Finished a pocket sketchbook today that I was using for hand and line confidence practice.

hmmmmmm i have mixed feelings about the coloring on this one. i wasn’t sure how to combine the cheery bright pink-ness of the cafe with the darkness of bowser’s castle. but the more i worked on it the more ok i felt about it i guess? the black text boxes helped with the overall mood i think. figuring out this comic stuff one baby step at a time 😌
still gonna try my best to work on this as quickly as i can. coloring these pages is actually a nice stress-relief for me once i come home from work haha

Basically Ritz is a merman
Not sure if I'll finish this
Not sure how I feel about it, but I like to think he'd be a little bitey for a "magestic merman".
He's a fish, and can breathe under water, he can't talk under it tho. Sometimes he opens his mouth under water and breathes it in, thinks it feels weird, then cries out that he's drowning.
