Creator Spotlight: @66sharkteeth
66 is a comic artist and the creator of City of Blank, a WEBTOON original series. They worked in the game industry at companies such as 2K Games before entering the field of comics. They began their career in comics at Tapas, where they worked as an editor and lead typesetter, before being signed to create their own original series on WEBTOON.

Have you ever had an art block? If so, how did you overcome it?
The short answer is yeah, I’ve definitely had one. Overall, I feel like doing a lot of style studies during that time and trying to use new brushes helps a lot. In addition, because I’m a comic artist, I feel like writer’s block is in the same field, and with that, I’m really fortunate that I have an editor that I can work with, who helps me a lot there. Whenever I am stuck at a plot point in my comic, I can always go to my editor, who helps me hammer things out.
What medium have you always been intrigued by but would never use yourself?
Animation. Of course, everyone loves animation. I went to school for game art and design and even did some animation courses, and I am just not cut out for it. I don’t enjoy the process, and I am not good at it. Animation is beautiful, and I admire people who can do it. I’d love for my work to be animated some day, I’m just not capable of being the one to do it haha.
Warm tones or cool tones?
It really depends on the scene! Especially in my comic, I really go with both of them, just depending on the moment in the comic. There was a major character death, and that scene was almost black and white. But normally, the comic is very vibrant, and people really like it, so when I switch it to a more cold tone, it makes the scene that much more impactful.
What is a recent creative project that you are proud of?
Honestly, my current comic, City of Blank, takes up 100% of my time. But recently, I did a plushie campaign where I worked with Makeship through Webtoon to design the plushies and do a little bit of marketing for them. So that’s fun and different from what I normally do!
When planning a comic or a story, what do you do first, character design or character outline?
Normally, I have a design, and I fall in love with the character design, and then I find a role for them. That’s how a lot of my characters have started. Also, that’s how I’ve been tackling new projects that I want to work on after City of Blank. I just came up with a character, and I’m trying to make a story around them.
What is a convention experience that has stuck with you?
Meeting readers and realizing how much my work means to some of them. Some of them have started their own comics, having been inspired by mine. Learning that I’m part of the reason they started their own comic journey, the same way I looked to other inspiring comic artists to start mine—it means the world that I’m in that position now.
Top tips on setting up an Artist Alley booth?
Let’s see…bright, sparkly colors! I think just trying to make sure that the booth is eye-catching. I ended up making a big shiny banner for New York Comic Con, and I know many people stopped by because it caught their eye and they’re curious about what it is. I know a lot of people are selling merchandise of popular media. Even just a banner of your brand to get them curious about who you are and maybe interested in seeing what you make and taking a business card so they can look you up later. It’s better than someone just buying a pin and forgetting you exist. Lastly, put out a tip jar. You never know just how generous your fans are feeling.
Who on Tumblr inspires you and why?
I’m mostly involved in the webtoon sphere! I am definitely inspired by my fellow Webtoon creators, @lark-wren, who created the series Woven. I love their work and seeing them interact with their readers on Tumblr. Same with fellow Webtoon creators, @miranda-mundt-art and @astrobleme-enterprises, who created Lovebot.

I’ve got so many more snake and snake related questions and so I’m just gonna give them in a big list:
I thought that your “animal bones” tag said “snake bones” and now I’m fascinated by that idea as a tag and generally snake skeleton stuff. This isn’t a question I suppose.
Is the number of vertebra of a snake (minus the tail vertebra) comparable in amount to human vertebra?
Are snake scales and snake skin made out of the same stuff human skin and nails and hair are made of (keratin and collagen and the like)?
Are any snakes physically capable of chewing or generally eating something not-whole? Do any of them chew?
To your knowledge, was the creation of syringe needles inspired in any way by snake fangs?
How do scientists milk venom, physically? How much can you take from a snake in one go without harming it? How often?
What are your “smartest” and “dumbest” snakes, if such a thing can be quantified?

2. Nope! People have like 24 vertebrae, with snakes it depends on species length but snakes have between 100-600. Snake tails are actually pretty short when compared to their torsos (look at the skeleton image below, the tail starts where the ribs end); tails have as few as 10 and as many as a couple hundred vertebrae. Those numbers sound very variable, and that's because snakes just vary so wildly in size and shape!
3. Yes! The same materials make up snake skin and scales as make up human skin and nails. Same stuff, different blueprint! :)
4. Snakes are built very specifically to swallow whole prey, and there are no real exceptions to this. No snake can chew. Some snakes, like snail-eaters, have specialized teeth and jaws designed to "scoop" snails out of their shells so sometimes they don't get it all in one go, but even they are built to try and get as much out at once as possible.
5. Not to my knowledge, I think it's a matter of convergent evolution! :) Hollow needles are just really good at getting stuff into other stuff.
6. When we do venom extractions from snakes, we usually just have them bite a funnel and what they give us is what they give us. If a certain venom is in very high demand, then sometimes we'll express the venom glands while the snake is biting down. That involves gently squeezing the glands to ensure a good amount of venom is released in the bite. It looks rough but I promise it's not, the hold is as gentle as possible and the snakes are not hurt in the process! You gently hold the snake's neck to keep them restrained and keep everyone safe (if you lightly squeeze your wrist just hard enough to manually tilt your hand, it's about that much pressure) and you use your fingers on the opposite hand to express the glands.
We might get 1/10 a teaspoon from each snake per extraction, it's genuinely just a few drops. It takes multiple snakes to get enough to do anything with. At my lab we extract from each snake about once every other week; they need time to relax in between! Venom isn't necessary to remain healthy for lab snakes, but we don't want to stress them.
7. In general, elapids (cobras and their relatives) are the smartest snakes I've ever worked with! King cobras absolutely take the award here, they're so intelligent and curious and just a treat to interact with. Our old boy at my lab, Puppy, can put himself in his handling tube and is always such a show-off for tours. One of my favorite snakes at the lab is an Egyptian cobra named Seth, he's so much fun and loves figuring out the food puzzles and mazes I set up for him!
As for dumbest...I've said it before and I'll say it again, but hognoses are just absolutely zero thoughts animals.

The Runway- Part 5
Lenny Miller x reader (Cillian Murphy Anna’s movie)
A/N I walked around this chapter for so long, I wasn’t sure if it should take this direction at this stage, but rewriting it would take me a few more days and I don’t want to delay it anymore so, I hope you like this! 🥰

“It’s fine, really I don’t care if I don’t close this runway.” Y/N tried to resonate with Lenny, he was pacing around like a animal in a cage.
“He knew, Richardson knew what he was doing.” Lenny was fuming.
Y/N shook her head, he was always trying to confront her with Anna and this was his best chance, at the most important runway show of the season. “Lenny it’s one runway, I’m not fighting with my sister over this.”
“We’re talking about the most important show, Y/N.” He sighed frustrated. “I can’t sit and do nothing.”
“I don’t care about taking he runway at all, to be honest… this is not like we’re finding those girls remember? That’s something that really matters.”
Suddenly Lenny had a better plan, he knew Anna would be atending a meet and greet with some fans and an after party at the end of the runway.
“You know what? You’re right, let’s go.” He took his tie and the jacket of his suit and called the security team to start moving.
But she knew he wasn’t done with it, just by looking at him typing on his phone as they were driven to the venue, she knew Lenny wouldn’t let this go.

