Fernando 2012 Chair Lore (source: me)

So I've been thinking a lot about Fernando sitting in this particular chair in the Ferrari garage in 2012 for [redacted] reasons:

Originally I just wanted to find more pictures of it for reference, and then went down a rabbit hole of 2012 pictures, trying to figure out when exactly the chair came to be. There's so many pictures of him in it, and it's so funny to me to imagine them hauling this super villain chair all around the world for him. And so now I'm obsessed with the evolution of it:

Pre-Chair - Australia to Bahrain:

He just had this little stool, well I should say big because it somehow still manages makes him look small. Clearly not comfortable; to paraphrase @sweatyflytrap, it's not conducive to his inner Shakespeare villain monologues

The Chair Appears - Spain

He suddenly now has this, aforementioned, super villain chair. Several things, why is it like this. It looks like a sim chair almost ngl. And then the weird plexiglass support is confusing me, like where did they get that. It furthers my narrative they just had this chair that they couldn't put in a car so they put that clear bottom on it. Anyways yes good, now he has somewhere to brood

The Chair Evolves - Silverstone

So it occurs to me that I posted most of their lore on my OC blog (though a few posts on here have the story info) and honestly I think it's very important to note that the entire reason a guy from Florida is recruited to help defeat the demon lord isn't him as the hero. His younger brother (by about ten years younger) is the Chosen Hero and... not very good at it. So the goddess (Solei) who had selected the hero has to begrudgingly go back to earth and convince his older brother to help save her world.

(Also Reynold admits to Solei that "Sascha could never be a bad influence. He's the best impulse control I've ever had" and she really doesn't like to hear it. That's terrifying.)

#my characters #sascha is The demon lord and there is truly only one at a time #solei however is simply a goddess - not the only one of divinity #i dont actually know if thats been mentioned on either art blog lmao #also its not pictured here but reynold is recruited and only asks for one favor when in the other world (from solei)#he wants to be a woman while he helps his brother #she thinks its a weird flex but ok whatever buddy you can be a woman #and the logic is not him actually wanting to be one its just you see his younger brother finds it weird #to have a guy cling to him and dote on him like reynold does and said One Time WHY COULDNT YOU BE A SISTER THIS IS WEIRD #and so reynold is briefly rey for about a month before being held hostage by sascha and hes like... super polite #and asks her if she was cursed and so shes like uhhh what and he mentions looking at her gives him a headache #because the core and the outer appearance arent the same and he can revert her back to her original form if she wants #and she does so rey goes back to reynold which is very nice and reynold appreciates it #because honestly looking at rey in a mirror gives HIM a headache cause solei designed his appearance #and it was so bright thank you demon lord for giving the florida man his natural boring look back #also reynold will always carry sunglasses because solei can just appear and she is way too bright to deal with without eye protection #solei is not amused and thinks its basically slander against her godly appearance and reynold just smiles at her and tells her tough luck #he wants his vision for his new hot husband she can deal with a little insubordination #florida man begs for torture bc he can handle that and he knows it #is instead handed courtesy and manners and doesnt know what to do with it - quickly developing what he claims is NOT stockholm syndrome #solei and sascha quietly muttering about what that could possibly mean cause they dont know what this guy is talking about

#obv characters as im aware certain hermits do and do not actually need glasses irl lol #hermitcraft #also the vague 'medical reasons' in the light green row are:#to manage migraines (false & scar) + photosensitivity (tango) + protection from sun/light (hypno)#specifically i hc hypno as visually impaired to the point that corrective lenses in glasses wouldnt help so he wears sunglasses to avoid -#unintentionally exposing his eyes to direct light sources and causing damage #i also hc etho stress and scar as blind in one eye but similar situation where corrective lenses wont help hence why they're in other place #based on the needs of their 'good' (mostly functional) eye lol

THANK YOU i know people think he looks funny but i genuinely think hes so cute like that, randy's concept art of him is my absolute favorite so im trying to get more accurate to it when i draw him, he has such a unique face so its a little hard but im getting better at it!! am I the only one who thought "huh Aziraphale's weird" at the start of the Job minisode? especially when he realised he was talking to Crowley during his whole "begone!" monologue?? like- i lowkey went "he's wayyy more comfortable with crowley, and in an undistinguished way too, that's slightly ooc fam"

i don’t know why whenever i read chapter three i picture curly ringlets kenny from like 2009-10 but now i’m laughing hysterically that it was kenny from 2014-2016 my god

Akehaks noooo, the video in chapter 3 was at the end of their relationship as Kenny mentioned so it was somewhere around 2015 to 2016. Essentially, she caught him entering the bullet club and bailed before the cleaner persona could take over him fully.

