My shoulder has been fighting me, and I still need to figure out how to make digital sketches that mean things to anyone but me (although I can make them now!! That's something!!), so have a low-effort meme doodle of the possible aftermath of my previous post. (Look, Hooty is long and twisty and comes out of doors, and a post-episode chat with some of the TOH cast and crew implied that a book describing Hooty's ecology would drive people insane. I don't make the rules.)

Hunter’s Hooty mask theory *Watching and Dreaming Spoilers under the cut*

I honestly can't tell if this parallel is meant to mean something or not but I felt the need to point it out. It had been on my mind since TtT what the significance of Hooty's mask on Hunter was. It felt like something that the show would typically use to foreshadow or allude to something past or present but I just couldn't figure out how Luz + Hunter = King + Hooty specifically.

Luz as King more or less made sense either as symbolism for how much she missed him, or as a foreshadowing of her gaining Titan powers(one of many theories at the time, but one that came true, so it's safe to call it foreshadowing now.). But I just couldn't figure what Hooty, of all possible masks Hunter could have had, was supposed to mean, except that it looked a lot like his Golden Guard mask(maybe that *was* the reason all along and I'm overthinking it, but that seems a bit backwards for his character arc, since the show usually hints at future things.). Now I think maybe Hunter using a Hooty mask alongside Luz's Titan mask, when the titan has some Hooty-like creature with it two episodes later, was a nod at one of the many dropped and lost plotlines. It's bugged me since he first appeared that his mask looked so much like Hooty and Eda’s hood charm, and yet no one in the show made so much as a wisecrack about it, but maybe the GG mask looking like Hooty was planned from the very start to match with Luz and the Titan in the end in some version of the final battle that never came to be.

of course she went headlong into it. as if she could do anything to help the man. she stumbled and he reaches for her, helping her to stand up. he keeps his hand steady there against her back. watching the man run off he doesn't know what to do. for a moment he's just standing there before he lets out a laugh. or what sounds like one. it's a hoarse sound, comes off half way hacking actually. but it's bloody hilarious, isn't it? that the stories would be true! that they had come here only to find that every bloody story actually paled in --

once his laughter dies down he shifts just a little so he can look down at her. even though he doesn't let her go. he lets out a breath before he reaches out to steady her a little bit. his hands fall away from her. he looks after him and then - well, he's about to talk but then he hears another scream, another indescribable noise. he straightens, his jaw tenses, and he looks away off in the direction of the noise. it sounds like it's coming from all around, doesn't it?

"we're not going after that…" but it's too late, isn't it? because he can feel eyes on him. he double checks that the camera is on. "well, if we're going to die might as well have some really good footage of it, right?" he says with a small scoff before he leads the way. and there's two of them, looking lost and - bloody terrible. their hair a mess and there's an insanity to their eyes that sends chills down his back. he holds his hand out to hold her back. "elayne, i don't think you're going to get them to talk…maybe we should…run?"

Was decorating a home in game when I saw an odd blur in the sky. Low and behold it was this majestic low-poly wonder of a bird which was flapping it's marvelous low-poly wings. He's kinda cute.
