I tried designing Gar'Skuther as an actual creature rather than just a floating fella. Text written out under break since my handwriting is crap.

I'm so curious about sprout, what's her lore? How does she utilize her powers? Why does she have fangs and mushrooms growing out of her?
She's such a unique and cool character! I really adore her design too (how did you come up with her design too, like it really inspires me to make my own dnd druids more creepy lol).
She's got so much and so little going on tbh! And I don't know anything about her backstory before she was reborn until it gets revealed in games. Lore wise, she was killed and but reborn via mushrooms inhabiting her body then found by a Vistani family who loves her and she loves them. Tho uh.. her new parents had to deal with a very feral scared teenager for a bit. She's only been reborn for less than half a year. Plus Sprout doesn't remember anything from before, and in game can probably deduct that she died (no clue how or why tho yet), and which domain she is maybe from originally. Her mushrooms being made from the Mists is a very new realization as well.
Power wise is standard druid stuff, but with the obvious mushroom flair due to her whole... thing & being a Circle of Spores. She does do some punchy stuff cause her Vistani mom is a monk! As for the fangs, her favorite cantrip is Primal Savagery, but I like the idea of her getting baby fangs from her overabundant use of it. Just her downside right now is being majorly necrotic or acid/poison type damage spells, that's not very effective against all the undead/ghosts we've been up against! She just wants to bite things & make it hurt!
Concept wise, i had an idea for a reborn via mushrooms druid a long time ago with the same visual concept, but went being a teenager route. I think I pitched the idea to my DM as 'being the NPC child adventuring parties like to adopt.' But then Sprout was given a very cool family who found her and raised her back to health so now she's just with the party as a request from her dad to stay behind so maybe she could learn/remember things about herself. Which.. okay dad, but she's not enjoying the crisis' so far!
The idea of her has grown cause I love my DM and we spitball stuff a lot. I do always enjoy thinking of the idea that Stefan & Ana (her Vistani parents) not being able to have kids & the Mists just give them a feral teenager.

Can’t sleep, gonna rant about Sozo.
Also this is a long ass post and I tried my best to break it up. It’s mostly speculation about menticide tbh.
So I’ve been thinking about how the menticide is obviously based on cordyceps, we already know that but, I was thinking about how when he becomes Sozonius he has no memory of what happened while he was infected. The thing is cordyceps doesn’t actually control the brain really. It more so cuts the brain off from the rest of the body and controls the body. In fact there was a study focused on the mandibles of infected ants and there was fungus in them and affecting them. It’s because the cordyceps will make an ant move to a higher space under a leaf or something and then the ant will clamp down on it so even after they die they stay firmly in place and the fungus can fully mature and spread more spores to the unsuspecting ants below. Fungi are very picky about temperature and that’s why they move to a higher space. That’s also why cordyceps doesn’t infect humans. Also the ants infected are typically carpenter ants.
Anyway back to menticide. I believe the menticide is not entirely dependent on a host for spreading spores. While the shrooms we pick in Anura very well could’ve sprouted from corpses (maybe even ones sacrificed to Heket) we can take them back to our own farm and grow them no corpses required and I doubt they’re catching spiders at night. They don’t get quite as large as the ones in Anura though. It could be that those ones are years old but I doubt that because Sozo. There could also just be more desirable growing conditions in Anura leading to the larger fungi which is much more likely I think. Those growing conditions may or may not include a sacrifice but the most we can do right now is speculate and headcannon.
I also would like to think that our followers end up being fine after the brain washing ritual because they take smaller doses (much smaller than Sozo takes) and due to the cool down they take it way less frequently. Also the position of the cult in that sorta valley region likely does no favors for the menticide, this can be backed up by the farm as I mentioned just before.
I think Sozo’s followers end up being “fine” after his rituals because they themselves are mushrooms. Not just mushrooms but clearly also menticide. I put fine in quotations because there is an implication of cannibalism but also we get to commit cannibalism in our cult too so it probably actually is fine in the game. Anyway I don’t think a menticide mushroom would infect itself but that does bring to question why it would brain wash itself and why there even are shrooms with brains in the first place.
I saw another theory (I don’t remember who posted it, I’m so sorry) that proposed that the Mushroomos may be the result of sacrifice in Anura. Remember when I mentioned the shrooms there and how they’re larger? Maybe some of them do sprout from corpses and if left to grow they gradually become more humanoid and then eventually, Mushroomo. Maybe the shrooms we collect already produced a Mushroomo. I don’t know but there’s some interesting speculative biology there. I’m still not sure why the menticide has any effect on them though seeing as Dr. Sozonius mentions that they offered him some. That kinda implies that they already ate it unless they intentionally infected him. But why would they do that?
What would be the motive? Is it because he’s an ant? Are ants better hosts? Did that want him to spread the spores? Why wouldn’t the Mushroomos use his corpse for anything? Is it respect? Is it disrespect?! Why where we able to plant a mushroom get an ant and then remove the mushroom from the mushroom ant!!?? Is that guy in our cults really Sozo or does it just believe it is Sozo?
There were no signs to show Sozo was old. It is undeniable that Sozonius is elderly. Maybe the menticide does have some anti-aging properties but as soon as the shroom is removed the affect is reversed. Maybe it also has healing or regenerative properties. Maybe that’s why we were able to “grow” Sozo. Maybe that’s why his follower form is also so small and lacks some limbs (totally not just a convenient game design thing or anything lmao) anyway I think when we remove the shroom from Sozo’s head it does have him on it so when we plant it it regenerates him from that little bit. That does technically make him a sorta clone seeing as his corpse is still back at Spore Grotto. This theory also means that if he stayed in the ground a bit longer then maybe his whole body would’ve gone back to how it was before. Or maybe not though. Maybe the regeneration from the menticide is limited. Maybe it would still regenerate him out of the ground but we removed it so he won’t fully grow back now (keeping with 100%ing the story of course. I know some of you don’t because you think Sozonius is boring, which is sad but fair. From a story perspective though the lamb does cure him though so I’m going with that)
Also if ants are better hosts and they wanted him to spread the spores imagine if accidentally got his whole colony killed. I’m starting to enter fanfic territory lol.
Sozo manages to spread the menticide and gets his colony wiped out. He either has a higher tolerance or compatibility or something or the Mushroomos are intentionally keeping him alive. I don’t know why. Uh cheap answer is vague prophecy I guess? Anyway you know when you read Sozo’s mind while he’s in jail and he thinks “ where is Mimi?” I don’t have a screenshot rn sorry. But who the fuck is Mimi? And imagine the devastation Sozonius would feel knowing he got them killed. Sozo and Dr. Sozonius remind me of Ice King and Simon so like what if Mimi is almost his Betty or something?
Oh shit! I almost forgot about how I mentioned that cordyceps doesn’t actually control the mind but menticide does. I just thought that would be interesting to explore because what if Sozo what still somewhat conscious as Sozonius while having no real control over his body. Terrifying as shit.

