reading biographies of famous men in the victorian era u see how vital university/post-secondary schooling was to networking and meeting people was to building ur social circles that help you live a fulfilling life right so right now in the world we got thru this extinction of third places. places that arent school and arent home where you can hang out with those people without necessarily needing to have fun and many ppl in uni have that cus theres like the library n that's it yr not supposed to have a financial obligation when ur at that place so its hard to categorize any other place like that. anyway what do u think influencers who dont go to school anymore and just live in LA do during the day as their third place. cus i see la influencer girls vlogs and apart from being at home and going to the gym for 9 hours which i would argue is their second place. what else do they do like im sure they go clubbing at night and then cosmetic clinic visits

How you imagine Branx Magna to be like?
Ui, Branx Magna! Interesting, specifically Branx Magna. Because of my Psyker? He's from there. That does take a bit of influence on how I imagine the area he lived in.
In game Branx Magna is described as a thriving industrial world, which is packed with continent sized manufactorums and hive cities OVERFILLED with people. Some cosmetics hint at the fact that very old century, rustic and retro stuff is considered "trendy" on this planet. That being a relative term since we're in the year 40K sth, at this point anything is "retro" and "outdated".
I imagine that the cities on this planets are mostly the factorums also functioning as cities. It's a very grunge industrial look. The hive cities go high up and even deeper below. Depending on where you are you never see the sun. Every living space is squished btw sth with a purpose, some heavy machinery that always moves, wires and pipes everywhere, steam and smoke coming out of every crevice. The air is thin and grimy at all times and it's never quiet. In my mind it has quite the rustic look tho. There are cozy places or even colorful ones found but generally it's all very metallic and concrete.
The closer you are to the high and mighty on the surface, the more "religious" imagery to the Emperor is found. The style there ranges between numerous older century styles, specifically the buildings have that 10 and 15th century cathedral look. All still with the idea of functionality tho, the factorums don't stop there. It is cleaner but not clinical, more on the structured side, so it looks pretty and effeicient for the higher ups. But the further away from the surface, the more punk and battered it looks, with a more "modern" idea of retro. Rust, carvings, weathering and hapardhazardly thrown together living spaces. Lot's of sneaky crawls space. There's hidden entertainment districts filled with grafitti, clubs, pubs all nestled in corners and behind doors that you can only reach if you follow some stairs even further down into the darkness.
Because my Psyker is inspired by the 70s punk movement in Germany and England, the areas he lived in and people he lived with would additionally have strong resemblence to those aesthetics.
To give a bit of a visual, picture a combination of League of Legends' and Arcane's Zaun, the city streets in Bladerunner and Star Wars Coruscant, the factorum levels of Darktide, multiply the density by 1000 and then add rust, steam, smoke and lot's of other grundge, grimy, metallic and punk decay to it.
