HALLOWEEN WITH THE MONSTERS!

Including Mothman, Dullahan, Yautja and Khonshu

Edid: Finally a real note. Just a Post of my beloved silly skrunkles. Also for Khonshu's part I used witch reader from the headcanons I wrote for him before because I just felt like it.

Mothman

- He has seen humans celebrate halloween before but didn't quite understand it, always wonderd why humans tried to mimic other monsters.

-Once you properly explain it to him, and talk about free food- he's hooked. His antenna stand straight and he goes to put on a white blanket to go as a ghost Trick or Treating.

-He could already go without a costume but he looks so cute and happy in his little white robe, you couldn't bring yourself to tell him.

-You go around everywhere and he does the most adorable chirb when he says "Trick or Treat", almost everyone gives him extra candy because it's that cute. The sweet old Lady next door gave him a full bucket of candy and his antenna did a cute little wiggle.

-He munches himself into a sugar rush with all the candy he eats. Also he hand feeds you candy. Still in his costume too. By end of it all you got a chonky moth in a ghost costume, happily purring as you rub his belly.

Dullahan

-Come on, Halloween is one of his fav times of the year. He get's to walk around freely, get candy and scare people shitless! He even made you a matching outfit to his.

-You'll both be riding on his steed, scaring unasuming mortals. Sapphire Flames erupting as he let's out a wicked laugh, terrifying anyone he sees.

-Sometimes he'll put his head somewhere for a person to pick up and then igniting his eye sockets, giving the poor someone a heart attack.

-Other than that he'll gallop the streets with you, drawing the attention of other halloween goers, drinking up all the praise he get's for his "costume". Will do tricks like taking his head off in front of everyone. Let's the children even play with with, creating dancing figures with his flames.

-In the rare event he meets another Dullahan, he'll talk for ages with them and do some duo pranks. The horses will just chill with you, judging their riders.

-Like a real Gentleman he comes back with his head filled to the brim with the candy, all for you. He won't answer any questions about how he got it...

Yautja

-It was suprisingly easy to get your mate to celebrate halloween. He's mostly excited to adorn you in the bones of the beasts he hunted.

-He's purring the entire time you put on your costume, the skull of a xenomorph being your mask.

-He himself puts on something, some giant jagged bones. Sharpening his claws and showing off his face. You two will have all the eyes on you.

-If you wanted candy however, you could have simply asked him to get you some, your mate loves to spoil you, but if Trick or Treating is what you want than you shall have it. He can never say no to you.

-With him by your side, you get aalllll candy. After getting the sweets going to horror maze is a MUST. He doesn't get scared but he puffs up with pride whenever you get spooked and cling to him.

-Lowkey he scares the workers there. Some other people there think he works there and fan over him.

-By the end of it all you turned him into a halloween fan, he cannot wait for next year, but before the night ends there is one last thing you two need to do...going on a hunt!

Khonshu

-The God of the Moon wasn't too interested in your mortal holiday. Yet somehow, you managed to convince him to go with you, manifesting him in a corporeal form. So that's why you asked him to teach you the magic to invoke entities...

-But you did go through all the hard work to summom him into the material plane, he can't bring himself to say no to his favorite human. And it has been centuries since he last walked the earth with mortals.

-Okay fine, you did it, you got your oh so great and benevolent god to acompany you during this wicked night. Steve and Marc are beyond impressed with your skill to make Khonshu do anything you want.

-Surprisingly enough though, you didn't have to say anything about Khonshu needing a new look, all his idea. After all, the god has decided that since he'll walk among mortals after so many years, he might as well dress for the occasion.

-Pale bandages and golden crescent moons get replaced with black robes that shine like the stars and are adorned with blood red moons. He looks a little like a Vampire.

-Old Birb Man mantifests some fangs after you said that, threatening to take a sip out of you.

-He even dresses you up himself, whatever costume you had before will be changed to make you look worthy to be a god's consort. All will look upon you with awe. Only the best for his beloved star.

-You walk the streets together, the witch and their terrifying patron drawing the eyes and adoration of everyone.

-Daddy Khonshu decides to go even extra and cause a Blood Moon, with a jack'o-latern face filling the celestial body.

