Dc x dp idea 53

Jazz leaves amity for college. She did all the application and stuff via tuckers computer. For some reason nothing was going through on hers.

Due to majority of her extracurricular activists not being sent thought she didn’t get accepted to her top choices. Ended up going to Gotham u.

Things don’t add up. Leaving was a big deal. Like she ended up just going in the middle of night. The roads were closed for “construction”. They were absolutely fine when she ignored the signs and drove.

It took her less then a 6 hours to figure out amity couldn’t be contacted. She tried calling Danny upon getting to Gotham. Nothing. Research, nothing. It’s like the town didn’t exist.

She does have a communicator from tucker. One of the multi dimensional ones. She gets ahold of them just to hear the chaos. There is a hunt for her. Lockdowns. The whole town is shutdown.

She didn’t inform her parents where she was going. They only insisted she goes to the university in town and nowhere else. That could be the issue. She is 18 but they are extra special.

Obviously she’s gonna head back. What else’s is she supposed to do. She had to go get her brother and his friends. Do something. Authorities in amity never cared why would any outside force care. To bad her car suddenly doesn’t work.

Leads to her walking at night. Her goal is to find a rental car place or bus that maybe would be open late.

She doesn’t find a car or anything. But does punch a would be mugger. That punch back home would have not knocked a person back 5 feet into a wall. Were people here just that weak.

This leads to some guy in cosplay called Batman. Which come on that name is just as bad as box ghost. Telling her it’s not safe in Gotham for metas.

Jazz just lectures him on how that not his decision. She is going to be attending college here after she figures out why her home town completely shut down. All when she left for college. Besides she’s not whatever a meta is.

Long story short. Batman now has to deal with two not-metas in Gotham. Plus a whole town that didn’t exist. Multiple arrest. Then a possibility of pissing off the afterlife.

Actually, it's not just that Yuji didn't speak during 257 to Sukuna. Ever since their encounter in chapter 244 (238 where we see them meet up again though) and this fight started, Yuji doesn't say anything back to Sukuna at all.

Only once, he spoke to him. Once. I can only think of one time Yuji directly says anything to Sukuna and that's when Yuta also answer to Sukuna. (Yuta, why would you...? Get out... adore you, but get out for that one.)

Other than that, Yuji ain't say shit to Sukuna even when Sukuna keeps taunting him.

I want to talk about Sass and Simon real quick because there's something that I've been thinking about a bit. I don't know if anyone cares to read this, but I'm rambling below the cut here:

Sass and Simon are complex individuals. They both have trauma. They are the farthest thing from perfect.

Simon has been through hell. The man was buried alive for fucks sake. He found his entire family murdered, because of him. He was abused as a child. Sass has serious trauma. I've never gone into her backstory fully and I don't know if I will, but I think from what has been mentioned so far, you get the gist.

Sass knows what Simon did to her was horrible.

She also knows Simon. She knows his trauma, shares pieces of it with him from their shared experiences, knows how he operates, understands his fear. She knows deep down, that he's afraid. That he was afraid and that he probably still is.

Sure, is it deeply upsetting to her that her person did a terrible thing to her, broke her trust and essentially got her removed from her job? Yes. Does she try to push it away and bury it because it bothers her still? Yes. Does she sometimes get lost in how angry and betrayed she feels about it? Yes. So much so that she slips away from him and comes back ready to gut him like a fish because the pain is so poignant. Has she healed from what he did? No. And you'll see that in the future.

But like, that's Simon's person. Sass is the person his eyes find in the room. She's the person that he loves for the first time since he lost everything, she's the person who see's who he truly is, she's the person he can't stop thinking about, she's the one who knows him, mask or no mask. Ghost or Simon, pick your poison.

And I think Simon is Sass's person too. I don't want to go too much into it because there's a lot of story left for them.

I really wanted First Sight to provide some clarity in reference to Simon and those decisions he made regarding the way he treated Sass and what he did to her. I wanted to humanize those decisions a little bit, without excusing him. I'm not sure if I missed the mark or not.

Also, Sassy is not over. There's an entire outline of like, 50k+ words worth of writing. We're halfway through. There's character development to come.