Hmm, their reaction would probably depend on their stage of infection, assuming they've been taken somewhere they can still survive such as a Earth (it may be dying but it's still habitable, this is why humans even tried to take from mobius to begin with) or a spaceshuttle/craft like the ark.
First stages would probably be put under a lot of stress for reasons they can't even understand, making their chances of transforming a bit higher. They'd want to go home. It'd be like a panic version of homesickness. They wouldn't be mindlessly panicking but they'd be visibly uneasy about being away.
Second stages would freak out, act out via thrashing around and attacking anything- even themself if they didn't realize it was them. Their goal wouldn't be to infect anything anymore, they'd just be freaking out until they eventually fall to exhaustion. The infection wouldn't know what to do other than self destruct.
Born infecteds wouldn't be affected too badly, a bit thrown off by their new environment but they'd adapt. Their bacteria production would lessen but they'd also have the weird urge to try to touch any plantlife nearby, if any. Those that produce spores would grow sick though and could potentially die if not returned to mobius.
Third stages would die almost immediately. No spores or anything, just quickly dying and no longer being a source of infections anymore. It can't do anything if it's not on mobius.

i rotted about his design at some point that i should probably digitize eventually ,, shoutout to kiwi @kiwinatorwaffles who was an awesome beta and i can never thank him enough !! heres some paragraphs bc theres nearly 7k words in this doc
Even if his 'experimental conditions' weren't 'sterile,' he wasn't exactly afraid of being taken to galactic court. It wasn't like he was within any real jurisdiction, being an exoplanet from the main central hub any real authority originated from. He was on an outer band of the galaxy- it would take a while to get to him, if they even knew he was there. Which wasn't likely. By the sound of the blaring alarms in the station when his pod departed with haste- the researchers of the nHo weren't long for the universe. He figured they would have come calling long ago if they had somehow survived.
When he first poked at that fallen meteorite, the glowing hyphae stained his hands bright blue. The mineral casing was almost like a containment, of sorts, and he smashed it apart with hardly a second thought. Warped vines, limp with neglect, looked out of place in the crater of its own making. Rich loam had been overturned by the crash, deep green interrupted by a charred splash of black. The cyan starburst, branching out already from its own nylium, Etho couldn't help but feel for it. Surviving when he first arrived was far from easy, and he could've used a helping hand.
So he helped the fungi spread. He carried hyphae to where it could thrive, the nearest rotted tree trunks a perfect host. The drifting particles he thought were ash was spores already drifting on the breeze. Within days under his watchful eye, mycelia had taken permanent root around the crater. The blue tinge to his fingertips that wouldn't come off when scrubbed was hardly a pressing concern.
As time passed, he had mostly settled with a comfortable form. On his crown sat an array of prismarine, and he grew antennae reminiscent of the bamboo from his home planet. He liked the feel of a tail while it was useful swimming, and kept it even when he returned to land-dwelling. Smaller and thinner, though, with a tuft at the end. It was another reminder of one of the researchers he used to spend time with on the nHo.
He carved a staff off one of the massive mushrooms once his joints started getting achy. It was taller than him, but the base flared out and there was a nice handhold at about his middle. The dark cyan of the fungal wood matched his long-since stained shirt, and sometimes he could swear he saw symbols dancing off the tip during the foggiest nights. That was when the fungi were truly in their element, beacons through the mist looming up out of nowhere. Crushed hyphae beneath his sandals left a trail of glowing footprints.

