ooooh I just came across the Pran lying stretched in his bed with the kiss scene clothes picture and now we know it's probably the first scene of the episode?? it's obviously him processing what just happened and what that means and Pat's headphones are placed there on purpose of course, idk if they'll be a focus or are just there but I can even see Pran looking at them for a second or something

but what I actually wanted to say is, Pat stays on the roof a bit before he goes back so what if he tries to speak to Pran again? And that scene is Pran ignoring Pat knocking on his door? Possibly even trying to talk to him through the door? There's this scene in the preview where they show that scene but also Pat sitting on the floor looking sad/reflective, however Pat is wearing different clothes so I don't think it'll be the same scene as the trailer implies.

I would die if we got that Pran sad scene after the kiss, made even sadder by including Pat in it who refuses to give up. I don't think they would talk, I think that's the scene by the bus stops where Pran tries to leave and Pat holds him back, but I think it'd be a sweet and angsty moment even tho I feel it's unlikely.

ok so yes, i definitely think this is the first (or at least one of the first) scenes of the next episode:

and i actually find it quite possible that your theory is correct! pat is not the type of person to give up easily, and he always tries to reach out to pran and understand what he is thinking and feeling in these situations. so he could have tried to knock on his door again! the headphones are definitely very intentional here too, regardless of whether the camera and/or pran will actually point them out or not.

this scene comes right after that one in the trailer:

but i think it's to intentionally mislead us, because the clothes are indeed different.

i think pat will definitely try, but i am not 100% sure pran will respond right away. i feel like maybe it will be pat's first attempt to reach out to pran, but it won't go over very well.

there is this one scene in the trailer that i have always mentioned hand-in-hand with the scene at the bus stop:

kind of the same vibes here, pat trying to figure out what went wrong and what is going on in pran's head.

now, this scene takes place in the evening, and we have this scene in the next episode, which i want to point out:

pran is wearing the same shirt here, pat isn't. though they have reused their clothes before, they have changed their clothes during the same day even more often, so i think that it's more likely that pat has changed his shirt, and this is indeed a scene in the evening of the same day. which is when i think pat will make his first successful attempt at actually figuring out what's wrong.

I'm pretty sure Adam's «i'm ready for... you know» line refers to smth about make-up... bc it's definitely the same scene as the «wait but you will ruin my make-up» «i will ruin You» exchange and he has eyeshadow on. i think it's cut that way in the trailer to mislead us and think he's talking about the first time but i'm pretty sure it has smth to do with make-up, like he's ready to get fake lashes glued on or whatever. but that's just my theory!

It certainly wouldn't be the first time we are terribly misguided by a trailer, dear anon, and OH MY GOD that sounds like the cutest scene in the world!! 😭 I want to cry just by picturing it. A wonderful theory just like all the others!

I hope it's about their first time tho, I'm excited to think where this goes.

So I have like zero followers, but I wanted to vent somewhere, so here we are. I finally found some kdramas I am not a fan of after binging during quarantine these last two years (I’m chronically ill so I have a lot of free time). For the most part I’ve really enjoyed the majority I’ve watched, and have already re-watched a handful bc I enjoyed them so much and it’s digital hangs with my bestie. But I absolutely hated Itaewon Class, You Are My Spring, and Hometown Cha Cha Cha. I’ve been seeing IC and HTCCC on a lot of recommendation posts, and I wanted to see what other people thought about these things I noticed and disliked about the shows.

You Are My Spring, I simply could not finish and did not care to. The trailer was very misleading (I’ve actually gotten used to this with Netflix kdramas), and it ended up being a plot that felt off some how... I stopped after about five episodes since I just wasn’t feeling it. So I guess my gripe with this isn’t the same as the other two which had to do with the relationship dynamics.

I loved Park Seo-Joon in Whats Wrong With Secretary Kim (and I look forward to him being in the next Captain Marvel movie), but the writing for Itaewon Class was frustrating. Yes I liked the lead character and some of the side ones, and it was good to finally see a trans character in a kdrama (though it would have been even better if the character was played by a trans actor. Progress is progress, and I’m glad to see more representation in kdramas.). But I was not okay with how creepy Yi-Seo was towards Sae-royi. If it had been the other way where the dude was adamant and saying “I love you” and forcing physical affection on the woman even after the female character had said no multiple times over multiple years and drawn clear boundaries, people would be screaming how creepy the dude was. So yeah, that made me uncomfortable they ended up together since it was not healthy at all, and he deserved better after having such a hard life (honestly the second female lead was not much better. He should have ended up with someone else altogether. 🤷🏻‍♀️).

