one of my favorite (/sarcastic but not really cuz its like funny idk) things in fandoms is when people make ocs or self inserts or 'x readers' being shipped with characters, but the oc/sona/reader is literally just another character from the source material.. its like youre shipping the characters but didnt want to admit it, so you made a kinsona and branded it as something else..
and its NEVER subtle, actually its super blatant every time and im always shocked when nobody points it out..
i have seen uncountable saiki k x readers where the description is like:
"saiki meets someone whose thoughts he cant read for the first time, and even though he doesnt trust her at first, she keeps proving that she is kind and has good intentions!" you mean nendo? reader is girl nendo?
"this time, he meets a girl whose thoughts honestly match up with her spoken words almost perfectly for the first time!" hairo. youre shipping saiki with girl hairo.
"saiki meets someone whose thoughts are too fast and jumbled to re-" ITS AKECHI, THATS AKECHI, ITS LITERALLY AKECHI.
"saiki meets someone whose just as immune to teruhashi as he is for the first and only tim-" this is hairo again, awe bae you secretly LOVE haisai ?!?
"saiki sees his old childhood friend for the first time in years after an incident caused them to be apart and then they fall in lov-" WHY DID YOU EVEN WRITE THIS AND NOT CALL IT SAIKECHI.
its even funnier when they say its like that characters little sister, but the way they write it is still literally just the character, like their personality, dialogue, even their relationship, is the same..
not all of them fit this exactly, but the ones that take a boy character and turn them into a girl oc to ship them with a boy, it reminds of how in equestria girls they couldnt make applejack and rarity endgame so they gave them boyfriends who looked IDENTICAL to each other.. thats what youre creating, guys, youre creating heterosexual rarijack.

i know that atsv and spiderverse in general is probably not including Gabe for various reasons and therefore when Mig took his alt selfs place he wasnt actually leaving anyone behind. he said something along the lines of “i found a universe where i was happy” which kinda screams that something was fucked up with his home one, i’d like to think more than usual because the other explanation is that he just left like all his family behind. Which is extremely messed up but also on the other hand a little funny
like imagine being gabe here. Imagine your older brother fucks off to another universe because of his depression and comes back with even worse depression ranting some shit about canon events. You have to be told where he went by his AI because god knows your brother has all the communication skills of a rusty spoon. Have to be told he fucking left with no intention of coming back

I think what really upset me of being a c!Scott enjoyer on tumblr (the place known for c!Scott hate for some reason idk) isn't the hate itself (some people do gives valid criticisms. Many I also disagree with but valid nonetheless) it is the fact that I never see this type of criticism for any other life series character besides Scott. It's always "This is why Jimmy is so reckless in the life series" or "This is why The red king wasn't truly evil in 3rd life" but never any hate like the amount c!Scott gets. (Which is another issue but that's not relevant)
Come on tumblr it's not all black in white here!!
Let's talk about Jimmy's reckless behavior and how it does much more harm than good. Let's talk about Joel with his uncontrollable anger issues that only leads to the death of himself and others he cares about. LET'S TALK ABOUT PEARLS UNHEALTHY OBSESSIVE BEHAVIOR TOWARDS HER ALLIANCES!!
Let's really get in there and dissect all of these characters like they're pigs and frogs in a science class!

Do I actually think Imogen is going to turn on the party? No. I don't think it’s any more likely to happen than I did Fjord releasing Uk’otoa, or Caleb returning to Trent and the Vollstruckers.
Given the nature of the game, any character turning fully dark is unlikely, seeing as it would take them away from the party for a time or potentially even turn them into an npc, replaced by a new pc. So far the only time we've gotten close to seeing something like it happen was Yasha siding with Obann, which could only happen specifically because Ashley was gone from the table for a long time (it was also the product of mind control, not an active choice to turn dark, and as such still doesn’t really count as a pc turning on the party in my eyes).
But the possibility is there. The seeds planted. Travis has talked about how, after he threw the falchion away, he briefly considered having Fjord leave the party and retun to the coast and Uk’otoa. Liam has mentioned that, early on, Caleb returning to work for Trent was a very real possibilty. It can happen, if the players and narrative are open to it.
And now, canonically, Imogen is desperately and understandably searching for a reason not to have to fight her own mother. She is, however briefly, questioning whether the Ruby Vanguard might have a just cause. Much as she hates it, she also feels the allure of the power Ruidus gives her. Her closest ally is someone who has repeatedly assured she will stand by her no matter what she chooses, even after she voiced the possibility of letting Predathos get out. None of these parts of Imogen are evil, and all of them are understandable and deeply rooted in pain and ostracization, but they could very easily be turned into justification, were she pushed enough.
The seeds are planted. Again, I don’t think it will happen (she seems firmly against the evil plan when reminded of how evil it is), but there’s certainly nothing strange or hateful about engaging with and being interested in the darker possibilities as presented in canon. It isn't character hate to acknowledge that Imogen has the potential to go dark, much as Fjord and Caleb and Yasha. To me, it’s what makes her character interesting. I want to see her clash with the party, whether because she’s desperate to save her own mother or because she’s high off the power of Ruidus and lured in. I want to see Laudna have to choose between the world and her promise to stand by Imogen no matter what. I want to see the fallout, the slow healing and redemption and coming to terms with bad choices. I eat that shit up, and if it doesn’t happen in canon I'll probably go read some fic about it to get my fix.