I can’t get it out my head that I really want stranger things s5 to either open or close with ELOs Mr Blue Sky.
It came out in 1977 so it’s totally plausible to be featured, and I just think it’d be the perfect song to have an opening montage to tbh. Like I can vividly imagine one of the characters is listening to it on their Walkman, then it transitions into different characters going about their routine in a Hawkins that’s being taken over by the upside down. it’d be an ironic use obviously as the sky would not be a blue sky with a bright shining sun, but grey with red lightning and spores floating through the air. I think it’d be a great way to introduce the ‘new normal’ that the characters have had to adapt to, since it seems obvious that the season won’t be picking up right where s4 ended.
Alternatively, if they used it near the end of the show when the upside down is defeated, then it would be a reflection of their victory. After literally not having blue sky’s for however long the gates were open, (which considering there may be a significant time skip at the start could mean months to years), then the receding upside down allowing through clear sky’s, normal weather and life etc would make the lyrics like “its a beautiful new day” “mr blue sky please tell us why you had to hide away for so long” “today is the day we’ve waited for” really fitting for the circumstances.
I particularly think the line “hey you with the pretty face, welcome to the human race” perfectly fits Eleven, someone who was kept isolated from so long, and who with the end of the upside down might finally be free to truly start her own life in the world.
Anyway I know it’s probably not what’ll happen, but hey maybe I’ll see some edits of this vision at some point.

aww thanks for asking!! the only one i've posted on here is rat (she chose her name herself) from my coop with my gf, so i'll show off my gremlin:
she's a spore druid (and lv 1 cleric dip) forest gnome who was raised in an enclave of mielikki followers after being lost in the forest, but she left bc she hated how secluded it was. in her wanderings she found she really liked getting her grubby hands on other people's shiny stuff, plus she could take advantage of her druid shapeshifting to steal… eventually she met blu (who is my gf's rogue/fighter tiefling) and they became thieving partners-in-crime, altho blu is now reformed. ummm some rando notes- rat wants to live freely; she is a bit selfish, kinda mean and judgmental—but also a coward so she wouldn't say her rude thoughts to someone's face (but also not exactly a nice sweet talker, she just gets by) and tries to avoid fights; more of a backline fighter who likes to hide behind her summons; soft spot for animals ofc (will also talk shit with them); resourceful with strong survival instincts.
her romance was with lae'zel, which was unintentional and really funny since i went in with no plans for her and also not yet aboard the lae'zel train. so in the beginning our party was rat, blu, shadowheart (blu's romance) and lae'zel (originally ~temporary while i figured out who i wanted to replace her with), BUT then we got to zorru- i had rat indulge lae'zel's interrogation tech bc rat is lowkey mean, and then suddenly she gets "lae'zel approves" plus the "i love ur smell" proposition. i was laughing bc lae'zel says like… "you've proven your dominance and courage", and rat is Not at all like that (or doesn't think she is). she's… more of a coward looking out for her own survival. but i was like fk it we roll with it though bc 1. the idea of lae'zel misjudging rat so badly is funny and 2. rat was def scared of lae'zel so fear + the ego boost + impulsive adrenaline (+ promise of a good time tbh) would totally make her go for it and play along and try to pretend to be the person lae'zel thinks she is.
but i think it actually turns out sweet and works out because in my head, with lae'zel, rat learned to be more brave and more honest. like doesn't quite change completely but more so understanding bravery is what u do in spite of fear yadda yadda u kno. and she knows how to look out for herself and how to be a lil selfish so she encourages lae'zel to do the same, after a lifetime of Serving. somewhere along the way they both drop the fronts they're putting up.
fun bit: rat actually succeeded her intimidation check in the first lae'zel romance scene when you tell her submit to you instead, but my hc is she blurted it out as a snarky impulsive reaction and when she actually tried to follow through it was kinda embarrassing.

sigh I'll bite what about tit out boomerang
Bit of a doozy here. So first of, he's only showed up in like... 5 or 6 panels of issue #3 of Multiversity: Harley Screws Up The DCU so far. Problem is, he's under Starro's control so he's not like... Actually doing anything Starro is making his body do things with the Starro Spore on his face. I looked into Starro's weakness and therefore I could fix him by ripping the Starro Spore off his face. I might have to lock up in a freezer or something but yeah. Also supposedly in comics the hosts are still alive and the based on what happened to Harley... I'd say he's probably still alive under there. Since I want the Starro Spore off his face and I want him to just... Live his life, that's what makes it so far from the original cuz so far he's only showed as a host for Starro. He should be allowed to kill and bite and maim Starro for what they? It? (Wtf are Starro's pronouns. Does Starro even have pronouns???) did to him. Sadly this is like... The most he's showed up in ANYTHING since he died in the movie and since the game has been delayed until February of next year it could still be quite some time before he finally shows up more. So like... 6 panels where he's infected with a starfish shaped facehugger is the best I got rn. So I'm using what I got to craft my own little thing where he's got a sick ass looking Starro shaped scar like how Harley had (she always gets the attention anymore). Normally he's just a silly little guy. A fucking court jester even. But with him being part of a hive mind at the moment we just don't get to see it. Yeah, he's still able to bite and kill and maim, but not in a way he really wants to because of the whole hive mind parasite bs. The og has 2 kinds of daddy issues and I like characters with daddy issues. The original is also an asshole and I love them for it so I'm saying he's also an asshole. I don't think there's a version of him out there who isn't an asshole tbh. I fucking love his design. Except you know... The fact you can't see his fucking face. Can't wait to peel that parasite of his face to look that asshole in the eyes. I hope his eyes are green. It's been a minute since he's been drawn in canon with green eyes. But here's another picture of his design. It's so fucking good. I wish I looked that hot and sexy. I want to look exactly like that. Minus the mind controlling starfish shaped alien facehugger.

