Do(n't) touch me
Prompt: Touch-starved

There had been a lot lately. School, the band… school. School was bad enough to be counted thrice if Yamato was honest. Exams, homework and lessons piled up. He’d gotten grounded after missing one tiny essay because he’d been too focused on studying for math. More time for school, less time to hang with his friends.
Point was, a lot had been going on lately and Yamato’s body was tense. Sleep eluded him, both because he had to study and because he just… couldn’t sleep. Couldn’t fall asleep and couldn’t stay asleep. He’d blame stress, but… yeah, maybe it was stress. He put his elbows on the desk and leaned his head into his hands. His head hurt.
”Hey”, Taichi whispered and sat down next to him. ”You okay, man?”
”What are you doing in my class?” Yamato asked.
”I have a game this weekend. I was going to ask if you wanted to come, but you look… yeah.”
”I’m looking great”, Yamato answered, but didn’t look at Taichi. ”I’m still grounded.”
”How long are you gonna be grounded? It’s been forever.”
Yamato snorted and rubbed his eyes. He leaned against the back of the chair instead, arms in his lap.
”End of the month.”
”Yeah, okay.”
Taichi sounded disappointed. He stood up and Yamato glanced at him.
”Maybe next game then”, Taichi said with a smile.
He lifted a hand. There was a weird kind of ache in Yamato’s stomach at the movement. Taichi grabbed his backpack and Yamato’s shoulders fell.
”Maybe”, he said.
”See you around”, Taichi said. ”Gotta head to my own class.”
”Yeah, sure. See you.”
Taichi threw the backpack on his back and turned around. Yamato’s body got tenser, his brain screamed at him to reach out and grab Taichi’s hand. He didn’t and Taichi left the room. Yamato took a shaky breath and turned towards the whiteboard.

Yamato hadn’t been a very touchy person when he grew up. He had kept people at arm’s lenght at all time. It changed after the digital world, but it was hard to express that change.
His skin crawled, felt like it was about to catch on fire. A month of being grounded was almost over and he was ready to explode. He had pushed himself away from people, barely talked to anyone in school. He didn’t dare. Everytime he was next to someone he had to fight against the impulse to reach out and touch them. Hold their hands. He just wanted someone to hug him, pat his shoulder.
Was this what puberty was? Was he horny? It was terrifying and made him feel like a child at the same time. Constantly looking for comfort that he wouldn’t, couldn’t, be given.
He leaned back, pulled his hands over his face and took a shaky breath. Stared at the ceiling for a couple minutes before returning to his homework.

Friday. School was out. Yamato stopped as he walked out of the school. He didn’t need to go home. He wasn’t grounded any longer. He hadn’t made any plans because he’d been too busy trying to act normal. Maybe he should go home anyway. Try to sleep.
He still had trouble sleeping. He was ontop of school, had a bunch of songs ready for the band. He wasn’t sure it was stress any longer.
”Hey!”
Yamato didn’t have time to react before Taichi threw a hand over his shoulders. Yamato’s skin crawled, felt like electricity. His knees felt weak. He knew he should pull away, but his body wasn’t listening to reason. Instead it leaned against Taichi. Yamato’s brain was on fire. Yelled. Tried to force him to move. To behave normally. Laugh and push Taichi away. Instead a strangled noise left him.
”You okay there?” Taichi asked.
”Y-yeah”, Yamato said.
It came out way too insecure. Taichi seemed satisfied.
”Finally out of juvie, eh?” Taichi said. ”What are we doing to celebrate?”
”It wasn’t juvie”, Yamato said and hoped none of the people walking by had heard it.
”Might as well have been.”
Taichi started walking, pulling Yamato along with the arm still across Yamato’s shoulders. Yamato stumbled over his feet, but didn’t pull away. It felt… nice. His shoulders felt less tense.
”Anyway, celebration?” Taichi continued.
”I was just gonna go home and sleep”, Yamato admitted.
Taichi laughed. It made Yamato finally push away and start walking on his own.
”It’s not fun, I haven’t been able to sleep for a month.”
”Okay, so nothing too demanding for celebration”, Taichi smiled and he sounded so casual about it Yamato wanted to scream. ”Let’s order pizza and watch a movie.”
Pizza and movie sounded nice, Yamato could admit to that. Taichi hooked Yamato’s arm with his own and forced him to move towards Taichi’s home instead of his own. Yamato knew he should protest, but the words didn’t come over his mouth. How was Taichi so casual about holding him like this? Yamato sighed. There was no getting out of it.
”Yeah, sure. Pizza and movie. Sounds great.”