I've been watching Hazbin Hotel in prime. Just watched episode 5 and I gotta ask
Why, oh, WHY DON'T I SEE MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT "MORE THAN ANYTHING" WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE HAZBIN HOTEL MUSIC???
Like I get it, the song before it "Hell's Greatest Dad" Is a bop reminiscent of other music from the era its parodying. I loved it.
BUT why are you only putting clips of that song when this MASTERPIECE comes a few minutes after
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this song. The visuals are beautiful, especially when we get moments like this where you can just see the absolute LOVE this man has for her daughter is so sweet and Heartwarming I just-
The voices are fenomenal but what else can you expect from the broadway talents of Erika Henningsen and Jeremy Jordan.
There is also the whole Symbolism with passing the baton to the next generation and stuff. I- I can't even get into the specifics right now Im too emotional.

this isnt rlly a serious post more so than a thought I need to verbalize but like. there’s an INSANE difference between the fandom being like “hey what if jack was actually his age and got to be a little normal” vs y’all treating a grown ass man like he has to cover his ears when someone swears or sleep with a nightlight on because he’s afraid of the dark, and throwing the P word around to anyone who thinks he’s attractive. one of these things is not like the other.

feel i see more “i don’t understand the hate wille’s character gets” more so than actual wille hate tbh… i think in general he’s one of the least hated characters on the show? idk yeah this season there’s more criticism than he’s gotten in previous seasons but for good reason, he doesn’t have much character growth and kinda reverts. that doesn’t mean he’s bad, it’s ok to point that out yk?
and i don’t want to turn this into x got blank worse but people hate simon and think he is the sole reason wilmon can’t be endgame. i really think it’s just a bit of dissonance that so many people love and relate to wille and his issues so seeing people criticize him when he didn’t get a whole ton in previous seasons is jarring?
like we have to be honest with ourselves there were moments that were hard to watch of wille, some of them i can totally understand how we got there but that doesn’t make them not exist? but that’s the point of the show lisa has said none of the characters are supposed to be perfect. good people do bad things, bad people do good things.
maybe i just see things differently bc i don’t see a lot of what has been said as hate. ignoring what he’s done isn’t good either? like pointing out his actions or backtracking being painted as hate i’m just not sure i’m left so confused today

Jason antis saying the only significant thing jason did as robin was die and then move on to say he's not special for dying. Make up your damn minds, he's absolutely special for dying because his death changed so much even if it's limited to batman. Trying to criticize a character for dying and coming back angry and vengeful is so fucking ridiculous. And to say that he shouldn't have any grievances about robin and what it meant is equally as ridiculous if not more so. Every robin has a right to their thoughts about being one, they all were part of something and that gives them the right to have opinions about it. Dying does not mean he automatically has no right to think about the robin mantle or what it costs. And for the love of god stop whining about ohh he tried to kill damian and tim like holy shit.
We all know jason never had any writers who hated him and wanted to purposely make him purely evil just because they didn't like him come on now. Every appearance jason has is canon, no no not my fav guys the writer hated them and ruined their character on purpose :(
Anyway I am tired, I try not to give too much importance to fandom opinions because it genuinely doesn't matter like there's more important things going on but damn.