OH GOSH the possibilities.... I will go with my boy Angel! Who i.... just realized i didnt put his info down in my character list WOOPS-
1. Write a basic lowdown of your OC. What's their deal?
Angel is a sylvari running from his Wyld Hunt! He's also me having fun with the whole mushroom vari thing too. His pod was severely damaged and dropped from the Pale Tree's branches due to several accidents and was thought that he was not going to emerge... it was beginning to rot and have mold and fungus grow over it until he finally did emerge! Though he now has a stutter and he's more or less blind, he uses his spores to connect to the mycelium around him and leyline magicks to enhance his vision which aids him pretty well in his surroundings to the point where he's become a scarily good marksman!
Essentially his Wyld Hunt is the inevitability that he will join the Nightmare. He is terrified, he loves his siblings and the Pale Mother and is set on running from that fate, only to instead trip and stumble down his path all the same. Committing crimes for the need of survival until he gets carried away, joining a bandit gang where in the end he is the one that causes the gang to fall apart and get slaughtered, he's got bad luck and a bad track record and it simply can't be helped. I very much wanted to give him a tragedy similar to Jinx from Arcane where despite all the efforts for good, it all spirals down to inevitabilities.
He travels around with the sole survivor of that bandit gang, a charr named Gearloose who is basically like his dad in a Joel The Last of Us kinda way.
His deal.... just to cling to the good that is in the world before the pain of it swallows him up. Gearloose helps his grip.
5. Their most favorite map/place in general?
He tries to steer clear of city maps, so he often finds himself Caledon, particularly that one area of the map with all the crafting stations! It's enough of a hub for him to feel like he's home where he can also relish the fact he is less likely to be recognized.
10. What was their lowest point, either during the story or in general?
Probably when he was the one to trigger the end of his bandit gang alliance. Where a trap and a prank in poor taste went wrong and he shot the gang's leader, also the woman he was secretly crushing on. He watched Gearloose slaughter them all just for his sake before they could kill him instead.
11. What do they consider their home/base of operation?
Hmmm he moves around a lot tbh!! There's not really a location he stops to stick around at, but whenever Gearloose wants to rest up they always go back to the Black Citadel- though it fucks with Angel's vision since there's not a lot of mycelium to connect to AND they would lock him and Gearloose up if they get caught.
19. Do they have a love interest?
So far he's been making goo-goo eyes with another sylvari named Gwen, he's a fun mesmer by another friend, but it's not an official RELATIONSHIP relationship as of now. We'll see where it goes!
30. In what way/s do they differ from an average member of their species?
Probably just his inherent skills to view the world in other ways besides his eyes! He's certainly not the first shroom boy, but his shroom nature is far more due to the conditions of his pod than as who he physically was. The mushroom features of his body are inherent changes by his pod rotting and getting covered in mycelium! His use of leyline magicks is also something that probably makes him above average considering he uses it for his vision only!

