head in the game.

SYNOPSIS. basketball. the game is enough to make anyone stay. clean shots, rubber shoes against the court, adrenaline pumping through everyone's veins. but what seemed to spark y/n's attention the most, was not the sport itself, but rather, those who played it. MEMBERS. jacob, hyunjae, juyeon, haknyeon, eric (fem!reader) AUTHOR’S NOTE. heeeeeeeey here’s a tbz college sports au series bcs i’m obsessed with college sports aus. this was originally supposed to be soccer so i could make one for all 11 members but i’m just absolutely too dumb to make 11 consecutive plots for that and all my soccer knowledge went down the drain so these 5 and basketball will have to do. this was also such a spur of the moment thing but i need something to get my mind off of the craziness of life and so i decided on tbz <3 IMPORTANT. all the following stories have nothing to do with each other apart from having similar settings and the like. ultimately, you guys get to decide who you end up with by the end after reading each one!

p.s. might throw in a few references here and there to the other fics in the series but again, ultimately, all 5 fics have nothing to do with each other and don’t clash in any way shape or form.

achilles heel | jacob x not a nurse nurse!reader

SYNOPSIS. as a member assigned to the mobile clinic during the university's sports games, getting players in there isn't really a good thing to see. sure, y/n had her fair share of twisted ankles and cut faces but they were never seen in there again. that is until a certain #30 starts consistently showing up at the clinic in between every basketball game.

SYNOPSIS. y/n thought getting her younger sister a basketball for her birthday would finally shut her up about wanting to learn the sport. and it did, until her parents decided to suggest the brilliant idea of befriending the quote “nice young man next door” to teach her younger sister. lo and behold, this “nice young man next door” just so happens to be #09 on their university's basketball team. and after a while, y/n seems to have gotten pretty used to knocking on his door.

SYNOPSIS. another year, more memories with the team. y/n was one of the current student managers of the university's basketball team and has been with the them for 2 years now. she knew how everyone played and she knew each member by heart. except for one. apparently, the guys got a new teammate. and boy, was y/n about to know #22 by heart.

genre: fluff / wc: 0.4k / female reader + use of the pet name babe!

the weather was absolutely perfect. the right amount of warmth and a cool breeze. seeing as the moon doesn't rise until late at night, you had the brilliant idea to go to the beach. haknyeon immediately agreed and picked you up in his car. as you were halfway to your destination, you and haknyeon’s stomach grumbled in unison. both of you started dying of laughter.

“wanna pick up some food first?” haknyeon let out a small chuckle.

“yes please,” you responded in delight.

“a fast food place in mind?” haknyeon questioned.

you were craving inn & out. his attention to your mind allowed him to read what you were thinking, and that's how you knew he was your soulmate.

“inn & out it is.” haknyeon started the engine and put his hands on the wheel.

“this is why i love you.” you chimed.

“i love you too.” haknyeon rolled his eyes but then proceeded to hold your hand the whole ride to the drive-through.

about 30 minutes later after ordering food, haknyeon found a cliff coast that was the perfect spot to see the ocean. definitely better than just sitting at the beach itself. haknyeon then popped open the back truck. in the middle between you and haknyeon, you prepared the food on the edge of the trunk. with food on the side and your boyfriend right next to you, everything felt like home.

“oh babe i just remembered, someone from high school recognized me today. they kept telling me a lot of girls had a crush on me. even some guys.” haknyeon let out an airy laugh as if he had no clue about it.

“well of course babe. you were mr. popular,” you informed him. “i had a lot of competition just to have you. it wasn’t easy.”

haknyeon was dumbfounded but was quick to defend himself. “you were also every guy’s crush. i was the lucky one who got to date you.” he placed a kiss on your forehead.

“i mean we both won prom queen and king. everybody knew i was yours at that point.” you laid your head onto his shoulder.

“it was fun to see all their faces as they found out we were dating. i couldn’t believe i was dating the prettiest girl at school.” haknyeon reminisced.

“hey! how about now.” you pouted.