-He puffs up when people compliment him, ah yes, how he missed the worship of mortals. Hand feed him the candy you got and he'll coo about how a perfect human you are, his best accolyte. That's how you find out about Khonshu's massive sweet tooth

-However manifesting Khonshu for so long takes it's toll on you, invoking a deity upon the material plane is quite a lot of work. Khonshu already plans to reward you plenty for not only for letting him walk among the earth again but also feel the joy of halloween.

-The night ends with you getting usherd to bed, face lovingly carresed before Khonshu dematerializes.

-While all gaze upon a grinning blood moon.

Hi! I love your xeno ideas for inklings and octolings. I was wondering if you have any xeno stuff on salmonids and/or jellyfish?

Aahhh thank you! And yes, I do for both actually!

I threw these together in like 5 minutes so pardon the quality haha

I tend to draw Salmonids kind of seal-like, with chonky proportions. The men are the ones that turn red during Runs, whereas women are usually silver or copper-coloured. This guy here is an adult Cohock, most Salmonids don't make it to adulthood so you could say he's pretty experienced.

Salmonids have both gills and a labyrinth organ, allowing them to breathe air so long as their gills stay wet. Since they have no legs, these fish are pretty clumsy and rely strongly on water to get around and to, y'know, breathe. There are some wheelchair/skateboard-like contraptions that have been used roll around on land though.

I tend to keep jellyfish pretty similar to how they look in-game, only pronouncing the bell a bit better and also changing the arms to resemble the oral tentacles of real jellyfish. This fellow right here is a harmless Moon Jelly, however other species can have stinging nematocysts in their tentacles which makes for a pretty killer handshake.

Jellyfish entirely lack the ability to speak at all so they have to rely on either nonverbal/sign language or TTS machines to communicate. Also, their mouths are underneath their bodies. It's really weird.

do YOU have a particular headcanon for how hunter got sick? think nsh did it (accidentally or on purpose)?

i've written about this before in my big boy headcanons post! you can find it here

but basically: at First my thoughts about that whole thing was that Hunter was always very susceptible to sicknesses. my headcanons haven't changed much even after the release of Downpour so- Hunter was one of the pups of a family of slugcats that weren't doing too well. they couldn't find enough food, their genome wasn't the healthiest one in the whole species, they got attacked by a lot of predators because of the food crisis- so on and on, just a real terrible streak of bad luck

so the family, not really knowing where else to go, had climbed up NSH's superstructure in hopes of finding a place of respite. once they've reached the top one of the pups, the weakest one (Hunter), was unfortunately already like two steps away from dying. as animals sometimes have to do, the parents decided to leave them behind (it wasn't easy, of course. but in such bad times...). the family visited NSH, he fed them (like Moon feeds Spear in canon) and pointed them towards the void sea (same ravine like in canon, i don't think there's been too many digs that deep tbh). it was A Direction to Somewhere far so they just decided to accept NSH's instructions

after they left, NSH noticed the number of pups didn't exactly match the first sighting of the family on top of his can vs them in his chamber so he sent out an Overseer to look for the missing little one. he found Hunter lying in a pipe, shallowly breathing. with the Overseer, he spurred and guided them to his chamber. they stumbled in practically already passed out, he caught them and set about righting them up. this was pretty recently after Moon's collapse here's a little snippet from a thing i was writing for it in 2021 and gave up on:

afterwards he cured them, fed them, warmed them up... and when they woke up and looked at him with wet eyes, fear and sadness reflecting in them, his metaphorical heart broke and he took them in and started raising them in a manner he'd be sure they wouldn't ever be helpless like that

to the point though: he never really fixed up their susceptibility to sicknesses. if the Rot is basically just strange cancer, my original thought from way back then was that Hunter's white cells simply failed at eliminating the cells that have gone bad. another stroke of bad luck, nothing more nothing less. a completely unremarkable thing and yet.. so impactful to those that cared (Nish, Moon even if she knew them only for a second, Pebbles had a big ass emotional soup to wade through when Hunter came to him too)

i had a conversation with sister like a month or so ago about Hunter and NSH, though. During it sis came up with the idea that neurons are Kind Of Uh Oh Radioactive! not radioactive enough to necessarily harm a slugcat while they are just passing through an iterator or eat a few of them, but prolonged exposure is gonna make the risk of a Rot Cancer rise up

and Hunter's green neuron is not a normal neuron either! it's basically a big chonky macho stronk boy full of strange shit wild enough to reawaken a whole iterator. so combine That fact with how long it most likely took for Hunter to get from NSH to Moon + my take of "susceptible to sicknesses" and you get the Big Ouch

