When Hiroshi and I were in high school, those two were our closest friends. We'd do everything together: go on double dates, festivals, school events, one time we went to an onsen.

Life kinda took us in different directions, and we eventually fell out of touch.

This is real life, not a videogame where you can get the Golden Ending where nobody dies if you try to be nice enough, people will die no matter what to do, and that is what it should happen!

Hajime, you're human, you can't control everything in the universe and make it behind to your will, and you can't save everyone, even in the best timeline, but that doesn't mean that you will become again the hopeless murderer with a massive bystander syndrome that you were as the Steering Committee's, and Junko's, lab rat.

Trying to force the world to give you the perfect videogame ending you want is just going to break you more than you already are once reality hits you back.

Seriously though, Hajime, I don’t hate you for this. I think we need to deal with Shirogane, but you aren’t a bad man for wanting a better alternative. Nor are you a bad man if we kill Shirogane.

...Sitting out makes me feel like a coward. But participating...feels even worse.

And I know...I know we made a bad decision once, with you-know-who, but...at least we can come back from that one. At least we can solve that.

When somebody dies...they're gone. Forever. That's something you can't ever undo, no matter what.

Have you ever thought about that? You're taking an entire person out of this world. Someone with a life of their own, who could've lived for years or even decades...before you pulled the trigger.

Chiaki told me Storm knew that. And...he thought it was the best feeling in the world.

No one is asking you to get rid of your morals, Hajime, God no. It's just that, there are going to be times when you will have to compromise with your morals. Especially since we've *already seen what will happen if we let Shirogane live.* It's awful to go through that, but that's just how reality is sometimes. It's all shades of gray, and not every solution is going to have a nice, pretty bow to it. I just hope by the end of it, you'll be able to make peace with it eventually.

Oh, oh! One last thing before we go. Could you try to set up Hajime and Nikei with a 2030 therapist? If there's one thing we've learned from this whole endeavor is that they both need help for the issues badly. By talking with someone from the future, it would ensure A. They get the help they need without getting arrested. And, B. ensures the therapist themself does not become snake food

We're already working on that.
