there's no like... meaningful analysis here i just looked at finral roulacase ma'am and said "lesbian" because i am a lesbian and i also have fun hair (it's currently green right now funnily enough!!!). a lot of my headcanons for finral is projection but tbh who cares! i have fun with it and it makes his character a bit more fun if you look at it like he's a girl (gender neutral, he falls on the transfem side of the spectrum to me though). plus genderfuckery is correct and fun!

Tonight, Tim's foregone his laptop. For once in his life, he's had enough of numbers. He just wants to relax with his boyfriend.

Jason's hand drops into his hair, stroking idly through the strands. Tim's eyelids droop. He raises his hand, wrapping it around Jason's knee; thumb pressed to the back of it. Jason's leg shifts to accommodate him.

He smiles, humming softly. He turns his face, pressing a kiss to Jason's thigh. Jason's fingers pause in his hair for a moment, and then continue; the gentle scratch of nails against his scalp making Tim wish he could purr, pushing into his hands.

Jason laughs; a soft huff of air that turns Tim's insides soft and fuzzy. "Overgrown kitten," he murmurs.

Tim's mouth twitches. "Meow~"

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? All of the Amis keep some secrets from their parents but Joly just. Lies constantly. So So So Much Lying. He's honest about his illnesses and his problems with studies but everything else is just shameless prevarication all the way down. it's not that he thinks his folks would be mad about anything , although something ah hahaha yyyyeah they would , but mostly he just know they'd fuss. They'd Worry. They'd have So Much Advice. It's just so much easier to lie! He is not a writer but he's made up more stories than Prouvaire and with a more complex interconnected backstory. At this point his friends also enjoy hearing about what Hypothetical Joly is getting up to.

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire? I like most of the people he actually has a relationship with in canon so let's go with Mother Hucheloup: I think he's her favorite of the group, because he's mostly well behaved--for a Parisian college student-- and he Actually Pays For Things,but more than that he's just kind her favorite--not like a kid she might have had but like a favorite nephew, maybe, not that she's had a nephew, but she can guess. And his jokes make sense, not like those two friends of his. Hmph.

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like? I like it when people make him cheerfully Very Weird :D He's Eccentric! quite a loaded term for his era! Nearly any Harmless Weirdness works for me with his character, especially if can be health focused-- syncing sleep to moon phases? Environmental Sound Sculpting? Dying his hair for Color Therapy? Sure! Anything! Although there's a special place in my heart for Joly looking utterly normal/bourgie and only upon entering conversation revealing that he's a complete freak (extremely affectionate <3)

1/? If you wrote a thesis on Arthur and Eames I would literally carry it around in my pocket & read it daily, so I’m begging you!! Please don’t spare your 5k essay on why you think Arthur thinks he doesn’t have a chance with Eames!! I Wanna know your thoughts on this!! Because I think it’s a combination of elements. Firstly I think initially Arthur truly believes Eames doesn’t like him. They’re too different. Arthur is everything Eames isn’t & vice versa. & even tho the saying goes “opposites

2/? attract”.. sometimes you just clash & that’s that.. I think at first he also mistakes Eames playfulness, his snark, quips & attempts at riling Arthur up as genuine condescension & disdain. I also read once in a fic where Arthur made a comment about how nobody likes the pointman cos at the end of the day it’s his job to pick apart everybody else’s work & point out the weaknesses. So the idea that a guy like Eames, who as a forger has one of the most creative/artistic roles in dreamshare. --- 3/3 would be interested in a guy whose role often involves probably telling people to tone it down... yeah. Not gonna happen. & then I think there’s that fear of mixing business with pleasure. The idea of ruining such a great working partnership by bringing something as messy as FEELINGS into it? I think that’s something that would make Arthur not even entertain the idea of ever having anything more with Eames because how could he ever risk losing Eames as a work partner?

Aha, are you ready? Obvs these are all just my headcanons, and that the beauty of inception is that the characters can be who we want them to be, all interpretations are valid, etc etc...

So, with Arthur and why I think he thinks doesn't have a chance with Eames. You're right that it's a combination of elements:

I think, at his core, Arthur like, all of us, carries some kind of emotional bruising when it comes to loving and being loved. And like, all of us, Arthur does not think he's perfect. He has self-perceived flaws. Every single one of us, as human beings, has insecurities - even Arthur. I think he uses all of the surface, logical, 'rational' arguments like not wanting to mix business and pleasure to justify not actually addressing these hurts and insecurities.

You know my personal headcanon for Arthur, generally speaking canonically, is that he did not come from money. He grew up poor with a parent that wasn't, say, well enough to be there for him the way a child would need. That he was the caretaker in the household most of the time.

