Charlotte LinLin (Big Mom) Headcanon Nit-Pick...
There is a frequent nitpick that comes up when it comes to LinLin and her many many children... is that she would have to been pregnant constantly to have that many children. So during flashbacks in her younger days we see her as this "skinny sexy momma" many fans go "she doesn't even look preggos"....
So, the majority speculate "She's in-between children" during events like God Valley or Kaido's joining the Rocks....
But... reallllly think about it....
Linlin is around 30ft tall... and even at her 'skinniest' would've been like 600-800lbs easily.... most of her children were average sized when they were born, and many of them are still less than 1/3rd her size as adults. So most of her babies would've been well under 15lbs at birth. Which 15lbs to someone that was already 750+lbs would barely even show... About the only time it would show is during one of those years she was having multiple children at once, and even then she may only look half-term if she was proportional to a smaller woman. The time she had 10-children at once sounds freakin crazy on paper, but a normal sized woman In The Real World carried 8-children to survival term (Octo-mom), a 30ft tall woman with ten 6-10lb babies, would've actually been proportionally correct to her size for once and she had likely been able to carry them to full term.
So yeah. she may have been pregnant during God Valley, but wasn't showing. It was one of those years she had a single child (Mont-d'Or), and as an adult he's 8ft 6in and likely been closer to a normal sized baby/child. (During Brulee's flashbacks, Katakuri and Peros (whom all three are taller than Mont-d'Or is) were near the same height and near the same size as the other children in the port they were staying at.)

There's this Aida "highlights" album on spotify that does not include the judgment scene and it's so irritating for me personally. If that's not a highlight of the opera then what is, pray tell

Hannibal's Opera Taste
Recently I have been listening and learning more about opera and it has made me curious about what operas Hannibal would like.
First one is Alban Berg's Wozzeck, it has this slightly off sound when you listen to it; it can be more complex considering one of the early statements in it is that it is easy to be moral when you are rich
Another one I think he would like is Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky, especially if you consider the riot that happened when it first was performed. This one is a ballet, but my point still stands
Some i feel are more obvious, Dido and Aeneas, Barber of Seville, and Don Giovanni
If i am completely honest there are a lot of operas that could fit the bill, especially if one of the conditions you consider is tragedy
Some of them sound a bit more classic opera, while others are a bit more strange sounding and i feel that fits
Might make more if i think of ones that would really fit

There's a really fascinating riff in here about the types of thinking that are encouraged by cars as a technology. There are a hundred obvious and pressing problems with cars (what with all the murder and mutilation and the wrecking of the planet), but I feel like this is the subtlest and hardest to quantify. How does it change us *politically*, living in car-dependent societies? How does it influence the way we apprehend the world?
"What struck me is how quickly and easily you become a sociopath, even a borderline eugenicist, behind the wheel; everyone else is the problem, there are too many people here, this would all be fine if it weren't for all these OTHER people, etc. And then you connect that to all other politics, and it unlocks so much. People don’t want more neighbors because of traffic. Not wanting more neighbors is a short trip to some really dark beliefs. And it's literally just a mood tied to driving. I've never walked to the park and been upset at how many other people decided to walk to the park that day! Regularly driving in American cities is the fastest route to Malthusian thinking and it's entirely about traffic and parking."

I am extremely bored and crave some discourse that no one who follows me gives a fuck about, so here are my ratings of Finnish metal vocalists, for absolutely no other reason than said boredom. All my data is probably ten years old at this point because I stopped paying attention to new music long ago. My apologies if someone learned to sing since the last time I checked.
Certified good: Tarja Turunen
Actually good, aka on par with the average female metal vocalist: Tomi Joutsen
Not actually good, but absolutely brilliant anyway: Jari Mäenpää, Mathias Nygård, Tony Kakko pre-Unia
The quality clearly isn't the point, so whatever: Jonne Järvelä, Mathias Lillmåns
Who thought this was a good idea: Tony Kakko post-Unia, Marko Hietala, Tuomas Holopainen
I literally could do better myself: Petri Lindroos
