her name is ronnie! left is her in her costume when she's working, right is when she's off duty. she's from a little shrimp fishing town on the mississippi river that leads out to the gulf. her family have been doing it for generations and she sometimes gives them a hand still when she visits home. she's cajun! she's a little stand-offish but loves her family. at work her and lori will butt heads but they get the job done and consider each other friends :)

18. what does your watcher think about woedica trying to communicate with them during poe2?

Allara has mixed feelings about this. On the one hand she really hates Woedica, and Woedica calling her like a dog to insult mortals really grinds Allara's gears. She finds it humiliating and a waste of time, time which she could be using to follow Eothas. On the other hand, Allara really wants to prove that mortals have a chance, she wants nothing more than to prove Woedica wrong, and it's in these conversations that Allara is able to make her case and fight back in the only meaningful way she can against the gods. She takes it as the opportunity to gloat that she's already ruined Woedica's plans before and does get some satisfaction out of this. Objectively, she does find the conversations fascinating (as with all the gods) but she's not really able to appreciate this until after Deadfire, when she's not so caught up in the stress and emotions of it all that she can acknowledge that she got some unique perspectives on Eora and the Wheel, Woedica's included (even if Allara disagrees with it)

22. Favourite place you visited this year? I was very lucky to visit a few places I'd never been before this year (in the UK and in Belgium) and though I really loved Bruges and Leuven, my absolute fave is Edinburgh. I LOVED the city, I loved how nice people were and how beautiful and unique the architecture is and how great the public transport system was that allowed us to visit so much so easily and how small it is that everything is within walking distance and Dean's Village and Leith (and the walk by the water with the statues) it was genuinely such a coup de coeur I would love to get the opportunity to move there for a while in the future Sometimes you travel somewhere and you have a fun time but you're happy to get back to your things and sometimes you travel somewhere and it's like you find a piece of yourself you didn't know you were missing and that's how I felt in Edinburgh 18. A memorable meal this year? Oh I have so many, uhm, one morning in Austin with a few friends I'd met at the hostel I was staying we decided to go get breakfast at this dinner like place and not only was it delicious, it was such a fun place with fun music and we sat at the counter and the person working there was just so nice and honestly all the meals I have in Austin are always so memorable and delicious but that one morning when we got up a bit earlier to have time to get that longer type sitting down breakfast before our day's activities was a big hit! Another great meal has to be our first lunch together in Edinburgh with bookclub in that lil pub's back room (Innis & Gunn) after trying to find a place that could host all 8 of us, and that nice waiter who was from Canada too telling us a bit about moving to Edinburgh and the nerves of meeting everyone in person and the adrenaline of meeting everyone in person, you know, lots of emotions but such a good meal and a surreal moment that started our week or shenanigans perfectly (honestly I could mention any and all of our meals that week, the potatoes and lasagna, the sushi at Vittoria's, the lunch at Old Chain Pier (what a view!) And a third one, one that isn't so memorable for the food (actually I don't remember what I ate), but the meal where after eating, my sister told us she's expecting a baby! The dinner was just an excuse to all be together for her to let us all know at the same time (my parents, my other sister and I). Sometimes the most memorable meals aren't about meals actually they're about the moment :) again thank you for asking!!! <3

Okay so this is my current, main WIP that's rapidly becoming one of those projects I put on such a pedestal I become insane about it. I'm feeling weirdly confident in my ability to finish it soon (even if it's slow right now, after this week I'll have more time for it) but it could still take a couple months because it's turning out a lot longer than I expected. With all of that being the case, I'm a liiiiiittle protective of the draft itself, so snippets will be short and lack context.

This is the time loop fic! It's set on the Fourth of July, 1953 (aka beach day aka baby on the bus day), hence the document title, but it does have an actual title now.

The air is still and thick. He feels the prick on his neck and swats too late; the mosquito flies off, leaving a small welt rising.

That mosquito... I have a virtual post-it note on my laptop about that mosquito. I have a lot of virtual post-it notes. This is the most planned a fic has ever been, which is why I'm fairly confident in my ability to write it.