Make up artists, stylists, models, everyone were shocked to learn the last minute changes regarding to Anna closing the runway instead of Y/N. But she kept a professional environment and mentioned her agent would release an statement.
She didn’t know how her ex manager landed that deal or if Anna was involved at all, but honestly she didn’t care about it.
“I’m truly sorry darling.” Donatella apologized before the fashion show started.
“It’s alright.”
“This was beyond my control… but let me make it up to you, how about we finally start working on that handbags project you wanted?”
Lenny saw the way Y/N’s eyes sparkled at the proposal.
“Meet me in my villa next week, stay for the weekend and we can have a chat.”
As Y/N thanked her, the fashion designer gave her shoulders a squeeze and left to make sure the show was perfect.
She could be the one opening or closing the runway, it simply didn’t matter, Lenny realized that as the photographers went crazy when Y/N stepped ready to take over. And it didn’t matter because it was her who owned the runway, he didn’t know how to put it into words, but she could be walking with a potatoes sack and still look fabulous.
“You thought you could just take them away from me and I’d watch you? No, I got a front row ticket and Anna is filling my pockets.” Richardson whispered in a mischievous tone.
“Congratulations man.” Lenny offered him his hand. Using his skills to charm the other agent. “You won this battle. How are you celebrating?”
“Chateau… private booth, you should join me and my pals.”
Richardson offered him a card with his name on it and a pass.
“Count me in.” Lenny held the straight face until the bastard was out of his sight.
That’s when he started moving to meet Y/N backstage. “You were great. The best like always.” He tried to cheer her up.
“Thanks, I can’t wait to head home.” Deep down he knew she was disappointed, but for a different reason, she was hurt.
“I think I might have something, there’s an after party at a club, Anna’s attending and you should come.”
“I’m really tired, would you mind if I skip it?” Y/N was done with her belongings, with all of this.
Lenny shook his head. “Of course not, I’m asking the driver to take you to the hotel, see you later?” He was torn between comforting her and going to the club.
“Sure.” Y/N turned around to press her lips into Lenny’s, it was a short kiss, but it was enough for Anna to see as she opened the door without knocking, she slowly closed it before her sister and manager pulled apart.
She knocked innocently, as if she didn’t see anything. “Y/N are you there?”
Taking a step back, Y/N pretended to fix her hair in the opposite corner. “Come in.”
Anna smiled looking between the pair. “Just wanted to check if you’re coming to the party?”
“Sorry, no… I’m heading back to the hotel. Want to have some rest, I’ve a headache.” She lied making a big effort to put a smile on her face.
“That sucks, feel better sis.” Anna said without showing an ounce of actually giving a damn about Y/N.
“Why didn’t you tell me about the after party you organized?” Lenny asked looking annoyed at the model.
“Because I told you that as soon as the Fashion Week was over, you’d no longer be my agent, right now our contract is over so… officially I don’t have to tell you anything I do.” Anna gave him a defiant look.
“Anna.” Y/N called in a warning tone. “Lenny is only trying to help us.”
“Us? I think he’s been helping you more than anything.” Anna gave her sister a look up and down.
Frowning, Y/N asked her what she meant.
“Oh, I thought you might know more about that than me.” Anna clapped and she looked from Lenny to her sister once more, making a triumphant face.
As Anna left the dressing room, Lenny kept his eyes on Y/N, watching her frustration becoming more evident by the minute.
“Just ignore her, Y/N she’s trying to piss you off, like every single sister in the world.”
“You say it like you know about it.”
Lenny chuckled and the sound was enough to get Y/N’s attention. “I actually do, I’ve a sister, she’s older than me.”
Her face changed completely, it was so strange from him to open up about anything, let alone something so personal.
“You’re lying.”
But Lenny shook his head in a soft motion.
“She’s the most annoying sister ever, but I love her to death… maybe one day you could meet her?”
Y/N softened her expression, a smile started growing on her lips. “I’d love to!”
“Gimme a minute, okay?” Lenny gave her a gentle squeeze and rushed out from the dressing room.
Despite the brief smile, Lenny could see the sadness in her eyes, and it was tearing him apart. He walked past a dozen of models changing their clothes, assistants hanging the dresses, cleaning up the make up stations.
Close to the exit, there she was, the woman he had been looking for. She listened intensely at the question the reporter was making and answered immediately, praising the runway, the collection and the opportunity to close successfully one more fashion show. They laughed at something she mentioned and then her eyes landed on him.
One look and she was calling out for the night. Thanking the reporters, she walked towards Lenny.
“Mr. Miller, this way please.” She lead the way to a dressing room that was adequated as a small office.
“How can I help you?” Donatella asked, giving him her undivided attention.
“About your offer to Y/N….” Lenny crossed his arms against his chest. “She’s going through a hard time right now, I was wondering if I could ask you about the Villa , if Y/N could stay there for a few days.”
“Yes, absolutely. My assistant will give you the code to enter the property, she’ll make sure there’s everything she needs. I just have to ask you for a favor, Mr. Miller.”
“Anything.”
“Don’t leave her alone. I can tell how much she looks up to you. You really care about Y/N.” Donatella stated.
Lenny didn’t even try to hide it.
“I do, ma’am.”
“Good.”
“I’ll send over something for you too then. Ciao.”
“Ready? The driver is waiting for you.” Lenny stepped in Y/N’s dressing room.
“I don’t want to deal with the reporters tonight, I can’t.” Y/N shook her head.
“Hey just get comfortable, have some rest and I’ll try to get there as soon as I can.” Lenny caressed Y/N’s face. “I’ll take care of that and the club.”
“What are you going to do?”
“I might find something tonight.”
She felt her heart skip a beat, would it lead to something related to Anna?
Pressing his lips against hers, Lenny stepped out of her car and watched it drive away.
Lenny pretended to drink from his glass, his eyes scanning the club, looking for something out of place, instinct on alert.
This wasn’t part of the official investigation, with the amount of experience he had accumulated over the years he knew when to follow his gut at this point of his life.
“Hey man,” the bartender motioned Lenny to get closer, “you’re new around right?”
“Yeah, just stoping by to have a blast.” He tried to play it cool.
The bartender looked at his shoes and watch, no ring on his left hand.
“A couple of fellas recommended this place for its variety.”
“Yeah there’s a lot, listen we’ve some off the menu specials if you know what I mean.” He talked over the music, Lenny knew he was in the right place.
“That’s exactly what I’m looking for.” He cocked a smile.
“Right, just take a look around, let me know and head upstairs for the private rooms. Tell them Anto sent you.”
“Anto?” Lenny rubbed his chin.
“Antonio.”
“Anyone huh?”
Anto started cleaning the counter. “Yeah if they aren’t drunk enough we’ll deal with it.”
“Oh, I definitely appreciate that.” Lenny slipped a bill under his glass and patted Anto on the shoulder. “I guess there’s just premium quality?”
“That’s about right, specially tonight it’s a private event and girls come from different places. They only let in A type.”
Lenny looked at the man with a frown. “Not following.”
“A type are elite girls, international students, 10/10, tourists.”
“It’s going to be hard to pick just one.” Lenny continued with the talk, feeling disgusted.
“You can come back tomorrow, there will be different merchandise.”
Lenny leaned forward with interest.
“Should I get a VIP card then? What if I want let’s say… two for the night?”
“You look like the kind of client this club wants, I can arrange that for you. Get a bargain before they’re shipped away.”
Just as he was about to ask something else, someone caught his eye.
“What about her?” He pointed at Anna, testing the waters.
“Oh no, not her… you don’t want that kind of trouble.” Anto stated.
Swallowing, Lenny looked at his glass.
“Is she that wild?”
“You don’t know her?!” Anto was shocked. “Top model, she’s the boss’s woman, out of everybody’s league.”
“Haven’t seen her.” He lied and shook his head. So the boss is around? Lenny wondered. “Anyways let me take a look and I’ll let you know.”
From afar his eyes followed Anna, she was smiling and posing for pictures with anyone who asked her, dancing to the beat of the music and drinking.
In the opposite corner he pointed at Anto, the barman talked to someone on a radio and he was approached by a waiter almost immediately.
“The girl with the orange dress.” He whispered, she was hard to miss and he could bet his life she was underage, but wearing that kind of clothes and heavy make up, she easily passed for someone older.
Lenny wasn’t prepared for what happened then, someone tapped Anna on the shoulder, said something in her ear and minutes later she was moving from to group, smiling at everyone, after chatting for an instant with some girls, she approached the girl with the orange dress, as they were having a chat, a waiter put a few drops of something in her drink while she was distracted.
She was definitely involved, now he just needed to catch her.
But he wasn’t allowed to see more as he was guided upstairs to a private room, it was small and he could tell the bad smell was disguised with some strong scent.
“You’ve to pay in advance.” The guard informed him, Lenny didn’t back down he was trying to intimidate him.
“What if I’m not pleased with the merchandise?”
“Oh you can ask for a refund.” The guard spatted with sarcasm.
“Do you know how to have a joke?”
But before the guard could answer Lenny, the girl arrived escorted by a waiter, she could hardly stand by herself, she was holding her head, it was evident she felt dizzy.
“Do you think we could be the nexts to have her? Before they ship her overseas?” Lenny heard the waiter say. His head was pounding, he wanted to punch someone, something.
“Oh I was planning to have a little fun before they take her.” The guard replied and Lenny felt like his stomach was turning inside of him.
Of course he wouldn’t abuse this girl, he wanted to find a way to save her.
He helped her to throw up in the bin, in an attempt to get the drugs out of her system, but he didn’t have any meds or backup help.
I can’t sleep, are you still in the club?- Y/N texted him.
Yes! Come over, meet me at the back door. SOS. - He replied.
The only way out was to have some kind of incident. Something that would make them all look the other way. So he opened the door and taking the chance because no one was around, he pulled the fire alarms. As the place was filled with panic over the noise and the sprinklers started spreading water around, he was able to carry the girl outside the room.
Another waiter found him midway and was about to ask for help as Lenny was holding the girl in his arms, but he was faster and punched him right in the face, then he knocked his head against the wall to leave him unconscious.
As everything turned into chaos inside the club and people tried to leave, Lenny managed to make it to the back door, his heart was pounding, he was driven by an adrenaline rush as he heard vehicles approaching, screeching tires against the pavement, he moved quickly to hide behind a dumpster, the girl hanging from his shoulder groaned. The smell was terrible, but moving right now would be a stupid thing to do as four black SUV parked and he witnessed how Anna was escorted to the first vehicle, she was followed by a man he couldn’t recognize and then the SUV sped up to disappear in seconds.
Peeking out, Lenny then saw six girls being pushed inside. In seconds they were gone.
“Adam,” Lenny whispered on the phone, “follow a black SUV and track the vehicle number.” He asked and repeated the number.
“Boss b-” Adam started. Lenny knew he wasn’t following the plan structure, but sometimes you have to take another route.
“Just do it Adam.”
After hanging up, the screen on his phone showed and incoming call from Y/N.
“I’m close, but there’s a lot of traffic.”
“Meet me in the back of the building, you can take a turn in the next block.” He instructed as he saw her location on his phone.
“But it’s in the opposite direction.” Y/N replied.
“Doesn’t matter, I’ll wave off the ticket.”
“Marcus can you take your right?”
Lenny gasped in shock.
“Why are you with your driver Y/N?”
“Because,” Y/N groaned, she was a little but embarrassed to admit it out loud. How could she explain him that she didn’t know how to drive? It was embarrassing.
Soon Lenny was in her eyesight. But he wasn’t alone.
“He better keep his mouth shut.” Lenny gave the driver a side eye look, it was more like a warning look. “Marcus help me with the lady please.”
“What happened?” Y/N asked in shock as she saw the pale girl, Lenny’s clothes and hair were wet.
“It’s a long story.” Lenny admitted, trying to think of how much he should share with Y/N.