More on Hollow Knight
Hiii!!! So I’m here to talk about my playthrough again hehehe.
Mmm. Where do I begin? I’ve got all the nail arts! and the nailmaster charm! Here’s a screenshot of me sitting with one of my masters🥰 Also I love Sheo, he seems to be having a great time with his painting in the middle of nowhere, almost unreachable. He’s living my dream fr
And speaking of nails, I’ve upgraded my to the coiled nail and I’ve gotten another pale ore from the grubfather. Other Pale ores lay beyond nosk and the colosseum of fools, and I still have to try the second trial of those. But btw i’ve beat the first one on my first try and i’m so proud of myself!!! I don’t consider myself to be a great gamer (i have fun nonetheless), so making it through that was a boost hehe.
I am also writing this posts just after defeating the collector just on my second try and obtaining the marks for the remaining grubs which, guess what, were only 3!!! I got 2 already since they were in places I’ve already been in, but the last one is somewhere in the queens gardens, which I haven’t finished exploring yet.
I also bought all the maps (see bellow for a sleeping Corny behind lovely Iselda), opened all the stag stations and went to the stag nest. And look at my vessels!!! I’m gaming, guys! I am close to collecting 400 essence, I’ve gotten the first three flames for my grimmchild, and I defeated the Brooding Mawlek (which I expected money for, but well, nothing is perfect) as well as the Pale Luker.
Remember how I had 15 charms more to collect on the last post? Now there’s only 5 to go! I’m trying to remember which ones I’ve gotten, and I recall Sharp Shadow, Heavy Blow, Quick Slash, obviously de Grimmchild and de Nailmaster as I mentioned, probably Shape of Unn was after the post as well... and the Spore Shroom thingy... oh, and Joni’s Blessing! She seems so nice. A nice little spirit.
I know I’m missing the one found in the hive, but I was having a hard time there lol. Not so much bc of the boss itself, but everytime I died and had to go back I could feel my hair going grey. And, to be fair, there’s not that many screens between the bench and the boss, but the enemies there... I just find them to be a pain, really. And like, I take them out carefully and with a lot of patience (which is not rare from me), but the amount of time this took me made it easy for me to grow tired and deciding to try later.
Anyways. I also got the charm with the little hatchlings. THEY’RE MINIME’S!!!!!!! They’re so cuuute (see bellow) 🥺🥺🥺. So cute. They have little wings, like little fairies. Great game. Also, if you’re wondering why I have so much geo in the screenshot, well... I have been getting the unbreakable charms from Divine [tears] [sweat] [blood]. Only the greedy one is left but I am not giving it to her until I get the money lmao.
Tbh, I don’t remember what’s the other charm that I got in this past few weeks rn. But well, it’s not that important I just wanted to name them lmao. Also i got scammed by the bank women but I already got to juggle hair around hehehe that was fun.
I still haven’t woken up the other two dreamers left (Teacher, Watcher), despite the fact that I’ve been around and there’s only one boss fight between me and each of them. I just haven’t been feeling bosses that much lately, I’ve been moreso exploring and fiding things. Though Idk how much more is there left to find without a boss blocking me but oh well, that’s life, isnt it.

I’m assuming the sirens at the end were supposed to signify the stolen nuke right? I don’t know if I like that cause it doesn’t make sense how it would get to quackity who I don’t remember be on the server when it went missing. Anyway I also think it’s fundy writing the messages since apparently everything is connected to quality now lol, he’s probably trapped in las nevadas and he has met Michael so maybe it makes sense why he’d write to him in the first message, though it doesn’t explain the conflicting voices in the second one
tbh, im not sure how much weight we should put into the concept of "being online the server" when it comes to plot elements, as we are clearly supposed to believe the dsmp takes place in a universe where all of it is real, not a video game. but then theres also the fact multiple characters have referenced the concept of "who was online at the time" for multiple events so. enter shrug emoji here.
i think that the sirens signifying something relating to the nukes is very likely, but its not 100% as those sirens are just general warning sirens. i believe the official name for them are "civil defense sirens" as my tired-self was laughing at earlier. some people hear them semi-frequently, like me who lives in the tornado alley where those sirens go off when the storms get too stormy, but some people will almost never hear them unless something really big is happening, like an air strike.
i think another possibility to the sirens cause could be something relating to the egg. think about it, whats a common fictional thing that causes civil defense sirens to go off? zombie apocalypse starting. now im not saying the egg is a zombie apocalypse kinda thing, but a mind controlling infection suddenly having a way heavier influence/spread? maybe its become airborne/more aggressively airborne, so the sirens are warning people to get inside in an attempt to less the spores affect on people.
as for fundy being the messages that appear on tubbos streams, i think he may be one of them, but i really do think that there's a multitude of speakers sending them, which explains both differences in tone, and the times it seems like it's talking back and forth.
im honestly not too mad about everything starting to connect, especially because how they're connecting feels... mostly natural so far, a few clunks here but it wouldn't be the dream smp if it wasn't scuffed.

There’s something so mesmerizing about this one. My eyes are always drawn to it in the deck builder. Looking at it just gives a weird Emotion (tm) (5% of which is probably being Creeped Out, but i still like it, i just can’t really explain why?)

I just love how you could just “jump into” her art and it’s like you’re there in that scene, my escapist ass loves that shit. But also the DETAIL she puts on her works it’s just in another dimension. Time for a druid meeting with Justin. Let’s see what Fripp wants.
Ah, dad moorland came too. Elizabeth quickly told him this is druid business and he’ll have to leave. Poor guy
I took Justin to the secret stone circle
Almost immediately as I got there, Fripp told Justin he was under arrest and thanked me for apprehending him. Excuse you sir I was under the impression we were gonna help him?
Apparently the druids don’t trust that Justin was tricked, they think he’s actually evil, so they’ll be locking him up. Great.
We soul riders tried arguing his case after they had taken him away, but Fripp quickly distracted us. He has information on how to save Anne!
She’s been located in pandoria, and she appears to be much deeper than Lisa was. Far too deep for the Sleeping Widow to help again, that’s for sure. We’ll need a portal to pandoria. For that we’ll need a keystone that’s kept in the stonecutter’s vault in Dino Valley. To get to Dino Valley faster we’ll need a portal there, and to get that portal we’ll need another keystone. That keystone is just kept by Avalon, though. Much easier to get to
Avalon struggled to find it among all the other junk he keeps in his pockets, but I got it eventually.