NSH also totally forgot that neurons are radioactive, yeah, he was very focused on helping out Moon to remember it

Hello :) I might have missed it somewhere, but what do the werewolves look like in terms of their wolf form? Are they, like, on four legs, just really big wolves, or are they more humanoid? Thank you!

The werewolves in Blood Moon can assume any blend of wolf and human they can imagine. So... they could be totally human... or totally wolf... or a human with claws, a wolf that stands on two legs... or some ungodly wolf-human abomination. The limit is their imagination.

Their totally wolf form is pretty much just a chonky wolf.

I really hope that makes sense. I'm tired and not sure if I'm explaining myself well at all. 😅

- His feathers are very soft. His hair’s long enough to be put in a mini pony tail.

- You and High Roller have just agreed that all of the low ballers are y’all’s kids. He loves the little trouble makers. Especially Fifi. He spoils her rotten. Figures why on she’s so chonky.

- You were considered a special guest on his show whenever you came on. But just because he loves ya, don’t mean he won’t treat you like any other contestant!

- He loves teasing you. I MEAN HE LOVES IT. Whenever you wake up, with drool all over your face. He’ll whistle and say “Did’ja wrefftle the bed lafft night, Baby-Doll?” You shoot him a glare and he’ll chuckle.

- He does like sleeping in with you when there’s nothing else to do.

- He gifted you pj’s that have ducks on them. He thought you’d look adorable.

- Thanks to dave having a passion for music, It bleeds into high rollers personality HEAVILY. He loves singing or humming you too sleep.

- Y’all DON’T fight. Ever. High roller hates it, when situations get tense he likes to cool it down before it boils over.

-His love language is Gift giving and physical touch. Actually high roller likes it all! If It brings you and him closer, you bet he’ll love it.

So I'm back again to low key bother you with Double Training haha

Macaque 100% gets stabbed, probably not with a knife though he'd worry about the babies getting hurt and I'd like to think he wouldn't just hand a toddler a knife-

Also it definitely happened at PIF's place and she 100% teased him about it

Iron Fan: Oh what was it you said three moons ago? Oh right, "they're kids, what are they going to do? Stab me? Well how did that go? *snickers*

Macaque: *annoyed simian noises*

Building on Red Son a bit, I want him to be a bit older when the ritual got performed but then the ritual resets him Phoenix Style. He gets his previous memories back gradually through flashbacks as he grows older as not to overfill the baby's brain. The twins also get dreams/nightmares of their past life but it isn't as complete as Red Son.

Yin and Red 100% debate about who's older, Jin watches because it's just accepted there's no way he's the youngest.

I haven't ironed out the timeline out like at all, especially on what I want to do with the episode "Macaque" -3-||

but I have a few changes to the calabash I wanna share!

First of all, it's purpose is definitely not to simulate reality because de-realization or whatever it's called is not fun and mainly I don't want to think about and Macaque would 100% not green light it considering he knows the twins are going to test it on themselves whether he likes it or not. And the original episode with it was framed as comedic but I don't like the implications.

So in my version it is basically just virtual reality but it's very noticeably fake since realism isn't the goal, it's basically a glorified VR pod the Twins use for gaming. (Dad says it's my turn in the calabash, get out >:0)

(The quit command is clicking your heels and saying "there's no place like home" because Jin is a nerd and Toto I don't think we're in canon anymore-)

I'm still not sure where in the timeline I want them to use it on MK or have MK encounter the calabash on accident since I don't know when I actually want them to meet the original main cast before the calabash or not so depending on that they might have used it defensively or MK might've entered it accidentally

I would have to sit down and jot a lot more things down before I get there though

All that age crap that people ascribe to clothing is just society's conditioned way of saying you should be fresh as a young lady and drab as an older one and even though Catherine's style isn't my personal taste, it makes me proud that she, unintentionally or not, bends these rules. The people who call her grandma or frumpy now are probably the same ones who called her a slut in the early years or the ones who complain when she wears a suit. And to be honest, she looks better than most people so they can continue to grandma shame her to the moon and back while she continues living her best life on her own terms.