Taichi was so close. Yamato’s body was still tense. Two empty pizza-boxes covered the table. They had already finished one movie and had started a second one. Taichi looked so relaxed, slightly leaned against the arm-rest, arm casually slung over the back of the couch. Yamato was leaned forwards, elbows on his knees, hands gripping his arms. Closed off.
”You’re like a plank”, Taichi said with a laugh.
”I’m fine.”
Even his voice was tense. Taichi laughed again.
”Still tired?”
Yamato rolled his eyes, but didn’t answer. Taichi gripped his shirt and pulled him back against the couch.
”You need to relax, man.”
”I’m. Fine.”
”Uh-huh.”
Taichi patted his shoulder and Yamato felt like he was about to melt.
”Absolutely fine”, Taichi agreed. ”Nothing wrong what so ever.”
Taichi put his arm on the back of the couch again. Yamato swallowed. The couch was soft. Taichi was so close.
The door to the apartment opened and closed. Yamato straightened his back and Taichi turned his head towards the hallway.
”I’m home!” Hikari called into the apartment.
”Welcome home!” Taichi called back. ”How was your date?”
”It wasn’t a date!” Hikari protested.
She arrived into the living room and leaned over the couch, eyes on the television.
”What are we watching?”
”A movie”, Taichi answered.
Hikari rolled her eyes.
”What movie, smartass.”
”Howl’s moving castle”, Taichi said. ”It seemed easy enough for a lazy evening.”
Hikari patted Yamato’s shoulder. Yamato let out the same strangled noise as he had earlier in the afternoon and leaned into her touch. Hikari raised an eyebrow and looked at Taichi, who shrugged. Yamato’s cheeks felt hot.
”Can I sit here?”
Hikari didn’t wait for an answer before climbing over the back of the couch and sitting down next to Yamato. Yamato absolutely no idea what to do with himself. Hikari grabbed the bowl of popcorns on the table and gave Yamato a shove. He slid against Taichi, melted against him.
”Someone needs a hug”, Hikari said and laughed.
”I’m not a child”, Yamato said.
He didn’t move away. Taichi put his arm over Yamato’s shoulders again. Yamato had no idea what he was supposed to do in this situation.
”Everyone needs hugs”, Hikari answered.
She turned her back towards Yamato and leaned against him, settled in to watch the movie. Yamato felt his body relax between the two of them. He decided to pretend everything was normal and just watch the movie again.

He slept the whole night for the first time in a month.

A visit to Hey by Taito in the PriMagi era.
This unassuming arcade in Akihabara is one of the best places in the country to play Pretty Series games. I've come here for PriPara, I've come here for PriChan, I came here today for PriMagi, and I hope that someday I will get the opportunity to come here for AiPri.
They had something like nine PriMagi machines with recorders and audio hookups that will allow you to listen with headphones (PriMagi doesn't have a headphone jack like some PriPara/PriChan machines did).
I left just one PriMagi friend card of Luna here. So there is a small chance that maybe, just maybe, she will live on...

