in general, not fucking cool. I have zero respect for those that likes to go and harass others over a fictional ship, that is never fucking okay and you should know better. Learn how to stay in your own lanes, use the mute/blocking features if you severely hate a certain thing that affects your mental health and instead of focusing on being negative 24/7 and using your energy to be hateful all the time (which is actually unhealthy), why not focus on your ships and spread love/positivity instead?

I wasn't sure if you were referring to them because I still haven't watched their last video, but I had the feeling something was going on. I'm glad she's being transparent about how she feels.

I think reactors often happen to have particularly excited or dramatic reactions and get/feel pressured to have the same reaction to everything they watch, also to avoid toxic fans comments... I'm sorry (not sorry) but I blame young new kpop fans for this, especially those coming from twitter, where these reactors seem to find most (if not all) rude (or worse) comments. Of course not all of them are like this, I know and see so many that are not, they are respectful and behave in a more human and chill way, but there's a big portion that does, sadly.

Anyway. I'm all for reacting to a limited number of groups, if I were ever to do such thing, I would react to my favorites and occasionally others. However, I also realize that for many this is or becomes a job, and so the wider the public the better... About authenticity, for me it's quite fundamental otherwise I just feel like I'm wasting my time...

My fav reactors are (apart from the two i've already mentioned), the safe cave (they're also been pretty transparent with subscribers over time, took breaks when needed and made clear how and what they react to, definitely my number 1) and Lktv (he does bang his head lmao but I enjoy his reactions, he does comment a lot most of the time.)

Recently I saw a few reactions from millennial men and katriinka, a vocal coach. They seem good, at least from what I saw. I knew i forgot something 🤡 choreography! Idk why is so hard to find good dancers reactions... there's jeff avenue, there was a time he used to explain even more stuff and it was 👌👌👌 Musa is too much for me 💀 too much... I also find it exaggerated, also because it's like a standard for him to react that way. And when there's an important message behind he doesn't seem to catch it? I haven't watched all his videos, but some made me mad lol so I was like, "okay, enough, thank u next".

Look I’ve seen other cc’s do this and I’ve always thought it was kinda weird. Especially when a ton of Dream’s fans are under the age of 18. I don’t think Dream is a creep or anything but it’s just a bit weird to have a content creator “texting” young fans. I can already see drama channels and Twitter thread about Dream enforcing parasocial relationships, but again I don’t think Dream is a creep and I hope he’s smart about what he does and doesn’t respond to. i always get 20 asks from pissed off paramore fans but i find a small amount of her work to be offputting ever since i saw a video of her preaching onstage about how she loved god and she knew god was real and in the room and loved her or something. thats totally fine for her to do and express and lots of people identify with that but i personally had a very negative experience with that specific branch of white people protestant(?) christian religion growing up and its something im coming to terms with at my own pace. i know hayley has grown and changed a lot as a person and she was quite young and i dont hold it against her but a lot of their music was written before the extremely homophobic guy left and such and for me the christian themes in their early music are tied to that, so its not something im super deep into like mcr or fob. i know there are people who dont want to listen to pws BS because of bad experiences with men too, like i get it even if that isnt me, its art.

i have difficulty articulating what about 21ps lyrics bother me because pete and gerard and billie evoke religion constantly in ways that i like and identify with. but 21ps definitely seem like youth pastor lessons to me, like they just seem very one dimensional and insidious in a way that skeeves me out because theyre feeding overt bible verses and stories with very little self awareness to 13 year olds disguised as rebelling against the establishment. and like religion isnt inherently bad but tylers brand of religion comes with very overt homophobia/transphobia and very overt racism and its just BLEH

i didn't get a notification either and because i wasn't really expecting an announcement or for it to be red so when i first saw the pictures on tumblr i thought they were a fan edit 😂 i wonder if the plan had been to release 1989 sooner but things got delayed or she changed her mind but they decided to put out the merch anyway since it's summery. i think it's quite likely she just announced it now because of how people were expecting 1989 this summer to the point it was trending on twitter and getting reported on by journalists so she might just want to establish what's coming and show that it's going to be a slow process, although the 22 weeks thing is the kind of thing she'd do! my guess is that a single will come around september time when it's more autumnal and not such a long gap, but i'm curious what she'll pick! i really like the cover, i think it fits well with the red vibe and the "red" ring shows she didn't just like go back to the evermore photos and pick one, and also it makes me wonder if she's shot any of the other covers already since she's obviously been planning them a long time in advance! i definitely didn't expect to ever hear the 10 minute all too well either so that's exciting. i think this album is probably one of the most exciting for vault songs so i'm glad there's lots because it was a time of more experimentation so there could be some real country ones and some pop too. i do remember hearing a while ago that she and ed wrote two songs but only everthing has changed got released so i'd be curious to hear the other one and i'm guessing there will be two or three features total? i feel like the country/pop/singer-songwriter combination of the album means there's so many possibilities of people she could pick, there could be a combination of an artist she liked/was inspired by at the time and someone newer like with fearless. i'd love nothing new too, the snippet of lyrics we've seen of that look like it could be such an interesting song! it's exciting getting to experience it again, even though it's one of the albums i listen to most i didn't become a proper fan until just before 1989 so i like that this gives a chance to sort of relive the release and everything.

i saw your previous posts about HP, and i think even if you're a fan, you seem pretty open-minded about it. all my friends adore it, and i think i just need to let off some steam. you can ignore this if you want but i think i just need to rant. i love that drama, i really do. it's so well-written, but i'm just annoyed that it was peppered with love lines. my favorite episodes were the first five--when it was free of all the ships and we can freely enjoy the story, their friendship, --

I was against posting this with the hospital playlist tag because it might draw some flak, especially from the fans, but after some time, I decided to tag it here, just in case you can’t check my actual blog or it gets buried by my reblogs.