I completely agree.

I love her general style, but her clothes aren't anything you'd find in my wardrobe - even if I wasn't a bit chonky, we just don't have the same body type so her wardrobe wouldn't work on me . Genuinely ALL the power to her for wearing what looks good and what she's comfortable in. Age is a number and hey, if an 80 year old wants to wear a crop top, you fucking go girl, you know?

We can appreciate her style and hate some of her clothes. I've side-eyed some of Margot Robbie's clothes on the Barbie hype train, soooo

I love a short SunBox session.

Of course I didn’t take photos first.

Haruka’s chest plate needs another day, I think.

Mandarake’s photo. Just realized I never took any body pics when she arrived. In person the yellowing wasn’t as intense as in Mandarake’s lighting. I’m not going to work on the stains from her dark clothing. THAT would take ages.

Ok, seller’s photo. You can see the legs, feet, and hands are yellowed.

When I first rinsed the thighs I was like “Oh, it’s uneven. Huh.” but then I remembered the seller saying she had the factory blushing, still. So that darker area is shading. And some stains.

The previously very yellow feet compared to Haruka’s legs.

This one lower leg is WHITE white now. Just the one.

I think I forgot to take a pic of the hands. Yeah. Compared to the hands Moon Moon has on now, the deyellowed hands are a little lighter and less yellow.

Yaay Moon Moon has her short, chonky legs back! Haruka’s legs on her was like Chang’e in Over the Moon. Too much leggy.

Those thigh shells are absolutely meant for a skeleton with longer thighs. Look at the overlap at the knee... I wonder how difficult it would be to get longer thighs. Probably more than I want to bother with.

A few random thoughts/comments after finally reading the Sam and Max comics (Surfin’ the Highway + “The Big Sleep”) :

- I absolutely love how, whenever they’re in town or in an open place, there’s stuff happening in the background. Random details like that don’t really have any purpose in the story but they make the world feel so much more alive !

- I’m really fond of the way Purcell draws Sam for some reason. Idk, his face is just pleasant to look at.

- Max is getting the Pikachu treatment, looking chubby/chonky in the first interpretation of the character only to look thinner later on.

- It’s very interesting to see how the first “official” Sam and Max comic, “Monkeys Violating the Heavenly Temple”, introduces so many moments that became recurring things (“Sam, I mean Max”, Max being the one who needs saving, Max not being into girls, “you crack me up little buddy”, the fight for the phone, Sam’s long-ass “holy-“ lines, Sam being overprotective, Sam finding Max cute etc)

- It’s also interesting to see “Bad Day on the Moon” in comic form and the few differences with the cartoon version.

- I love how everytime they walk to their office door, they check on Flint Paper. Also Max mentioning how Flint probably wasn’t hugged enough 🥺

- I need an entire series of Sam and Max going on a road trip ! Not only can we have small adventures with new environments and characters, there’s also their cute interactions in the car !

- It’s funny to see places and characters you know are going to come back later on in the franchise, like the carnival from “Hit the Road”.

- I kinda like the random intermission in the long comics, though it feels like a random commercial that’s somehow relevant to the comic. Also that page about the board game to play in a car trip with the advice of “if you don’t have dice, just look at the last number of the plaque from the next car that’s coming” is absolutely genius.

- There’s SO MUCH TOUCHING between the two, especially on Sam’s end ! Like, dude can’t keep his hands away from his bunny ! Ok I may be exaggerating here but still ! So much touching ! And between that and other small moments, it makes me low-key question if they were already boyfriends back then 🤔

(I swear “Purcell wanted to create goofy stories with a fun duo but ended up accidentally creating an amazing and healthy gay relationships with pretty good rep overall and ultimately decided to just accept it and roll with it” is my second favorite thing about this franchise)

- Speaking of which, there’s that one moment in the second road-trip comic in which Sam uses Max as a weapon and then immediately asks Max if what he did was alright or if it bothered Max. And I absolutely adore that.

