I do subscribe to @neinofthem's take that Astrid would already know that Ikithon is free bc she is the archmage of civil influence and this is her whole job, but she just didn't tell Caleb bc this is her job, caleb turned down the assembly position, she is handling it on her own and she doesn't need to immediately run to Ikithon's pet defector etc etc. However I think Caleb would go tell her in person and she would deserve to kill him immediately and with 100 million swords.

So, you love this person. Dear god. They're everything. You have had hard talks about how to make it work and then you make it work. Because love is effort and trust. Love is a conscious thing.

And then some arbitrary cosmic McGuffin tells all that your soul mate is this person you've never met. This rando and suddenly you're supposed to be besotted.

Maybe you are. Maybe you're not.

But, you got this love you've fought for. You've loved for.

"I'm so...so happy I met you. This is. Well, people dream of it." With a gesture: "This is, my, uh, my spouse."

"Oh! charmed," The smile is genuine.

"I love them." It is concrete. This love is made with the work of a person's hands and the cosmos will not take it away.

everybody is getting mad at a-train for betraying team kill homelander like leave him alone you don't understand him he has layers

#PERHAPS i am just predisposed to make excuses for him because he's one of my favourite characters on the show but i have a little theory #about a-train this series #so people are just assuming that he snitched to homelander because we've seen him be an opportunist in the past but that's not the vibe i #was getting from what was set up earlier in the episode and also he has been shown to have principals in the past like #risking himself to expose stormfront wasnt entirely self-serving like people make out #AND we know that canonically homelander can hear everything that goes on in that building including the plots to kill him and the blackmail #material deep and a-train have on eachother #we haven't actually seen a-train tell homelander that alex tried to recruit him. i think he agreed and this is like a #divide and conquer strategy from homelander because the team already mistrusts a-train #given his development since season one i really think they're setting a-train up to finally be disillusioned with the whole superhero thing #like #idk how to articulate it #but it makes sense for his overarching character story for him to finally let go of chasing the celebrity lifestyle which has done nothing #but cause his misery so far #and i think that's what they're setting up for him i think this 'a-train betrayed the group' is a red herring #the boys #the boys spoilers #im keeping my rant in the tags because i feel like im overwhelming my followers with the boys content but it put worms in my brain sorry #principles*#EDIT: ok so they confirmed he snitched i look like a clown BUT that's still my friend a train???

A mouth without a heart, all stomach: circling, a downward spiral that goes and goes and goes, endless and tormenting. The serpent devouring itself in everlasting hunger: he knows it well. He knows it as the taste of his own tongue, all red and copper, as vibrant as the cuts that adorn his face.

The sound of a lightsaber igniting invites itself into his head-- Arcann is out of his body and out of his mind. Inversely. Amber plasma-birthed sparks live and die in the air as it drags across the ground. Exsanguination is better fate for his follies, he thinks, shattered bones and dripping marrow a marker of that which he's transcended.

But not today.

Vulcan is a stalemate, a lone obstacle along the path of conquest. No matter the power behind his fleet, the battle remains unresolved, with Vulcan technology singularly adept. So he is here now, no longer safe in orbit upon a throne moaning echoes of patricide; the man claiming himself Emperor to tear them down, down, down with him.

Halting before Spock, red-yellow flames of his visible eye belaying nothing less than arrogant certainty, his voice filters through his mask:

"Show me."

Not even Archer's steely grip around his throat can choke the smirk from his face, Shige letting his tongue hang out in an obscene expression as his eyes roll back in his head. He's exaggerating of course, gagging audibly and arching his spine as he leans back against the chair in front of the executive's fancy mahogany desk.

"Mm, fuck yeah- Harder, baby, just like that..." he smarms, eventually halting the theatrics to give a sidelong glance up at his attacker.

They both knew if Archer had actually wanted him dead, he would be, so this was clearly for show. Showing Sawamura who was really in charge, even if he made a mockery of said individual's authority just to see what poking and prodding might make him lose his twenty-hour calm.

He raises both hands and squishes Archer's face until his lips are all pursed like a Luvdisc's, then musses up his perfectly styled hair with rough motions.

"You gonna let me into those tight, prissy pants'a yours, or do I need make a formal invitation and email it to your secretary?"

our elderly cat is super obsessed w these silicone worm things to the point she’ll drag them around the house in the middle of the night and her fav thing to do w them is to hold one end w her paw and then bite the other end and pull it up to let it snap loose (kinda like snapping a rubber band) but they slap kinda loudly against the wood floor so she’s literally up pulling her worm so loud it wakes my mom up