Wonder Boy, Bust a Move, New Zealand Story today⊟
Hey y'all, it's been a while, as evidenced by my trying to spell "Tumblr" with an O while logging in. Tomblr. Tumblor. Toumblro.
Anyway I'm back with more old games on Switch. It's becoming my brand and I'm ok with that. Today's Nintendo Download includes a whole entire Wonder Boy Collection (also on PS4/PS5), with multiple versions of each game including Master System, Game Gear, arcade, and Genesis (not all for every game of course!) and multiple regional versions. I don't know developer Bliss Brain, and I didn't play their previous game, the Princess Maker remake. So I can't speak to the quality of the ports. But as long as they're not totally busted that's such a cool collection!
Also on eShop today: Puzzle Bobble™2X/BUST-A-MOVE™2 Arcade Edition & Puzzle Bobble™3/BUST-A-MOVE™3 S-Tribute, a collection of Saturn ports. More importantly, it's just a king's ransom of moves to bust and puzzles to bobble. "Enjoy ports of the arcade games Puzzle Bobble 2X and Puzzle Bobble 3, as well as four home console versions released in Japan and abroad, with added original modes."
Finally, there's an Arcade Archives port of another Taito classic, The New Zealand Story. I might be doing some shopping as long as my house continues to have electricity!
Keep it locked for infrequent updates about ports of old games onto Switch. I'm... I'm doing my best you guys.

So...I may talk about my Persona ocs here. As well as on my writeblr.
So just incase you want some basic info n stuff!!!
Yoshimi Chibana, The Fool(He/Him)
A transfer student from the city. His parents sent him away to live in a rural area to escape some sort of disaster
With the powers of a wild card, he hopes to bring some kind of hope to those around him. The shadows seem to be based on the hopeless or dark thoughts of others, so it fits.
Typical wild card. His starting persona has an emphasis on wind and slash attacks.
Daichi Yuugi, The Hermit (He/They)
An oddball who dreams of making others smile with his stories. Unfortunately, because of his attitude and actions, many have labeled him an idiot.
With their new powers, thru might not be able to prove them wrong, but they will be able to prove to themselves that they're more than a damned stupid clown.
Jack of all trades, who specializes in electric damage, buffs, and status curing and causing. Also does decent strike damage.
Sahori Asana, The High Priestess (She/Her)
The daughter of a doctor who's always wanted to help people with their lives. While her dreams of helping others are admirable, she often doesn't take the time to be kind to herself or push her boundaries.
In a world where despair reigns supreme, she ains to use her powers to save and protect people. Just...don't touch her without her permission and you'll be fine.
Main healer. Adept at ice damage, curative skills, and defense buffs. He also has physical counter skills. Don't touch her.
Taiyou Hazuma, Strength (He/Him)
The son of a retired athlete who has been constantly training in order to be strong like his father, no matter how much it hurts. He aims to be a beacon of hope to his friends, and hides his weaknesses often.
Maybe if he helps fight against shadows, he will be able to find out what really makes him strong. And hey, it's good exercise and helps people. That's good too.
A resilient tank and damage dealer. Focuses on fire and slash skills, as well as attack buffs and getting crits with ease.
Ruka Fukumoto, Justice(She/Her)
A young girl who seems like a delinquent, but is often misunderstood. She would rather just get by and be in peace, but the world is not so kind to her.
Her powers not only allow her to change society, but in a way, get revenge. She will break down the darkness in people's hearts with fury...which probably isn't healthy.
High HP and strength, low endurance. A balanced fighter who wields varied physical strikes and debuffs, as well as some ice damage for coverage.
Kagome Syuuto, The Tower(He/Him)
A surprisingly young veteran of a previous war, now a warrior against the darkness of shadows. He works at a high school now, silently hoping that the new generation learns from the old.
He hates the fact that teenagers are here, but with his power, he hopes he can protect them, and then world too. He'd never say it, but he'd throw his life away for them if he needed to.
A strong physical attacker. Focusing heavily on pierce skills and dark attacks while also having a plethora of debuffs at his disposal.
Kisara Taito, The Chariot (She/They)
A young adult who works at a high school and often faces scrutiny for her life choices and gender expression. They want to ignore those who hate the fact that their life makes them happy.
Her power to assist other with her Persona, and her very good people skills will come in handy. She'll make sure the party is well cared for.
She starts as a navigator, but her powers on the battlefield are no joke. Excellent in high fire damage, as well as speed debuffs and status effects.
"Abel", The Star (He/Him)
A mysterious person who seems to want to understand humanity and protect it with his life. They seem to have a lot of compassion for this world they now inhabit
Initially against the idea of combat, they decide to take up arms to protect humanity from Shadows. They seem to...lack a true persona of their own, which is odd.
A supportive master. They specialize in wind and strike damage, and emergency healing, as well as some good physical damage too.
Ousuke Katou, The Moon(They/Them)
With odd behavior and occurances all around, there's only one reporter who wants to take the case: a high schooler who's definitely a loner. They want to help others and often do thing most wouldn't to achieve their goals.
Their powers, while not useful for direct combat, are invaluable and one of a kind. Even if their efforts are never public, they want to do everything they can to help.
Navigator, who's...a little on the offensive side? They have supportive abilities but can also debuff and stop enemy attacks with their abilities.
Tsubasa Miwako, The Sun(She/Her)
A middle school girl with an incredibly positive attitude, at least when around people, she trusts. The people around her have always told her to, essentially, stop being as happy as she is because of her foreign heritage.
After being saved, she decides to be like the mature people who saved her and fight the darkness. This worries literally everyone around her, but she's surprisingly capable.
A jack of all trades with an emphasis on light magic, slashes, attack debuffs and critical strikes. Extremely dodgy. Can heal in a pinch.

