Need I say it? I'll say it anyways. Stargazing. Liu Kang loves taking you stargazing. He'll take you absolutely anywhere in the world. It does not matter that he's lived under these stars for ages and ages. He enjoys seeing Earthrealm's natural beauty. And the stars, of course.

Bi-Han prefers private moments with you, so his favorite date is simply a nice stroll. Sure, he could be lavish and drop a whole bunch of money on you, but he feels like that does not display his love properly. He just likes quality time with you, really. I like to think Kenshi is a good ol' fashioned lover boy. He loves extending the date through the whole day. He starts off with surprising you with flowers in the morning, maybe going on for a nice little stroll, have lunch at a quaint little café, and finish it all off with some dancing. Perhaps in the kitchen, or at a club, whichever you choose. Kenshi is actually terrifyingly good at dancing, he's just smooth like that.

Madam Bo's. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Are you surprised? No. I know you aren't. Kung Lao loves any date that involves food, but enjoying something as simple and humble as a meal at Madam Bo's specifically has been and always will be his favorite.

But those moments, deep in the night, where the stars are the brightest make up for all the worry.

Geras kind of has... no concept on dates. Like, none. He's a construct, and he doesn't really know much of the human connection. He's content simply by seeing you- which is kind of all your dates amount to. He's busy regardless, he has to watch over the hourglass.

⎯ Syzoth

Would it sound weird if I said Syzoth really liked hiking...? Aside from just cuddling up with you, he likes to explore. Especially with Earthrealm being so new to him. Being all sort of tucked away in the mountains, just with you, where he's free to transform and explore and enjoy his new-found life and freedom just... sparks something within him.

⎯ Havik

Oh boy. Havik also SUCKS at dates. Given his rowdy and anarchist nature, it's really hard for him to find a proper way to settle down and enjoy the day with you. Aside from naps, he genuinely would like you to tag along with him on all his... excursions. Extreme they may be, dismantling some sort of order with you really makes his heart burn for you.

⎯ Shao Kahn

With his status, it's kind of hard to find proper time to take you out. However, when he does, it's always a stereotypical quiet dinner. He's got some pretty damn connections, and somehow always manages to land the right table. Under the moonlight, just talking about your days. He enjoys those quiet, mundane moments.

⎯ Shang Tsung

A day AND night out shopping is really what Shang Tsung loves. He spoils you (and himself), and he's all chatty while you two walk down the market. He's very observant, actually. Any little thing you so much as spend more than 2 seconds looking at is now in your hands. He loves buying you the little things.

Being second in command to Shao, Reiko kind of knows his way around dancing. He's a soldier, yeah, but especially when he's close to the royalty I imagine there's some sort of luxury he has to uphold. Reiko's not the best at dancing by all means, but whenever some sort of ball event starts in Sun Do, he's bringing you. And he gets better, each time.

KARAOKE. Takeda SUCKS at singing, but it's not about that. It is so fun with him. Getting a break from the Shirai Ryu, his father, the special forces, pulling you to some dive, screaming his heart out to some white girl pop, he loves it. And he loves it when you two do those silly little duets. He could care less about how bad he sings, it's just those moments he gets to let loose with you.

⎯ Bonus Points! Hanzo Hasashi

It may come as a surprise, but Hanzo loves little pottery dates. For a man like him, it seems so unlikely. But it's quiet, and actually needs a lot of focus. That's what he likes about it. It's something calming to do, with his love. And he likes to see what you come up with, especially. He kind of sucks at painting, though. So he'll pass off the bowls or cups he makes for you to paint.

❥︎ Jin suffers from slight body insecurity due to the fact that he's so much physically bigger than the rest of his family and friends, so he kind of vibes with your baggy clothes. He starts wearing something similar when he doesn't have to wear his Shaolin clothes.

❥︎ Jacqui used to be a baseball player, and a very good one too, when she was a child. She left the sport when she joined the military, but the sport never left her: sometimes she just steals your bat to give some empty strikes to the air, wanting to see if she's still got it (she does).

❥︎ The skateboard however... she hates that hellish board on wheels, because she cannot stand on it for all that is dear. She used to hate Cassie's when they were kids and she hates yours too, regardless of how cool you look riding it.

❥︎ Very amused by your fighting style, and he thinks the acrobatic stunts you can pull are something to behold: he loves seeing you so effortlessly float mid-air as if you were weightless, you don't even need his help to do that!

Regressor Takeda Takahashi Hcs

🏵 Regresses to about 2-7

🏵 Normally about a toddler headspace

🏵 But can go bigger or smaller depending on his day (has one of the biggest age ranges out of all his friends)

🏵 Clingy baby, constantly wants your attention

🏵 And asks a million question

🏵 What are you doing? Oh, boring big kid work? Can he help? Well why cant he help? He's smart enough!! Oh, it's really important big kid work? Well can he work beside you?

