I think Kumar got over his picky food phase. He used to eat only 200g cans of duck for a long time now. The 200g cans are more expensive than the 400g ones, so I was spending a lot more money than usual on catfood.
Offered him some other food I still had left (400g beef, chicken and shrimp) yesterday and he liked it and I also caught him eating some of Clawdias food which was something different. I still have like 20 cans of the poultry, chicken and shrimp type of food he used to eat for half a year, so maybe I can finally use those lol.

your post about only communicating the minimum needed reminded me of the gricean maxims (concept in linguistics describing how people communicate)! your advice was very similar to the maxim of quantity :)
From the UPenn School of Arts & Sciences site:
Grice's Maxims
The maxim of quantity, where one tries to be as informative as one possibly can, and gives as much information as is needed, and no more.
The maxim of quality, where one tries to be truthful, and does not give information that is false or that is not supported by evidence.
The maxim of relation, where one tries to be relevant, and says things that are pertinent to the discussion.
The maxim of manner, when one tries to be as clear, as brief, and as orderly as one can in what one says, and where one avoids obscurity and ambiguity.

What markers do you use and what kind paper? The textures are so Delicious
Very basic paper, actually! I find I overthink when using expensive stuff and it makes my sketches worse.
As for markers, I use Copics! Not that this is an endorsement (my first set were a very nice gift), but I have really liked using alcohol based markers over water based ones; lovely texture, good blending, and less streaking. However, the price can be *brutal*, and you can very easily get by with other markers + pencil crayons.

he's such a sad little guy i love him a lot :) so funny how he immediately went from Australia's #1 most saddest soppingly wet little man you've ever seen, to blowing up a lab and stealing their assets every Tuesday morning for Shits And Giggles™

It seems people are getting hype about Magical Girl As Horror Lately? and idk the main concept ive been revolving around- for an au I prommy ill write something for soon ok- is, like. Not exactly magical girl as horror but magical girl as. It is so so unfair. Imagine you had a falliable, human, imperfect body- imagine, even, it was unsatisfying, not fitting to you, or misfunctioning in ways that impair your life. and imagine being granted the ability to loan a perfect body made out of light and flowing with power and perfection, a poised, radiant body- only to turn back .only to have that other form only validated to help others. only to have a real actual mystical voice which claims important in the universe claim that to be or do good your own body really isnt enough?
Just. Having a good body you can turn into as if thats ok to do to someone, give them that and take it away

I talked to my dad on the phone the other day about where I should live to save up for a car, if I should find some cheap digs in Europe or something, and he said "just get a hotel room on the vegas strip for a while" and I feel like that explains a lot of how I ended up this way

Fuck guilt "activism" -- it makes you feel guilty for spending a penny on anything that isn't going towards a specific cause. Food? Guilt. It could go to children. Decent toilet paper? Guilt. Pizza? Guilt. Pet necessities? Guilt. Saving up for a necessary surgery? Guilt.
Making people feel guilty about shit does not an activist make. You can do great shit for important causes while also not making people feel guilty for existing.

Thinking about how AI taking over the simpler calls at my last workplace was part of the reason why the job started to suck (the calls left are the more difficult/want to yell at you people, less staff on in general etc) and led to me quitting in a mental health/burnout breakdown.
But it's not art, it's one of the sucky things people say they DO want AI to replace without actually thinking about what that means for people.
And it's happening to more and more customer service jobs, so there's less of them out there, and the ones that are suck more etc.