Luxe Living Kitchen + Family Room
Hello friends! At long last, I am ready to publish two playscenes from my Petz 5 makeover project. The Luxe Kitchen and Luxe Living playscenes are now available for download. Be sure to check out my blog post below for a behind-the-scenes look at my creation process.
OVERALL AESTHETIC
In making these overhauls, I was going for a luxury living aesthetic featuring gold accents, neutral beiges, and a touch of rococo. Understandably, this may not be everyone's aesthetic! I have ideas for future themes such as cottage core/witch core, dark academia, Barbie, etc. Now that I have done the ground work of making a reusable PSD template of this playscene, making future variations will be much easier because I can quickly swap out the wallpaper, flooring, rug, etc.
KITCHEN
I don't have a lot of notes on the kitchen remodel as it was a relatively straight forward recolor. The window backyard backdrop was replaced with my remodeled version. I added a tile backsplash for a touch of realism. Various components like the sink and its handles were recolored to gold to go with the luxury living theme. The ugly curtains, orange floor, wallpaper, and yellow fridge are all replaced with a more toned-down, neutral look.
I spent the most amount of time cleaning up the curtain and the window sprites as these were poorly done in the original. If you look closely, you can see several pixel defects that never got cleaned up.
BEFORE / AFTER
FAMILY ROOM
Making over the family room was quite the project as it involved editing several animation sprites. Here are my notes on the different parts of the room.
RUG
I know that the rug's perspective is not 100% correct but when I tried to adjust it to better match the perspective of the room, the results were actually worse. Somehow, the "correct" perspective ruined the "cozy, intimate" ambience of the room. It's a little hard to explain but I hope this design choice isn't too immersion-breaking for most people.
FIREPLACE
The boring old red brick was replaced with something a bit more contemporary. Where the brick texture meets the golden grate, I had to edit the edge so that there is a mortar gap. I also edited the fireplace sprites to remove some ugly pixel halos that the original assets had.
MOUSE HOLES
I replaced the default mousehole covers with golden doors to match the Luxury Living theme because I thought our little mice friends deserved an upgrade too! Tremendous thanks to Reflet from the Petz Hacking and Modding discord for helping me figure out how to do this. If you're making a non-overwrite hexed family room, then changing the mouse holes requires an extra step in a hex editor - it isn't enough to just swap out the sprites in Tinker. If you would like to learn how to do this yourself for your own playscene creations, Reflet's solution is posted in the Petz Hacking and Modding discord.
WINDOW + WEATHER EFFECTS
Oh my glob this was a whole project in itself. I swapped out the outdated backyard backdrop with my remodeled versions. But this presented a problem. Replacing the window backdrop meant that I couldn't use the animated rain and snow sprites that came with the original family room. These weather effects were pre-rendered against the old backdrop, making them incompatible with my replacement backdrop. So this meant that I had to craft my own rain and snow effects from scratch, frame by frame. *eye twitch* But if we're being honest, the original weather effects weren't that great looking anyway. The rain is so faint and barely visible and the snow animation left much to be desired.
Moreover, it always bugged me to no end that the original weather animations do not extend to the bottom of the window. Whenever the window is open, there is a noticeable gap where the rain or snow animation abruptly ends. I'm baffled on how this passed quality control testing (or if was there any).
I corrected this in my version of the weather animation by adjusting the size of the animation to extend to the bottom of the window and then fixing the X and Y positioning coordinates of all the frames in Tinker so that the animation was seated in the right spot. (I used the selection tool in photoshop to measure that the window sprite needed to be seated 858 pixels along the X axis from the left, and 56 pixels down the y axis from the top). Additionally, the original window has this odd 2-3 pixel gap at the top of the window which I fixed in my version so that the window properly extends up to the curtain rod.
Unfortunately, I had to remove the window shine from my window frame recolors. For some reason when you import the images into Tinker, Tinker recolors partial transparency to black and ruins it. If anyone discovers a solution to this problem, please do let me know!
I managed to create the rain animation by using an old video effects software called Particle Illusion. I tweaked a pre-existing rain preset and then recorded my screen using Screen-to-Gif to capture the animation, making sure that the screen capture matched the exact pixel dimensions of the window.
I extracted the exact number of frames I needed, made it transparent, and created a layer mask on the left side of the canvas to account for curtain, which clips into the window slightly.
Then I exported these frames as individual pngs and then imported them into Tinker. Thank goodness for photoshop actions and batch editing for performing repeated actions, or else I would have lost my mind.
The snow animation was much more challenging because I couldn't find a good video effect animation I liked - and even if I did, making the animation loop flawlessly would have been nearly impossible. So I hand-made my own using an old school 2D animation technique known as "parallax scrolling". Basically how it works is that I created 3 "conveyor belt" layers of snowflakes, each with a seamless repeating pattern. These three conveyor belt layers would each move independently of each other at a different pace. Conveyor belt 1 would move down slowly at a pace of 1 pixel per frame. Conveyor belt 2 would move down a little faster at a pace of 2 pixels per frame, and conveyor belt 3 would move down the fastest at a rate of 5 pixels per frame. The multiple layers of snowflakes give off the illusion of depth, making it look like some snowflakes are farther away.
In order for this animation to loop seamlessly, I had to calculate (yes, super serious complex petz math) the dimensions of these conveyor belt layers to correspond with the pace at which they would be falling. If conveyor belt 1 was falling at a rate of 1 pixel per frame, my repeating snowflake pattern needed to be about 30 pixels tall because there were 30 frames. The fastest conveyor belt, conveyor belt 3, had to be a pattern that was 150 pixels tall because it would be moving at a pace of 5 pixels per frame over the course of 30 frames so 30 x 5 = 150 pixels.
Once I made these three separate patterns I copied and pasted them downward to make the "conveyor belts" that would move down the window over the lifespan of the animation.
To animate this, I would make a new frame and then I would move layer 1 down 1 pixels, layer 2 down 2 pixels and layer 3 down 5 pixels. Then I created another frame and repeated this again and again until I hit 30 frames. If I messed up anywhere (which I did), I would have to redo the entire animation. It took some experimenting to finally get it all looking correct and looping properly.
I decided to enhance the snow animation further by addressing a longstanding issue with Petz 5's weather effects. It always bothered me that it could be snowing in the game, yet the scenery remained unchanged to reflect the seasons. To improve this, I overlaid my completed snow animation onto the winter version of my backyard backdrop. Now, whenever it snows in the window, the scenery actually shifts to a wintery backdrop. I mean that would just make sense right? It speaks to the sloppy/rushed development for Petz 5 that they didn't make it this way from the get go. If a solo amateur like myself could do it in one weekend, I don't know why a team of developers couldn't. (If I am allowed to humbly toot my own horn for a moment and say so.)

