In no particular order because I don’t think there’s a winner here:
Shmi “He Deserves More Than A Slaves Life” Skywalker. Anakin was literally the only thing she had in the universe. She taught him to care for others and stand up for what’s right. And she loved him enough to let him go. If Anakin had been able to follow her example regarding love the Galaxy would have been a different place.
Owen “He Is My Own” Lars and Beru “We’re Enough” Whitesun Lars. I could write an essay on them. They knew the risk, they knew the danger, and they took him in. More than that: they loved him. They taught him to work hard and do what’s right. They, too, loved him enough to let him go. Prolonging the inevitable as long as they could, sure, but weren’t going to hold him back from the life he wanted and squash his spirit by keeping him safe on the farm forever either (one more season!) They protected him and gave their lives for him.
Bail and Breha “You Are An Organa In Every Way” Organa.
In this house we stan Bail and Breha Organa. Far more than Owen and Beru could even begin to fathom they understood what was at stake. Bail witnessed the attack on The Temple with his own eyes and knew exactly what would happen if Leia was found. But he and Breha had already been fighting for what is right - been fighting the Empire before it was even formed. They were committed. And they raised Leia to continue that fight even after she had lost everything herself. They are the true embodiment of family being far more than blood and ironically, raised a daughter who would carry on the legacy of Padme and (Clone Wars General/pre fall)Anakin: Leia spent her life dedicated to the service of others and democracy and fiercely defended what is right.

i may talk about him a lot, but it's never enough, so here are five new facts about the king of my blog aka grant 👑
when grant wants to feel something, he'll watch videos of the curiosity rover on mars singing happy birthday to itself 🎂 it's so incredibly sad but cute to him, so it immediately turns on the waterworks lolol 🥲
objectively, grant is NOT a car guy; he's 110% an airplane guy. however, he owns a car that makes him look like a car guy and gets him approached ALL THE TIME by people who want to talk cars. it's a 1960 ford galaxie and it looks like this, except i think it would be a nice shade of light, almost minty green or maybe blue (no, i haven't decided, and probably won't because there's no cc version of this car for the sims 4, so we'll never see it lol) 💚💙
why is that his car? 🚗 well, it was his grandparents' car, which he bought off them when they wanted to replace it; they have never had a garage or a carport in their entire life, so the car was exposed to the elements for fifty years, and it was, thus, fucked up. they were also tired of fixing it. however, it's a sentimental car because aoife and joseph met working on the same production line at a ford auto factory, and this car was the first one they bought as a couple in their marriage (even though aoife ironically does not know how to drive lmao). they wanted it gone but also didn't, you know, so grant bought it because he also didn't want to see it gone; he'd spent his whole life sandwiching into that backseat with 8 billion of his cousins. oh, aaandddd he bought it even though the necessary repairs were extensive, which he did all by himself with help from his grandparents and uncle (aka people who know shit about cars)
a shorter fun fact: he smokes luckies 🫢
grant has been on TV before! it was very brief, for like five seconds, but he was interviewed by his hometown news station after his high school hockey team won the state championship game one year and he was granted the MVP title. he was very nervous, and his friends ended up nicknaming him "mr. team effort" because his entire interview was him just saying things like, "oh, um, well, it was a team effort, and we worked really hard...together...as a team..."

Take 6 I guess...
Wow. Just everything about that is wrong.
A cool visual here or there for sure. Whale falls in space? Fucking impeccable. The Chimaera fixed up with the gold plating? Very pretty. The weird Dark Crystal horse thing? Strangely cute.
Getting some Baylan backstory was nice, and he continues to the MVP both acting and writing-wise.
Have I run out of nice things to say? Yes
First off, fuck the 'a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away' shit. This show has not earned that! Not in the slightest!!!
Also I know it's supposed to be super mega turbo hyperspace…but still, it looked like utter shit. I can't understand how a show with this level of budget keeps shitting out crappy visuals...Oh wait it's Disney! Nevermind, makes total sense.
All the stuff with the nightsisters? FUCKING DUMB. Nowadays, no one cares about the nightsisters anymore unless it's Merrin or Ventriss, and Elsbeth is a far cry from either of them. I was worried from the start when the map temple was clearly nightsister in origin, and Elsbeth being revealed as one in hiding made absolutely no sense. It's weird and very much Filoni throwing darts at Clone Wars arcs he wants to rehash and recon. Also, the live action Mothers are lacking the grandiose nature that made Talzin have such compelling character design.
The fact that Sabine never slipped the cuffs seemed deeply weird. As did Thrawn somehow having an entire battalions-worth of Stormtroopers who survived the ship crash. There was also a throwaway line about some of the rando bandits on the world being Jedi trained, which REALLY came out of nowhere, but is clearly setting up Ezra having learned new skills.
Oh and Ezra shows up, is ALSO wearing noticeable contacts (blue). He looks way too old, and I felt absolutely nothing when he and Sabine hugged.
Okay, on to why we are all here...Thrawn
Let's start of with the mandatory FUCK YOU FILONI.
There was weirdly bad music through this entire sequence too, which was glaringly noticeable. Just to you know...set the mood for the butchering going on.
HE'S TOO PALE!!! They colored him like everything else in this show, copied whatever colors Rebels used, and then mutes the hell out of it. So everything looks washed out and sad. Also I don't know what it is about the eyes that feels off but there's something there that hits uncanny valley in a way that I feel could have been easily avoidable...
Yeah, and all the 'Army of the Dead' rumors that have been going around are all confirmed. They are literally emptying the catacombs of this ancient nightsister city directly into the cargo hold of the Chimera. It's so dumb. I hate this.
Two more episodes left, and given the rate of the leaks being true, it's probably gonna end on a cliffhanger, which is gonna be fucking stupid. So yeah. I'm gonna go scroll @ascyndic's blog so my eyes can rest and look at some incredible art of how Chiss should look...And potentially reread @furiosophie's fucking incredible post·mor·tem series to get a hit of realistic Thrawn characterization...as opposed to whatever this gross HttE ripoff swill we got.s

