CotF Zelda Armor Sets – 2
Tumblr media
TotK Sheik TotK Sheik TotK Sheik
Ancient Zelda (daughter of King Rauru and Queen Sonia) had to use her own Sheik disguise, at some point... Here's Zelda with the same set! More on it when the story reaches that point.
Small Update: A good portion of Chapter 3 is done, so it should be close to the revision stage! I've admittedly been writing a bit ahead instead of focusing on the current chapter, sorry. I'll get there soon!!

A Gift
Tumblr media
This is one of my contributions to @zelinkcommunity's Zelink Week 2023! Day Seven: Free Day
Look below the break to read! Zelink Week may be coming to a close, but there's plenty of content to look over! I recommend doing so, everyone has been posting great stuff.
{ For this week, I have been posting a little peek at art/writing for memories in Call of the Forgotten, a TotK rewrite I am working on (there will obviously be direct and indirect spoilers for TotK). These memories have been posted out of order and are subject to change. They follow the Ancient Hero and Princess during the time of the First Great Calamity, an aftershock of the Imprisoning War. }
Memory ?? – A Gift
( Words – 601 )
Princess Zelda sits upon stone at the edge of Hyrule Field, a small flower with white and blue petals resting in her hands. Its delicate petals are soft against her fingertips. This bittersweet-scented blossom had risen from where her tears hit the soil, as they have every time she's come to the heart of the land. Today, the princess has arrived to oversee the progress on the new castle– one designed to remind the world of what lies beneath it– but has kept her distance. Zelda had expected the wave of sorrow. The castle has been in progress for nearly a decade, and the descent into grief at this site has become routine. She would rather keep it hidden away.
Gently nestling the flower in her hair, Zelda's gaze trails to the towers themselves. The Sheikah constructed spires of their own when she was young and gifted with prophecy. The towers of the new castle, however, now rival them in stature. Soon it will be complete enough to serve as a place of residence as opposed to the old abbey-turned-palace upon the Great Plateau. Regardless, it appears compact for a castle. At least it will fulfill its purpose, she tells herself. There will no doubt be expansions as Hyrule grows.
Her thoughts wander through the fate of Hyrule in the years to come. An aftershock of the Imprisoning War looms in the near future; so close it is like a memory she has watched unfold for countless lifetimes. She will do whatever it takes in the time remaining to be sure Hyrule has time to flourish into the kingdom its King and Queen hoped for, but… can she be sure the warning they sent to her will be enough? Can this land truly rest in her hands, as young as she is? Perhaps– with all of Hyrule united– it will not be her duty alone.
As if he read her mind, Link's footsteps fade into audibility behind her. The princess's long ears perk up at the sound before she turns her head back to see him. Her friend had disappeared some time ago, although they had come to the site together. Now, he returns; but he is entirely covered in dirt. The limp body of a boar is slung over his shoulders in a rather impressive show of his natural strength. It doesn't seem to bother him at all. In a predictable contrast, Zelda's expression is entirely bothered. Her eyes are stuck wide and open for a solid minute, only halted when Link presents the dead animal to her. She blinks.
"I went hunting!" He finally cracks a small grin and speaks up. "I caught this for you." Link is observant enough to know something was wrong when they neared this place. He figured a gift may lift her spirits some.
"...Link, that is–" Zelda is at a loss for words. The gesture is… very sweet, but it's quite obvious from the boar's appearance that Link killed it with a blade rather than an arrow. "...Uhm... Thank you." Moving past how she is mildly disturbed, the princess stands up and makes sure her eyes rest on Link instead of his kill. "I was getting hungry; anyway. Why don't we find someone at the camp to help us prepare it for cooking?"
Zelda can see Link slowly reach for his blade again, but she subtly just lowers it with her own hand. She's sure he can skin it himself, but she'd rather they just spend some time together in a more sanitary manner. He simply nods and lets her lead the way.
Thank you for reading! Check out the first concept doodles of the First Calamity here! Obviously, this is all very incomplete; but most is planned out thoroughly! If you have questions, just ask!