Also random aside, the first few notes of the salvation theme before the piano comes in gives me such……… indescribable feelings? That underlying dissonance fills me with like such a desperate but forlorn desire to go back to simpler, happier times before the melody becomes more hopeful 😂 (this might be a weird pull, but it gives me Giygas theme prayer for safety vibes from Earthbound 👀)

Somehow, we made it...
—Could you give us your honest impressions of what you thought when you heard the outline for the series?
It sounded like it'd be a work unlike anything I'd worked on before (because no one dies) so I was interested (and thought it would be very hard.)
—Do you have any favorite episodes, or scenes that left an impression on you?
Of course I have the strongest feelings about episode 1. We were still feeling out a lot of things then.
—Could you tell us your impressions when you first saw Director Utsumi's original character concepts, or anything important you took note of about the designs?
I was glad they were such anime-like anime characters. Only Director Utsumi knows the correct interpretations of her characters, so I tried to fulfill the order as best as I could.
—Were you ever inspired by working alongside the team at Studio No Border, who did the skateboard designs and illustrations?
I have no sense at all for that, so I'm grateful to them.
—Do you have a favorite character?
ADAM and Shadow. Also Sketchy.
—What were your impressions of the voice cast's performances?
Everyone was a perfect, A+ match for their characters, and I think they carried the visuals as well.

