I'm having fun with these types of blogs.
Tell me a team composition that you love, but would have meta players raving, flaming, and crucifying you for.
For this blog, I define "meta" as the "most effective tactic available." In Genshin's case, ways to clear Abyss with 36 stars the fastest way possible and teams that cause the most damage. These teams are often repetitive across accounts, such as Raiden National (Raiden, Xingqiu, Bennet, and Xiangling) or Morgana (Ganyu, Mona, Diona, and Venti).
Much like my previous blog, I will not reply back to any comments. My purpose for this blog is to learn how others have fun with their Genshin teams.
This is a free/"safe" space to rant, but remain courteous and respectful in the comments section to others and me. Please. I will not tolerate anyone who wants to have an argument, be a snarky bitch, or give unsolicited "advice." I will block those involved.
Example, ofc, offered below the cut:
Old photo, Shinobu is now lvl 90. Anyway, my Kavetham team is the one I get the most backlash for. While it does have meta qualities, Xingqiu + Kuki + Dendro = Hyperbloom, the metaslaves cry so hard that I put the Kaveh and Alhaitham together.
"Kaveh and Alhaitham don't work together."
"They have no "synergy.""
"That's not enough dendro application."
"They're like lathering mayonnaise onto a CPU."
No. They're not "mayonnaise" and a "CPU" or water and oil. They are two Dendro units that provide dendro resonance, can be major powerhouses alone, but even more dangerous together.
I made it work.
Kaveh made it to Abyss floor 11, chamber 3. If they were all fully built, they would be MENACES. The best built is Kaveh at C2R5, Talents 6/7/9, artifacts lvl 20. Everyone else is still a WIP, low talent levels, artifacts lvl 0-5, and weapons lvl 20-80.
My rotation:
¹ Alhaitham's skill and burst (or just skill, if his burst isn't up)
² Xingqiu's skill or burst for hydro application
³ Kaveh's burst and skill to detonate the cores and apply more dendro
⚡️ Shinobu is there to be the responsible one(/hj, the healer) that makes sure the boys don't get killed and she applies quickening and hyperbloom. Kaveh is more or less self-sufficient with his passive and can keep himself alive.
Although Kaveh is my dendro main, I switch between Kaveh and Alhaitham as I see fit. To make it less meta, Xingqiu and Shinobu can actually be replaced with double hydro (ex. Mona and Barbara) or Hydro+Zhongli, because gods forbid Alhaitham takes damage from his own cores.
It works if you rotate it right, but no one wants to put in the extra work to figure it out. The meta creates a close-minded set of builds, and it's filled with people who just want those giant crit numbers. I don't deny the meta characters, teams, and builds do great damage, but the metaslaves so often claim their unwarranted "advice" is just "worry for the team's functionality," like "I asked if my Kaveh build was good, not if Kaveh and Alhaitham had "synergy."
Me with my team building & scheming shenanigans:
On a silly little note, I have decided to build DPS Noelle and QiQi, both characters that have been tossed aside by the meta. I'm so excited to build them.
I've asked this on Hoyolab a few times in BottleMi but the response was tepid. Only 3 brave souls decided to share their thoughts. I saw two teams of full DPS units and a Yoimiya main who said "any Yoimiya team" (they didn't elaborate further).

Here's my team that's absolutely wrecking stuff in Gap of Chaos. I haven't really looked into team builds so I kinda made this up, so not sure if folks are looking for builds to breeze through but here ya go!
It's 2 bomb dps and 1 reflect tank. Sometimes I swap out a dps for a tank when I'm finding the demon gargoyle dude, since he dunks on health so hard.
This has gotten me to floor 300 for sealed darknix, and I love him!