I think it’s due to the fact that, usually, Sam and Max are on the same wavelength and know each other’s boundaries and likes/dislikes. So it’s interesting to “come back to a time” where they still had to understand those boundaries. I also love how asking this is literally the first thing Sam does, showing that there’s really good communication between the two, which could also explain why in later entries they understand each other so well.

(and sure, I know moments like this one happened in other entries of the franchise, like for example Sam in 301 telling Max he's uncomfortable at the idea of Max teleporting alone, but for some reason this panel really stuck with me)

- The office each time having different framed pictures of the duo like in the cartoon 💖

- As someone who loves when anthropomorphic characters behave more like animals, I am so happy that the comics mention Sam smelling stuff a lot and especially Max having good hearing at least once ! Because this is something I really liked to think about, so it’s nice actually getting to see it being mentioned in canon !

Also there’s that one page (I think in “Bad Day on the Moon” ?) where Sam straight-up bites someone and then gets weirded out by his own action. That was fucking amazing.

- Apparently one of Sam’s favorite things during missions is cornering the villain and telling them to freeze with his gun pointed at them. For some reason I really like that fact.

- The comic about the cereal aisle monster has some pretty good action and a cool monster design. Also apparently Max already had weird powers back then with him being able to communicate with the dead.

Also also Max at the end helping a kid while casually talking to Sam was really cute. Fun fact : Max having baby fever and loving kids is my favorite thing about him, especially due to how much it clashes with his usual “wilder” personality (And for those wondering, my favorite thing about Sam is him being protective and going apeshit when Max is in danger).

Also also also it’s pretty funny to see Sam disliking physical contact from the shopkeeper given how touchy he is with Max in those comics.

- There’s a one-page comic about a lady talking about aliens with Sam not buying any of it, and one of the panels is Sam with a glass of water in hand saying “Lady, I’m this close to pouring my drink on you” while looking completely done with this shit. Hands down my favorite comic panel of all the Sam and Max comics.

(Btw, my second-favorite panel is from the first comic, after Max was kidnapped, when Sam is spitting on a portrait of the villain while pointing out how he’s going to destroy him if he took a single hair off of his precious bunny)

- It’s pretty funny how the comics suddenly start having colors at some point out of the blue, like someone randomly gifted Purcell a box of colored pencils. Though, I don’t know what I like most between the black-and-white or the colored comics. On one hand, the colors add to the background. On the other hand, the black-and-white gave a style that’s pretty fitting with the titular characters being detectives/police.

Ultimately, I think I like the black-and-white more, not just because of the style but also because like half of the stories in color are AU stuff (“The Adventurer” comics) while the black-and-white ones are more “grounded” stories.

Yeah, most of the time, I’m not the biggest fan of AUs. I know, pretty surprising for someone whose first fandom was Unde//rtale of all things.

And yes I learned later on that the first comics actually came out in a colored version. That being said I do like the black-and-white version more since, again, it gives them a “detectives” vibe.

- Sam really has a thing for twin popsicles, doesn’t he ?

- Some comics, especially the ones in color, have a few small “mean-spirited” moments between the duo, especially on Sam’s end, and it feels weird to see them like that. Like when one says “shut up” to the other, when Max does something cruel and Sam points it out by actually calling him cruel instead of cute, or when Sam jokingly threatening to hurt Max for being annoying, including the “killing Max and being sent to heaven” comic.

Now I know those jokes also exist in the rest of the franchise, like for example the “I wanna write a reminder to smother you with a pillow in your sleep” from the first Telltale game or the “shut up it’s starting !” from the cartoon, or even some moments in “Hit The Road” like when you rescue Max at the golf game. But for some reason, the ones in the comic stand out more to me.

I think it might be due to the duo dynamic they have and how much more openly affectionate they are in the games and cartoon, making those “I’m going to hurt you” jokes feel insignificant. 🤔

- There’s a comic about Atlantis that opens up with Sam mentioning how he “never dated within my gender” and I don’t know what surprises me the most between Sam unironically saying this, as if open to the idea, or the fact that they used the word “gender” in a comic form the 90s. In any cases, I like it.