She came back to herself, face to face with Ganon, encased in his glowing chains and prison.
Zelda was miniscule before him, but she was not afraid. She would not fall for his illusions and tricks; she would not give into his hatred. She would not let his power overwhelm her.
Zelda stood tall and thought of everyone she’d known and loved. The friends she hoped to see again.
Link, Impa, Purah and Robbie were waiting for her. She had to apologise to Dorephan. She had to put the souls of the Champions and Father, and all those lost to the Calamity, to rest.
She had to see Link again.
“Calamity Ganon,” Zelda said, her voice once more echoing with those of her ancestors. “You will not leave this Sanctum.”
*
Deep within Hyrule Castle, Zelda fights to contain Ganon. Her dearest hope is to see her best friend once more.

the most fucked up thing about ace attorney being set in 2016 is that anyone who has been following me for a long time and knows the lore knows that 2016 fundamentally broke me as a person and i died, which is not hyperbole like i'm plural and i faded from the headspace and another member of the system had to revive me and i came back wrong and also with amnesia that has taken years to combat, all this sounds insane but its my actual lore
anyways even though my death was in like december, me and the only friend i really had left on the tail end of it decided the whole thing 'started' on the last day of the weekend of PAX west 2016, september 5th. which is the day mia died.

Biporjoy cyclone in Karachi
Tumblr media
Biporjoy is a word for calamity and disaster in Bengali. The name of this cyclone came from Bangladesh after the orders from the World Metrological Organization also known as WMO to guarantee quick warning messages for the citizens.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA);  Tropical Cyclone "BIPARJOY" has weakened into a "Very Severe Cyclonic Storm" (VSCS) - Category 3, with sustained wind speeds of approximately 140-150 km/h and gusts up to 170 km/h. Its current location is near Latitude 20.7° N and Longitude 67.1° E, roughly 460 km south of Karachi and 450 km south of Thatta & 565km south-east of Ormara.
The areas that are most likely to be affected are Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Tharparkar, Karachi and many more.
The formation of the biporjoy cyclone occurred, due to the disturbing weather conditions because of which, low-pressure areas were created that became a base for the cyclone. Along with this, the warm temperatures on the surface of the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal resulted in vigorous oceanic circulations through which the energy and heat kept generating and became fuel for the cyclone.
Apart from these meteorological factors, scientists confirm that global warming has also played a vital role in the rising of sea levels, increment of the heat contents in the ocean, and sudden climatic changes which led to the formation of the biporjoy cyclone.
The potential impacts of the cyclone will most likely be heavy rains, urban flooding, and rough sea levels which will prevent the fishermen from working. Also, we are most likely to lose all the vulnerable structures due to heavy winds.
According to a news report, NDMA has requested people to stay away from ports and shorelines. Moreover, the authorities have transferred people from Kati Bandar to a distance of 10 km from the coastal areas to prevent loss of lives. Their residence has been set in government institutions and schools which are most likely unaffected by heavy storms.
Along with this, other emergency departments have ensured 24-hour availability for the time being. The government has also sent notices to the buildings which are most likely to get destroyed during heavy winds, to get vacant asap for the safety of the citizens.
In the previous years of natural disasters in Pakistan, international people were staying hand in hand to help the fellows in crisis. Also in the last cyclonic disaster, the weather departments did not alert before the disaster which led to many deaths. But this year the alerts as well as the precautionary measures are taken beforehand which we all hope will lead us to less damage than expected.
Biporjoy cyclone is one of the destructive powers of nature but with all the hopes and prayers towards Allah almighty, we hope that we don't lose any more precious lives in this calamity.

