i'm going to complain for two seconds here, because people on twitch are pissing me off. I get people are fans of other games. I am too! Even if I can only play a few, I watch full gameplay of many games. that being said- I do not think it's fair to say that it's an unfortunate thing for it to be likely that bg3 will sweep the awards tomorrow. you're gonna tell me it honestly doesn't deserve to win most of the categories it's been nominated for? have you actually sat down and watched gameplay?? because the suggestion that it shouldn't win goty, or awards for narrative, direction, score, art, or performance is beyond ridiculous to me. pull your head out of nintendo's ass for just a moment and I think you will see that sometimes other games win because they are simply BETTER.

I like how the normie consensus about the Kenobi show is that it "fixes" Obi-Wan lying to Luke about his father being dead at Vader's hand as opposed to being Vader himself because "oh Vader told him that and he really believed it" (I don't think this ever needed to be fixed, personally), when from my perspective it makes Ben look like more of a dick because it suggests that he was perfectly capable of killing Darth Vader in the in-between trilogies period and just...didn't for no clear or discernible reason. And in fact pushed off the responsibility onto Vader's own son. Which makes him MORE of a dick.
Look, I can forgive Mustafar. Anakin had just turned, it was an emotional time, and Obi-Wan was not unreasonable to assume nobody could survive that. But a second shot that you walk away from?
They could have made the final fight a little less of an obvious win, or given Obi-Wan a clear and urgent reason to run away before finishing the job (like one of the twins in danger) but instead he just completely overpowers and curbstomps Vader, then dicks off and leaves his former apprentice/murder robot a wheezing mess. If Obi-Wan really does think Vader "killed" Anakin, then he's a shitty Jedi, fullstop. You can have him not be able to let go of Anakin and therefore not have it in him to kill, OR he's completely accepted Vader is just a Sith and a menace and he has to kill. You don't get it both ways.
I enjoyed the dramatic angst of the confrontation as much as the next person, but I am also forced to concede that the entire OT depends on the fact of Luke (and, failing him, Leia) are the only people capable of defeating Vader and the Emperor. The movies just...kind of fundamentally don't work if there's another option, since Yoda and Obi-Wan literally say "there is no other option." This is the Skywalker show.
(In this house we ignore the ST because it's garbage, but I digress)
So what I'm saying is the show is, like most everything in the Disney era, a superfluous and canon-breaking fanfic I'm perfectly capable of enjoying for what it is while fully recognizing it contradicts what the films it's spun off from gave us in the first place.
TL;DR Ben Kenobi never left Tatooine between Ep3 and 4 and that's what I'm sticking with.

My softest muse is definitely Vick. He's a 0 on the toughness scale, he's a big teddy bear and he will choose kindness over anything else at any point.
My toughest muse is probably Barbie. Girl is tough as nails and will not be stopped if she puts her mind to something. She doesn't take pain as a reason to stop and will go harder when it hurts.
2) Which Muse would blow through $1000 quickly?
Valentino, hands down. He spends $1,000 every day easily on things he doesn't even need. He loves to buy expensive things and will do so at all hours. He especially loves spending Vox's money. $1,000 is a drop in the bucket for him and he doesn't even notice spending it.
3) Do any of them have nicknames? Is there a meaning behind them?
Quite a few of them do!
Valentino answers to Bunny from his lovers, it's a subspace trigger word for him. I assigned him Bunny because he's Cute And Horny, aka a rabbit, and a bunny sub is fairly common.

Velvette, Vox, and Valentino are obsessed with always being on top of the next new thing.
Alastor hates new things and will fight them as much as he can.
5) Who has the best relationship with their siblings?
Valentino had a fairly good relationship with his siblings when he was alive. He had seven of them, plus three live-in cousins that were like his siblings.

Beelzebub, Ozzie, Valentino, and Ostello! They all love to sing and party, and they're all pretty good at it. Ostello was a pop-jazz singer when he was alive and before he died in Hell, too!