And, bear with me here, on Arthur caring about his looks - Arthur is buttoned up to all hell not because of vanity, but because of how he will be perceived--- he wears his suits less like armour and more like a weapon. Arthur, to me, is scrappy, not defensive.

But despite how he presents himself, deep down Arthur still is that fourteen year old version of himself, the one that lashed out everyone Eventually, he learned to control that anger, the one that showed everyone else where he was wounded -- but he never addressed the ways he was hurt, or the parts of him that has always been deeply lonely. As an adult he isn't keen on loving anyone else because it's always been a one-way transaction. He does not know how to interpret loving someone and being loved in return. For him, what does that even look like? Arthur doesn't want to love anyone because he's never received the same output of love he gives out. And maybe he thinks something is wrong with him, for feeling affection the way he does and never truly getting it back in kind - platonic, familial or romantic.

So he wears his weaponry to keep people from getting too close to touch, figuratively speaking. And maybe Eames takes him on face value for a beat too long.

While I don't really consider Arthur and Eames to be opposites, I do think they are flip sides of the same coin. They share a basic foundation, beliefs, ethics - but can also clash where they combine. It's like when you just... get someone on a basic level, like you share a frequency without needing years of getting to know them. Like when you meet someone and you just know you must have known each other in a past life. Arthur thinks that this weird, antagonistic thing he has with Eames is something different, isn't it? Except, it isn't. It's just love, baby.

Arthur feels it, with Eames. That 'something'. Over time it develops into a feeling that is both thrum and quiet. Like his whole body is vibrating but also completely still just by being near him, thinking about him.

But, at least initially, Arthur is just too... wary to place his money on it, that feeling. It's never provided dividends before.

Which isn't to say that Eames is the one to show Arthur he is 'worth loving', or anything like that. I believe that Arthur comes to that realisation all by himself - realistically, they're both still young and young enough to be insecure at the time of the film. Late 20's, 30s? Babies, in the grand scheme of adulthood. They are only just consolidating out who they are, really. But Arthur, at some point, realizes its okay to put his sword down and be loved in a different way from those who'd said they'd loved him before. To have someone take care of him, to run point for him. He gets better at reading love languages.

And I think, to address Arthurs own insecurities -- we all also have that kind of rose-tinted view of the ones we love while thinking we are plain and unremarkable - we look at them and go fuck, you are amazing, you are incredible, you can do anything and you don't even know it, how do you not know how powerful you are?? --- that's part of it too. Maybe he looks at Eames, Cobb and Mal and thinks just that. Maybe he wonders in what world would Eames ever look at him the same way? Maybe he does underestimate his own power and he takes it all too seriously and to heart when he's not perfect. Maybe he can't look past his own fuck ups in life and in work that it truly clouds his perception of himself and his compatibility with others.

That, I think, are the basic fears Arthur has. It's like inception, right, these 'simplest version of ideas' manifest in more convoluted ones. Those fears get translated and articulated into very simple 'reasonable' arguments he hoodwinks himself with so he never has to face his own vulnerability: it would never work out. I don't like the way he does x, y, z. He is so annoying. He doesn't even like me like that. It'd be bad for business. It's not worth the risk. We're here to work.

So I think Arthur leaves his attraction to Eames like a mailbox slowly accumulating with more and more junk mail. He'll clean it out some day, pushed aside in his own mind, left unattended by him for a long time without realizing the pile is growing. On this, some of my fave fics are the ones where Arthur has this sort of... comically misbehaving subconscious because of his ignored affection for Eames. The ones where there are errant projections who fawn over Eames, or the ones where his subconscious is literally incapable of hurting him. I think Arthur is not.. repressed... as an individual, but the feelings he has for Eames are so large and encompassing and that he's tried to fit it into too small of a box, and that box is spilling out at the sides. What he feels cannot be contained or disposed of. He would be that kind of hot mess.