Lately I've only been wishing to grab a comic about my favorite character and just have a genuinely good time reading it.
#I can't remember the last time I took a Deadpool comic and genuinely had a good time about it#I hate the direction they took with his character and it's so disrespectful that I don't even talk about I don't even think *any* Deadpool#fan genuinely talk about it because were so tired of his kids characterization we all just collectively decided to ignore whatever hell#marvel through at him#but rant aside#it's just–#I am not sure if comic books are fun anymore I don't even know who I am making content for half of the people on my notes haven't touched#comic book and aren't pretending to do so#people who read the comics tend to be so mean or bitter about it that even if you follow most will be angry about something#comic or fan related and I don't know if I can blame them but following that is draining#and as much as I was trying to be a good sport about it you make a post about comic book characters and#and the overwhelming response is 'I don't read the comics but'– following up by a take about them that doesn't even recognize any core#aspect of their personality that you can't even grasp you can't even recognize them#you can't recognize them on tue cannon you can't recognize them on the fannon#and no matter how engaging you try to make content about the fandom people just–*refuse* to read it. And then– they *refuse* to tag fannon#content as fannon#and *refuse* to leave either#Yes we are all having fun but how can a character tag be so so filled with people who have no idea of who they are#how can a character can be properly loved and take care of and have content that respect them if no one makes any attempt to *know them*#and it's disheartening because *comics* are supposed to be fun *fannon are supposed to be fun*#but for aome reason it's really *really* hard to have fun here anymore#I created this page to share my love for the characters I care about and see more content of people who care about them too#but I can't even *find* people who care about them any more and when I do they're all so angry and upset– And I *cant even blame them*#I just... I can't believe there are people in this fandom who say Mor lied about what happened at Autumn Court and led Azriel on for centuries. We have people say Gwyn, an SA survivor, has manipulate everyone with her lightsinger power and she wasn't actually SA'ed and undermine her strength in Blood Rite. We have people say Feyre overreacted and minimise her trauma and depression to nothing after UTM and calling her ungrateful...
All of these over another man's action...
While Eris didn't try to help her, y'all make a hero out of him for not touching her. I know why he did it but the fact that you all try to find an excuse for his actions and go as far as calling Mor a liar. (don't forget he slut shamed her in front of all the high lords...)
While Azriel is the one who's been panting after Mor for centuries while Mor couldn't be more obvious about how she doesn't want to do anything with him and you didn't even consider how she might not trust him enough to tell him the truth but somehow... Mor is at fault. Somehow Azriel, not even trying to talk to her once and discuss their situation and create a safe space for her and try to be her real friend instead of trying to be in a relationship with her and waiting for a mate bond to snap, is the victim here... you all don't find his actions creepy at all because he's a "shadow daddy". While Azriel still couldn't say he's over Mor to Rhysand and at the same time tried to fck Elain without thinking anything more about her (no future whatsoever), but somehow... somehow is Gwyn's fault, who used her lightsinger power to prevent it to happen and manipulate Azriel all the same... all of this is being said because of Azriel's own actions and you don't want to blame him and hold him accountable for his doings, so you find (create) these disgusting excuses.
While Tamlin only sat there for 3 months and didn't even try to help Feyre and y'all excuse his lack of action for protecting, but he could get her alone right before the night of her last trial... While he sat there begged on his knees and didn't even try to stop Amarantha, and in the main time each bones in Feyre's body was breaking. And you still find an excuse for him locking Feyre and not listening to her about how she's suffering, how she's drowning, for him being "traumatised"... but Feyre died for him and saved his court and people and the whole Prythian and destroyed herself in the process but you all don't even see it... and go as far as calling Feyre a coward for hesitating to kill those faeries...
#the fact I had no opinion about Eris and wanted to see how sjm will approach his story#but y'all make me hate him#even tho I'm a gwynriel I can't shake the feeling how Az behaves in certain situation but because most people love him#and not remotely his personality but his “wingspan” and being “freaky” in bed#everyone try to find an excuse for his action and go as far as making made up excuses#people genuinely make me hate Azriel and Eris sometimes#I'm not even gonna talk about Tam/in bc I already hate him so much and his “fans” doesn't help either#it just adds to my hatred for him everyday#Morrigan & Gwyn & Feyre deserve so much better than these acotar fans...#the fact that these are fictional characters but I wonder how ppl would react to an irl situation like theirs#feyre archeron#gwyneth berdara#morrigan#pro feyre#pro morrigan#pro gwyneth berdara

I'M SICK OF HIM LMAO I AM SO SORRY#there are too many fucking episodes dedicated to this man. pushing everyone else aside just to have him yap about his dead wife#I love him so much but there's only so many times we can bring Diane up and not really develop her as a character but rather to boost Rick#and the show is Rick and MORTY yet all I see is Rick 😭😭 don't get me wrong I love this man#I just feel like we know more about Rick than the rest of the family#WHICH IS FINE IF THAT WAS WHAT THEY WERE GOING FOR#and if they wanted to go in that direction so be it! it's fine!#I just feel like he needs less screen time or at least balance episodes among the family#cause even the most recent Morty episode is about Rick. it was so frustrating watching it cause it's literally MORTY'S fear hole experience#yet we're watching Morty's head canons about his grandparents#I also hate the narrative they took with Diane. only ever having Rick talk of her or others bring her up#it just doesn't make her a character but rather an extension off of Rick. that's how I'm feeling rn with the family#they're all just there to prop up Rick or something. super annoying#but that's about it. I'm kinda mad at him after he tried to convince Kal to k!ll himself but I think he's a great charcter with lots of depth and your pinned post was so interesting because it said so much about moash! #i pinned it kinda as a joke but also bc i'd keep getting sent moash hate from new followers#and while there are many places in this fandom that are receptive to that. i am not really one of them.#man remember when i read ob in 2017 and liked it and so came onto the internet to draw characters from it w/ no knowledge of this fandom#i wasn't a moash-poster back then (all szeth all the time baby) but i was shocked by how everyone talked about one of my fav characters#these days there are plenty of people here who like him but back then i felt like i had to claw out a space for myself to discuss him#largely just felt that the kind of hate he got was counterproductive to any deeper discussions or critiques of the narrative#of course in present that essay mostly serves as a barrier to entry for new people following my blog#because the real question of course is how you guys keep finding me#it's sort of a ''come for the silly drawing you saw somewhere‚ stay for the erratic and long-winded discourse'' kind of vibe#anyway. always nice and flattering to meet new people. sorry i don't post much here anymore.#i make up for it how much i ramble in the tags tho
