Recs for anon (and for Toz, assuming you haven't already read all of them - they're all time travel 😂):

the bridge that always burns behind us by elumish: 40k, WIP, last updated this year. Premise is "Shikamaru and Neji have been tasked to go back into the past and Fix Things, they end up going back further than planned and land a day or two before the Uchiha Massacre". I really love the way the fic handles their PTSD and the general horror of "I'm an adult but everyone is treating me like a child and nobody trusts in my competence suddenly" - it's very much a significant factor but it doesn't completely incapacitate the narrative. Things Happen! It's only 40k and already two major changes to the timeline! A rarity for time travel fics :D Also I like the choice of main characters! That alone changes the narrative rather a lot from the Team 7 time travellers I usually read. ALSO also there just keeps being interesting consequences to the characters' decisions! People keep making decisions counter to what The Time Travellers want and they can't do much about it. Fun narrative tension!

don't trust them, brother (oh, but look at me now) by UtahRaptor: 60k, WIP, last updated this year. Reverse time travel! Izuna upon his death finds himself instead waking up at the Uchiha Massacre. Sasuke isn't the only last Uchiha! Izuna has NO idea what the fuck is happening and has the MOST distrust of this damn Senju village! It's already gone fantastically well and terribly poorly and I cannot wait for Izuna to continue to fail to be inconspicuous, and also for him to fall on his face hard when he keeps being suspicious in all the wrong directions. XD (Also he respects Gai, which is already a big plus in my books.)

kit and kin by Lolistar92: 30k, WIP (but it's a series of internally-complete short stories), last updated last year. In which post-canon Kakashi presumably dies of old age and wakes up again at 14, determined to fix Naruto's childhood this time (and a bunch of other things on the way, of course). The first fic is just him trolling the Sandaime hard into giving up and giving him custody of Naruto (and then panicking as soon as he does have it), which I found extremely funny. I really like the ongoing comedy of Kakashi cheerfully going around planning to make major changes everywhere and shocking ending with it, and I very much enjoy the politicking he's doing! It feels very low-stakes in a way I like from time travel fics, but I'm still rather invested because the journey there is entirely novel to me!

Thank you for your effort. I have indeed read some of these, but perhaps that anon has not.