Today is the 30th anniversary of Power Rangers! What are some of your favorite teams, characters, theme songs, moments and/or zords from the show?⚡️⚡️⚡️
This moment is always going to tickle the fuck out of me.
When it comes to favorites Zack was my dude and the entire universe had love for Kimberly. Like, I would have Hip Hop Kido'd my ass through all of Rita's forces to save her too. Part of me wanted to throw hands with Tommy solely over her but as time went on I really couldn't even try to deny that he was an MVP.

I'm also going to always be a mark for this scene. When it comes to this movie I absolutely love their version of the theme and above all else the suits they used in this film.
That's my favorite versions of the suits ever. I also really liked the ninja variations they get towards the end of the movie. Costume design to me was just A-fucking-1 for this film
and I mean that.
I saw some other series here and there like Lightspeed Rescue, Lost Galaxy, Dino Thunder and the Turbo movie but Mighty Morphin was always going to be the one for me at the end of the day.
Once & Always really hit home in a lot of ways with getting to go back to that world and acknowledging the losses in the series and in life.
Also, while the suits can be debated from now until the end of time I really was a fan of the 2017 film. That movie not being given a chance for more is always going to be a crime in my eyes. Especially considering how well that cast worked on and off screen. Studios left a lot of chemistry on the table.
And you better believe one of my personal favorite moments was when they teamed up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I'mma also use his moment to say SOMEBODY needs to do Venus again. Like, I fucking dare them. Next Mutation was an era; it happened and I refuse to forget it.

And of course this is a moment that you just can't not bring up as a franchise highlight. Power Rangers is eternal spanning several generations and Jason David Frank was there for damn near all of them. He truly was the living, breathing legacy of Power Rangers.

There's something very significant here about Anakin walking away with his lightsaber in the same position as the one he'd had walking toward the Jedi Temple during Knightfall.
Huyang's description of Anakin as "intense" is so right lol.

Closing thoughts Next episode is called the Final Episode? Huh, feels a little weird to title something that. I doubt this series is gonna get another season (Really wish it would, it’s done pretty damn solid storytelling for the amount going on and the small amount of episodes it has. Though still it definitely could have benefited from more episodes and a little more time to breathe and develop certain plots)
I mean hopefully maybe it’ll at least get a movie (Gundam 00 did it) or a spinoff at worst (freaking Gundam Seed had like 3 right?) So here’s hoping we get to see more of this Gundam timeline cause damn, they made a solid and fun anime with this one. Last episode I’m almost positive we’re gonna get Delling talking about what exactly happened to Notrette and why he made Quiet Zero (I’m still positive it’s a Gendo Ikari thing, I’ll eat a hat if I’m wrong.) and also, hopefully we’ll finally get to hear wedding bells!! Get the best dresses! Chuchu should be Miorine’s maid of honor and Guel should Suletta’s best man! Don’t @ me.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus Crew have turned their bold, possession-centric style into the league's ultimate prize, capturing MLS Cup 2023 presented by Audi with a 2-1 win over LAFC.
Head coach Wilfried Nancy's team produced a masterclass performance Saturday at rain-soaked Lower.com Field, resulting in the Eastern Conference club's third-ever MLS Cup after their 2008 and 2020 squads also entered the history books as champions.
First-half goals from Cucho Hernández (33') and Yaw Yeboah (37') gave Columbus a cushion to absorb a Dénis Bouanga (74') lifeline, denying LAFC's MLS Cup repeat quest. In the process, head coach Wilfried Nancy's group has climbed the 29-team mountaintop that began with MLS is Back weekend on Feb. 25.
Before raising the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy, Columbus pulled ahead through Cucho's authoritative penalty kick – helping him earn MLS Cup MVP presented by Audi honors and finish with an Audi MLS Cup Playoffs co-leading five goals. That opportunity arose when referee Armando Villarreal pointed to the spot, judging LAFC defender Diego Palacios to have handled a flicked-up touch from Diego Rossi.
The Crew, the league's highest-scoring team in 2023, quickly doubled their advantage when Yeboah capped an 11-pass buildup. The Crew's left wingback was on the receiving end of Malte Amundsen's line-splitting through ball, then sliced home an outside-the-foot finish past goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau.
But, as was so often the case in 2023, Bouanga would not be silenced. The Best XI forward slipped a second-effort shot past goalkeeper Patrick Schulte, drawing him level with teammate Carlos Vela for the most calendar-year goals (38) in MLS across all competitions (Vela's MVP-winning 2019).
The Black & Gold's late push fizzled out, though. And the hosts, after seven minutes of second-half stoppage time, were left dancing as champions.