[Random William Afton/Dave Miller headcanons for my Five Nights At Freddy's Alternate Universe Fanmade-WebComic Series/Fanfiction Story because my brain cannot stop malfunctioning and making me paranoid and unironically afraid of the dark at night lol(Please note that the ver. of the purple peepaw man himself is based off of the ones from the games and/or books/graphic novels so please keep that in mind- thank you). Also please don't hate me if any of the headcanons I interpret for my comfort au seem to be out of character or something, I understand it can be annoying but if it bothers you just please be gentle about it since I can be somewhat fragile<//3. Oki doki, here I go I guess]:
I sometimes like to imagine that while Henry was more on the imaginative side of things when it came to the animatronics such as the character design and how they would act towards the kids in a party setting to give everyone the best of fun, since William would be more on the technical side of stuff involving blueprints on the construction of the animatronics, I feel like Will' was atleast once a decent artist. What I mean is that William could probably sketch up still-life related drawings in a cool fashion that maybe could of had a noticable signature style to it too even if that said style was more subtle since he would mostly focus on copying the stuff around him and how it looked...I can imagine that he could be very impressive in his talents when it came to sketching objects and animals, maybe even people but I feel like his favourite type of things to draw were probably scenery and nature type settings :3. His more cartoony or unrealistic art-style type doodles would be when he was distracted or bored and needed something to do atleast so he would doodle simple sketches on his paperwork and blueprints without realizing x3.
He prefers everything to be nice and clean, organized and neat but that preference and need for perfection wouldn't stop him from getting super lost in his work and ending up with huge messes of paperwork and other needed supplies that he'd use towards his projects all around his work space. Ofcourse this uncleanliness and unorganized mess would bother him, but it's not like it would matter. The stress would probably be more of a distraction anyway with such lingering Doom always clouding over him<3. He's probably a massive caffeine addict to the point where it's hyoerbolically debilitating, mostly in the form of coffee :P.
I feel like despite his calm and often scary, intimidating demeanor towards others when he needs control and some sort of power over others atleast, he can still be very envious/jealous of others esp his coworker Henry which said state drives him insane in the membrane. He knows his brain shouldn't malfunction in such a way, he knows he needs to stay calm and collected in order to get what he wants, so that all can go according to plan but at the same time...at the same time it's all so crushingly painful that he can't help but be of the verge, the edge of completly snapping into further madness just to destroy everything that gets into his path, to shatter every obstacle out of his way in order to finally get his revenge...revenge in what??I don't know yet, I might have forgotten in my brain's messy blurry loss of memory due to my own stress but just...revenge towards something that would be his own fault atleast. It doesn't make sense though to anyone that is not him. An unfathomable, burning, undying rage and hatred to life and yet he still canonically is scared of death in all it's uncertainty(Huh wait am I projecting again??Goddammit).
(Warning!!>:(:This one goes into the space that is my personal comfort alternate universe fan-story so please don't hate me if it doesn't make sense to you, I am probably gonna explain it more in better detail later QwQ): He has memory issues due to both stress and old age, but he still has enough storage in his brain's memory space to know that he was born somewhere around February though Rose(my self-insert for this cringeworthy tale of OCxCanon fanfiction plot atleast)always bugs him to celebrate it on Valentines Day since she likes the idea of him being born on that day and gifting him the anime drawings she attempts to make in her spare time.
By the way, that reminds me, in my Fnaf alternate universe comfort story, William, Henry and Rose are roommates in a vintage-inspired older built house that's not in Utah(Don't ask why yet, I'm still planning stuff out!!>:]). They mostly were able to get the house through the nightguards(again, they're apart of the story too but I'm gonna explain it later when I get a better chance to in the future), who live near the town they're apart of. Something something about wanting a brand new start and thinking that maybe going somewhere away from all the disasterousnes would be better for all of them, something it was mostly Henry and Rose's idea...yes.

Hey, nothing too big this time as I've had a rough week and I'm currently dogsitting a dog that ain't mine so my brain power is more or less incoherent and shot, just passing on by to wish you a Merry Christmas (or whatever you celebrate) and to thank you for all your work in the fandom!
First of all, I've only know of Mess Au existing for like an hour and a half but I already adore the life out of it, Rip Player and their sanity due to the Evil Chain running around but I am thriving on their content with the Ganons. And, there's a discord? *Confused guitar sounds from a Musician*
Also I'd die for Pastuzo, just saying, if dangerous wild animal then why friend and hug shaped? I've only know him for a day and a half but if anything happened to him I'd murder everyone in the Yigah Clan and then myself, Player is lucky if it was me there with Nat I'd immediately pat, bless that guy (also Rip Nature and his food, I hope he knows that my version of Fia/Seraph is cackling at his misery, just straight up rolling on the floor), and the entire section with Eve? Perfection, outstanding, showstopping, honestly given I'm a reader myself I'd probably chill with him, and I hope Player gets to introduce books from their world to him because something tells me he'd love a wider selection, I am thriving so much with this thank you for the food of Ganon-Player Found Family. *Bows* Also, I kind of want the Ganons to meet Og Chain now, it would be funny.
Also, Player's Aid Au where everything is the same but the reason why Legend dislikes Players is that the only time he remembers with his Guide is in Koholint so that's why he's so Claude Frollo when it comes to them, the trauma is making him suspicious. Or alternatively, where Player is actually a Witch but like A Wadanohara Sea Witch rather than the standard type, like instead of a broom they have a staff with an anchor at the end they use to fight and fly (as well as several other anchors and fish hooks on their design), an Ocarina for healing spells, some control over water and basically does what the Links do but with a twist: protects the ocean and people's dreams, no one in the Chain would ever have a nightmare while they're around, bonus points if we give them a seagull familiar that can turn human, or that it's just straight up Marin, or if because Mipha is a Zora and Zora are sea creatures if they make her a familiar she can also join the Chain or heck even Nayru idk haven't thought that far ahead.

Sea Witch Player, feeding seagulls with Aryll: ... Yes? I did go to witch school in the witch world, and? Do you want to see my certificate and PhD in witchcraft or something?
One thing for sure is that if Sea Witch ever saw the Wind Fish fhey just straight up roll up their sleeves, go "Hold my staff and anchor earrings Rulie/Wild/Wind/Nat/Grandpa Tides" and just try to fistfight it, no magic involved, that or they'd be yelling expletives at it with at least one Chain or Passel/Singular (a group of hogs/boars) member holding them back from fighting it, bonus points if they do the same for Dark Link if they went through the same trauma Wada did or have moon trauma like Time too.
... Now I'm thinking about how the Chain or Ganons would react to Indie games, hm... Eh, maybe in another ask, Tides and Time would mentally adopt Niko from One Shot, or any child protagonists so fast I can literally see it, Time would literally feel smacked by Hello Charlotte and Undertale, and Legend would have a love-hate thing for both Omori, Yume Nikki and Dreamfarer and Hyrule would get so much trauma from Mad Father, gotta think of any other ones for another ask.

