When I first pictured Gaius I imagined him as looking something like a young Emperor Augustus.

He looks like he's in his early teens, has pale blonde hair, very pale skin, blue eyes, and wears modern casual clothing (hoodies, sweatpants, etc). He doesn't dress up for court (he doesn't care enough about the Night Court to do that) and is constantly drinking blood (so is always holding a glass, bottle, jug, or human).

When he's vamping out his eyes go all black and all of his teeth go sharp.

This is honestly why I wanted to write Thicker Than. Vampires aren't good guys, but seeing them from the wolves' perspective paints them in a very particular (and very negative) light. Their society is more brutal and complex then the werewolves know, and a vampire lord may very quickly become very desperate in a situation like that of Blood Moon.

Unlike werewolves, vampires eat their own.

Can I assume from the Peter Pan references you also like the movie Hook? Because from "to die would be a great adventure" to "It's the only one you have left" to "I want my war!" I'm getting some Gaius vibes. 👀

Yeah. I think a small amount of Gaius rubbed off on players who mind meshed with him. A bit of his language (and perhaps a bit of his chaos if player's want).

POV. You're an interactive fiction author and (for marketing purposes) you want to take a screenshot of that scene you wrote where one character low key implies the protagonist sucks a lot of dick, only to realise there's a 'your' vs 'you're' mistake on that page.

i apologize if this is a stupid/spoilery question but, after spending five years locked up with him has tracy 'forgiven' (or come to any sort of understanding) with illiya? and if she hasn't, would she be upset or wary at all with blackwell continuing to romance him? i've always loved their bickering dynamic so i'm wondering how that changed after he was revealed as a traitor

Hi. I just wanted to tell you how I absolutely loved the update/the story as a whole; I am having such a good time it's unbelievable. The betrayal (podstava as we russian related people like to call it) was so thrilling - i was holding my breath absolutly brutal i live for this. I am knees deep in Nathan-Lee-please-save-me route and ahhhhhhh i just ate it up. I cannot believe it took years!!!! The tension of the convo about the tracker had me bending over my screen!!! And the little tibit about coughing up liver was so gross - nice touch :D The Jester with the half empty cup was so good i was kicking my feet grinning when I picked it.

I love thicker than so much; you are amazing and I will be reading whatever you write until the end of time
