Pidge’s Passing

We tried all we could to save this fragile little life and keep him going but his body was so small and he just couldn’t keep up.  As much as we tried and he would show signs of fighting too, his little body just gave up on Monday, August 22, 2022, a little after 10:15 am.

There are so many questions, so many “what if’s” that run through our heads.  What more could we have done?  Could we have taken him to the Emergency Vet, could anything have been done, was this his fate? We don’t know.  He was a part of a litter that was not actually ours but was just in our care.

The lesson to take away from this is that when you have a kitten in your care that is fragile, make sure to get that little one checked out, if that means a run to the emergency vet, then so be it.  If the outcome is that there is nothing that can be done and fate takes its course, that’s understandable also.  However, if there is a chance that life can be saved, be sure to not waste any time and get to the emergency room as soon as you see a problem. Because you only get one chance! <3