Just like you, I love Hospital Playlist. The humor was fun and the characters are lovable. But I have to agree with you when you mentioned that it banked on romance. We might be part of the minority though because there are definitely fans who tuned in to find out which lovelines will actually 'sail’. To relieve myself  of the stress, I just thought o fit this way: HP is a slice-of life, so it is a realistic portrayal. And we have to accept that romance is a part of that life they are trying to portray. Some lovelines did not really sit that well with me. For example, IkSong. The two characters are adorable. Initially, I wanted IkSong to push through so it can portray a healthy relationship between a stepmother and a child. But after much thinking, I ended up wishing that  the writer kept Ik-jun as a cool single dad and Song-hwa as a woman in her 40s who can find new love or not end up with anyone at all. 

Why? Because single dads exist, and we rarely get a portrayal of a single father who is also a doctor. Because it would be a nice to message to the viewers if Song-hwa can meet someone new and outside of her circle of friends. Or because there are single women (and men) who actually enjoy being single. Because it would be nice to see a woman help her bestfriend (who is a man) raise his kid without either of them developing feelings for each other. 

The only loveline that I genuinely enjoyed was Bidulgi :) GomGom was cute. But I looked forward more to Min-ha’s growing respect for Seok-hyeong as a professor and Seok-hyeong’s journey to heal his own trauma. Like you, I wished it ocused more on doctors, nurses, and other members of th medical community interacted (including the physical and occupational therapists, pscyhiatrists, med techs, etc.), but without the romance to draw the viewers in, I don’t know if the drama will receive that much of love. 

Anyway, about the fans on twitter. It really does happen. It’s not just on HP. But yeah, I have a friend who also ranted to me about this once--the whole WinterGarden shipping extending to YYS and SHB in real life. Sadly, we can’t really do anything about it. If it makes you uncomfortable, maybe you can just refrain from checking the hashtags? Or you can unfollow people who are posting about them? Unfortunately, celebrities don’t get the privacy some of us can have.

It’s nice that it has a season 2 (and 3), but I guess South Korea will be seeing the downside of having a show that also shows the romance between characters. Actually, of having a slice of life drama that is multi-seasonal. It’s easier for Kingdom and Stranger because the focus is mosly on the plot. But for HP cast, it might be more difficult for them to get out of the mold or the character that they are portraying in the drama -- at least in the eyes of the viewers. And of course, they have to be careful about the details of their personal lives.  I don’t think any of the cast members will be announcing anything about their dating life until the whole show is over because it might ruin the on-screen chemistry for some viewers. 

You can call it milking the franchise, others might go for promoting. We really can’t do anything about that, so maybe it’s best if you mute it from your search engine or something to that effect? I know some people who preferred to have the drama set at 20 episodes rather than the whole season 1 and 2 format because they don’t really like how some fans gush about every single announcement/detail or do the other Twitter games that the fandom has. I guess it’s just a matter of preference :)

Anyway, I hope you feel better because you got to talk about it. Don’t worry you’re not alone in your sentiments. I have friends who feel the same way. waterparks!! will not lie i only really started listening to them about 6 months ago having been distantly aware of their existence for several years by being a fan of bands in the same genre. listen as long as you let yourself be vaguely annoyed by awsten is prevents you from being in love with him. follow him on any social media platform for like a day and you'll be sick of him typing in nothing but all caps within hours. simply do not romanticize him and you can keep yourself from falling!! so this is coming from a slightly fake parx fan, but some of my favs by them have been peach (lobotomy), crave, numb, fuzzy, violet!, you'd be paranoid too, and lowkey as hell. that is a very songs-from-their-most-recent-album-heavy rec, but whatever. i did give the disclaimer about being a fake parx fan.

yeah hayley does have 2 solo albums now!! petals for armor and flowers for vases / descansos. pfa is the one i didn't really like upon first listen but has grown on me. i haven't even listened to the second one in its entirety oops but we won't mention it. dead horse is good but simmer (pretty sure that was the other single??) just ain't it for me. the album has some lovely songs but it's just a hit or miss album all the way through. some favs of mine on it include pure love, taken, crystal clear, watch me while i bloom, and why we ever. it's sorta a storyline album about healing if that adds anything to it?? but anyways. i started listening to paramore around the time after laughter dropped and it grew to be one of my fav albums in existence. idle worship is probably one of my fav songs like ever. i def understand being slightly put off by bands with songs that make religious references (me with twenty one pilots' earlier music that makes a lot more religious references considering i'm not religious whatsoever) but i think i am blinded by being in love with hayley williams and just ignore it. idk that she's like super religious?? she's addressed believing in god and stuff a few times but she's def not the "rub it in your face" type and if she's making refs in music more recently then they're subtle enough i'm not noticing them. ik albums like brand new eyes had a lot more because it was shortly after that the band split and the songwriting process was essentially her and ex-bandmate co-songwriter arguing about their religious beliefs (turns out he ended up being super homophobic and transphobic all based on his religion so do with that what u will and thank the clown for leaving). i feel u on the "i meant to start listening to them" because that's essentially how i started listening to them. i told myself i was going to and then finally forced myself to do it. fuck falling for awsten knight what's more risky is falling in love with hayley </3