But, Arthur, you darling fool. The feeling is mutual.

snow leopard gojo is such a clingy baby.. always want to be wrapped around you.. he would rub his cheek against yours while you give him his daily supply of cuddles!! he also formed a habit of wrapping his tail around you whenever you two stand together, it's always brushing against you or wrapped around a limb or your waist. he loves it when it gets you ticklish too since his tail is so soft and fluffy ... i want to kiss him all over his face and rub behind his ears just to hear him purr in delight he's so fucking cute ;_;

plug!eren is so much more things-while-you're-asleep. he's super emotionally inept honestly so he feels the most comfortable confessing his feelings to you while you're cuddled in his arms. he'll never be the first to say anything unless it slips out without him meaning to say it, so trust me when i say this man is 24/7 mumbling things against your shoulder while he's got you as the little spoon all wrapped up with him. you're so beautiful and never leave me and the first time he says i love you, it's into the back of your neck when you're definitely not asleep and he doesn't realize :')

best friend!eren is also fairly outspoken about how he feels once given the space and opportunity. he's also the roughest, angstiest eren of them all, shockingly enough, so i picture him finding you asleep on the couch after you stormed out of your bedroom after a fight, claiming you were going to sasha's and you were done this time. he scoops you up, kisses your forehead, whispering little i'm sorry, baby and never going to hurt you again, promise and don't ever scare me like that against your skin

why yarra over drakka or the opposite?

For me, what it came down to was: what choice would my Aloy have made? I play Aloy as a pragmatist, and I think she would have seen Yarra's plan as the safest for the clan. Sure, Drakka could take over--and be in the exact same position Yarra is in, with added "well. I didn't think I would get this far!" Overall, I saw what Yarra's actions, though secretive and clandestine, as necessary safeguard for the Desert Clan while the issue was investigated.

That's not to say she was completely right, though. The paranoia, the anger/control. And I do love how Aloy pushes back against her, no matter your choice. Both Yarra and Drakka's sides were flawed in different ways, and I saw Yarra's as the clearer way to a good outcome to the water issue.

ignoring his need for the bathroom because someone needs his help with some urgent task, and he can't say no to that, they asked for his help after all! but halfway through, he's barely able to concentrate, and despite his best efforts to hide it, he goes from seemingly fine to bending over and whining desperately as he can't stop his bladder from finally giving out. it's like something breaks inside him and he just... can't hold on anymore. they ask him later why he didn't just excuse himself for a moment, and he answers honestly: the thought hadn't even crossed his mind.

also, the possibility of someone taking advantage of that? kink play where it'll start off subtle, with various distractions interspersed with some of his favourite drinks. something will conveniently come up right when he's starting to feel like he might need to go, and his help would be greatly appreciated, so surely he can hold it for just a bit longer...

and then 'a bit longer' quickly becomes far too long for kaveh to make it through the task, and at this point, he's surely caught on, but he loves the challenge, and the way his bladder feels rock hard low in his abdomen is doing something to his head and he doesn't want it to stop. but eventually, it has to, because he's had far too much to drink, and his willpower is draining, and some part of him knows it'll feel so good to finally let go...

and when he does, he's flush with humiliation at the accident, but some part of him loves that feeling too. he normally isn't the sort to relish in his own misfortunes, but when said misfortune feels so good, he can't exactly be angry about that, can he?

also, he's the sort that doesn't make a big fuss when he's desperate, other than the occasional complaining or a bouncing leg. as much as he's the dramatic sort, he doesn't often play up his true struggles, as he doesn't like them as the center of attention, and he'd treat his desperation the same. because he's always on the move and fidgeting with something or other, it's honestly pretty hard to tell when he's desperate until the moment he starts leaking, at which point any composure he had completely falls away into a desperate, broken mess. he can no longer be quiet about it, with little whines and moans slipping out at every spurt of relief, and he looks like he's about to combust from shame.

anyways I think he should maybe piss himself a little bit. for science and totally innocent reasons. yep

When did Dion and Joshua become engaged?

Without espousing the entire off blog canon of my writing with @phoenixfiiire the short answer is about a year after the events of Origin. Dion was sending letters to Joshua while rebuilding Sanbreque as the new Emperor but Joshua big stresso depresso cause Clive chose to sacrifice himself to save both him and Dion using raise (although, I think for tumblr we leave it vague whether Clive survived or not) and never returned to those letters so Dion decided to go to Rosaria himself to "normalize" relations with Rosaria and after some back and forth he announced his intention to court and marry Joshua.

They were already super in love before that cause Dion actually joined the merry gang of misfits for missions and stuff in this blog canon instead of just brooding at the hide away until your ready to go fight ultima lmaoaoo.

On Terence since I know people wonder: there's no bad blood. They're still close friends however in my canon with Benji they broke up after Dion sent Terence to care for Khiel in Twinside. Terence does come back and act as Dion's second in command. He just couldn't stand by and watch. Dion self implode anymore and honestly good for him? We love Terence. Stan a king.)

(--I also write an au where Dion does not return to Sanbreque as Emperor and instead goes and lives in a hut in the woods with Terence and Khiel! Primarily written with @dragondevoted who is also Benji. )
