Dream and Technoblade Fan Appreciation Analysis

This might seem like a random comparison to make but as a Technoblade stan and a psuedo Dream stan I have a lot of opinions. A lot of this analysis relates to twitter since that's where they do their fan interaction but you'll never catch me saying anything that matters on twitter so here I am. It's really interesting how both fanbases feel really appreciated by their respective content creators despite being treated very differently. Some of this is a little speculative so sorry about that.

[Fanart]

Technoblade interacts with fanart by liking and occasionally retweeting or replying in addition to using art as thumbnails. He was praised for how well he credited a piece he used in his 5 mil community post and is considering putting together a playlist of animatics together to help people discover those artists. He's very happy about having a community of artists and tries not to criticize any style (despite saying he preferred pig!Techno for thumbnails). He made an outro of fanart and put signs with credit for posters on the dsmp.

Dream is on twitter in a large part to interact with fans. He made a fanart account to promote artists and show his appreciation for fanart. He's done art competitions with prizes for profile pictures and did a big shoutout for vnzndt. He's done artist promotion threads and follows a lot of artistsnin the community. He doesn't use fanart much but when he does he tries to make it important and show how he values the artists involved.

[Other fans/stan interaction]

Technoblade lurks. People on twitter refer to him as having a "stalklist" of stan accounts. He also makes fun of his fans (in good humour) for being sad about stuff and caring about him. He's deliberately dodged the concept of openly supporting stans. In mcm5 he awkwardly sat their while Carson insulted his viewers. He seemed very relieved that it was xqc's viewers not his sending death threats to Carson indicating that he feels somewhat responsible for fans causing problems. In mcc7 he says something along the lines of "you may not like stans but you have to respect their military might". Aka he's aware of stans enough to not avoid them but doesn't want the hate of defending them.

Dream is on twitter as much to interact with artist fans as non artist fans. He created his private twitter just to have a random chance of interacting with fans. He's vocally defended stans in tweets and a video. He's active enough in the community to call out things he doesn't like including dsmp tweets being confused with tweets about the content creators and Addison Rae getting hate. He answers questions on twitter and responds to disapproval from his fanbase. He's verbally supportive of his fans in his streams and says how much he loves them on stream.

[Conclusion]

Dream goes out of his way to support his fans in twitter and Techno goes out of his way to support fanartists within his content. They're both very cool I just think it's funny how Technoblade can barely acknowledge us and we're so happy while Dream is creating his 7th twitter account to vibe with us for the same effect. There's not any real takeaway I just like to overthink these things.

@bellaskhakis nayana is the type to go from trashing edward relentlessly to simping for edward in 2 seconds. in real life she’s probably stressing over school but mentally she is in forks, wa in bella & edward’s lil cottage reading fanfiction. if u need recommendations, she’s got u. she’s a great listener & friend & her humor is like wonderfully chaotic. she’ll cry but then she’ll take that energy and drunk liveblog the twilight movies or buy a bunch of plants. if ur friends w her, she will send u all the funny tiktoks & that is LOVE. nay would think she would want to cliff dive but then need to talk herself into it while everyone else goes first and then realize she was the last person up there and freak out but then dive anyways

@leahclearwaterdefensesquad kate is so kind & one of my go to people for tag games, but kate is ALWAYS providing the leah content that we NEED. also the lesbian twilight ship moodboards and PLAYLISTS. i also really appreciate how kate & @vampireguarddogs are always some of the first blogs i see that boost a lot of important talking points related to the series on racism. bc if you’re going to be in this fandom, there’s a lot you need to make sure you’re educated on since this series is problematic. like we’re all here to be nostalgic and have fun but we can’t do that whilst ignoring relevant conversations. dee & kae also always have great takes in these discussions too!

Video Podcasts on Spotify

Spotify has launched something amazing this time. Now you can access music and video both on Spotify. Spotify has introduced the podcast feature in the application, and users loved it. And the most fantastic thing is it is for free! So even if you do not have the subscription, you can access its music and videos. Spotify provides a vast music streaming service, and introducing video podcasts on the platform adds more to it. The users can also listen as well as watch their favorite podcasts on Spotify.

The company announced the big launch on the 21st of July, 2020, and says that podcasts will be available on both mobile and desktops. But for now, only specific podcasts are available on the platform, and most podcasters will not be able to upload their footage. However, Spotify has had the video feature since early 2020. The users can access channels like MTV, Central Comedy, BBC, and others. So the podcast announcement is not that big but is exciting.