The Stonecutter said he probably should’ve given us a more difficult test, but he’s a man of his word, and he opened the door for us.
I love this room, it’s so pretty! And right under the tree is the keystone for the pandorian portal. Time to head back to Fripp

I tried to talk to her but she just told me to leave, that I’m wasting my time, that Garnok cannot be stopped. Oof.
And then Darko showed up out of nowhere
And he summoned these tentacles, which I think are supposed to be Garnok himself?
Anyway, Chance and I decided we’re no use to Anne dead, so we noped outta there
Cue a stressful race where I was avoiding tentacles and mushroom spores and shadow seekers along with the normal race obstacles.

Finally, I’m back. Fripp was confused where Anne was but interrupted himself to say something’s coming and I need to close the portal quick!
Too late! Darko and maybe Garnok followed me through! Darko put some sort of spell on the other soul riders so they could move, and then ran to the keystone to take it for himself
The thing about keystones that I didn’t mention earlier? You need to remove them carefully, or the portal could destabilize and explode, possibly sucking people into it. So when Fripp saw Darko grabbing for the keystone, he ran to stop him and
The keystone exploded very pink and Darko was sucked back through the portal, along with those Garnok tentacles, but Fripp...
Well, Fripp doesn’t look so good. He managed to say something about talking to someone named Evergray, before Elizabeth showed up. We told her what happened and she said Fripp must’ve taken in all the pandoric energy from the keystone himself. The druids will be able to heal him, but it’ll take time.
She took him away and I was left with the soul riders
I told them what happened and we agree we have to save Anne, and this Evergray is our only lead. We decided to go ask Avalon who Evergray even is
Avalon seemed very reluctant to tell us much about Evergray, let alone have us meet up with him. He’s an ex-druid who was exiled and he lives up north in a place full of witches.
We told him it was Fripp that told us to find Evergray and that finally convinced him. He said he would send word that his exile is over and he can come back. He’ll let us know when Evergray has returned.

Star Trek: The Michael Burnham Show, Unification III (3x07)
Comments: What an absolute shit show. I didn’t learn what the title of this travesty was until just now, but it makes me even more disgusted than I already was. Poor Gene Roddenberry. Is this what your hopeful vision of the future looked like?
The purpose of the previous episode was to get a third black box because, we were told (incorrectly) that Burnham needs three to “triangulate” the origin of The Burn. At the beginning of this episode, Tilly explains to Burnham that, while that’s true for two-dimensional space, it’s not true for three-dimensional space (literally the physical world we live in) and so they need another black box. As "Chief Science Officer," how does Michael Burnham not know that?
Ultimately, this means we get another McGuffin plot: gotta find SB-19. We didn’t know what that was because Burnham just invented it now in response to Tilly’s objection, but it’s a science project of the Vulcans, who think they were at the center of The Burn. (Okay, so my stupid predication was actually partially correct; so I’m disgusted).
Anyways, Burnham gets special treatment on Vulcan because she’s like, the adopted “sister” of Spock (or whatever) and since Spock started the unification process between Vulcans and Romulans (back in TNG), they hold him (and his “relations”) in high regard. So Burnham invokes T’Kal-in-ket, some made-up Vulcan thing, where three humans wearing Vulcan ears stand around and have emotional outbursts—do the writers literally not know what a Vulcan is?
I would think “emotionless alien” is probably one of the easiest things to actually get right when raping the corpse of Star Trek, but this show even managed to fumble that as well. It’s honestly pretty impressive. I hope they do The Borg next. They can make a bunch of high-tech, friendly cyborgs who express their individuality by learning beekeeping and knitting sweaters.
Anyways, Burnham believes the data from SB-19 can help her pinpoint the origin of The Burn, but the “Vulcans” don’t trust Starfleet and don’t wanna give that data to them. So Burnham’s mom shows up and... just...
Skipping over that for a moment, Burnham's mom convinces Burnham to be honest/sincere in front of the “Vulcans” to like, emotionally convince them to share the data. This manages to win over the “Vulcan” president, who gives Burnham the data on a future!USB drive, and the episode ends exactly where it began: Burnham once again has all the data she needs to find the origin of The Burn. That feels really good, show. /s
In the M-Plot (because the A- through L-plots are about Michael Burnham), Tilly is made first officer. For some reason. Maybe because (1) the audience really liked when she played the role of a Terran officer (TBH, that was pretty amazing though) or (2) the only other characters I know after two-and-a-half seasons are Saru, who’s already captain; Booker, who has his own ship; and Stammis, who needs to power the spore drive.
There’s a lot to not like about this episode, but I only want to make one point. It’s about the dialogue. Let’s examine. Burnham’s mom shows-up with a cliché cloak over her face so that she can do the dramatic reveal after transporting aboard Discovery. One of the major mysteries of this season has been the location/status of Burnham’s mother. Rightfully, Burnham immediately asks, “Did you ever make it to Terralysium?” and the mom replies:
No, landed right back on Essof IV. (chuckles) Wasn’t pretty. Ah, colonists brought me to the Qowat Milat who healed me. Seems like you could use a bit of that yourself.
That is super condensed dialogue. Just one third of a line of dialogue is used to handwave away one of the biggest mysteries of the season.
Anyways, I had stopped writing here several days ago and am just now returning to it, and I don’t feel like trying to make my point. The dialogue on this show sucks, okay?