(Also I guess this means Sam and Max weren’t together back then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Unless you picture the comics as taking place out of order, which I might do considering that one Christmas comic with the duo living in a house and having a family dinner. Plus this could explain the “mean-spirited” stuff only being in some comics. Also the cereal aisle comic has a guy from the cartoon + Max having powers, so I could see it taking place around the time of the cartoon, after the Telltale games)

- Sam with abs from that one biker comic is cursed. Chubby Sam with “uncool 40 years-old dad” energy is best Sam.

- And from that same comic, Max gets a tattoo on his right arm. Headcanon that he still has it but it’s hidden under his fur, hence why it’s never visible.

- I love how “The Adventurer Comics”, “The Big Sleep” and the first page of the unfinished comic are just casually available to read on the official Sam and Max website.

- “The Big Sleep” was apparently written around the time of “Save The World”, and I feel like you can kinda see it from the way Max looks in this comic. They removed the chonk in favor of a rounder stomach that resembles his 3D model.

Also I really like how this comic has Sam in danger and Max trying to save him, with Max’s last line of the comic showing some protectiveness. Given how rare it can be at times, I like when they switch around which one needs saving.

Also also this comic has Max calling some guy gay and later on almost saying “piece of shit”. I love it.

Also also also, there’s a cameo of granny Ruth as part of Sam’s memories !!! (along with a picture of Max because of course 💖)

Last thing, since earlier I mentioned the “mean-spirited” moments : this one shows my point by having Sam mentioning bashing Max in the head to help him calm down, with Max reacting by saying “aww, you spoil me !” This is the kind of instance where a joke is actually not mean-spirited because there’s something immediately afterwards showing that Max is enjoying the thought, while in the older comics, it’s just Sam mentioning hurting Max without Max commenting on it, which gives off this “mean-spirited” side.

- There are at least two comics that I’m missing, or at least two that I’m assuming are official. Given how the franchise started with Purcell drawing after his brother’s stories, I’m pretty sure there’s a lot out there that was never published (for those asking, yes I stumbled across some of the earliest versions of those characters from back when Purcell was messing with his brother’s work).

But yeah, from what I know, one of the missing two has a page with Sam and Max pushing n*zis off a cliff, and the second one has a joke about Sam asking Max to remove what he’s wearing and Max refusing, with I think some kind of stereotypical tribe behind them ?

- Thinking about it, I’ve seen people talk about how trigger-happy Sam and Max are in the comics compared to the rest of the franchise, with them being toned down due to age rating. But tbh, I didn’t find them that trigger-happy in the comics, at least not more than the games. They felt pretty on-par with how they act in “Hit The Road” specifically. Might be just me tho 🤔

- Overall, I’d say my favorite comic is “The Big Sleep” due to the whole “Max saving Sam” situation. But more than that, I especially adore how evident it is that Max absolutely loves Sam without outright saying it. It’s shown very well with how worried Max gets, the fact that he greatly compliments the doctor at some point or even the way he decides by himself to investigate the phone because he feels uneasy about the bug and wants to find out what happened to Sam.

This comic aside, the road trip trilogy is a close second and I especially enjoy the moments with the duo in the car, like Sam telling Max a creepy story or them sleeping while still having the car on, etc. I’d probably put the very first official comic as third, mostly for how many recurring things this comic sets up + the usual “Sam saving Max” being nice to see. And the unfinished “Max getting shot” comic would be fourth, because angst is my jam.

Wang Meow

We've already seen a set of figs that were based on Junzhe dolls - Hanbao and Cubao. This is the other set of doll-inspired figs, from a set known as Wang Meow.

Adorably, Zhehan's doll is named Milk Meow, and Junjun's doll is named Milk Woof. Too cute!

I don't own these dolls, but here's what they look like:

Poor Milk Woof! I can't stand to see figs cry, and that goes for dolls too!

The inspiration for their clothing are their birthday outfits. We've seen these before, as they are a popular set for fig makers. Junjun’s suit is from his 29th birthday livestream (11/29/2021):

I love this combo of their birthday best!

