~ hiya meet Marcy the magic space cotton candy chinchilla 🌟💫🍭she’s the twin sister of Elfilin. Have some lore info about her She escape the labs of the forgotten land thanks to Elfilin. Unlike Elfilin she has goodness all in her, also can create portals but doesn’t feel drained out in anyway. But Elfilin doesn’t due to his other half. When the people wanted to do experiments plan on Marcy, Elfilin overheard this and decided to plan an escape. The escape plan went awry unfortunately, Elfilin’s evil other half attacked Marcy and tried to fuse to Elfilin to become one again but that didn’t happen. The chinchilla siblings ran flew away as far they possibly can. Elfilin uses some of his power to created a portal to escape to another dimension right before Marcy went in, Elfilin got captured by the people again and said to his sister “ Marcy I want you to escape here and have a better life, I don’t want you to spend it in a lab! don’t worry about me I’ll be fine and find my way out. I don’t want those awful scientists to hurt you please go!!” Marcy shed into tears went through the portal it took her to Chiffon Star. She was asleep when Princess Marona found her. Marona nurse her back to health and decided to adopt her. Marcy was so happy to make a new friend she was so shy at the start but she isn’t now. During her first week at Chiffon Star, Marcy still thinks about Elfilin and how he’s been doing, has he escape yet? Why he has a other half that’s evil and got split separated? Elfilin and Marcy don’t know much about the other half and why it’s evil. There’s so many unanswered questions. The siblings will overcome them :0 okie that’s enough lore for now I think I might write in my A03 about how they ended up in the labs in the first place. Oh yeah they do reunite in the future after the events of Kirby and the Forgotten Land :,D have a few facts before I go I don’t know how my head is full of headcanons and stuff so late at 1 am ;w; like I said before Marcy can make portals anytime and not lose any energy power within her. She sometimes visits other dimensions just for fun. Marcy met Meta Knight before Kirby cuz Marona knew him, sometimes Meta Knight visits Chiffon Star to get desserts sweets. That’s how he met Marcy hehe hope y’all enjoyed reading this💖🌟🍭

Would you want to see the stuff I write for the au about Stede and Izzy being childhood friends? Something about your post about it got its teeth stuck in me and I’m halfway working on a (currently very disjointed) thing for it, it’s getting awfully long, and eventually it may be connected enough to be postable, even if it softens Izzy a bit more than he is canonically, I love the idea, and when I’ve got something together that’s less dialogue chunks and more cohesive story, would you want to see it? No problem if you don’t, I just had thoughts about it and it wouldn’t get out of my head if I didn’t start write it out. It’s bound to be longer than it is so far (it’s about 2k words so far I wasn’t lying when I said it’s got its teeth in my brain), so I figured I could publish it on ao3 as a gift fic for you since it’s based on your idea? Obviously crediting you and all and again, no pressure for you to say yes if you don’t want to, I just had the thought and figured you may enjoy it, since I’m having a fun time writing it out.

Way back after ep 3, I wondered if this gesture (or the number 5, which is what it represents in the alternate universe) would come back again in the series...

At the time @dearestheart pointed out that it was potentially a hint at the coming promise within that episode that Puen would make with the Friend Credits group and with Talay. At the end of the ep, Talay and Puen make a pinky promise...and I therefore thought the show had neatly contained the motif to this one ep.

But then we get to ep 11 and this wonderful detail which some other lovely people pointed out (@hiskinndbodyguard, @stormyoceans). Ep 11 shows a flashback to the beach scene in ep 9 where Puen and Talay promise to find each other when they get back to their original universe (this particular part of the dialogue wasn't shown in ep 9):

And then Talay falls asleep - and wakes up - in the same hand gesture from this promise and from the wooden hand all the way back in ep 3:

It both went full circle within ep 3 and within the series as a whole.

And it's interesting that it was these two episodes - Soft Blush and Real Red - that the former is a lighter version of the latter. And that Soft Blush was where Puen and Talay first established a closer connection, and Real Red was where they had a deeper relationship but were separated and had to find a way to reconnect.

Ah, the details.

At the exit of the Alivel Mall I finally found a version of this desserts poster that was large enough and dark enough (SO BRIGHT and PASTEL OMG) that decoding it seemed a reasonable task.

I transferred the image to my phone to make it even darker. This poster frickin glows.

The top word ended in "eets." SWEETS!

The second word was harder to make out and I stared at it a long time. There was an "es" near the beginning and an "al" at the end. I just had to fill in the blanks. Then I realized--FESTIVAL!

I was looking at an advertisement for a Sweets Festival!

This translation was more exciting than the the other signs I have worked with at the mall thus far. This is an advertisement for an event that was to happen AFTER the whole land was abandoned.

The numbers below were not PRICES for ice cream but DATES for a festival!

Decoding the dates took me a bit longer to do. Doing so led me to reconsider my earlier conclusion about the number 5. The rune that looks like a "2" on this poster does not match any other rune deciphered thus far.

You may recall that I believed I had discovered the #5 on a box at the speedway many days ago. It certainly LOOKED like a 5. Later I saw a similar rune at the Beast Pack's Final Stand and Lab Discovera. I assumed it was the same and so translated it in both instances as 5. Soon after I was corrected by @elemom that what I was looking at was really a 2!

Until now I was still confident that the number seen at the speedway was still a 5--it looked slightly different. Now I believe it was just made with another font and indeed a "2!" The box at the speedway says 32, not 35.

I said all of that to say that now I think I have found the ACTUAL rune for #5. Big surprise--it looks like a 2! This is more logical than to say that the second set of numbers on this poster are upside down and flipped when all of the other writing on the poster is right side up--the only other way to make it state 5/5.

I've determined these to be the dates:

4/29 (The 4 is obscured. I've deduced it from my confidence that the next dates are in May.)

April 29th-May 5th

I know that spring is a time for festivals so I googled these dates to see if they are celebrated in Japan.

They are!

This range of dates in Japan is known as "Golden Week."

Given the evidence, I believe the dates 4/29-5/5 are correct, and that the Exodus to another world(s) occurred in a period before these dates, thus the poster has not been removed.
