#or smth smth. having a lot of Thoughts. anyways here's the piece i've been working on and sometimes u have to just say Done #there's a lot of thinks but i am maybe a bit tired and so tmr i'll come in and add all the Tags that i'd personally want to get from myself #maybe i'll reblog the extras tmr too. this is an incredibly self indulgent piece + it probably deserves a tag ramble essay or smth #ig for now we see how it stands for itself + in the meantime:#adamandi #beatrix valeria campbell #hello!! i'm back with belated tags yippee!! alright so for funsies i'm going to make it sound like i'm going bonkers over this :3 #the eye shine... the glowy eye... it's like phaethon shine but also smth about eyes to windows to the soul and like #there's two beatrixes here! half the soul. lost part doing things specific to the phaethon and here it's portrayed as tearing off her name #because that's really; truly; when it all starts!! also notable for the ghostly beatrix is i did it more painterly and cloaked in shadow and #fading into the bg. i think i was super duper specificish about where the glow comes from! front lighting back lighting beloved!!! like help #let's put it this way- beatrix face always glowy. important parts of paper also glowy. it's just that different elements are turned away #from the viewer by each beatrix!! also also. let's talk about the very gently implied blood and red etcetera #like the red string is canonical and i love personally the whole red strings of fate thing even though it's not Here Applicable exactly but #that definitely was an influence! and also the blood in the bg... i'm starting to think this is a recurring trend. but anyway shadowy bea #the other strings hang while the red string loops!! so like that one string feels almost alive. it's a sort of whimsical i put on the same #as metaphorical glowy eye!! also also the eye is lowkey influenced by the whole idea of Eyes and Spotlights within the show and also glow #as in power as in heyyy you ever think about writing as a visual medium huh #speaking of writing!! there is no beatrix thingy complete in my head without text sorrry but the black text overlays are always so >>> to me #and in the sense of art styles and overlays shoutout to all the black crosshatching outline thingys because For Some Reason in my mind #of all the characters beatrix feels like the bnw ink printed illustrations you get in books idk #fun fact! i spent so long rendering this and that was fine i liked it! but then trying to figure out text to go on the papers was a Thing #i tried to do. but then gave up on! sometimes i have to pick my battles and graphic design is indubitably Not my passion bc Fonts #fun facts about this is i Actually did start with a quick sketch in mind and there's been so many changed elements. in the og the front #paper for instance had 'ardess murders' written on it and the back one said phaethon interviews.. i like the nominee list better it feels #more narrative-esque and less passive than her just holding her writing.! other elements that got discontinued were that #front beatrix was supposed to blur into the other ghostly beatrix but i couldn't do it without sacrificing clarity so... no... no blurry #oh and the red string morphing at the ends to smth more abstract was always there from the start!! og had more floating papers #and also a silhouette of vincent and a scalpel bc 'one who pulls the strings' but that (pun intended)! got cut (hahahahahahaha) (sorry)#used also to be a lot of print room clutter but that got cut to bc compositionally i made beatrix larger (learned lesson from last art)

[Amy shivers. Shadow can feel it, but does not look.]

Amy: Hey, can I go do something? I'll be right back.

[Shadow nods. Amy puts the Nutcracker recording on pause and hands Rosie off as she gets up to check the thermostat. When she tries to move it, it does not budge.]

Amy: What?

[Her foot catches the letter on the floor. She picks it up to read.]

Amy: Oh for the love of Chaos. Hey, Shadow? Take a look at this.

Shadow: (•ิ_•ิ)?... (/◣/_/◢/)!

Amy: Yeah. 'Have fun' that stupid- I don't know what they did, but I can't move the temperature back up!

[Amy stomps her foot, fists balled at her side. Rosie squeaks in protest and burries her face in Shadow's fluff.]

Amy: Oooh no no no, sweetheart, I'm sorry! Dang it! Ugh...

[Amy crosses her arms, biting her lip as she stares at the paused television. ]

Amy: I-... I feel like the right thing to do would be just cal tonight off. I know you don't care about cold, but Rosie does, and that stupid magic anon... but I don't want you to leave.

Shadow:(⁄ ⁄•⁄_⁄•⁄ ⁄)

Amy: Ah- (〃▽〃) I- well we were having a good time! And there's still dessert! You know, we're almost at the intermission. I~ could make us some hot chocolate! Is- is that...?

Shadow: ...Alright.

Amy: You still wanna stay?

[Shadow nods. Amy beams.]

Amy: Yay! Okay! Let me get that hot chocolate started! Shadow, if you could grab an extra blanket for Rosie from my room and clean up the food, that would be awesome. Chaos, there's still so much left!

Shadow: I told you, I got you extra.

Amy: What?

Shadow: For leftovers.

Amy: ... I know you said you did with the rangoon but- all of-?... You didn't need to do that.

[Shadow shrugs, looking away. There's a pause. Then, amy swoops in to hug them.]

HI HELLO I JUST FINISHED SONIC PRIME PT2 HERES MY OFFICAL REVIEW SPOILERS AHEAD (these thoughts are very unorganised just a warning)

so yeah it was pretty awesome. Nine Villain Arc is gonna be a banger. Shadow gets to say 'I told you so' like 80 different times. Everytime someone turned on Sonic I was like Shadow was right. btw Shadow is so pretty its not fair, liek they weren't even doing anything and i was like pretty,,,,,

Also Chaos Sonic didn't deserve to be hit by a bus like that wtf. and then shot by a lazer. They were so goofy and silly and chaotic i miss them :(

ALSO ALSO I LITERALLY PRESSED THE PAUSE BUTTON SO HARD WHEN SONIC SAID "I heart you too Shadow" I HAD TO TAKE A MINUTE TO PROCESS. WHO DID THIS I NEED A WORD. I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE.

anyway, Prime Sonic might be my favourite because he has really good emotional moments (like nine turning on him) while also being silly and chaotic. The end with his Paradox power up (which i wish to call Paradox Sonic) when he was talking to himself also really reminded me of Movie Sonic (and when he high fived himself!? ohmygod thats my blorbo right there)

Im a very big believer in 'Please let Dread come back and cause more problems because hes so delightful' when he grabbed onto the Mothership and i was just like DREAD. DREAD NO.

Lunar duo idea Enlisting Manaphy to try and help unstick the two pairs with Heart Swap ends up being a temporary solution, sorta , the effects are temporary like 3 -4 days and the next full / new moon Ingo and Akari end up in Darkrai and Cresselia’s bodies! Ingo spends all day hiding in his brother’s shadow wigged out

listen. at least Ingo still has hands. yeah, he doesn't have legs anymore and he suddenly understands all too keenly why Darkrai insists on floating everywhere, but at least he has hands. Which is... more than Akari can currently say. She doesn't have hands anymore!! Sure, she can move things with her mind now apparently, but that doesn't change the fact that she doesn't have them!!!

They are both definitely having the world's weirdest time. And yeah, lmao- Ingo figures out how to hide in Emmet's shadow and spends most of the day in there. Just... nope. Not dealing with this. How did Darkrai and Cresselia even get a handle on their bodies so quickly? They're so different!!

They definitely get this fixed like, ASAP. The old way was better, thanks!