🏵 His ‘work’ is coloring, it's a tough like our here at four years old :(

🏵 Really likes coloring and making you pretty pictures :3

🏵 He's very proud of his pictures too!! (And he'll usually have you choose what he colors he uses)

🏵 If you put his pictures on the fridge, he'll get all giggly and blushy (and embarrassed when he's bigger because the entire Special Forces can see it on the fridge)

🏵 He's has a close few times where he's almost slipped during training, but usually ends up regressing during end of the day paperwork and his shifts almost done

🏵 What does he want for dinner? No, what do WE want for dinner? :D (he'd prefer Mac and cheese though)

🏵 Is NOT allowed to touch his weapons while small, but he wasn't the one who had the incident that established that rule

🏵 He did, however, prompt Jin on to use his bow to shoot an apple (it went incredibly poorly, thankfully no one got hurt)

🏵 Most preferred punishment is the naughty step because he feels too silly standing in the corner

🏵 (^ Will sit in a chair in the corner though, just not when its facing the corner)

🏵 Also, you've gotta be in the room when he's actively doing his punishment

🏵 And any attempt to leave the room will cause his immense stress

🏵 You know when I mention he's a clingy baby? He has a constant fear that your going to leave him too

🏵 (I think Kenshi did the best thing he knew to do at the moment, but should have kept somewhat in touch before coming back and trying to act like Dad)

🏵 On days this fear gets super bad, he'll cling to you like you'll turn into dust at any moment

🏵 Getting incredibly fussy when you have to even just leave the room

🏵 His relationship with Kenshi is . . . iffy, but not as bad as it use to be

🏵 His father figure is Hanzo, but he's grown to see Kenshi as a second fatherish or uncle like figure (close but never quite that father son bond)

🏵 Kenshi is actively trying to fix that bond, but also understands it'll never fully be there

🏵 Takeda never celebrated Father's Day until he was about 21 and when he was little, he made both Hanzo and Kenshi really messy picture drawings and those drawing have been framed and hung on their walls

🏵 Has had moments where he's clinged to Kenshi sobbing while being small, but only on really bad days

🏵 Kenshi and Hanzo are also in full support of this coping mechanism

🏵 Takeda isn't a rule breaker usually, but can lose common sense sometimes

🏵 Really the thought process of “We could bake these cookies at 350 for 6 minutes . . . Or at 700 for 2 minutes!! :D”

🏵 . . . Don't let him near a stove while small

🏵 Whenever he does break a rule, it's usually an accident and he never really means to

🏵 Will wall off because he saw something interesting, but then wonder where you are and why your not following after a few steps

🏵 Just make sure to hold his hand, he'll be much less prone to just immediately wall off, and will instead try to drag you or tug on your sleeve excitedly

All of the Special Forces were worried for her, mainly Jin. [Name] met Kung Jin and his uncle, Kung Lao when she and her mother decided to move in with them as best friends

As time progressed, the [Hair Color] woman accidentally got her long sleeved outfit stuck on the door handle when leaving, and Takeda was in pure shock

Poor baby will start feeling bad for you

Takeda would reassure her that there is nothing wrong with her scars

In fact, he would comfort her and share his scars with hers

He ends up hugging her, kiss her scars, and whispers sweet words to make her feel loved

☆ 𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓 ☆

"Once again, thanks for training with me, Takeda." She bows her head and looks up at him with the softest smile ever. The Shirai Ryu nods his head with a smile and tells her, 'No problem.' After he said that [Name] left the room, but she accidentally got her sweater stuck onto the door handle. Her eyes widened as she tries to get the sweater off of it, but as Takeda went up to help her with the door, he notices something... Off.

On her left arm, [Name] had some scars on that arm. His eyes widened at her arm before observing it, but [Name] pulls her sleeve back down on it and tells her.

"What was that, [Name]?" Takeda asked. "Nothing."

She hides her arms behind her back, trying to act all innocent, but Takeda didn't take it lightly. "That doesn't look like 'Nothing', what is on your arm?" "I promise you, it's nothing!" She tells him, with a bit of sadness yet anger in her tone. That's when Takeda yells at her with a bit of madness in his tone, "Stop lying!" The [Hair Color] woman's eyes widened as she felt her tears coming down her cheeks. Not once has she ever heard him talk like this to her, so she didn't know how to feel about it. Soon as Takeda seen the tears down her cheeks, he stops being angry and quickly apologizes to her, telling her that he was just a bit worried about her. Later on, [Name] explains to her teammate that she has depression due to finding out about her dad and mom splitting up. This all started like 2 or 3 days ago, when she gets a call from her younger twin brother that her parents finally filed a divorce since their father cheated on the mother. He listened to everything and he decides to pull her into his arms once again.

And next thing they knew, the two were showing one another their scars as they kissed them and comforted them. Takeda was happy to be the one to be there with your needs, and same thing with you, you loved Takeda for who he was.

Kombat kids headcanons :)

A/n:just some random headcanons ive been thinking about and wanted to post. Some suggested subscorp but not really.

Cassie got heat rashes as a kid and Johnny used to stay up with her at night but now Jacqui stays up with her

Takeda and Cassie are Kung Jins wing men

Takeda and Kung Jin were eachothers first kiss in their teens cus they had the talk of 'if i kissed anyone it would be someone i care about'

After learning that her powers were from Mediterranean decent Cassie put more effort into learning about her ancestors like how Johnny would have when he found out.