Hometown Cha Cha Cha was one where I got really bad second lead syndrome. It broke my heart how the dude loved her so much and the timing just wasn’t in his favor, both in college and again in later adulthood. But he actually seemed to care about Hye Jin unlike Do Sik (in the start anyway). Lastly Hye Jin beating poor Do Sik any time a town person came near them when they were trying to hide their relationship was extremely effed up. Her head butting him and actually making him bleed was not cute at all, and abuse needs to be called out when we see it. That was not a healthy start to a relationship, or healthy in any relationship. But uh yeah. If you prefer shows with healthy romantic relationships… skip this one.

Anyway I definitely will not be watching those three again, and felt like warning people looking for kdrama recs. I guess for reference I should say my top five are: 1) Vincenzo (the writing in this show was so good). 2) Hotel Del Luna (hoo boy the heartbreak in that one hit hard). 3) Sweet Home. 4) Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. 5) King Eternal Monarch (simply for the fact that it was refreshing to see a fresh science fiction story when so many things in America media are being rehashed and recycled). That list isn’t necessarily in order tho, and I honestly have more favs than just those. Runner ups include: All of Us Are Dead, When the Camelia Blooms, Mystic Popup Bar, and Shopaholic Louis.

..okay so i have many thoughts n things i want to say id actually just would link you a review that goes more into detail and is more cohesive than my messy essay so i’ll try my best and keep this short as possible tho and i apologize for my english lmfao :

also if anyone disagrees with me and is about to send me an essay why i am a h*mophobic, tr*nsphobic and alt r*ght piece of trash bc i didnt praise the shit out of tlou2

i'm glad that you enjoyed the game so much that its a masterpiece and 10/10 in your eyes , i honestly respect your opinion (and i wanted to love this game too) but maybe rethink what you're about to do and let other people have different opinions without bashing them? it literally doesn't affect you in any way that i didn't enjoy it ( and no it wasn't enjoyable for me bc a character i like died)

postive:

the gameplay is fluid and responsive (there were some minor issues but its still great), definitely improved compared to the first game, id love to have a little bit of more enemy variety bc it got kind of tiring after the 20th encounter that basically felt the same as the ones before (tho i appreciate the stealth gameplay , sneaking around the map and taking out enemies while being prone like in mgsv was thrilling)

animation, graphics , level design, acting, sound design: ND succeeded in creating another jaw dropping immersive cinematic experience is all i have to say, this is one the best looking games i've ever played (i cant believe a 7 yr old machine can run this game)

music: i'm glad that gustavo santaolalla is back for the sequel! it wouldn't feel the same without him, his music adds so much to the experience

negative: the controversial part lmao

story, characters: I’ll be honest i prefer tlou1 + left behind story wise. i personally don't like the structure of it in the sequel, too many empty side characters, some character / plot decisions generally didn't make sense for me, the dialogue/writing felt out of place and kind of odd sometimes (compared to the scenes from the flashbacks with joel and ellie) and the last hours were dragged out for some reason i just wanted to be done as quickly as possible with it tbh

jesse was your typical nice guy™ who will definitely be killed off to move the plot forward. the only thing i remember is that he’s dinas ex boyfriend + father of jj dont get me wrong i like and didn't mind him but he has nothing interesting to add to the story. also funny how they literally did not mention him once after his death

owen and the other WLF members were just kinda there..? i don't have much else to say about them besides that they felt empty i tried to understand them and their stories but i didn't care for them in the end its prob my fault but henry, sam, bill and riley were more compelling to me

lev and yara were great i liked them both , its just that especially lev was just there to make abby seem more humane, i didn't like that ND tried to create a similar dynamic between them like in the first game with ellie and joel it didn't particularly make me like her more speaking of which:

abby shows barely to no remorse for the things she did. what she did show was that she enjoyed torturing joel, killing seraphites and almost knowingly murdering a pregnant women (dina) and now ND shoves us this forced narrative of her being a good person into our face like how she would've accepted to die for the cure, has friends and a dog that she treats well (which we as ellie were forced to kill to make her seem even more like a villain in contrast to abby) , takes care of yara and lev (granted out of guilt for joel maybe? but i'm not sure) also making her seem more humane bc she has a fear of height? but abby would kill anyone who is not on her good side this time without a problem as we’ve seen plenty while playing as her what i'm surprised about is that i weirdly didn't hate her or anything guess they succeeded in making me feel some pity for her in the end

yes i also had some issues with the way tommy, ellie and joel were portrayed but i think i'm gonna stop here and give you a