Warhammer 40k: Wrath &Glory RP #29
The party gathers together themselves, aliens and Ferrus for a little party in the conference room. Alien booze is involved. There’s a game of Truth or Dare (mostly Truth tbh) that gets called. Larry and Alice do a little arm wrestling, which Larry totally cheats in, and Alice says that she let him win. Coco asks Tirak what’s her favorite thing about La’awali is, and Tirak says it’s how her mind works, how she always thinks about things more deeply. Tirak dares La’awali to give her a kiss. La’awali asks Larry whether he finds Tau attractive, and Larry says that sure, they’re not bad looking. Larry asks Ferrus why he doesn’t sleep with his employers, and Ferrus tells that he used to sleep with a Captain, who, when Ferrus told him he could drop off some of his crewpeople on a war-torn planet, the Captain, apparently offended for being challenged, stranded Ferrus on the planet as well for several months. La’awali does a little dance and Coco admits to being afraid of flying beavers.
We learn that Alice has once pulled a truck off from top of a sewer grate and Alice is the only one who manages to learn a Kroot swearword. Ferrus asks what Izarak’s first time was like, and Izarak admits to maybe having some relations at the Ministrum school. Izarak asks Alice, what she would like to keep hidden from someone. Alice says she wouldn’t have liked her mom to know that she worked in the pits, but apparently her mom died young. Alice asks Ferrus what’s up with his name, and Ferrus tells that all his siblings are named after primarchs in some strange ploy to gain the family some luck (he has a sister named Leman, it’s not great). Larry tells about the worst instructor he had, a flight teacher who liked to humiliate his students.
Coco tells the tale of how she and Ace met; her family had found some eldar artifacts and invited an Inquisitor to look them over, Ace was the Inquisitor’s acolyte and that’s how Coco and Ace first came to know each other, but they started dating only after Ace had been made an Inquisitor. Coco asks Izarak what his favorite part of his job is and he says helping people. La’awali shows a hidden talent for handstands. La’awali inquires about what exactly Inquisitors do, and Coco doesn’t exactly answer the question, saying she doesn’t involve herself with Ace’s business much, but as far as she know, he studies eldar culture and artifacts. Larry tells Coco how he got to Dimmamar with Iris. Ferrus tells a bit what the Captain he used to sleep with was like (some rich kid, kind of handsome, okay in bed).
Ferrus wants to know what Tirak thinks of humans and she says that they’re oddly soft and squishy with no claws and blunt teeth, which she takes to mean that they must have been peaceful at one time, but she’s sure she could crack their skulls open very easily, except maybe Alice. Tirak asks Larry what the biggest human crime is, and Larry answers that it’s heresy (ie believing in wrong stuff). Larry asks Izarak if he has any kids, Izarak says no. Alice recounts walking in on a friend working (as a lady of the night) as the most embarrassing thing ever happened to her. Alice asks Ferrus who in this room he’d fuck. Well, he’s gay and both of the men in the room are employing him in some form, so... Larry’s apparently more his type. Ferrus asks Larry to name a person in his life that he misses the most, and when Larry is unable to name a single person, Ferrus asks whether this is the sort of game where stripping is punishment. Larry answers by taking off his shirt. He also calls out for Izarak to take off his robe (implication being he has lied on a question).
Tirak tells that she might want to be a painter if she wasn’t an engineer/soldier. Coco says that she and Ace might have kids one day, and humans do not lay eggs. Ferrus isn’t quite sure what he’d do if he weren’t a Navigator, which is what Coco asks, as he has literally no experience or knowledge with anything else. Maybe something like piloting? Settling down onto a planet is out of the question. Ferrus asks Alice what she is looking for in a woman, since that’s what they had been talking about. Alice says she would like someone smaller than her, someone quite homely and kind, someone to have a quiet life with. Alice questions Coco about who she was looking for in Asphodel, and whether she was doing it at the behest of Inquisition, as Alice had heard some rumors about that. Coco tells that she was looking for Ranan, and that the Inquisition had nothing to do with it, purely personal. La’awali says she’d like to take a holiday on a Tau planet renowned for its art. La’awali asks Larry for the meaning of his name and Larry lets her know he’s actually named Laurel, presumably after the wreath, though he isn’t sure if there’s more meaning to it than that. Alice tells Larry that she joined the gang by Julo seeing her fight in the pits. She could have become his second-hand woman immediately, but she opted to work for it instead. That’s enough of truth-or-dareing for the night. But the party is far from over.
At some point during the evening(?) Larry takes Alice aside. Alice asks how Larry is finding the party. Larry says it’s good to get to relax a bit after the ordeal they’ve been through. Larry asks about Alice’s lung and says it might be good to get a doctor to look it, at the same time as they get a doctor to take the spores off. Alice says that’s probably good, but she’ll have to save a lot of money to get it replaced. There’s a bit of confusion whether Alice actually works for Larry or not, but anyway Larry hasn’t paid her. There’s many people Larry hasn’t paid, but he’s getting in a better spot with his money, hustling, picking up stray rings here and there. You know, that sort of stuff. Anyway, he asked her to join him, because there’s something he wants to tell her, namely that he actually was educated to be a pilot, by the Imperial army and used to be a pilot for the army, a genuine navy boy. Alice takes this well, or as she says “there was a saying in the gang that all soldiers are bastards, but we’re okay with hanging around with Inquisitor’s girlfriend so I guess it’s okay” and “you might have been a bastard but you haven’t stayed a bastard”. Larry lets Alice know that the navy thinks him dead, so that might become a problem at some point. Alice lets Larry know that he can ask her for help if he needs it at any point.
Rest of the party goes pretty well. Coco gets quite talkative and friendly when drunk, but she is among the first to retire. Larry makes sure to act nice and friendly with Izarak, apparently feeling bad for calling him out. Izarak seems… not too pissed (?).
In the morning Alice talks with Michael, wanting to know about how his acid spit affects his kissing abilities. Michael lets her know he can turn it off, so if he were to kiss someone (which he is not in the habit of doing) the receiver of the kiss would not get hurt. Alice is fascinated by this answer, as she is apparently really interested in Space Marine biology. And other biology too, as she mentions talking with Ferrus about Navigator eye makeup. Michael, somewhat confused, says he doesn’t wear makeup. Alice looks at him like he’s a bit of a dummy. Michael makes the point that he’s mostly just like humans, except bigger (somehow also him not sleeping with people gets brought up). Alice bravely resists asking about Michael’s dick size.
They eventually get to Mpandex. The Forge World is covered in a thick layer of smoke as is very common with the Mechanicus owned planets. They descend through the layer of smoke and find a factory the size of a continent and a sea. They locate an archipelago with movement and a light house. They agree that La’awali should hang around the empty islands of the archipelago, while the party drops off into the sea near the islands. They drift ashore and pretend to be unconscious, except for Alice who starts dragging people away from the water.
Pretty soon some servitors approach and grab them. They are taken inside the lighthouse, where someone begins to examine them. Alice “wakes up” at some point and comes face to face with a tech-priest, who appears to be wearing a swim-suit. He’s mostly human looking, except he lacks hair and eyebrows and appears to have cut off his own eyelids. His name is Chaerilus.
Alice claims to Chaerilus that she doesn’t remember anything, and when he gets a bit suspicious Larry miraculously wakes up and confirms her lie by also not remembering anything. Larry complains pains, saying he has some kind of tumors. Chaerilus also notes that Alice’s lung should be checked out, but she says she can manage, so Larry gets taken in first. Chaerilus asks if Larry would like to stop feeling pain, seeing that he is planning on opening his stomach up. Larry agrees and Chaerilus does something to his brain, so Larry is awake during the operation. Next he takes Alice in and does the same thing. He lets her know that she should look into getting a lung replacement through whichever faction she works for, when/if she remembers it. She asks how expensive they are, he says very.
Once Chaerilus has returned Alice everyone is a bit awake. All claim memory loss. Larry says he remembers the name Ross, but nothing else. None of the others remember anything before falling into the water. Chaerilus provides them with some Mpandex swimsuits to wear, and says that tomorrow he’ll take them to the mainland so that they can be put to use. After some prodding it turns out that Chaerilus tests how clothing fares against elements / weaponry. Mpandex is the biggest under-armor / swim garment manufacturer in the whole segmentum. The party says they’re getting tired, so Chaerilus says he’ll let them sleep and he himself grabs his wide-brimmed hat and heads out to fish.