They used to take trips to small towns and villages where their family was from

Cassie and Jacqui took a girls roadtrip as Jacqui's batchelorette party cus she had a small wedding so Cass was her only bridesmaid and Kung Jin was Takeda's best man

Kung Jin and Takeda were childhood friends since the Shirai Ryu was reformed

Takeda got the dad talk from Jax but also Cassie when he and Jacqui started dating

Takeda has a tomagotchi that he takes everywhere and leaves with Hanzo when he goes on missions. Kuai Liang now refers to it as his grandchild and no one knows who hes on about except those three

Cassie has her dads nose

Kung Jin doesnt care if its cold after his life as a thief hes gotten used to it so when he saw Liu Kang (or any past revenant) have an extreme reaction to it because they havent felt the cold in a while hes confused for a minute not necessarily about them but himself. He starts seeing more changes in his life because of his past as a thief and also his family problems. He confides in Liu Kang or Kung Lao in this only after a long while of them being concerned in his recent hesitation while doing certain things and bugging him about it till he finally just tells them everything (Liu Kang makes sure the room is extra warm for him).

They never talk about this again

Takeda and Frost have a sibling rivalry

Cassie can bake and she sometimes does with Takeda. She tried to get Frost to do it once but that resulted in her needing a new kitchen sink and a fear of robotic grandmasters

Cassie and kung jin meet up and debrief in all the drama and gossip

I'm so sorry this took so long, it took me a while to find the first post, but here is part 1

MK Lads x Secret-Villain Reader Part 2

Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion)

Whether or not you were able to communicate that you were being controlled previously doesn't matter, in a fit of grief and desperation Hanzo works it out himself.

After revealing yourself as a villain, Hanzo would've ended your relationship. It took several months for him to work out what was happening to you, but when he finds out, he realizes that he can't rest until you're free.

Hanzo will lift any curse or evil magic-doer who was controlling you to their own ends and will check on you as the spell wears off to make sure you're all right.

Once he's confirmed that you are well, he will leave politely, making sure not to overstay his welcome. If you loved him once, you might love him again, but Hanzo believes you should take the time to re-establish your life and individuality before starting a relationship again.

Liu Kang

Once it's revealed that your villainous actions were the result of some sort of mind control, Kang takes this as a sign, a sign that he was never wrong about you, that you truly never would've done those cruel and evil things.

But he's aware of how precarious the situation is, he can't give away that he's aware of you being controlled, lest the puppet master behind your deeds tries to stop him by using you.

So he stays as close to you as possible, acting completely happy and content, trying to gather any information that he can so that he can save you. He'll realize that you keep making excuses to go somewhere, to a location that you would never specify. Whenever Kang stops you, you are quick to fly into a rage that seemed to hide desperation.

Kang takes this as another sign and lets you leave. Little do you or your puppet master know that Kang followed you in secret, in hopes that you would lead him right to the source of evil that plagued you.

Kenshi

Thankfully for you, Kenshi is able to work out you are being controlled, just as your villainy was revealed. Despite his heartbreak, things weren't adding up.

There were continuous unexplained shifts in your thought patterns, shifts that couldn't be explained by even the most bizarre brain waves.

Despite his pain, Kenshi decides it's not worth killing you, not yet at least. So he'll tie you up and take you on a little journey, to find whatever was causing your mind to completely flip.

Through his own psychic abilities, Kenshi is able to identify the source of your disturbance, eliminating it permanently. While your mind is stable, Kenshi needs more time to trust you again before letting his guard down once more.

Takeda Takahashi

So none of your villainy was willing and you were actually being controlled this entire time? Oh thank the gods, Takeda is relieved! He wants to say that he knew it wasn't really you all along, but that's a lie, he really had his doubts.

He hopes that what/whoever is controlling you is physical so he can cut them up into tiny, screaming pieces.

Turns out it was some magic asshole who was making you do all those evil things. So Takeda goes off on a noble quest to hack that fucker up, and at this point he's too pissed off to listen to any excuses magic fucker might have.

Don't be surprised if he returns to you on horseback, saving you from an evildoer has got him feeling all knightly and romantic.

“WHEN THEY SEE YOUR SCARS” MK MALE CHARACTERS

SUMMARY : Title is pretty self explanatory. I just did a variety of characters

A/N: Ngl, I wanted to write something about this a week ago. Unfortunately, last weekend I slipped up after being two months clean of sh. I have Bipolar 2 so I very easily can slip up more. This is just to comfort people like me. If you have a problem with this, please just scroll past this one

MASTERLIST

MORTAL KOMBAT 1 CHARACTERS

Liu Kang

He doesn’t really understand at first. He tries to think that maybe you had gotten those wounds from a sparring incident. Maybe you had just gotten hurt too bad. That couldn’t of been the case. The wounds clearly looked self inflicted. They were indeed not from something or someone else.

He wanted to ask you about them as carefully as he could though. This was a delicate situation. Then he thought that maybe he shouldn’t even ask you. He should make you comfortable with telling him first. He didn’t want to scare you off.

While you did dishes, Liu Kang came up behind you. He touched both your arms gently that had the overwhelmingly amount of scars on them. Your sleeves covered it. You froze a little when he did this. He then began to rub your arms soothingly and he kissed your face with all the love in the world. “You know I love you right, my love?” That broke you. Liu Kang held you in his arms tightly as you cried in his chest.

Raiden

He jumps into it right away. He doesn’t really think of the best way to handle it because he’s too worried about you. Raiden grips your arm and forces your sleeve up. “What is this?” You snatch your arm away from him. “It’s nothing.” You try to walk away from him but Raiden won’t let you.

