I know the Netflix/Defenders/Marvel Spotlight shows will NEVER have What If episodes of their own. What If's more of a "Have goofy, silly fun" kind of series that rarely goes to the dark places that Daredevil or Jessica Jones do, and even then there's not the same maturity that those shows have.

...But gosh dang it, a sick, twisted part of me WANTS a What If episode about what if Jessica Jones stayed with Killgrave. I don't mean that time when she was mind controlled. I mean what if she stayed with him to use his powers for good, sacrificing her freedom to force a monster to become a hero, only for that to slowly fail as Killgrave finds his acts of heroics boring and wants to take on bigger challenges. Or, possibly, take on bigger HEROES.

It'd be all kinds of FUCKED and will likely make a ton of people a little uncomfortable...but I still weirdly want to see what that would look like.

Watching Daredevil for the first time in FOREVER. I took a break cause, frankly, this show can be triggering as fuck. Though not as bad as Jessica Jones — that first season is a brilliant 10⭐️ and absolutely terrifying mindfuck and a half. Like if I had to choose between going up against Fisk or Kilgrave

I’d pick Fisk.

Every fucking time, I’d pick Fisk.

🚨Spoilers Ahead🚨

What makes Kilgrave — AKA The Purple Man — so absolutely terrifying is not only his mind controlling abilities but his complete disregard for his victims and the aftermath of his decisions. Kilgrave does not kill you — he takes complete control and abuses you, makes you do things you would never consider doing had you been not been under his control.

In the comics, Kilgrave obsessively stalks Jessica Jones even after she is married and takes her prisoner multiple times.

It eventually results in an unwanted pregnancy.

I’ve been advised not to read those arcs, but I’m a self-sabotaging edgelord /s Not really — not on purpose anyway. I relate to Jessica because of my own history of abuse is all and I feel like I need to read her story in all of its gory detail. Because in a way, it helps — its cathartic knowing that even a superhero can go through things that I’ve gone through myself.

I need to see that even a superhero can hurt the way I do and, yeah, I realize how completely fucked up that is. But I also want to share in Jessica’s grieving and I feel like I can’t do that properly until I get the full story. There’s a good chance we will never get the full story from Disney — Jessica’s story is R-rated while the rest of the MCU is barely PG-13. So the only way to get that story is by reading the comics.

I’m gonna take a break now cause I am seriously about to start crying.