TLDR:

gameplay ,graphics, animation, acting etc: solid 9/10

story (structure, writing, dialogue,characters etc) : 4-5/10 seems harsh but i am comparing it to the first game, if this was a different ip maybe an 8/10

all in all a its 6-7/10 for me, this game made me feel emotions (not particularly positive ones lmfao) i've never felt in any other medium before, only the first game comes close.

tlou2 is bleak, hopeless and messy at times with some rare light moments like the flashbacks of joel and ellie that i enjoyed the most and wished we’d gotten more of while also exploring joel and ellie's present relationship on her quest of finding the truth about the hospital incident and maybe also learning more about her immunity alas this was not the case as seemingly promoted by neil and some misleading trailers.

would i want to play this again? to be honest not really I’ll maybe try clearing the trophies but going back to just casually play it like i did with tlou1 no i don't think so for now.

This time including the squad as DnD characters, Liz facts, Noelle getting her yaoi education, and more

I’ve only played Dungeons & Dragons once (1) in my life so I’m no expert! I’d consider my thoughts suggestions (like with my takes on the charaters’ MBTI types, which I’m not an expert of either):

Noelle as a Wizard sounds right, since she definitely can’t do anything reliant on physical strength. She would be an asshole and attempt things like building a Clone Army

AKARSHA THE BARD. Rogue sounds too cool for her

Diya: I actually want to say she’s a Ranger because the Wiki on 5th edition says “The Beast Master archetype forges a connection between civilization and beasts, allowing the character to interact with animals in certain ways including gaining an animal companion to control.“ Fighter and Knight also sound plausible though!

Min: Barbarian with high Strength and no Intelligence and Wisdom

I don’t want to say too much because I want to save things for the sequel, but here’s some stuff:

She actually played against Diya in youth leagues before she transitioned. That’s why she recognizes Diya+specifically approached her to sign the baseball club form while Diya doesn’t recognize her. At the first club meeting Liz tells her “I was at one of your games when you were little” -- This is purposefully ambiguous/misleading (sounds like Liz was just watching) because she passes and doesn’t want to out herself to a bunch of club members she doesn’t know well

After transitioning she quit baseball and switched to softball. It was weird being the one trans girl on a team of cis dudes, and additionally when she was younger she sort of felt like she had to prove she was a girl; she naturally has feminine taste, but she’d overperform it by 25%. It wasn’t until she got close to Chryssa and found out she also liked baseball that she reclaimed her interest in it

She has a nice resting face so strangers tend to ask her for directions

Sunburns easily

Noelle was extremely scandalized that Akarsha kept sending her inappropriate images, and Akarsha was like “i’m doing this out of the kindness of my heart! it’s for ur education!! me: Master Teacher. call me sensei”

Following this Akarsha changed her chat name to YAOI SEME as seen at the beginning of the game

Akarsha: She constantly makes weed jokes but actually only does it rarely

Min-seo: Korean way, but most characters like Diya pronounce it like Min-so, with the “Min” rhyming with “win” (not like “mean”). The “so” is one syllable (not like “see oh”)

I was planning on making the sprites blink! I’m still a bit sad I didn’t end up doing it

It’s supposed to be fall 2008 when they’re in high school, but I took a LOT of artistic liberties when it came to the references. For example, Akarsha makes a Durarara reference even though the anime didn’t come out until 2010, and there’s a lot of modern memes that ended up in there too...I couldn’t hold back...

The IGF trailer video is especially modern-day meme-wise -- since it broke the 4th wall, it was like, all bets are off. Don’t think too hard about it!

I wanted to put a lot of 90s and early 00s hits in the game for the nostalgia factor, like Complicated, Rock Your Body, Dilemma, etc. I think it would’ve made the experience even more surreal for players who are around my age!

yep! it's made in renpy! I actually started out in twine -- twine is impossible if your game is like longer than an hour and is image heavy. the engine started lagging so bad it would take 30 secs to do anything

LOL it's hard..it's a lot of money. I don't think I would

hmm...i honestly sucked at this and could only work on it on breaks lol...if you can try to work it into your school projects, like some bit of it...