I have had these figs for a long time. Taking after their doll counterparts, which are nice and chonky, these figs are fat-body style. They are SOLID. Like super solid - they're incredibly heavy. There's no way these dolls would stand on their own because their heads weigh roughly the same as bowling balls. I didn't even try to stand them up on their own, even propped up against my counter, for fear they would fall and break either their sweet little heads - or my counter. They got glued on immediately.

Junjun's holding a nice little bouquet of flowers there, and Zhehan's holding an enormous tangerine!

You can really see the rounded doll proportions here. So chonky and cute!

I really like how we get the ombre effect on Zhehan's green and yellow shirt here.

Junjun has his star iconography here, and Zhehan has his matching moon. Super cute.

I love the 3-D effect on the bouquet of flowers. So nicely done!

I think their little shoe laces are absolutely adorable! Please also notice the 3-D effect of the buttons on Zhehan's suit jacket at the wrist.

I like Junjun's swoosh of hair a lot! These are really cute figs. I really like that they're a bit different than the more typical ones - although of course you know I love my more typical ones.

You can see those little feet aren't going to be able to hold up the miniature neutron stars that form their incredibly dense heads. These are the single heaviest figs I have for the size, no question.

OH OK WAIT BEFORE I FORGOR—

So for the drawing i just posted—

During that process i accidentally did some stuff at the end that i loved, and included 1 sort of.

If I’m being honest this is mainly for myself as a reminder cause me likey but yeah—

Sorry if this is just me praising myself, i feel like its kinda weird but I felt a need to say these things ehehehhe

So theFIRST happy little accident was i had a white lighting that i had turned the opacity down. And so i thought “well hey, what about if i added a more opaque white lighting halfway through that? Maybe it’ll look neat i dunno”

So me wanting to be lazy just decided to duplicate the original layer with its opacity up, and then shift it to where i want it.

However i kinda forgot that… ITS TOO BIG. And i was focus on the hand as my reference for how far up i should shift.

But then THIS HAPPENED:

AND while its very blobby WHAT THE FRICKI DID I JUST DO CAUSE I LOVE THAT AND AM DEFINITELY SHOVNING THAT IN MY POCKET AHAHAHAHAH

It just looks neat i dunno— kinda like rain??? Or something. I dunno anyway—

I didnt keep it cause i felt it wasa lil too much.

So there’s that. And THEN

OURPLE?????

I was like “oh, the og drawing kinda looks way less duller in colour than mine, so I’ll just put a wash thing of a different colour on it to saturate it or something.”

Except i had the airbrush tool on at the time and so i just rolled with it and put it on the top and bottom

And in the first pic below i did with just a bright purple cause hehedonnieourplehehe, and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I LITERALLY GOT SO GIDDY WHEN I DID THIS AHHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

Okokokkok but then it was i felt a lil too thick so i think i darkened the colour and put a lil less on top and the second one came to be

But yeah. And then i did stuff and then the final came up so yippe—

I also added myself if you didnt notice that—

In the front window. I actually did something there with the shine i think to make it less distracting. I think with the shine… but yeah.

Oh and then the background. I’m sorry but I’m actually really really proud of the background, fowlaroundtown if your reading this i thank you’s very much for noticing and am very very glad you liked it too—!!!

The middle building was supposed to be the grand nexus hotel backside… however it does look a lil chonky but WE AINT TALKING ABOUT THAT—

And then THE MOON OOUGH I LOVED THE MOON.

OH and then finally for Donnie’s lighting it started off as hard lines, which did look pretty neat by itself, but i had to add the fade out cause i felt it made his face look a lil flat or something. I think its just how i draw him but yeah.

Here's a thought

S/O and skele are getting along really well, one night s/o gives them a little love nibble. Next full moon while hanging out skele feels off and hot, as they look down at themselves they see fur growing out, they've become a werewolf!

OOOOOOOO love this~ I kinda picture a skeletal werewolf, skull bare but furry ears and mane, most bones showing but a line of fur down the back and ribcage filled, fluffy tail.... anyway!

Macaw- Short and pudgy still compared to the others, and lays around whining because how could this happen to hiiiimmm weeehhh

Lupo- Denies anything is weird till he's fully changed. Then demands walks, He wants to RUN fast as he can!! He must fill the wind in his fur!!! Very labrador behavior, bit dopey.