Hey there! Hope you are doing well! I could finally finish reading the last chapter although I managed to spoil myself a bit thanks to reading your post. I am so happy with the ending actually. The parallels between Lillie-Akidad and Akiho-Yuna travelling the world together and Lillie's friendship with Nadeshiko and Akiho's friendship with Sakura (definitely, they are going to meet again at some point) completely floored me. Also, I am so happy with Akiho's decision to travel. This is not the "Oh no, we have to flee and constantly keep moving to avoid the Clan & Association" scenario that I had feared, rather this is Akiho at her best - resilient, determined and forward looking. I love it. You go girl. Also, did we ever get to know what price Yukito paid for his magic? Or did I just miss it somewhere? The decision that I definitely was not happy with Clear Cards disappearing. I was like "NOOO! BOOO!" (And only Flight surviving, I mean, what was that even, Flight is cute and all, but so are the others, especially the Repair Tomoyo card). I hope they change this in the anime adaptation and give us a whole anime original season of Sakura trying to rebalance her magic and the cards deck, and maybe then coming across the new Clear style designs of Sakura cards. I mean, she can actually merge cards consciously now, so why not? Bring Meiling back to Tomoeda plus Eriol too (you know, who can actually train Sakura) and give us a Fujitaka plot line as he is deciphering the magic books (I love this inclusion) and involve Syaoran as his actually magic knowlegeable assistant or something and give them bonding time. Bam, you have a whole new season. Plus Akiho can keep making cameos like Meiling does now. Also, did you notice the really Clow like talk that Fujitaka did with Sakura? I seriously hope that they finally include the Fujitaka as the other half of Clow's reincarnation thing in the new season, so that they can include this scene. Also, I hope Syaoran checked up on Yelan and they finally had a talk about that spell she did on him. Also, Time magician Syaoran hype. The PTSD from TRC and xxxHolic gives me chills but I am hyped for this. Also, you talked about a special chapter? Can we have some more details about that? I am so sorry for the exuberance but I genuinely felt happy with this chapter when I was expecting to be disappointed.

I know, the parallel between Lilie and Akidad / Akiho and Kaito is absolutely endearing and I actually HOPE for a specific thing, in this mysterious special chapter we're waiting for, in March!

I am also so happy to see that Akiho's friendship with Sakura continues, stronger than ever, I can really feel the "sisterly vibe" intact and I'm honestly relieved about that. Not only that but I think what gave me the most joy was to see all four of them together in the last pages, Akiho with Sakura and Kaito with Syaoran.
It's like they're telling us that these two couples will have a deep bond in the future and will keep supporting eachother, despite being so different (SyaoSaku's background is surely different than that of YunaAki).
Yes, for how much I would've preferred they stayed in Tomoeda, seeing Akiho like that gave me the final push to convince me that travelling was also an acceptable option.
Eeehh I've heard lots of people complaining about the Clear Cards disappearing, but they were always meant to 🥹it was very, very apparent. From the way they depicted them, from the way they lacked any kind of love or interaction with Sakura (save for Flight), from the way they were produced basically by mistake, the extreme ease to capture them....it was like CLAMP was screaming in each page "don't get attached to them because they'll be gone by the end of the series!"
The Clear Cards' role, beside being used in the activation of the forbidden spell, was basically just to give to Sakura an "outlet" to vent her uncontrolled power in a safe way. Along the way, their purpose was reallocated as giving hints to Sakura in Clockland, in order to wake her up.
I know that it's hard to accept particularly for those who depicted Sakura's loved ones...but again, their cold stare was something I've always felt quite off, for a Sakura deck.
The anime certainly will show us so many things we want to see, but I wonder how the plot will further change and where....
Meiling is confirmed to come back in the anime sequel, but we don't know anything else!
About Fujitaka's scene in the anime, I'm afraid that making him Clow's half reincarnation won't happen, because that was a conscious, well-thought choice in the 90s...the directors together with Ohkawa agreed that it would be too complex for the audience, and removed it altogether.
Hahaha, time magician Syaoran!! I confess that the very first reaction to Kaito teaching him that was "THE HELL YOU'RE GONNA DO THAT", for the same Tsubasa PTSD but also the entire thing that happened to Kaito in this arc! 😂I was only relived when he hurried to add "I'm sure you won't make a wrong use of it" 😂
Unfortunately we don't know *anything* about the special chapter that's going to be released in march, not even how many pages it'll be..... but we can only cross our fingers for a generous amount of pages!!

