Matt: "Jessica, what...?"
Jessica: "Shut up. Don't-- don't say anything. Just let me breathe you in."
Matt: "Jes--"
Jessica: "Shhh. Hush. I've missed you. You can't possibly know."
Matt: "Wait. Okay. Wait. Stop. Stop, Jessica! What brought this on? We're not doing this, okay? What about Luke? For god's sake, what about you?"

If anyone hasn't been reading this Jessica Jones mini-series, written by the legendary Gail Simone, it is weird and wonderful and I highly recommend it. In this scene, we are introduced to an alternate universe version of Jessica who, we later learn, was married to Matt Murdock in her own universe (obviously, Matt doesn't know any of this, and alternate universe Jessica is excited to see any living Matt-- her husband was killed by Stilt-Woman, R.I.P.).
There is some precedent for this romance. 616 Jessica had a funny little crush on Matt back during her time as his bodyguard, before she and Luke officially got together, though she never acted on it and it didn't appear to be mutual.

As an aside, Jessica's reference to "a woman" (Elektra) being Daredevil has so far been pretty much this series' only acknowledgement of anything going on in the current Marvel universe (no mention of Luke being the mayor, Danny is still Iron Fist, Matt is obviously not off fighting the Hand and growing a terrible beard after using his brother's murder to fake his own death, etc.), which is fine by me. Sometimes it's nice to have a completely self-contained story like this.

In this reality, Jessica Jones (Jewel) got her powers early and was madly in love and obsessed with Cyclops from the X-Men. However, when it was revealed that Jean Grey and Scott Summers were getting married, this version of Jessica killed ALL of the X-Men, including Cyclops himself and Jean Grey (Phoenix).
According to Jewel herself, she was able to defeat The Phoenix, because her powers were similar to Rogue's powers (who also died by Jewel's hand).

what do you think of wanda's look as sorceror supreme from variants (I think?)
Turns out, Knightress didn't get summoned here with the rest. She'd been hunting the killer. and had another carpool driver entirely. Her earth's Sorcerer Supreme. Dr. Wanda Strange. Turns out Knightress was dating her brother or something. Don't look at me -- I never understand what ifs.

Part of me wishes it had one less color (maybe take away the blue?), but another part of me is like, no, it's perfect like this. The other colors add visual interest. Either way, I like it. The pink! The gloves! This design was done for me and me alone.
