Yeonjun: Everything is fond and over the top. Everything is heightened. He squeezes so tight when he holds your hand—which he is always doing, and whenever he hugs you, he takes up every bit of breath in your lungs. He fusses over you like a mother hen, making sure you’re eating well, and your jewelry is placed right. Yeonjun always needs to be touching your skin, his hand on your thigh at restaurant, back hugs while you’re waiting in line at a café, arms wrapped around your shoulders or waist even if it inconveniences you both. So so so corny; sings love songs to you and whispers lines from romance movies, it makes you laugh but you can never tell if it’s because you actually like it, or you just love him. He is so in awe of you, sometimes the boys will catch him staring at you and whispering “wow” under his breath; he thinks you’re so beautiful and cute that when you wake up and your face is swollen and crusty he thinks you’re the most adorable thing. If he notices you’re even a little bit cold he’ll burrow you in all his warmest clothes and blankets until you are sweating and on the verge of heatstroke. When he kisses you it’s so sincere that you can feel every bit of love coming off him, even if you’ve just been fighting—especially if you’ve just been fighting. He always lets you pick the restaurant and never gets mad if you can’t make up your mind about where to go, in his mind he’ll take you anywhere as long as it makes you full. He is sweet and silly and never lets you think any less of yourself than he does, and he thinks a lot of you.

Soobin: The most domestic relationship ever. Seriously you guys are 20 going on 84, matching sweaters and in bed by 8. It’s a very earnest love—it’s maybe not overtly passionate or earthshattering, but it’s so fulfilling, and he makes you feel so safe. The kind of boyfriend to carry a picture of you in his wallet. Always so shy, whether you’re in front of a dozen people or it’s just you two alone, he will be timid about his actions—in a very sweet way. Hesitant to touch you, but when he does it’s so careful, like you might break. Learns how to do your hair: if it’s short he figures out how to clip fringe back so it stays out of your face… if its longer he tries his very hardest to learn to French braid, its always messy but done with love. Holds your hand while you cross the street to make sure your safe. Gets matching lanyards and phone cases, and takes dozens of pictures of you both with them. Making you bread and pastries on a free weekend fresh from the oven and telling you its only so good because he made it with you (though you didn’t do anything to help). Rides the train with you at night time so you don’t get scared, even if that means he has to get back on to go all the way back to the dorm. Sends pictures and funny stories every hour while he’s on tour. Tells you he loves you so much you need to adopt Odi. Cherishes and honors you like no one before, makes sure you never go a day without knowing he adores you.

Beomgyu: the silliest man you’ve ever come in contact with, and yet you’ve never felt more understood by anyone. Being with Beomgyu means you’ll never feel unwanted or alone. He has a way of knowing what you need before you do; texts you when he thinks something bad has happened, orders what you’re craving before you tell him, tells you he loves you too right before you say the words. Lays in bed with you at night joking but being so honest about all of his big feelings for you. Thinks you’re the most interesting person he’s ever met, is always telling the boys something he learned about you and saying “isn’t y/n so cool” when all it is an animal fact you learned from national geographic and told him about. Listens to every song you tell him you like. Starts wearing clothes that are your favorite color just so he can hear you say “you know Gyu, that shirts my favorite color.” Listens to everything you say and can recite it at a moment’s notice. Becomes friends with all your friends and all your family. Makes fun of you but never goes far enough that it hurts your feelings. Will watch movies and shows that he hates if you like them, while he can’t keep quiet about the complaints, he never actually turns it off. Will give you the most sincere and lovely compliments out of nowhere—he needs to make sure you know he appreciates you… he loves you so much he can’t contain it, and everyone who knows him knows.