With this, Criss's birthday is sadly over. Thanks to everyone who sent her something! Also, a special thanks to Ryan (Taito) for reminding us that Criss's birthday was yesterday! We would have been upset if we had missed Criss's birthday, since we count her as one of our best OC's. We hope that you show Nadya the same love for her birthday next week! (...if we can remember)

Criss is busy, putting stuff in her book bag, no doubt packing up for another expedition. She groans as she tries to overstuff her backpack, which is already near to the limit. She sighs as she finally manages to close it shut before wiping sweat off of her brow. She looks up at the camera, surprised but then smiling.
"Hey there! Just packing up before I head off. I heard a rumor about something resembling the Abominable Snowman in Hakodate, and I need to head there ASAP to check it out! It's going to be really cold, so I have to make sure I pack for the sleet and snow." After a few more minutes, she seems pleased at all she's packed.
"Whelp, that should do it, I think. I'm all ready to go exploring!" She prepares to leave, but then stops, as if realizing something.
"Oh yeah. I almost forgot. I wanted to say 'thank you' to everyone for their birthday wishes on yesterday. It was really sweet and nice! I'm glad to know a have a lot of fans and friends out there! I hope you'll keep following me as I continue scrounging through the mysterious beyond! Later!"
She then runs out of her room, her heavy knapsack behind her and vanishes into the city of Akihabara towards her next adventure, whatever and wherever it may be...

The two men take verbal swipes at each other every chance they get, yet still wind up in bed together again and again. Both chalk it up to biology and refuse to admit that deeper feelings might be involved, and Shishikura begins looking into other potential marriage partners. Will this tsundere couple ever get their act together, or will destiny be derailed by their own stubbornness?