Raiden grabs your arm again and makes you stand in place. You’ll try to fight against his hold but Raiden will not back down. “Stop.” He says. He’ll bring you in his chest and wrap his arms around you. “I love you.” He’ll say it over and over again while kissing you as you break down and cry.

He knows you need help and he will deal with that later but right now he will make sure that you know he loves you.

Johnny Cage

He feels like he’s the least bit qualified to handle something like this. He doesn’t know how to bring up the topic. Usually, Johnny uses serious situations with his charming humor but this wasn’t one of those situations. He knew this wasn’t the time for his jokes.

Johnny will start off by saying “You know you can trust me right?” You look at him a little bit confused. “Yeah. Why?” Johnny nods and will turn away from you. “No reason.” And for the day he’ll leave it at that.

This will continue for some time because he genuinely does not know how to handle this situation at all. That is until he comes home from the movie set and he sees you depressed in bed. He’ll lay in the bed with you. He’ll kiss you on your forehead and will then touch your arm with the long sleeve that had your scars on it. “I know.” He brings you closer to his chest. “I’m sorry, doll.”

Bi-Han

He also jumps into right away. He’s a very impulsive individual so he’s not really thinking straight. He’ll grab your arm and force your sleeve up. He’s confused though because he is not familiar with self harm at all. “What is this? How did you get these?”

You snatch your arm from him and roll the sleeve back up. “Got into an accident. That’s it.” “You didn’t tell me that.” “I’m sorry, I didn’t know I had to tell you everything.” Bi-Han notices your snippy behavior but for the first time, he does not indulge in it.

The next time, Bi-Han notices the scars when you come out the shower. He sees the scars now on your thighs. “What is that?” He’ll try to touch them but you push him away telling him they were from sparring. He’s no idiot. He now knows what you’re doing. “Why are you doing that to yourself?” You start to cry and have a breakdown. Bi-Han sighs and will bring you into a hug. Trying to comfort you the best he can but he’s not the best at it.

MORTAL KOMBAT 11 CHARACTERS

Kano

He feels like time has stopped for him. He’ll slowly drink his beer as he looks at them. He knows he’s an asshole but he’s so in love with you, it hurts. He doesn’t know how to go about it without sounding like he doesn’t care.

Kano will slowly touch on your arm where the scars are at. You look at him and down to your arm. For you, time has also stopped because how are you suppose to explain to your boyfriend of what you been doing?

The two of you don’t say a word. Kano starts rubbing on your scars. He finishes the beer in his hand and he sets it down on the counter. “Why are you doing that?” He knows it’s a stupid question but he doesn’t know what to say. When he sees you start to cry, he’ll pull you into a hug. “Come on, love. You know I care about you.”

Shao Kahn

He’s the last person to understand what is on your arm. He thinks somebody had did it to you. “Who did this? I will soak the sands with their blood.” You couldn’t help but chuckle a little and grabbed your arm from him. “Just got too carried away with sparring. Nothing major.” He doesn’t think you lied to him because well to him, you know better.

Shao Kahn only now puts the puzzle pieces together when he sees more appear on your thighs. You had been wanting to have intimacy with the lights off and he didn’t think anything of it but now he understood. He doesn’t know what to say.

He is not the kindest man in the world. Not at all but he did love you with all his heart. He rubbed on the scars and kissed you deeply. “Stop.” Is all he says.

Noob Saibot

He catches on quick. There’s no confusion within him. Especially because you were showing signs of the nature. He just doesn’t know how to go about it without being a dick.

“You should stop that.” He told you. You looked at him a bit confused. “Stop what?” “You know what.” It catches you off guard because you didn’t think that Bi-Han would figure it out.

Bi-Han is not used to this emotion nor is he good with comforting people. “Do you want a hug?” He asked. Crying, you nodded and went to hug him. Surprisingly for cold death, he was warm.

MORTAL KOMBAT X CHARACTERS

Takeda Takahashi

He is in absolute shock. He’s on it immediately though. He doesn’t wait for anything fearing that if he does wait, worse will happen. He grabs your arm and examines it fully. “What is this?” You try to take your arm away but Takeda won’t let you.

“Baby, why?” Takeda asked with his own tears in his eyes. He thinks that he did something wrong. That he isn’t making you happy. “Did I do something wrong? Are you not happy because of me?”

You immediately tell him no that it’s not him. Takeda pulls you into a hug. “I love you so much. Please, don’t do this.” He’ll hold you like his life depends on it and refuses to let go of you. Even when the two of you stop crying.

⎯ Liu Kang

With some free time and a good plan in mind, Liu Kang’s got V-Day SET. He’s got an entire night planned out for you and him, he makes Valentine’s Day out to be a pretty big deal. He’s got a list of what he wants to do and what he wants to get you. All holidays are pretty big with him.

A nice lunch date, some candies, maybe even a silly little stuffed animal. That’s all he needs. And it’s a beautiful day, nonetheless. In truth, he could care less about all the big gestures, but at the same time, it’s fun for him. Part of him won’t deny the spectacle, but he’d also rather just sit down, with you in his arms, and tell you how much you mean to him. The world, and more.

⎯ Kung Lao

Kung Lao’s sure he’s got Valentine’s Day down. A classic bouquet, way too much chocolate and candy, and some of his best (horrid) pickup lines and one liners. Shit, even he does the stupid rose petal trail thing. And he’s proud of himself for it. How romantic!