12. How did you organize yourself making such a long game? Any tips?

it was SUPER hard to organize, i was really lost until i split it into 4 sections with each character. so if you're planning on making a game this big definitely think about forcing yourself into sections like that

the art was the most confusing to do bc of how many assets there were. i was going to say "have consistent naming conventions" but that's literally impossible LOL it'll always become inconsistent no matter how hard u try

13. What part of the game took the longest (writing? art?)

writing, actually, despite how much i complain about art assets. it's really hard making sure the structure and themes come across correctly. like pacing is so hard. art is like #2 biggest time sink

14. How early in did you write the Akarsha/Min skateboard scene?

that came pretty late haha i put it in at last second

15. Are the characters based on real people?

they're all inspired by combinations of ppl i know! i wouldn't say based on them, tho. for example min is like a combination of 3 friends i have, strategically arranged to play her part in the story

character design is design so u still gotta be deliberate about it

16. Who’s the other cat on the computer? (they’re referring to the cat on my desktop wallpaper)

that one's maru! he's a famous japaense cat. he's super photogenic

definitely getting to put specific Asian-American experiences into it

18. Any writing advice?

definitely have other people beta your writing as soon as possible! they always catch stuff you missed. also this is like a cheat, make your characters really extreme. like find one aspect of yourself, and turn it up to 11 and make it into a character. that way they'll be relatable and memorable at the same time. i think most people don't make their characters extreme enough so they're all kinda samey

Arrow 6x04 Reversal

Main take away: THIS SHIP SAILS ITSELF. (need I say more?) I’d just like to state first how sorry I am for doubting this ep; but also shaming that misleading, BS heavy trailer from last wk. Not cool bro. This was another good episode tonight. Mostly cause Olicity was back together working as a team doing what they do best. Communication was so on point I could’ve cried & did cause of course. We finally met Caden James this ep, he seems friendly. (‘CJ’ going forward cause I can’t be bothered writing out “Caden James” till the end of time.) And another thing, I took notes this time around so go me. Apologies in advance for them being a lil all over the place. I tried sorting them into categories... I think it worked. So let’s get into it. *SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT*

*OLICITY* (I couldn’t save it for last this time so enjoy!)

To summarize: They’re the cutest most badass superhero couple ever. This everything I could’ve ever hoped for!!!

William wanted to come to dinner!!! If they don’t go on a lil mini playdate date in the future I will riot.

Felicity’s hair is goals; so damn stunning!! I forgot how much I missed her long flowing locks; FUCK! ALSO THAT DRESS! If I wasn’t gay before.

Cayden James First impressions: Has potential to be a BIG nuisance, still too early to tell. Definitely commands the room, so he has that going for him. A bit monotone but I can work with that. His creepy obsession w/ Felicity’s skills is unnerving, so that’s chill. He is basically North Korea/Japan 2.0 via the Internet kinda? I think? Awesome. Can’t wait to see Felicity/Curtis/Elena kick his ass on multiple occasions.

I’m getting real tired of this notion that Dinah Drake can take multiple assailants and not break so much as a sweat. But can’t hold her own against BS when it was already established that she was a better fighter and had a stronger Canary Cry. She better kick her ass by the end of the season. This retconning is BS & I won’t stand for it. (Thank you @blackcanarydinah for saying what I’ve been thinking for a very long time)

*HEADS UP* I’m gonna keep this short & simple. Or at least try to... I don’t like BS, & I haven’t since she was first introduced. I also don’t like KC. So this is basically a double whammy of awful for me. That being said I will never EVER apologize for what I say about her or BS. If you have any comments please do so with respect.

Now that that’s out of the way...

BS was so unnecessary for this ep, & I’m not just saying this. Just think about it for a sec. If you take her out of the equation nothing is lost. You’re telling me this was the ONLY way to get those fingerprints? The writers have been claiming since last season about how smart CJ is so what gives. I’m 100 billion % certain he could’ve come up with any other way to acquire those fingerprints. But instead we are left w/ KC’s emotionless line reading & rigid stance. It’s called emoting/inflection KC, look it up. Half the time she looked like she was starring into space or confused by what she was supposed to do. She knows she’s being filmed right? Example... CJ: -tells her to go do a thing; BS: -confused look; Huh me? CJ: -walks away; BS: -continues to stand there like an imbecile into the camera expressionless;

A good actor would you know do an evil smirk or something but oh well.

That’s all I have to say on my end. Next wk seems to be very Slade Wilson heavy, so that should be fun & interesting. Till txt time!!