Taehyun: the most charming boy you’ve ever met. Knows everything about you—from your favorite food to what you want your epitaph to be. Takes you on dates to science museums and 5 star restaurants. Comes with you to all your little appointments, you need a haircut? He’s sitting with you. You need to get a cavity filled? He’s in the waiting room. Cooks you dinner and makes you rate every bite, with threat of no dessert. Giggles with you over stupid things one of the boys said to him that afternoon. Wears the same outfit again and again because you complimented him on it once. Learns the words to your favorite songs so he can sing them to you like a lullaby. Always always always pulls out your chair and opens the door for you. Helps you study and grants you a kiss for every right answer. Wraps you up in his arms when you’re sad, whispers all the things he loves about you right in your ear. Charms your parents ten minutes into meeting them. Tells you he loves you at the end of every conversation. Buys couple rings and tells everyone about them. Kisses every one of your knuckles when he holds your hand. Stocks up the dorm with anything you might need—hair ties, your favorite snacks, the pain meds you prefer—he’s got it all. He never goes a day without telling you how happy he is you’re in his life <3

Kai: Dating Kai is like being with your best friend every day, nothing is a big deal—it’s all easy peasy. He picks up habits from you sooo fast: sooner or later you’re saying the same phrases and telling the same jokes. Everything is cozy, it was at least 9 months in before he ever saw you in cute date clothes because you guys are always wearing pajamas. Perfect date for him is watching movies or playing games with good food. The easiest way for me to explain what loving him is like is listening to a pop song, while it may be repetitive and mindless it makes you so happy and feels so familiar. He brings you to lunches with his sisters where you all make fun of him and he just cracks up because he’s so happy you all get along. You can tell him anything, and he’d never judge you: it could be the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done and he’d say “that’s cool dude, why were you so worried?” Also the boyfriend to never call you pet names, he’d think calling you babe or honey would be so cringe his mouth can’t even form the words. You leave a hair tie at the dorm once and now he never takes it off, it’s his favorite bracelet and you can’t have it back. Will not tell you he loves you if anyone is around, and if you tell him he will turn beet red. However, he is constantly draped over you and touching your skin, like you know he’s upset with you if he’s not literally on top you at every moment. With all of his awkward squabbling’s throughout the day, as soon as you’re laying in bed together he tells you how much he loves you and how good of a day he spent with you. Loves you so much even if can’t always find the words <3

you couldn't help but giggle in response, imagining the scene playing out in your head. "what are they teasing you about this time?" you'd ask, already expecting some weirdly hilarious anecdote.

you'd come home from your workplace tired and you just need to spill out your worries and yap yourself to sleep (while cuddling with him)

exhaustion weighed heavy on your shoulders as you drag yourself through the front door, the days work still echoing in your mind. all you wanted was to collapse onto the couch and let your sleep consume you. but, as if sensing your weariness, yeonjun walked in, a comforting presence in the dimly lit room.

without a word, he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a comforting hug. "rough day?" he asked, his voice soft.

you nodded, too drained to form a response. "i just need to rest," you managed to mumble, leaning into his embrace.

"of course," yeonjun whispered, pressing a kiss on your forehead. "i got you."

nestled against his chest, you felt a sense of peace wash over you as fatigue tugged on your eyelids to shut. "i love you." you murmured one last time before drifting off to sleep.

as beomgyu settled beside you, his head finding its usual place on your shoulder. you sensed something was amiss. beomgyu's voice carried a faint edge, a hint of frustration as he recounted the playful argument he'd had with his friend earlier. "you won't believe what soobin said this time!" he began, launching into the details of their playful disagreement.

listening intently, you couldn't help but smile at the animated way he described their exchange, when he reached the climax of his story, his tone shifted, a touch of indignation creeping in. "can you believe he actually said that?" he exclaimed, looking up at you with a mixture of disbelief and annoyance.

you chuckle softly, trying to diffuse the tension with a light-hearted comment. "well, maybe he has a point,"

to your surprise, beomgyu's response was immediate, a mocking gasp escaping his lips as he lifted his head off your shoulder. "you're taking his side??" he protested, a pout forming on his lips.

as if caught off guard, you laughed, reaching out to pull him back into the comfort of your shoulder. "you have to admit, he did have a point,"

reluctantly, he relented, sinking back against your shoulder with a dramatic sigh. "fine, whatever." he conceded, wrapping an arm around your waist.

i can't stress how much i think that he'd be a really really good listener

you can literally yap to him about ANYTHING. one time you were yapping about which goes first; cereal or milk, and he just sits there listening intently (like a good bf 🫶🫶🫶🫶)

you and taehyun lounged on the couch, the conversation drifted to one of those timeless debates; cereal or milk first. with a playful glint in your eye, you launched into your carefully considered stance on the matter, each point delivered with exaggerated seriousness.