Ahsoka S1E8
That was in line with the rest of the season, I guess. So I'm going to sort of combine my review of this ep and the entire series
Things I liked:
Huyang (absolute MVP of the entire series, a new fave)
Ezra
The conversation between Huyang and Ezra, building lightsabers
Ezra coming home and Chopper recognizing him
The Mortis statues and how dramatic Baylan looked on top of them
The visuals and fights in general were pretty cool
Negative stuff behind the cut
Things I didn't like:
The episode title! 'The Jedi, The Witch and the Warlord'. Really, Dave?
Lack of Baylan (and even Shin)
Morgan getting a shiny new sword. She's a witch, could we not have come up with anything else?
Thrawn simply isn't that scary (yet?)
And the big one: Ahsoka herself. I've grown to like most of the characters, but I realized I simply don't like this version of Ahsoka. Maybe they tried a bit too hard to make her cool?
Things I hate:
They way they handled Ahsoka 'reconciling' her feelings about Anakin. It seems like she's mostly concerned about turning evil herself, and Baylan hinted at a specific incident, but we're never told more. After her vision she's also immediately a diehard Anakin stan right away? Like, what? I get that she'd be cool acknowledging he was a good master to her and that she can cherish those memories, but he was still Vader for 20-odd years. You'd think someone would mention it.
Sabine suddenly being Force-sensitive/there being no such thing because *everyone* is Force-sensitive and you just have to 'unlock your potential'. I genuinely thought/hoped that at the end of this series everyone was going to come to the sensible realization that that's nonsense and Sabine's fine being a Mandalorian. But alas.
The rule against attachments is out of the window, I guess? I mean yeah, we unleashed a warlord on the galaxy, but our friend is (hopefully!) safe, so you did good? FFS Ahsoka, you really are your master's apprentice.
The entire show felt as if Filoni was clearing out his drafts or maybe his bucket list or something? Just one cool SW thing after another. Which sounds great, except none of it was properly explored or resolved. Some of it still could be, but I'm not even sure if they're interested in doing that? It made the show very unsatisfying at times.

Fire across the galaxy. Enjoy the season 1 finale and looking forward to more. I was surprise that the Grand Inquisitor went so soon, figure he was going to be main antagonist throughout the show. Fulcrum was guessing it was Ahsoka I already knew Ahsoka was win rebels as I saw clips before but happy to see more Ahsoka. We got Bail and Vader. Looking forward to season 2.
Same. With how hyped people were to see him in the Kenobi show, I would've figured he'd be a major villain for the entirety of Rebels. I suppose it shows that the stakes are going to get a lot higher with Vader seemingly coming in as a replacement.
I also knew Ahsoka was in Rebels ahead of time, but it was still cool to see her again! Very much looking forward to getting more of her in season 2.
With every appearance, I love Bail Organa more and more. This guy was the MVP of the Rebellion. So much wouldn't have happened without him.

thank you!! i’m glad you liked the spores plot because i was really trying to piece together what felt like a whole lot of plot holes, but i think it came out halfway decent!! el and lucas’s plot is one of my favorites of this season. i’m very excited to continue developing their relationship! and MAX omg you have no ideaaaaaa how excited i was to write that part! i’ve been trying to figure out what to do with her FOREVER, and it finally came to me in the middle of the night a few weeks ago. truly a galaxy-brain moment. also, i’m really excited to continue developing her and terry’s plot, because i have so much planned!! i feel like i haven’t really seen anyone go this direction with max yet, so i’m very happy with how it’s going. the quarry scene has been planned for almost a year now, if you can believe it! it was one of the first scenes i ever dreamt up for this fic. some parts of it, like the callback to the rain fight and season 1, were added on afterwards. it was so exciting to write, because i just kept thinking of more and more ways to make it even better! i think the scene of mike jumping really works as a post-credit. & i definitely wanted to give robin and argyle some more screentime in this one!! dustin is absolutely the mvp, love him to pieces🫂