Finally, the thing I mistook for Yukyuu Omega is here. *exhale*
If y’all know me, you’ll know that I absolutely abhor omegaverse (you can thank Kurui Naku Ban Beta, Sayonara Alpha, and Erito for that). Literally everything you could do in an abo has already been done. I don’t see a point in making more of these. Mangakas: Okay, let’s do domsub instead But hey, am I not a Okitsu whore? No. Anyway, even though I was excited about listening to this, I knew I was going to hate Kotani because he was an asshole.
There’s only one thing worse than an abo.
AN ABO WITH AN ASSHOLE CHARACTER.
But, in spite of myself, I actually enjoyed this.
I’m having a moral crisis, help.
JK. Unmei no Tsugai doesn’t sell itself as a serious plot, so it shouldn’t be taken seriously either. Unlike our deep try-hards. I mean, it’s your pretty run-of-the-mill dumbass gets an excuse to fuck the asshole, falls in love with him, the asshole becomes more of an asshole, the dumbass drags a third party to make him jealous, the asshole becomes more of an asshole, poor third party gets led on and dumped, and the dumbass and asshole finally gets together without the asshole even apologizing, medetashi, medetashi. But the way that Haruta wrote and movic set it all up was fantastic.
Now this is how you do comedy. I initially had some doubts ‘cause the narration in the first track was kind of strange lmao. It went from medieval style to traditional Japanese and it was narrated by someone who sounded like a news broadcaster wth. Is this a densetsu??? The CD later turned out to be a whole vocal flex for Massuu and Okitsu ‘cause goddamn.
Massuu, for starters, used a tone slightly above his Hirokuni but slightly smoother. I haven’t read the manga before, so I wasn’t sure how things were going to go, so I was very surprised that he pulled his shounen (aka his Kirishima) voice later! I loved it. His changes were dynamic, chaotic, and very fitting for Shishikura. AND! AND! JESUS CHRIST HIS SEXAY MONOLOGUES!!! HELLO??? WAS HE PAID EXTRA??? Y’ALL GOTTA HEAR ALL THE BEDROOM SUBJUGATIONS!!! I didn’t know he had that in him tbh. I was just blown away. He has never bottomed this chaotically before, if I recall correctly. It’s evident that he had a lot of fun recording this (as did Okitsu as per the cast talk) and I love that! It makes me wish this had a second volume so we could hear more of this kind of Massuu.
Onto Okitsu,
Y’all already know what I’m gonna say.
Is my bias over Okitsu making me like this? Who knows? But it’s undeniable that my man has, once again, slayed this role. I won’t talk about his perfect performance much ‘cause I’ve already run out of praises years ago, so just know that if you’re not an Okitsu bitch by now, you’re really missing out lmao.
ALSO
I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT WE’VE WITNESSED OKITSU PLAY TWO BETAS, A PRETEND OMEGA, AND NOW FINALLY AN ALPHA!!! We don’t count the disrespect that was Shounen no Kyoukai
-Chesk, 25, hates abos but will listen if Okitsu’s in it
Anywho, these two also had great chemistry with each other. They’re more or less in sync during their mattress mambos, so I really wasn’t spazzing out during Smoky Nectar. I was thinking maybe I was asking for too much. 😂 Idk what to feel, knowing that this is Fatgum x Kirishima
In conclusion, get this. Get this if you’re a fan of the series and abo in general. And if you dislike abo like me, this still is worth getting if you’re an Okitsu/Massuu stan. If you want to see just what makes voice actors good, you’ll be in the right place. As for those who want to read the manga along with the BLCD, it is doable, but bear in mind that there is added and cut dialogue. I only have the magazine releases, and I’ve noticed that the narrations are rearranged, so do try buying the tank if you can (reading the Chrima release with it is doable too tho). Gosh, I really wish this wasn’t an abo lmao. Anyway, I’m afraid there aren’t a lot of gag abos like this out there, so I wouldn’t be able to recommend anything similar. Go Kashikomarimashita: Destiny and Re:birth for more Okitsu tho

Ray’z Arcade Chronology
After re-releasing the Darius games as the Darius Cozmic Collection and G-Darius / G-Darius HD, M2 has returned to Taito’s other big shoot-em-up series with the Ray’z Arcade Chronology. The “Ray’z” name seems to be Taito’s official designation for the 90s-era trilogy consisting of RayForce, RayStorm, and RayCrisis, which all feature the same incredibly satisfying lock-on laser game mechanics as well as the usual spacey soundtracks from inhouse band Zuntata. This collection offers ports of all three games, based on the original arcade versions, developed by M2 as part of their ShotTriggers line of shoot-em-ups. Beyond their incredible emulation accuracy, they also include gadgets on the side of the screen, which let you know your current stage, the difficulty rank (if applicable), and status of your lock-on lasers.
