Rewatching episode 9x03 - I’m no Angel and I have some thoughts

these are the episodes that make this show and the Castiel’s character so very interesting. I’m disappointed they don’t do it more often.

Cas experiencing and coming to terms with Humanity on his own away from the influence of Winchesters is an interesting perspective.

Being homeless, having to decide whether to wash his clothes or steal someone else’s so he can eat (because he only have enough money to do one of those things), being hungry but not eating in favor of getting the tattoo that hides him from angels. These are the hard choices that humans make all the time.

Realizing how flawed and unfair the world is where ‘so much food is wasted when so many go hungry’ and yet seeing a homeless man share his food with him and April giving him her sandwich because she’s seen hard times too.

These contradictions and difficult choices are what make us Humans. That also make up for all the humanity’s sin. I’m just so emotional about Cas, an angel of the lord, finally seeing the humanity in all of its good and bad and realizing that it was worth every sacrifice he ever made for them.

I think s9 human Cas should’ve died for a little bit and actually made it to heaven and we should’ve gotten to see his very best memories, which consists of random peaceful moments in history mixed with the times spent with his friends, his chosen family, with his Dean. The main one being in purgatory. The liveliness of a day in a forest on earth that Castiel was tasked to guard thousands of years ago contrasted with the eerie silence of a night in purgatory watching over Dean while protecting him from the various beasts lurking around. The little moments of peace and happiness Cas was able to find in both situations that makes up parts of his heaven. And I think Dean should’ve seen said heaven and remembered how it was the night before Cas let go on that cliff in front of the portal and thought about how Cas never planned to keep that moment, that experience being with Dean that he’s just realizing Cas must’ve loved so much if it made it to his heaven. And how back then Cas wanted to die but now he’s actually dead. And I think Dean should’ve lost his shit a little.

Human Cas should have the worst enteroception know to man. He has no idea what it means to be human! How many times do you think he has (almost, or definitely) pissed himself because he had no idea that the pulling, heavy sensation in his abdomen meant he had to relieve himself? How many days has he gone without food because he had forgotten about it? How many headaches has he had because he doesn't know that humans need 2 liters of water (!) per day? Sure, he knows about humanity in a rational, theoric way, but do you think he has ever accidentally fallen asleep for 14 hours straight in the middle of the day because he was too busy the previous night to remember to lie down and count his sheep?

I think the Angel or Demon’s Vessel concept is kinda similar to parasite.

If it’s not a Sam, but an angel-Ezekiel who pretend to be a Sam, than Jared’s acting is just Goosebumps. Seriously, sooo AWESOME.

Hi hello please help solve a Supernatural mystery that has broken me and @drunknoah

The Official Supernatural calendar has a quote this month that says "Getting killed is something, all right". The actual quote in 9x03 by Sam is "Yeah I mean, I would think that getting killed is something" No 'all right' to be found. Googling the calender quote only brings up 5 results that are all Etsy etc stores with the same shirt/mug with that exact quote. I can't find any old script or promo or anything that has that quote. Did the calender get their quotes from an Etsy shop? It has BROKEN my BRAIN.