“you’re the prettiest girl in the whole world.” he squished your cheeks.

“oh, my little high school sweetheart.” you turned your head, keeping your chin on his shoulder, looking up at your fiance. he was still the same boy you fell in love with back in high school but now he was yours forever.

a/n: thinking of the dialog was a little bit difficult but i pushed through >_< i hope the anon who requested this enjoys this fic :,)

Keeping in mind that this is about dating and not marrying

Also keep in mind that from their pov, "foreign" could just as well be someone who was born or raised in another country but still is living in Korea right now, or even just someone mixed. And even for the "foreign" members of the groups, I'm considering the word foreign as meaning "not Korean".

SANGYEON: queen of swords, hierophant

He prefers something traditional even if just for dating, he likes the more quiet classy poise of Korean people. If not Korean at least still understanding East Asian culture.

JACOB: 7 of pentacles, knight of cups

Although someone completely outside of korean culture would take more time for him to adjust (even though he is a “foreigner” himself) and he would want to get to know the person as friend first, as long as there is love and attraction it could work.

YOUNGHOON: 8 of pentacles, queen of pentacles

He would see it as a lot of work especially if he’d had to learn another language and he prefers something more simple and familiar. So maybe a japanese for example, but not anyone with too many cultural differences. He is open to a friendship though.

A tired sigh left your lips as you stepped into your shared apartment. Today was a long and exhausting day and all you wanted right now was to drown yourself in your lover's arms.

Speaking of which, Haknyeon's head peeked from the hallway and once he took in your tired apparence, he immediately walked to you and engulfed you into a warm, welcoming hug.

"Tired ?" He asked against your hair, one of his hand soothingly rubbing circles on your back.

You quickly relaxed in his embrace and a sigh of relief escaped your lips.

Too tired to make any coherent sentence you simply hummed in response to his question.

His lips lingered on top of your head for a few moments, planting soft kisses to your crown until he pulled away from the hug, still holding onto your shoulders as your arms lazily hang around his waist. He stared at you with loving eyes and his hand made its way to your face to tuck a foreign strand of hair behind your ear.

"Did you eat ?"

You shook your head no causing a small pout to appear on Haknyeon's lips and you couldn't resist but plant a small peck on them.

"You should" he said

"I don't feel like eating, all i wanna do right now is cuddle and sleep"

His pouty lips quickly turned into a smile at what you said.

"Okay then, go take a shower and join me in bed ?" He asked with a tilt of his head

"Sounds good to me" you smiled back

He pecked your lips one last time before letting you go upstairs to get some fresh clothes and take a warm shower.

After a solid 20 minutes of enjoying the feeling of luke water trickling down your skin and relieving all the stress and exhaustion your body accumulated throughout the day, you decided to step out of the shower and get ready for bed.

As relieving as the shower was, your body was still extremely tired and your eyelids felt heavy. Needless to say, you were totally consumed by exhaustion.

Entering your shared bedroom you saw your boyfriend under the sheets, patiently waiting for you.

He stretched his arms out for you to join him which you immediately did ; slipping under the covers and pressing your tired body against his warm one, your head resting on his chest as his hands came up to burry in your hair almost immediately.

"Feeling better ?" He asked softly

"A little" you answered tightening your arms around his body.

Kissing the top of your head, the both of you let the silence take over the room. The only sound you could hear was his heart beating against his chest and his soft breathing.

"Tell me about your day" his soft voice broke the silence

"It was horrible Hak, i don't wanna ruin the mood" you mumbled

"It's okay just tell me. I wanna hear it"

You laughed quietly and complied, ranting about how annoying your co-worker was being and how a certain customer made a scene about her iced tea being too cold (which seemed to be the funniest thing Haknyeon has heard in a while from how hard he laughed at it)

After some time, you words started to get slurred until you stopped in the middle of your sentence and fell completely silent.

Haknyeon looked down at you only to find you fast asleep on his chest.

With one last kiss to your head, he turned off the bedside lamp, wishing you a goodnight and joined you into dreamland.