Falcon- Chonky like a pitbull. Would have fun laying on s/o or running with them. Uses his bulk to his advantage.

Jackal- Is a lot like a doberman but with a thin tail, much like the egyptian jackal depictions. Tall and regal as he stays put till the full moon is over. This puts a huge damper on his plans once a month you kno- ooohhh and now he understands human menstruation cycles better now...

Jay- Pekinese style (minus smush snout) and is yappy and barking and in so much distress!!

Fox- Is fox. He yip and curl up and slep. He's so happy about this lol

Crow- Fluffy and well mannered. He'd freak out a little bit but ear scritchies are his new favorite thing.

Hound- Very mutt looking breed. Wolfhound? Bloodhound? No one can really tell. But he's comfortable like this, 0% anxiety or worry over it. He'd love a belly rub though~

Vulture- Bull mastiff. He finds Killer and lays on his head. Finally, peace and quiet for a whole evening...

Hyena- A hyena, obviously. Hyena's jaws are known for crushing bones... He has renewed fun terrorizing his coworkers.

Robin- Pomeranian. Pissed he's somehow STILL the smallest sans here. Makes it everyone else's problem

Dingo- A large dingo, huffing out red haze from his jaws. Looks like a strange specter or bad omen.... then flops over and sleeps.

Did that thing where I felt like I wasn't reading and just accumulated a whole stack of library books. But I do actually wanna read 'em so lets see how we do before I gotta send them back.

Dark Tides by Kimberly Vale: Following the events of Crossbones, the squad of teen pirate captains deal with the fallout from the pirate games.

Having been disappointed by the first book and unsure of why this one exists I really shouldn't read it. But if I do I gotta do it soon enough after the first one that I only have to read it once. It seems like they split the party in this one which... makes no sense to me. Also kicks off with a random new guy pov which is why I haven't picked it up in earnest yet.

Cleat Cute by Meryl Wilsner: A professional women's soccer rivals to lovers romcom. [read ✓]

Genuinely, I checked my library holds one day and said, out loud "I don't remember ordering that" the day before it arrived. I've heard lackluster things about the author and seen absolutely no one talking about this book since its release which is not promising. However, I really love gay sports romances so god i WANT to love this one so bad.

Seek You by Kristen Radtke: a nonfiction piece in sequential art exploring the phenomenon of american loneliness through numerous social lenses.

This is kinda where my extra page shifts at work have been detrimental. Was shelving the graphic novels and saw this one simply languishing there and decided: now's the time. I wouldn't have picked this up if I wasn't feeling particularly lonely but also, i am feeling particularly lonely lately, so i worry it'll make things worse...

Killing Moon by NK Jemisin: In an egypt-inspired society, dream priests harvest the magic in civilians' sleeping hours to heal, harm, and carry out justice.

I must read this this year. The library does not have the audiobook. I'm going a little crazy because I think my eyes are rebelling. I will read this book.

Land of the Sons by Gipi: a post-apocolyptic story of survival in which two illiterate brothers obsess over their father's journaling. [read ✓]

Was feeling slumpy and grabbed this in a panic. It looks like a quick but impactful read and I have heard some good things about it. Hope it doesn't wreck me.

Rusty Brown by Chris Ware: probably the most sincere and/or pretentious attempt at a literary graphic novel to exist?? i guess?? [read ✓]

Also a slump-panic pull. I ordered it from the online catalog and was thrown to find it's funking HUGE. idk how long it'll take to read and it's p mysterious/pretentious, seeing as there's no synopsis or anything. Can't tell yet if it'll be like a neo-meta narrative or just up its own ass but some of the blurbs talk about it as a revolutionary piece of art. so lets see.

A Taste of Gold and Iron by Alexandra Rowland: a prince takes over an investigation of local guilds to prove his loyalty to his queen

i saw someone rave about this and remembered absolutely none of what they said but was in a bit of a fantasy romance kick after reading The Hidden Paths (absolutely recommend) and snapped it up when i saw it "on shelf" but now it's just sitting there. it's so chonky. send help.