thank u so much anon! 🥺 I feel like I've said this in like every ask but it really does surprise and delight me how many people vibe with my longform takes on the series when the extent of my fandom engagement for the last few years has been talking about fate grand order in a group chat comprised of like 5 other gay people LMAO
That said, Tokyo Blade is... an arc I have mixed feelings on! It was, in fact, the arc I originally dropped the manga on back when I was first following it in 2020/2021 feeling it was poorly paced and that I wasn't able to get invested in the cast to the degree it wanted me to me. But upon revisiting the series and this arc in particular with fresh eyes, I think I was being pretty unfair to it - though I do stand by my feeling of the pacing being not the best at least when reading it week to week. It's one of those arcs that definitely works better when you can take it all in at once as opposed to having it doled out over what felt like an agonizingly slow 30+ weeks.
As for my current feelings... in isolation I think it's extremely strong and has some incredible moments that I am PUMPED for seeing animated in season 2 but the further we get away from it and see its long term effects on the cast (or I should say, the lack thereof) the more I feel like it ultimately adds up to less than the sum of its parts.
Not that it's a bad arc, mind! Like I said, it has some insanely strong individual moments and I think the character arcs it ends up serving are super interesting. Its commentary is compelling and I literally can't gush enough about the massive glowup Melt gets in this arc. Every time I have new friends get into the series and understandably react with derision towards him in Sweet Today I just sit there crying tears of blood like that's my fucking baby son you don't understand
I also just really appreciate that the arc is willing to slow down and just let us breathe in some of the emotional baggage the characters are all dealing with without needing to shackle it to Aqua's revenge quest. Even the side characters like the mangakas and the production staff feel like they have real, human lives beyond the ways they factor into the plot and again, it feels like there are real weight and stakes to ensuring the play's success beyond just whether or not it will help Aqua do a thing. So many people's careers (and by extension, their lives) are hanging in the balance and you feel the weight of that responsibility absolutely crushing everyone involved. It's great!
This is potentially a sillier point to add but can I also say that I really like how authentic Tokyo Blade feels as an in-universe piece of fiction LOL. Everything from the premise to the designs rings so fucking true to the exact sort of manga it's a pastiche of that I'm half expecting to hear about the Studio Bones Tokyo Blade anime adaptation announcement any day now because it feels so real to me.
On the less positive side, though... like I said, this arc is s l o w. I believe it's still Oshi no Ko's longest arc at three volumes's worth of chapters and change and it's such a change to the story's until-then relatively breezy pace that it can be really jarring when you go in not expecting it. Again, having the arc available in full to read as quick or slow as you like does a lot to alleviate this problem but if you aren't connecting with it, you're stuck with it for an incredibly long time. This also means that B-Komachi in general and Ruby in specific get completely side-lined for almost thirty entire chapters - Ruby basically vanishes during this entire arc and if you were invested in and excited about her as a character, it sucks to see her get so immediately and completely sidelined after what felt like a big triumphant step forward for her, which is a pattern that will unfortunately continue through the rest of the series.
And speaking of unfortunate patterns... Tokyo Blade is the arc where Akane starts taking steps towards becoming the version of herself I like the least lmao. I've said to friends elsewhere that short hair/LoveNow!Akane and long hair/post Tokyo Blade!Akane basically feel like completely different characters to me and while I really love and am invested in LoveNow!Akane, PTB!Akane is easily my least favourite member of the main cast for reasons that are not entirely her fault.
She doesn't quite achieve her final form in Tokyo Blade arc but the seeds of my worst future annoyances with her (lack of meaningful connection to the extended cast, largely just orbiting Aqua, the overly convenient nature of her deductions, etc) start to take root here. There are some teases of interesting ideas and I particularly enjoy the build up, development and reveal of the true nature of her rivalry with and animosity for Kana but I don't feel like these bear any long term fruit.
That's probably my biggest problem with Tokyo Blade - it feels like an arc that should massively advance the story and the arcs of all the characters associated with it. In some ways it does and we get some tasty crumbs about the central mystery but when you take a step back and really look, the broad strokes status quo of the plot and the character relationships really don't get much of a shakeup and even the things that do feel like they should lead to big changes (Akane figuring out Ai's secret, Aqua finding his half-brother, Kana getting her shine back and Akane's reaction) just kind of... don't? Or at least not in ways that are as impactful as they feel they should be.
Kana and Akane's rivalry is probably the worst example of this. It's built up across the whole arc to the point of their on-stage confrontation basically being the arc's climactic high point. Kana finally stepping into the spotlight again and outshining Akane so beautifully really feels like it should have served as a gigantic change to their dynamic but not only have they barely interacted in any meaningful capacity since it happened, but the times they have it's just been the same old shit of hostility and sniping at each other with the tiny flavour difference of "oh gosh, akane is just such a tsundere tee hee <3". It just doesn't feel like the meaningful, impactful change it should have been based on how hard the end of that arc made me FEEL it.
I've said elsewhere before that a lot of the characters feel sort of like they've been stuck in holding patterns since Tokyo Blade and I'm hoping that in the Movie arc, with the cast being crunched together into a single, extremely emotionally taxing and relevant project, it might shake a bit of life back into the proceedings, especially given that Aka has said that he thinks the manga's ending is probably within sight - though that could be anything from fifty to a hundred more chapters depending on what he's got planned so who knows how things might shake out.
I do ultimately feel more positively about the arc than negative, though! I feel like I rambled a lot more about the things I dislike here than the things I enjoyed but that's because I feel like the arc's strengths speak for themselves while the stuff I don't like as much needed a bit more explaining. At the end of the day, I think Tokyo Blade is a really solid arc that I'm beyond excited to see animated - it has one of my favourite scenes in the whole manga (given that I am an Ai enjoyer you can uh, probably guess which one it is) and I'm really hopeful that we might get a sneaky peek at a certain someone if season 2 ends at the point I suspect it might...

i love your black friday comparison, that puts it in perspective so much!! ;;O;; it's a double-edged sword tbh, it's usually a lot of fun and encouraging/motivating to be involved in communities during high activity but also more overwhelming. i wish i'd learned to speak up for myself earlier so i could have enjoyed the higher level of interaction without the discomfort, but it was only from going through that for so long that i figured it out. it was honestly really important for me to learn that from this whole experience.
(to be fair, i don't think anyone has meant to harass me. i know a lot of people and/or artists take and/or mean "hot"/"sexy" as a compliment. im just personally sensitive about that and/or uncomfortable with those words; to me it feels a bit like being catcalled. i do think the internet normalizes it WAY too much to say these types of things to random strangers, without knowing if the person is okay with it or not--because yes, it'd often be considered harassment irl, and the internet seems to make a lot of people forget this. but i also know most people aren't intending to bother me and aren't aware of how i feel unless i say it, so it's good for everyone that ive learned to state my boundaries.)

(i personally like to imagine that akoya has aged along with me and is an adult now) it makes me uncomfortable bc 1) i didn't ask for or consent to it; 2) a lot of the comments are phrased in a way that focuses only on what the person saying it wants, as if the other is an object or tool for their enjoyment. i don't like hearing this bc it makes me feel like not being treated as a person.
sexualization in media is a complicated topic, and one that i try to avoid bc it's too easy for me to get uncomfortable and/or into an argument that i don't want to have. i was definitely affected growing up by sexualization/objectification in media and the objectifying comments that are made in reaction to it, and i still struggle today with feeling like a person in my own body because of it. yet i can't be too critical of the content bc i also draw "idealized" characters and fall for these characters bc they're designed to be so cute/pretty.
im uncomfortable with a lot of things about this show, and yet if it hadn't been exactly the way that it is, i don't think i would have been able to express personal/intimate thoughts and feelings and find connection over them. i was a (young) adult when i found the show, yet in a way it allowed me to make sense of growing up and/or almost have a high school experience that i didn't get to have (due to bullying and isolation irl). at the end of the day, all i can do is ask that people be respectful of my wishes when they interact directly with me. ive been grateful to find that most people are glad to do this. consent and boundaries are how it should be.
(i also love that akoya is allowed to just LIKE pretty things without being put down or made fun of for it T.T the way that aNYTHING considered "feminine" is often considered "shallow" or "silly" or boys aren't "allowed" to like it is so. limiting. and made me feel bad for a lot of things when i was younger)