"you see," you began. "it's all about logistics. pouring the cereal first allows for better control over portion size and ensures an even distribution of toppings."

taehyun chuckled, shaking his head in amusement as he listened to your impassioned monologue. "but think about it," he countered, his tone teasing. "pouring the milk first prevents the cereal from getting soggy too quickly."

i feel like you'd both yap about your days at work during the weekend, like he'd yap and you listen, vice versa

saturday morning finds you both nestled in the cozy embrace of your shared bed, lazily entwined in the warmth of the sheets. with the sunlight filtering through the blinds, casting a soft glow around you and huening kai, you both indulged in the simple pleasure of sharing details of your whole week.

as you recounted your adventure with your friends from the previous day, huening kai listened with rapt attention, his eyes sparkling with amusement at each twist and turn of your story. "and then," you exclaimed, punctuating your story with exaggerated gestures, "we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a café, tucked away in a quiet corner of the city."

"maybe we should go there sometime!" he recommended, eyes lighting up as you mention the word 'café', suggesting that it could be a new place for you and him to go on a date.

as you both traded anecdotes and shared some laughs, the boundaries between past and present blurred, each memory weaving seamlessly into the fabric of your shared narratives, in the comfort of your shared bed, surrounded by the remnants of sleep and the promise of a lazy morning ahead.

the moment txt members realize there’s romantic potential

members x reader, supposed to be fluffy idk if that gets across ;; wc: ~1.4k a/n: basically txt members suddenly feeling a shift in how they feel towards you. you know, that moment where you suddenly see someone in a different light that had always otherwise been platonic. idk what/how to translate that into a proper title lol gender also isn't really specified but longish hair is implied in taehyun's

yeonjun

when a stranger makes you uncomfortable

yeonjun doesn’t seem to be paying much attention to what’s happening with the buzz of the city being his background music as taehyun and soobin try to figure out the directions on the map for your next stop. meanwhile, beomgyu and kai are busy examining the display stand of the antique store you guys have stopped in front of. and it’s only a minute of silence that yeonjun realizes you’ve stopped telling him the rest of your story about that one time you saw a police officer stopping traffic for a momma duck and her ducklings.

when he turns around to look for you, you’re a few feet away talking to a complete stranger. it seems like you’re exchanging a few words with them and yeonjun is about to pull out his phone to do his own thing when he notices the obvious look of discomfort cross your face. it’s not often that he sees you looking like that, much less in a situation where any of the guys are just a shout away.

his reaction is immediate and he’s by your side in a split second, asking you what’s going on. when you fail to give him a direct answer, however, he’s quick to put an arm around your shoulder and automatically guide you back towards the others. he doesn’t forget to turn back to get a good look at the person, tossing them a dirty look before he’s turning back to check on you.

it’s in that moment where you seem a little smaller than you usually do around his arms with a new sense of relief spreading through your shoulders that yeonjun feels a shift in how he sees you. the protective side of him that came out for you so instantaneously is a newfound feeling.

soobin

when you share your jacket with him

you guys have taken a big group trip to mountainside camping for a weekend getaway. everyone’s agreed on taking a hike up to the nearby waterfall and spread out into smaller groups and pairs on the trail there. the sound of chatter and laughter echoes throughout the forest as everyone falls into a natural pace traveling together with a few people drifting between the small groups to socialize.

the front of the group is led by yeonjun while soobin finds himself lingering towards the back, keeping an eye and count on all the heads. beomgyu and taehyun have proceeded to engage in a small argument about what the best part of camping is while you laugh at their individual claims because there’s no way beomgyu actually thinks fishing (with bare hands) is the best part.

and then there’s a sudden yelp that comes from further up the trail catching all of your attention before the silent question of what happened is answered as a sudden downpour of rain comes pelting down on you guys. the reaction is quick as everyone starts running ahead where a large foliage of trees sits offering cover. by the time that you guys get there though, there’s little space left underneath the tree and the rain is drenching those on the edge of the tree.