A DPS Candace team comp I am thinking of trying out once 3.2 drops! I normally don’t run freeze comps ever, but considering how much I wanted Candace and Layla I’ll be damned if I don’t use them on the same team. Don’t mind Ayaka being there, she is just the stand-in for Layla holding all of her things.
Candace; main dps
Kaeya; sub dps/cryo applicator
Layla; cryo shielder
Xingqiu; hydro applicator
I really liked Candace’s synergy with Kaeya in the trial so I thought he’d be a great addition to the team. Xingqiu is a character I’ve been meaning
I feel like overall this would also be a great team f2p wise. So while Nahida is busy being the dps of another party, Candace will be the one domineering this double hydro double cryo party.
(Now to actually level my Xingqiu up once I’m done leveling up Candace but at least they already have their artifacts and weapons).

makeshift hydro traveler before fontaine comes out sdhfksj.
my current plan to burn time between patches besides comimis and stuff is to play around with team comps and stuff, and my current line is using characters i don't usually put in teams. i've already kinda done this with a kaeya freeze team + chongyun cause i literally never use them.
my og plan for aether was a physical build so i can make use of mika and yunjin (her esp cause i have her at c6 and i feels like a waste not to use her) but they are sooo underbuilt right now that i don't really wanna waste resources farming for a build/comp that might not even work jsdgfslms. i have candace at 70 though (also c6) so i figured i may as well play around with a pre-fontaine hydro traveler lol
i haven't really figured out the last two slots; koko and layla are there just cause they're my best healer and shielder rn

Eversoul series part #2 team composition
Soul types yo can 3 of one sort and 2 other types. Before today i haven't really paif attention to it.
I was just cliking on auto placement and don't bother to put my brain in fonction here.
Then i come accross a section i lost evetough i have a couple of power much highter. So i tried to manually choose my goon for every battle.
We can choose how to place the characters. With the change formation you can choose how to place them according too yhe ennemies.
So my team is composed of 2 beast, 2 undead and 1 humanlike. I would have like yo have a third undead, but i don't have enough slot in the level sync for now.

Building Dendro: My Dendro Traveler Build + Team Comps
Disclaimer: This isn’t me telling anyone how to build their Traveler or how their multipliers are gonna work and blah blah blah. I suck at math and I don’t like telling people what to do. I just like Dendro, its characters, and wanna share my build ideas. None of this is based on meta, just what I wanna do with the character.
The Traveler himself, our boi Aether. I know the Traveler tends to get benched most of the time but because I wanna be able to use him freely whenever a new element is unlocked for him, I keep my Traveler built at all times.
I find it to be a waste otherwise, since the Traveler canonically is able to wield all the elements because they’re an interdimensional traveler not tied to the laws of Teyvat. So to keep him usuable across all the elements he’ll be able to wield, I’ve got him maxed out so it’s just a matter of switching artifacts whenever a new nation drops and Aether is able to use another element. Plus... he’s pretty to look at lmao so as y’all can see I have priorities.
Artifacts
My Aether is rocking the 2pc Deepwood 2pc Gilded build for the Dendro DMG and EM bonuses respectively and I focused on making him more of a support and focusing on a physical build. I prefer to keep him that way since I want him to be generally able to easily swap between elements whenever I need to.
And since Dendro as a whole specializes in Elemental Mastery (Sprawling Greenery) and my boy is a support, he boosts the EM of my overall party when I have him out and about.
Constellations
My boy is at C6 like the prophecy foretold. When it comes to most 5* characters, I might only go for 1 or two cons but the Traveler I C6 in every element just because it’s so easy to do.
You also get them for free so there’s no point in wasting them.
Weapon
To go along with my physical build for Aether, I gave him the Prototype Rancour for the physical damage bonus. This is the weapon I use for him regardless of his element and since putting it on my Traveler, I’ve never taken it off.
Aesthetically, this weapon looks pretty good on both Travelers too so that’s a nice bonus.
Team Comps
collei (main dps)
amber (babygirl)
dendro traveler (dendro application support for collei)
yae miko (quicken trigger)
This is my go-to party whenever I’m using Aether, mainly for the Dendro Resonance that he provides by being in the party. When I’m unable to use Collei’s skill or burst, Aether keeps up the Dendro application with his skill and (most of all) his burst to continue making Spread reactions with Miko’s Electro application.