i just finished spiritfarer, actually properly finished. its impossible for me to talk about this game purely subjective bc its so. close to me. and my lived experience. putting this big long thing under a keep reading, warnings for discussion of death and whatnot as thats the prominent theme of the game, and spoilers for the game probably
please excuse the messy, rambly writing, im very tired and very very emotional about this sad boat game and just need to get my thoughts about it down before i go crazy
impossible to not cry at the end. i bought this game around 2019 on my switch, fresh after two or three big familial deaths. picked it up here and there but could never get myself to the end, either being to busy or it being too much for me. i finally found some time now, after owning it on PC for a year or two, to sit down and let myself experience it.
this game treats the passing of loved ones with such respect and care and the grief that follows so beautifully. even the characters i didnt much care for i felt heavily about when it was their turn through the everdoor. it blends this grief with gameplay mechanics so well, and doesnt ever let you forget those close to you. almost every character either has a resource you can collect because of them, their spirit still there when you need more of it, or theyre the ones who had you build the crafting station to make materials and youre reminded of them when you step in the door. i found myself making sure i had everyones favorite foods stocked in my inventory well past their exit. and to really hammer it in, everyone gets their profile marked in the stars when theyre gone.
stella's job is to take care of people, but shes always felt like a vessel-type character to me, as ive had my dealings with the loss of loved ones and those around me and found it incredibly easy to wear her shoes.
moments that really stood out to me were atul not letting you take him through, you just find his flower on its own. so heavily touched me, a man whos only ever cared for you not letting you see his struggles because he knew thats all youd devote yourself too. stanley, letting the weird kid take it the only way a kid could, curious but scared but you were holding his hand. i cant even begin to talk about daria, shes new to me and i can only hope no one can relate to her story but feel for her just the same. gwen, god i could go on about gwen. all the characters feel so lively, so real, all dealing with whats ending them as best they can.
the one that got me the most, though, was astrid. my grandmother on my moms side passed in 2019, so already getting me with a grandmother character but astrids story and motivations remind me so much of her and one of her lines at the everdoor, "dont forget me or i'll haunt you" sounds exactly like somehting my grandmother would say. tears pouring out of my eyes only beat by the end of the game as a whole. such a beautiful story
and beautiful game, too. breaking from the sad stuff for a bit to say the art and music are so beautfully crafted and touching, every character design and choice of animal so perfectly selected. look at darias profile how can you not fall in love immediately. look at her :3
just. please play this game if you have any sort of feelings about grief and loss. its touched my heart several times in the years since 2016 after lots of familial death and covid. its a bunch of different games at once, largely a resource management and crafting game but the story is so well written and the visuals are beautiful and im soon to buy the soundtrack because i always need it with me
this game means so much to me and will forever be on my mind, one million thank yous and tears to thunder lotus games and everyone involved.

Character Opinion Bingo: Prince Haaaaaaans
They are so cool looking - one of my favourite character designs across all of Disney. That floofy red hair is delightful, and he looks so disarming but he isn't particularly "coded" as anything the way Disney characters usually are. It works so well with the ways his character changes over the course of the movie.
Everyone but me is wrong about them <3 - Um yeah sorry but he and Anna are meant to be and he is Anna's villain, not Elsa's.
Wasted potential - F1 would have been so much more interesting and ground breaking if Anna had ended up with Hans at the end. If her choices were prioritised over that of Kristoff, the trolls, Olaf, and everyone else who made her feel like her own dreams were foolish. Anna didn't need to learn anything in that movie but everyone else around her did, and with the twist ending they sacrificed not only Hans's potential but Anna's as well.
They're like a blorbo to me - I got into Hornblower and the whole Age of Sail fandom because I was researching sailing through hurricanes for a fic about Admiral Hans. This bastard is a life changer.
They're deeper than they seem - all the spin off Frozen material that goes into Hans's past shows that his home life is shitty, which is a throw away line in the movie but begs for closer inspection. The fact that the movie made such a big deal about frozen hearts and not understanding love and yet ultimately cast Hans as the villain undermines the whole message. Hans is the person who needed that true love's kiss to thaw his frozen heart.
They got done DIRTY by the fans - and also by Disney merchandise, who refuse to include him anywhere. He's such a good character and had one of the most memorable twists in animated movie history and yet he's all but forgotten by most people. Ridiculous.
Didn't get enough screen time - I would have hated to see him involved in F2, thank god that awful writing never touched him, but F2 set up so much potential for more Hans and it kills me that we'll never get it. He lingered over that movie like a delicious scent. Literally its best feature was that Hans was so present despite getting only a split second of screen time (if you count an ice statue as screen time).
They work better as part of a dynamic - I like Hansanna, what can I say? The sunshine and moon dynamic theu have going on is great, because while Anna is clearly the sunshine and Hans clearly the moon, they both have huge potential to swap roles as well and learn more about themselves and each other in the process. I also would like to see more of his relationship with Sitron, and also with Kai & Gerda.
They've never done anything wrong in their life <33 - His plan to kill Anna was stupid and didn't make any sense, and so I disregard it, but killing Elsa actually was a logical choice considering the circumstances and how much Hans didn't know. He was more supportive of Anna when she decided to run after Elsa than Kristoff was, and I think that instant trust that she could make her own choices was fantastic. Also handing the blankets out to the citizens of Arendelle was so good that Kristoff copied it basically word for word, which just goes to show how much of a hero Hans is.

*slams fist on table* Corporate hcs part 3!!
When they work together on the same project, the quality of the final result either skyrocket or they just straight up cancel each other intellect and end up verbally sparring for an hour ; its basically like trying to make two opposite magnet touch each other : you can, but its a hassle for everyone involved.
As time passes, and as they end up knowing each other more and more they learn to work together for any project that really need it but they also very much need their space and the best way for them to work efficiently is to annotate the project with commentaries and other post-it, otherwise they get snappy at each other.
Something that Mandark also learns as he stumbles along his relationship with Dexter is to let go and that he can not controls everyone around him. Sometimes you gotta agree to disagree (either its about robot design or string theory) and have to let go. The last one is especially true since Dexter works part-time for the hero agency and Mandark sometimes see him go on missions of various dangerosity and he eventually loses an arm during a battle. Mandark doesn't get it and even get angry, at dexter, at all the other heroes, at everyone else, because he doesn't understand why would Dexter sacrifice so much for people that he considers beneath them intellectually wise and who at the end of the day don't even really recognise Dexter. But he learns. (-that this is out of some misplaced heroism, altruism and also a bit of adrenaline rush)
Additionally, they both work out how to show their affection to each other. Dexter is not really good at public display of affection however Mandark is pretty big on verbal and physical affection and love to offers big gifts ; after all, he often boasts about his possessions/accomplishment/whatever helps him sleep at night and his boyfriend is not immune to the same treatment (hey, he is dating the second smartest man alive, life is great). As they're not the most emotionally intelligent people, it takes time to understand each other boundaries.
This end up with a lot of late night movie or just reading in each other's company accompanied by light banter. Also a few restaurant dates.
Dexter's guilty pleasure are dumb serie Z movies.
To Mandark's chagrin, he can't help himself but sometimes use the same lingo as his parents.
Dexter is a tad shorter than Mandark but thanks to the extra 5 centimeters his boots provide he can be taller than him. Mandark is that close to make a growth serum just out of pettiness.
Mandark owns a couple of mandarin birds and enjoys feathery orbs in general. He is even considering making himself a little dinosaur pet. Dexter doesn't care much for animals but at least he doesn't experiment on them anymore.
Mandark tried to turn hismelf into a vampire as a teen, cue very pointy teeth.
Dexter's work into the hero agency consist on insuring the security of the various headquarters as well as providing support on field mission. He also build various mechs for exploration or battles.
Once he ended up as a hostage to some hectic villains. These guys do not know how close they were to be swarmed by Mandark's robots, double agent role be damned.
As years pass by, Dexter grows less interested in weapons and focus more on household items and other city contraception. He racks up a few prizes during his lifetime.
Time travel is one of his big pet project. In fact, he does construct a working time travel machine and end up as a time criminal along the way.
As for Mandark, well sometimes love is pretending that your boyfriend is not up to some super villain shenanigans when you're busy fixing the super computer of your house.