soobin is squating on the side when he hears your bright voice and turns around to find you only to see you bounding to him with a big smile and your light jacket above your head as you hold it to cover the both of you from the rain. your smile in that moment is immediately imprinted in his memories as he watches you do your best to shield the rain.

beomgyu

when you watch out for him

typically, beomgyu is the one being rowdy on the sidewalks when you guys go out and about exploring the streets of seoul. however, this time it seems the fun bug has gotten it’s hold on kai and yeonjun as they hoot in unison and hop around excited to get to the new arcade that just opened up. and after a long month of begging, everyone finally agreed on a date to check it out together.

beomgyu was definitely excited as well, but he also became invested in a new mobile game that had just been released. during the entire time that you guys had been walking from the place you had dinner to the arcade, beomgyu’s eyes have been glued to his phone, blindly following everyone else’s lead.

you’re lost in conversation with taehyun and soobin about your favorite part of dinner you just had and the next restaurant you want to try out when you notice that beomgyu has walked past you guys. he’s absolutely laser-focused on beating the boss, thumbs rapidly tapping back and forth no longer paying attention to his surroundings. which means, he also doesn’t see the large pole that he’s walking directly into and-

suddenly beomgyu feels a tug on his the sleeve of his sweater, pulling him towards the side. his eyes remain glued to his screen though right before he deals the final blow. it’s only after the boss is officially dead that beomgyu lifts his head just in time to see you let go of his sleeve, chatting away with taehyun and soobin. in slight confusion, he only realizes that you had been guiding him when he turns to see the large pole where he had been headed in seconds ago before feeling his heart skip a beat.

when you help him clean up

the basketball team had recently adopted a new policy of making those who were late to practice staying behind to sweep the gymnasium as punishment. the coach had said something about it shaping them up and hopefully teaching them to learn better time management and responsibility considering that habit many of the members seemed to have picked up lately.

this time, taehyun had been the one and only member who had been late after a meeting with his advisor went overtime. so in all technicality, it wasn’t because taehyun had bad time management or that he was irresponsible, it was actually something out of his hand. but alas, he was late and coach takes no excuse. so after practice is done and everyone has already packed up and left, taehyun is left alone to sweep up the entire gym by himself.

or so he thought. because he hears the sound of a bag hitting the bleachers before seeing you stepping onto the ground floor as you start tying your hair back to keep it out of your face. he’s surprised that you’ve stayed behind, thinking that as the coach’s assistant, you would have left with the others. instead, you chirp something about how cleaning up together will be a lot faster than cleaning up alone.

taehyun doesn’t realize why he hadn’t noticed this side of you before this moment. because it’s awfully kind of you to have stayed to help and it’s another to have done so with the energy and optimism you have despite having no obligation to.

when you explain things to him gently

kai doesn’t peg himself as the type of person to shy away from help when he needs it. but he also doesn’t avoid challenging himself to try and understand something by himself first before seeking help if he can. especially because it’s no pressing matter and he has plenty of time to read through his notes and textbook to understand dissecting the poetic prose that’s sitting in front of him.

but after an hour goes by and kai still doesn’t seem to be getting a grasp on what the prose is actually talking about and what he’s supposed to interpret, he starts feeling like he’s at a loss. because the examples from his notes and the textbook turned out to have worked in completely different ways than he expected, and all the searches he’s done online don’t exactly touch on what he’s looking to understand either.

it takes him by surprise when you suddenly ask if he needs help from where you’re seated across the table, peering at what he’s looking at before you move to take a seat next to him. he didn’t realize you had noticed how long he’d been stuck on this assignment. a part of him almost feels embarrassed about it, ready to make a remark but it immediately melts away when you start gently explaining exactly what he was confused about.

when you lean towards him and start highlighting a few things on his papers though, kai finds that his little worries immediately melt away. except for the new one that hangs onto the front of his mind as he gets a whiff of your body mist and realizes he actually really likes the way you smell.