And the look on your face is priceless to him. Yes, he knows that Valentine’s Day is meant to celebrate your love for eachother, but he enjoys making it about you. Every little gesture met with a small blush or something and it only makes him happier. Every year, he tends to treat V-Day like a second birthday for you, really. So, so many gifts.

⎯ Lord Raiden

Amongst his duty as Protector of Earthrealm, Raiden has lost the flow of Valentine’s Day. But, that doesn’t mean he won’t try. He doesn’t see the glamor in gifts or candies, a simple ‘I love you’ could do for him. But at the same time, he sees how into it you are… so he puts a lot of effort into planning a date for you two.

A night underneath the stars, somewhere in Earthrealm that you can’t discern. It’s tranquil, with no light pollution to hide the entirety of the night sky. The sky is painted in deep blues and oddly vibrant purples. The stars are many, all together, dancing in the sky. So many that it’s hard to find constellations.

⎯ Fujin

Finally back from the void, Fujin has been looking forward to human traditions. Valentine’s Day is one that's on the top of his list. He’s so sweet that it makes your teeth hurt. For years to come he plans out V-Day meticulously, because there’s so much he had missed out on. And he wants to do every cliche thing with you.

So, Fujin takes it one step at a time. For this Valentine’s Day, he brings you some pink orchids. He tries to find different flowers for you with beautiful meanings each year. This year he chose a night of dancing. He’s terrifyingly good, leading you through all the steps, humming along to the music, stopping for a second to just stare down at you and smile… it’s the perfect night.

⎯ Kuai Liang

As Grandmaster, Kuai Liang can;t necessarily take a day off. He’d love to, but duty calls, unfortunately. That doesn’t mean he won’t celebrate V-Day, though. It’ll end up much later in the day, just barely before midnight. He’s practically scavenged for a bouquet, with white daisies and red carnations.

It’s not the most grand celebration, nor the most luxurious. But it is time with his beloved, and it is enough. Regardless, he professes his love for you (like he doesn’t every day…), and you two dance in the kitchen. If he could, he’d drop his work and dedicate his time to you. But these little moments with you in his arms, laughing as he stumbles a little while dancing… perhaps he is okay with it.

⎯ Hanzo Hazashi

Hanzo’s coordinated as hell for Valentine’s Day. He always does his best to make it memorable, even given his busy schedule. But somehow, some way, he’s managed to get most of V-Day off. He plans the perfect night for you two, all he’s left you with during the day is an invitation for a night at his home. He did his best not to give away what he had planned.

When you open the door, you are met with perfectly dimmed lights, and the smell of a home cooked meal, something… doughy. And he greets you with a warm smile– a rare sight these days. He’s made a 3 course meal, but the star of the show is the Castella Cake. He doesn’t get to cook much, but when he does it is a treat. You two stay seated at the dinner table for what feels like hours, well past midnight. Just talking. That was what Hanzo was really looking forward to.

⎯ Johnny Cage

When he was younger, Johnny would’ve definitely bought way too much for you. We’re talking like seven bouquets, all the chocolates and candies off the shelves, a shitton of stuffed animals and teddy bears, and god knows how many cards. He’d probably just sign the cards, younger him wouldn’t take much time to even think about a nice little note to write.

But, lucky for you, he’s grown up. And while he’ll spoil you regardless, he knows there’s no meaning to a gift if he doesn’t think about it. Johnny gets you a nice bouquet of roses, and takes you out for dinner and a movie. He’s got his arm around you the entire movie. And at the end of the night, after he’s dropped you off at your house, he presents one of those silly, cheesy cards to you. With a cute little message on it. ‘I love you to the moon and back’... something like that.

⎯ Kenshi Takahashi

Kenshi’s cocky, but he’s modest, too. As much as he’d like to buy you an over-the-top display of his love, some horribly rich and luxurious chocolates, and hell, even one of those damn swan boat rides. But, he also holds immense restraint. He’s a sappy, cheesy lover, and good gods, is it hard for him to not show it.

Eventually, he settles with something classic. Given his work with Special Forces, he can’t do everything he wanted. Regardless if he convinced himself that it was too over-the-top. So, he gets you a simple bouquet (Sonya helped him pick it out) and a nice dinner. Nothing too fancy, something local and quaint.

⎯ Takeda Takahashi

Takeda is admittedly a mess when it comes to stuff like Valentine’s Day. But, he’s able to pull it off. He’s managed to slip away from the Shirai Ryu and his father for V-Day. Sure, he’s gonna get an earful from BOTH of his dads, but it’ll be worth it. He spends a ridiculous amount of time looking for the right flowers and the right candy for you, he’s… nervous. Real nervous, to be honest.

It’s a surprisingly intimate day! He takes you out to an arcade (once you’ve put the flowers in a vase), and oh… does he like to show off. He’s crushing almost every game (besides guitar hero), doing his best the get the highest amount of credits possible, so he can buy you one of those massive stuffed animals in the prize room. And if there’s a claw machine? Takeda bleeds it DRY. He’ll get you all the stupid little stuffed animals or toys in that thing. He has to. He’s insanely passionate about that, actually.