I dont know how to explain it but i feel like some of the fandom may just see her as a bit of a pushover bc of how she was in TGWDLM with Sam? Or just like as a bit of a sad-cat-lady. As much as I agree that Sam is probably shitty to her I feel like she can stand up for herself and defend herself to an extent u feel? She’s sort of assertive with Ted (That’s not the only reason) and Infected!Sam (“I love you too Sam but I cannot let you go” / “Don’t you twust me?” “Uhhhhhh”) Tbh I think the only reason she started dancing was because she too was getting infected from touching Sam’s brain/being around the spores (in the DT version she hears the music and asks Sam where the voices are coming from!).
Also I sort of theorise that after infection the real person is sort of still there, but they’re also....exaggerated? So I think the absolute rage Charlotte had going on in JUAD was something she’d been holding back and she probably had a lot of resentment going on in her life (eg “and I know I’ve been so ANGRY with him lately”).
Oh! I also think she’d be friendly with Zoey like... I hate the trope of women seeing the same guy and hating each other instead of the guy. I’m sure Zoey’s a perfectly nice person and she’s like 10 years younger than Emma, who’s a few years younger than Charlotte and (i assume) Sam so alllll kinds of red flags are going off on Sam already. I like to think Charlotte would befriend her and be like “hey u should leave Sam because u deserve a LOT BETTER than him”