I believe that IF Silver IS a descendent of Sonic/Shadow/Amy/anyone else, he's a descendent via adoption because the only Sonic character that I accept having kids is Vanilla.
honestly part of the reason im not a fan of the ideas of silver being a descendant of other characters we already know is because i just dont see why its necessary for them to be related ..? idk i just dont think anything that could be gained from him being shadows kid or sonics descendant or whatever is worth losing part of whats already compelling about silver and also making things super confusing. plus none of the pairings of already existing characters people have suggested as silvers bio parents make any sense, usually because its impossible from a timeline perspective but also because theyre always picking characters who would NOT have kids either in general or with the specific people theyre being paired with
#i also just kinda have a hard time imagining most sonic characters who arent already parents (so. most of them) wanting to be parents#it just does not feel right to me#i guess part of it could be an age thing . being a parent is an Adult thing and most sonic characters are not adults#so imagining them doings things that only adults do by in universe standards just feels strange and foreign to me#even though these scenarios would obviously take place a couple decades into the future#but also even when specifically thinking about it through the lens of ''would this character want to be a parent when theyre older''#the answer is usually no or idk#because there are a lot of characters where it just doesnt feel like it fits them?#sonic and rouge are a couple characters i can name off the top of my head who i know for sure would not have kids.#shadow im not so sure about either. yet he is the most common choice for silvers bio parent. pain#thing about shadow and silver is i think a timeline where shadow is actually around to meet little silver and is like#a mentor/older brother/guardian figure of sorts does kinda have potential to be interesting but i dont really want that to be made canon#but shadow straight up being his dad? idk man. not really into that. shadow being his biological dad? i woke up from a nap 30 minutes ago with the best animatic idea (two birds by regina spektor my beloved) ive had in 17 years with kris and lyra and ive been stuck in a very intense catastrophic autism event about it the entire 30 minutes,

#god. LIKE OK WHERE DO I EVEN START WITH THE IDEAS I HAVE PLANNED FOR THESE TWO IN THE FIRST PLACE#like. in my head kris originally lived in new bark town and was friends with ethan#but had to move away because her mom got a job at the goldenrod radio tower#and lyra moves in soon after! ethans upset and pretends to dislike lyra but his mom makes him play with lyra and they hit it off instantly#kris is really shy and she has low energy so she doesnt really make any new friends in the city. she really only has her mom#and her phone calls with ethan#meanwhile lyra is really energetic and social and makes a lot of friends really quick!#so when ethan starts journeying and reunites with kris in goldenrod and kris finally meets lyra she cant help but just. hate her.#its not just that she moved into kris's house and took her place as ethan's friend. lyra has a lot of the things kris wishes she had#then team rocket takes over goldenrod city and kris's mom is trapped in the tower like all the other employees.#lyra is the one who gets into the tower first and she helps a lot of innocent people get out including kris's mom#and kris is grateful her mom is safe (shes really close to her mom since shes one of the only people she has) but also. really confused?#shes been nothing but a jerk to lyra since theyve met.#but when she started panicking about her mom being in danger lyra promised to find her anyways. and she saved her too!#after lyra's dad finds out about the team rocket takeover though he lyra to come home.#he always worried for lyras safety and wants her to stay out of trouble (theres a really good reason for this btw)#and lyra disobeyed him when he called her and told her to stay away from the city#and kris doesnt feel like she should just. stand by and let that happen! lyra helped save her mom.#and her journey is really important to herself and so kris goes right up to lyras dad and gives him quite the earful#she somehow manages to convince him to let lyra finish her journey! and lyra is so fucking grateful#and the two start becoming friends from that point on. lyra becomes really important to kris#im thinking of maybe lyra giving kris two thin white ribbons to tie ribbons on her pigtails?#first of all as a symbol of their friendship and also to draw similarities between the two of them#second of all. Hmmm ok so after last night im like 99% sure im a lesbian and idk what to do abt it