⎯ Kung Jin

Kung Jin is more of a mess than Takeda, actually. And he’s worse at hiding it. He’s got an entire checklist, what flowers you might like, if you’d prefer sweets or a candle-lit dinner, which stuffed animal he should buy. And no matter how many times he goes over it he can’t quell the butterflies in his stomach. He can’t just talk himself out of it either.

But, he pushes through, and shows up at your door with a bouquet of sunflowers in hand. He trips over his words at the start, but eventually he grows more confident as you two walk around a nice, local outdoor mall. The real date (as he frames it) is at night, when the streets are lit up by fairy lights, and the crowd is much less dense. You two settle down at some restaurant and just… talk. That’s it. Granted, he sprinkles in some cheesy one liners and small ‘love you’s.

⎯ Erron Black

When Erron ran off to Outworld, he thought he wouldn’t have to deal with some Earthrealm holidays. It’s not what drove him off, of course, but he didn’t care much for them anyways. Much less Valentine’s Day. But when you start talking about it, he feels like he’s obligated to. He doesn’t complain, and actually, he’s just as into it as you are. He’s a little homesick, in a way.

It’s no spectacle, but he’s got an idea. The nicest bouquet he could find (with flowers that he cannot pronounce the names of), with a nice little handwritten note. And a horribly cheesy joke. It makes him smile. He’ll teach you how to ride a horse (whatever his mount is called I couldn’t find it), which is really his favorite part of the day. Doesn’t matter if you complain that you already know how to, he still finds it fun. And maybe, just maybe, he’ll egg you on to do the Two-Step with him. To what music? Don’t ask.

kreepy krawlies!

Returning to a still room which hasn't changed since the morning you left it, everything was as it should be. Until you saw it... Hurriedly returning to the hallway and slamming the door behind you, you pulled up a familiar contact for backup.

characters: cassie cage, jacqui briggs, kung jin, takeda takahashi

content warning: bugs (cockroaches, wasps, spiders) and rats, ask to tag

You thought that Cassie may have more courage than you, but she looked just as petrified when she laid eyes on the cockroach that had besieged you. She wasn't scared, but she was definitely grossed out. It would be a close tie for which person wanted to get closer to it the least, but she didn't have her guns and you didn't have the courage to try to throw anything at it.

"So, sleepover in my room?" Cassie proposed half-jokingly.

"It's still going to be here in the morning if I do that," you protested. You both knew that you had to do something, but without any tools, the only choice was to get closer.

"Maybe it will be dead in the morning! It looks pretty old. I mean- Ohmygod ew!" Cassie's reasoning was interrupted when she saw the cockroach move again. It turned away from you both, slovenly crawling towards the furthest wall. The two of you silently looked at each other and nodded with stony expressions.

An outsider might think you guys were simulating a combat situation the way that you both took tactical stances.

Cassie tried to throw your alarm clock at it, but your last minute objection over the object she was using caused her to miss.

Both of you jump back when the cockroach briefly takes flight, eventually settling in a safe spot underneath your desk.

Your daring in starting to crouch with a handful of tissues in your hand is dashed when the cockroach crawls along the floor again.

"Just hand it over here!" Cassie demands. Even though she gets a little further, her hand recoils as soon as she she actually has it.

The moment she could feel it through the tissues, she dropped everything and backed away, face twisted with nausea.

It's not like you were going to do much, but you are a little agape at the fact that she decided to whip out her phone and take a picture instead of doing... Anything else.

By the point that you are both camped out on your bed, stuck at an impasse with the uninvited guest, Cassie is mostly there for moral support. And comedic relief as you look over her shoulder and watch her frantically text everybody else about the situation.

When you hear a knock on your door, Cassie lights up and answers without hesitation.

Standing on the other side is man of the hour, the real MVP, her father, Johnny Cage with a can of Raid.

You make sure to thank him for coming to the rescue, and he accepts the gratitude with the same humility he always has. Which is to say that he gave you both a cocky grin and said something that made Cassie roll her eyes.

"What's the big deal? It's just a- Oh." Upon seeing the tail of a large rat poking out from behind your bedpost, Kung Jin's flippant attitude righted itself. If the tail was that big, he didn't want to see the full creature. Even with that attitude correction, he still had the gall to give you a little sass when you asked why he thought you were exaggerating.

To his credit, even though he was basically wearing pajamas and clearly ready to go to bed, he pulled his hair into a loose ponytail and straightened his posture.

"Cover the bottom of your door with a blanket and let's get this over with," he ordered.

He's kind of bossy... It would irk you a lot more if you knew what to do about the current situation.

When you ask him why he seems so confident, he just gives you a funny look and says "I wanted a hamster as a kid, but my parents said no."

You're skeptical when he tells you to get food, but when you set down a plastic spoon full of peanut butter and wait, you start to see the animal move.

It was a tense waiting game, but what scared you more was Kung Jin, crouched with his hands poised.

He looks more like an assassin waiting to go for the kill rather than a person trying to catch a rat. Not wanting to break his focus, you stand by the door and try not to make any noise or sudden movements.

The way that Kung Jin scoops the rat up into his hands and traps it against his chest without any hesitation is... Kind of scary. You admire his bravery, but you don't get to say that before he starts yelling at you to open the door for him.

You follow his sprint down the corridor and to the nearest exit in case there are any other doors that he needs opened. He jogs a little further from the building before dropping the rat off.