But yeah it was 'I wear my sunglasses at night' Kenny (as my boyfriend calls the vibe of that phase). Hence the association with leather too. He was very much in a bad boy phase, you can see why it wouldn't work out.

#hhhhh tomorrow i have to drive to another uni to build a chamber #this morning i drove like 11min down the road and that was enough to dislodge me halfway outside my body #i just. hate driving so much. its so fucking stressful #and im also worried the chamber isnt gonna come together with what we have #and i dont wanna drive down there again #oh god. i need to chill out so i can sleep tonight #it just stresses me out so much. anytime i have to drive i just become absolutely certain that im gonna get into an accident #or that ill get distracted and cause a crash #why cant we have a working train system in this fucking country. i wanna go back to the uk. where its more manageable to not have a car #when i think abt driving my brain just sends me images of destruction #i also get it to a lesser extent when im a passenger #like i have to sit exactly as ur supposed to in a seat or else i just get horrible imaginings of my limbs being crushed or whatever #god. i just hate it so much. i have a fragile mind. i was not constructed with the mental fortitude to drive #at least i dont get so many intrusive thoughts abt like flipping rhe steering wheel anymore. bc that sucked #hopefully i dont show up in tears but usually i cry at least once when i have to drive someone #so im gonna look unhinged when i drop off all the equipment. whatever ill wear sunglasses #how is it possible some ppl enjoy driving? i dont understand. i dont want that kind of power in my hands #i dont trust myself not to get someone killed. like that's prob my ultimate fear. getting in a crash caused by my brain not being able to #focus and then i kill a happy family of 5 or something and i just have to live with it #it just makes me so upset. which is why ive been avoiding this for literally months.#ugh. whatever i have to do it. and then itll be over. as my mum would say: itll b good for me #i just have to freak out abt it for a while #unrelated

You all remember how when you were a kid you had like a little running man running alongside the car while you were on car rides? Well my guy was a skateboarder, and his name was Skate. Danny wears sunglasses 24/7.

So much so that slowly it's been ingrained into everyone's minds that he's never taken them off. Like, they can't even remember a time where he hasn't worn sunglasses.

It's just like, his thing.

Why does he wear them? Well, because Danny's previous blue eyes changed to a startling, glowing green that he knows the GIW would eat up and use as a reason to force him into their custody.

Solution?

Sunglasses.

His parents? Oh yea they went all in when he they found out why he was wearing them (Reveal gone right au babyy). They made them extremely durable; they can film audio, take pictures, take videos, see through walls and even track down ecto-signatures for whenever he's tracking down a ghost in human form, see through walls and self-cleaning.

(The ectoplasm tracking system is for when they aren't close enough to set off his ghost sense.)

He honestly believes his parents watched a spy movie before they built him these, but it's not like he's going to complain about it. The only time he isn't wearing them is when he goes ghost, you know as a way to not link him to Fenton or whatever.

So, Danny meets John Constantine while the both of them were on the hunt for a ghost who was causing problems in the area. Danny manages to find them first, the ghost in question being an animal who was terrorizing a place because it didn't understand the fact it was dead yet and wanted to protect it's children.

John Constantine comes while Danny is pacifying it. He watches as Danny calms it down enough to get to the babies and sends it to the Ghost Zone after promising it to get them somewhere safe.

John Constantine also saw his eyes, because he pulled his sunglasses off to show them to the ghost as a silent sign to trust him. John Constantine of course asked what he was going to do with the babies, and Danny just sent them over to Sam.

After that he decided to keep an eye on Danny because of his eyes. Which were the eyes of a ghost, and he was genuinely thinking Danny was possessed before that went out the window. So he thinks Danny is a ghost pretending to be human and wasn't able to hide his eyes so he wore sunglasses.

Danny neither confirm nor deny that.

So Danny just kinda followed him around until Constatine eventually made him into a contact whenever he was dealing with ghosts that he could peacefully deal with instead of just forcefully banishing them to the Infinite Realms.

This, eventually, comes to light when Constantine goes "I know a guy." In front of the whole Justice League, bonus points if they somehow come to the conclusion that Danny is Constantine's secret child, sidekick or both.