How am I supposed to cope with the fact that it is HEAVILY IMPLIED if not practically canon that Link and Zelda lived together post botw
Link can still sleep in the bed.
The table is set for two 🥹
Zelda had to have a separate room built for ‘privacy’ and Link’s hair tie and is found there. Why would she need privacy if she lived alone? Plus having to hide his new champions tunic in the throne room??? Can’t hide it in the house if they both live there
Zelda even states that Link hasn’t left her side since they were reunited 🥹 kill me I’m so fucking emotional about this
It’s referred to as ‘Zelda’s house’ but in Japanese I believe in her diary she just calls it ‘the house’ (again, I’m not positive but localizations have applied ownership where the Japanese version lacks it)
Symin says “oh! You’re back in town, link!” And then “if you’re here alone then Princess Zelda must still be missing” which implies Link does still live there and that he’s literally always with Zelda (which we been knew)
Remember that while the side quest for the house was optional, it would have been torn down if Link didn’t buy it. It’s still there. So it’s safe to assume that canonically, Link did the majority if not all the side quests in botw.
Like fuck this I’m so fucking upset Link spent years by Zelda’s side, is referred to as an ADULT, and now they’re separated AGAIN. I’m. Im fucking emotional. This is everything I wanted from the sequel which is a pretty clear indication that zelink are together like what the fuck Nintendo. What the fuck.

To Control Fate
Tumblr media
This is my contribution to @zelinkcommunity's Zelink Week 2023! Day One: Yearning
Look below the break to read! Be sure to check out everyone else's work, as well! They did great!
{ For this week, I will be posting a little peek at art/writing for memories in Call of the Forgotten, a TotK rewrite I am working on (there will obviously be direct and indirect spoilers for TotK). Memory ?? – To Control Fate
( Word Count - 641 )
Link exits the Spring of Power, following Princess Zelda's shadow as it travels across the grass in the twilight. His focus rests solely on a mask in his hands within the silence. Unlike the two attached to his hip, this one bears the face of a boar. For some reason that eludes him, this is taunting.
"Link?" The princess's gentle voice is dissonant with the uneasy feeling over the valley. He knows she feels it too. She hasn't spoken since the Triforce of Power awakened with her second purification; until now, of course. Link lifts his head only slightly, his eyes being the only real indication he's paying attention. "Do you… know why the boar is associated with Din?" To this, he merely shakes his head. From what he remembers, his own tribe shared similar imagery– but that was solely based upon the Zonai Ruins they lived amidst. He will never know for certain that they understood a proper origin. Link catches Zelda's gaze shifting to the sword on his back as she specifies, "The spirit of your sword spoke to me again when the piece appeared to me. The Triforce of Power, created by Din, was long within the grasp of darkness. The monster that led the Old Hyrule to its ruin on multiple occasions before it collapsed from its exhaustion… it took the shape of a monster resembling a boar. I believe… deep within The Demon King's heart, he is a similar beast. Power is a creature of its own. It is to have the ability one believes can control fate itself."
"...It can be confused with courage." Link mumbles under his breath. It didn't get past Zelda, however, whose attention now rests upon him. She stops in her tracks until Link is directly at her side. "I remember them believing courage was their power. They fell." It takes only a second for the princess to process who 'they' were.
"Link–" She begins, unsure what sort of response to give. Zelda knew the same had transpired with her own family– Impa and the Sages had witnessed it all. "...The Demon King yearns to control the destiny of an entire world. The coming Calamity proves it. One will go such great lengths to gain that hand over all… but we will reach further. I will not rest until we have."
The princess continues her path, but allows her pace to synchronize with Link's. It is… comforting, in a rather sickening way, to walk alongside someone with a parallel past. It makes this second war to come much less… lonesome. How selfish it is of her to think that way. She knows she should not long for someone to understand what she has seen. Everyone she knows misses someone who died at a monster's hand… but not many carry the burden of preventing another such disaster from being allowed. They both, in their own way, wish for control over the prophecy set before them. Zelda is certain of it. Link has begun to open up to her, after all.
One day, they will. Zelda promises it to herself.
Perhaps she and Link could have, under different circumstances, met and shared their burdens– not of the future, but of the origins that they have burned from their memory. Perhaps she would have been able to pour out all that she had seen in her time in hiding with Impa, and she would have listened as he did the same. The heavens know they both need it. The princess knows better than to depend on an assurance of a future, but she cannot deny it: every part of her clings to this idea of a reality. She wants nothing more than to take the time to allow their hearts to comprehend all that has suffocated them, without a threat choking them from ahead.
Thank you for reading! Check out the first concept doodles of them here! Obviously, this is all very incomplete; but most is planned out thoroughly! If you have questions, just ask!