"Did you get bit?" you ask. After huffing, Kung Jin gives you a sarcastic 'Haha.'

He takes a minute to wash his hands once you guys get back inside. When he leaves the bathroom, he looks at you blankly before saying goodnight.

"Thank you so so so much! I owe you," you say. It's reckless to say to someone like him, but you truly mean it.

Kung Jin snickers a little. "Yeah, you do. If you need anything else, I'm going to bed."

"Wait, Jacqui! What if it explodes into a swarm of baby spiders like in those videos!" before your saviour could deal a swift killing blow to the spider on the wall behind your headboard, you grabbed her arm and yanked her away in momentary panic. For a second, she didn't look like she cared, but after a moment's consideration, she grimaced and shuddered.

"That's just nasty, you know! Now you've got me psyched out. Do you want me to take care of it or not?" Jacqui turned to face you, arms crossed as she complained. Her eyes darted to the wall to keep track of her target. Though you felt a little bad for stopping her, the image wouldn't leave your mind.

"Can't we just.. Remove it? Without crushing it?" your pleas made her sigh with resignation.

"Fine. You got any ideas for how to do that?"

Jacqui's brow cocks as she watches you chug your glass of water while rummaging around your desk for something. When you produce a piece of paper, she gets the idea.

The only problem is that, in the few moments that she watched you drain your cup, the spider graduated from the wall to your ceiling.

"I think you should just let me throw something at it," Jacqui says, but you refuse again. Though she doesn't think that anything spectacular will happen, you seem pretty freaked out.

For your peace of mind, she relents again and decides to adapt the plan to the new complication.

"I'll give you a boost and you can grab it," her offer is sound, but you don't want to get anywhere near that creature. When she asks if you want her to climb up onto your shoulders, you find yourself indecisive.

Because you don't want to freak out and drop her, you ultimately decide to do the capturing. With a cup and a piece of paper to shield you, it shouldn't be too bad, right?

It's bad. It's really bad. The spider keeps moving, and Jacqui has to tell you to hurry it up in between encouragements and affirmations.

You finally capture it! Jacqui helps your awkward descent to the ground, knowing you don't have any free hands to get down normally.

Noticing your jittery state, she takes the cup and paper from you and leaves the room. When she comes back, she's carrying a noticeably different cup filled with ice water.

"You know what? I hope that spider has a big, happy, spider family," she quips.

After seeing how ready she was to turn it into a smear on your bedroom wall, you get the feeling that house spiders don't tend to survive any run-ins with her.

"I don't think I'm the guy you want," Takeda said, handle already on the doorknob seconds after he first entered, "Did I ever tell you about the wasp nest incident?"

"No?!" just the name alone gave you a good idea. Knowing that Takeda used to train with Hanzo, you thought that handling a single bug would be a cinch for him. God knows his reflexes were fast enough. Whenever mosquitoes flew too close to him, he would kill them without fail.

"Well, I was trying to hide and I hid in the wrong place at the wrong time. And it turns out that I'm allergic!" Takeda explained briefly. He ended the statement with a wry smile.

Takeda is smart enough to stay with his hand on the door, but he wouldn't just leave you to your own devices when you needed help.

"I'll be the brains and you be the brawn?" is his suggestion. Though you loathe it, your fear was a less pressing reason to not confront the wasp than his allergy.

"You're not going to like this much," was the first thing he said after you agreed. You kind of hated him for a moment.

He tells you to slowly and calmly walk to the window and open it before doing anything else. The couple of steps it takes to cross your room feels like you're trying to cross a minefield.

Once the window is open, he makes you cross back over. When the wasp's wings flutter for a few moments, you freeze like a statue and Takeda has to walk over and gently pull on your sleeve to get you to move again.

So you have to nudge the wasp into leaving through the window without pissing it off enough to attack you. Takeda makes it sound easy, but wasps always seem pissed off from your point of view.

At least Takeda is able to be a little bit more than moral support when he pulls out some folded brochure and gives it to you to use as a prodding device. It's a lot better than your foot.

He's quick to calm you down when the wasp crawls onto the brochure, putting his hands on your shoulders and halfway pushing you to the window.

He tells you to swat it off, but you drop the entire brochure and close up your window before you can even see it hit the ground.

"Sorry, I hope that wasn't important," you apologise, and you really do regret it now.

"Not really. It was just something I was going to give to Hanzo, no big deal," he teases. Your jaw drops at his nonchalant tone and you can't tell if he's joking or not.

Though you threw the brochure out to get as far away from the wasp as possible, you find yourself following Takeda outside to retrieve it soon after.

Kuai Liang/Subzero

Five years ago, you met your soulmate. Kuai Liang, The Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei.

You love him so much and he loves you too, Since today is Valentine’s day, you decided to make a surprise for him. You went to the kitchen, Preparing to make a red heart-shaped cake for him.

You have all the ingredients you want, you put the ingredients all together and stirred them, then after a while, the cake is ready.

After Kuai finished the training session, he went to his room. That you both share, at first he was surprised to sniff a beautiful scent, rose petals on the ground. He sees you wearing a beautiful medium-length pink dress with hearts on it.

“Y/n.. you look beautiful!” He said to you.

“Really? Thank you! Love~” you replied,

He smiles at you, he had saw the room, and the beautiful decorations you had put in it, the big cake you had put on a table, tea, and valentine's plates and letters.

“Oh! It is valentine's day!!” He muttered, giving himself a light facepalm,

You saw that he hid something behind him, and he walks to you while smiling at you.

“Here is your gift my love~” he whispers lovingly,

“Thank you! Here is yours too,” you thanked him, and gave him his present.

Subby giving you a known look, you knew immediately what he wants and that is more than a kiss or putting a hand on his chest in a loving way.

“Come here, I want to feel you now~” He demanded, lovingly.

“I’m coming dear!” You obeyed him.

Hanzo Hasashi

Every person in the world knows that you belong to Hanzo, No one dares to lay a hand on you knowing that Hanzo is still alive. Hanzo made it perfectly clear that you are his, you belong to him and no one will touch you, or they would pay the price.

Hanzo knows you from when you were a nurse in the sky temple, that time when he was recovering from being a slave of Quan chi, you were there to help him recover and forget the pain in his soul and in his heart.

No one had ever been nice to him, knowing that he once was the infamous Scorpion, Slave of Quan Chi, But you decided to help him, lot of nurses and people told you to stay away from him for your sake, for your own good.

But you defied them all, and decided to help him despite everything, he was a ruined man, broken to the core, and he needed help at that time. And you were there to help him.

You fully remembered his reaction when you first met him, he was aggressive at first, but, in time he becomes soft towards you, you saw the knowing looks he gave, since, you are the only female who is kind to help him.

*Present time*

“Koibito~ I love you~,” Hanzo said to you

“I love you too~ Koibito~” you replied while playing with your hair.

He didn’t know of the surprise that you are preparing for him, he is indeed in for a surprise.

Hanzo is holding the teacup, as he was pondering your beauty, he always asks himself what he did to deserve a beauty like you. He is just happy with you, he is over the moon as they say.

“I want you to come in the room, you know~” you muttered, as you winked at him.

“Okay!” He uttered,

You hurriedly walk to your room, preparing the surprise, clutching the Valentine confetti cannon. 🎉

As soon as Hanzo’s leg steps into the room, you shot the confetti, alerting him and he holds the sword.

“Koibito! Relax! It is just confetti!” You joked with him

“Koibito! You scared me!” He yelped,

“Sorry, Koibito~” you apologized,

“No.. it is okay! Let us enjoy Valentine's day~” he replied,

“You are right,” you chuckled,

Then both of you kissed, enjoying your Valentine's day. 💘💝💌🍰

Takeda Takahashi

Never in your life that you thought you are going to celebrate Valentine’s day with your soulmate, Someone like Takeda. You love him, you love everything about him. You know everything about him.

You know that he had been raised in a clan called the Shirai Ryu, and he has some sort of a Ninja lifestyle. You pretty much know everything about him. That’s why you love him!

You decided, that you wanted to surprise him with chocolate heart-shaped sweets! He loves chocolate and you decided that you will make chocolates for him!

You went into the kitchen, melted chocolate in a bowl, then you grabbed a heart-shaped mold added the melted chocolate to it, then, you went to put the mold in the fridge.

After an hour, you cut open the red velvet lid to sprinkle the chocolate you made with it, you also decorated the chocolate with a white chocolate drizzle. After that, you put the chocolate you made into a lovely heart-shaped box.

You went to Takeda into the S.F HQ. You saw him with his friends, Cassie, Jacqui, and Jin.

You boldly walk to them, in the middle of his talking, you gently tapped on his shoulder with your finger.

“Hey Tak~ Happy Valentin’s day!” You greeted then gave him the chocolate box.

“Hey! Y/N!” He greeted back,” Oh. You didn’t have to but thank you for the treat!!” Takeda thanked you, with the known smile and look he gives you.

Takeda took a bite of the chocolate and he was over the moon, he was enjoying every bite of the chocolate you made it. He kept eating piece by piece. By the looks of it, you know he loves the gift you gave him.

“I’m glad that you liked it! I’m going now bye!” You said, then left

You left his friend speechless, they were also speechless by Takeda's reaction, they thought he was just overreacting because he didn’t want to embarrass you, but it seems he likes the chocolate you made!

Kung Lao

Everyone thought that Kung Lao would never get a soulmate! But you appear and silence them all. No one had ever thought of this, Usually, Kung Lao is the laughingstock of MK, But with you, they respect him and love him, because you inspire them to respect him as well.

You are his powerful Soulmate, you are a powerful sword-woman, and you defeated all of Kung Lao’s friends even Liu Kang. With you, Kung Lao has some sense of peace and agency. Since you are very strong and bold in everything you do.

Usually, they respect him so that you won’t kick their asses, but now, they respect him for real.

Now you Celebrate Valentine’s day with him, you make for him chocolate chip cookies, Red velvet macaroons, and a bunch of handwritten love letters on heart-shaped paper.

He is so happy, he has everything he ever wanted, he loves you, and he showers you with love letters and mooncakes.

Both of you sat in a beautiful place near the riverbank, you put your picnic basket and picnic rug.

Both of you sat on the rug, and you put everything in place, food, sweets, and love letters.

“Happy Valentine’s day, My love~” you started, smiling at him

“Happy Valentine’s day to you too!” He replied while putting his mooncake plate on the picnic rug.

Both of you exchanged gifts and words, and both of you talked and ate the food, Enjoying your time with each other.