We all know that this was coming since May, Spotify declared the deal with Joe Rogan, one of the most popular podcasters. Joe Rogan is putting the video of his recent podcast on this platform, and it will be known as “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

Although most podcasters won’t release their podcast exclusively on Spotify, it will provide the creators with a platform to promote their work and allow flexibility on the distribution.

This updated feature would give YouTube a fair challenge. However, YouTube will still be the first choice for podcasters to gain profit. But since YouTube does not provide access to all the podcasts for free, users of YouTube need to get paid subscriptions to enjoy all the content; this will give an advantage to Spotify. Apart from that, the Spotify users can opt between the audio and video content. So if they keep the display off, they still listen to the podcasts while working on the other application.

Spotify has offered only a few podcasts to feature for now, including ‘Book of Basketball 2.0’, ‘Fantasy Footballers,’ ‘The Misfits Podcast,’ ‘H3 Podcast’, ‘The Morning Toast,’ ‘Higher Learning with Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay’ and the ‘Rooster Teeth Podcast.’ However, the team said this change as the “first version” indicates a lot that is to come.

Spotify is dealing with high-profile podcasts, including Warner Bros for DC Superhero. Then it landed a fantastic deal with Kim Kardashian, and also had booked a podcast deal with the TikTok star Addison Rae. Spotify has also tested video podcasts earlier with Zane Hijazi and Heath Hussar. So it has pretty great stuff to serve to its users, and it may also help to crack more negotiated deals.

How podcasts work on Spotify

Now let’s talk about how can one access the podcast on Spotify and how that will change the previous experience of using the application? If the user wants to watch a podcast, they can access them easily. They have to search for the podcast on the search bar. And when you find the right video, click on it. A page will open for the podcast. Click on the video to play. You can play it on both mobile phones or your desktop. Moreover, users can also use it by putting on sleep mode. Even if the phone is in sleep mode, the users can listen to the podcast, which is not available on YouTube’s free version. This feature will provide a user-friendly interface to its consumers.

What other features does Spotify provide?

Firstly, it gives a fundamental but useful search bar. Using the search bar, one can easily access any video or audio or musical albums and now podcasts, very effortlessly. To search one has to type the name of the album or artist, and then choose the content accordingly.

Playlist

To create your playlist, you have to follow a few elementary steps. They are as follows:

Play the kind of song or content or podcast you like to watch. While watching or after watching it, you can tap to the ‘Add to Playlist’ option.

Then tap on ‘Create’ to create a playlist. After tapping, enter the playlist name whatever you want on the option ‘Enter the Playlist name.’

Tap ‘Create’ to save it. Then you can later add more content to it by taping ‘Add to Playlist.’

Collaborate playlist

Spotify users can also collaborate with each other’s playlist. To do that, follow the given steps.

Tap on the library of Spotify.

Then click on the playlist. After that, you have to click on the collaborative playlist.

Then click on the share option, which will make the content available to your friends, and they can delete or add other content too.

Chromecast

To enjoy your video on the larger screen, you can also Chromecast the content on other devices. To Chromecast Spotify, the users need to follow the steps below:

Open Spotify on the device.

Ensure that the Chromecast device and Spotify are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Then play the video or audio you want to cast. Tap on the ‘Device Available’ option and search for the available device in the range.

And then select to cast the content on the device.

Download

Spotify allows its users to download their favorite content offline so that they can enjoy it whenever they want to, without thinking about the availability of the internet.

The following steps will guide you through.

Tap on the library.

Then a page will open with different content.

Select the music or playlist or podcast. Then tap on the ↓ (down arrow) sign to start downloading the material.

Then you can easily access the content anywhere and anytime without the internet.

These are the few features Spotify users can utilize and enjoy their content. Spotify is a fantastic application to use and is also very popular among its users, and every day new users are also getting connected with Spotify. The latest podcast version is soon going to take its place in the market, and it will also help the brand grow and land some great deals in the future. However, the video podcast version is still not available everywhere. Overall, the podcast feature appears to be an exciting thing in Spotify’s current offering.

I am also really excited to be hitting the road from April-June in support of the EP release. I will be traveling through the mid west, Europe, and the West coast. I’ve also got a music video in the works as well which should be a great time!

This song is the opening track to my album, "Soul In Exile 3: Love Runs Aground," and it is a frank exploration of how a relationship or marriage disintegrates from the inside out, couched in the imagery of a legendary old building on the Asbury Park boardwalk crumbling by itself. It starts off sounding like a piano-and-voice ballad but the lyrics soon turn pointed and are underpinned by organ, drums, bass, and especially guitar. Anyone who has been through the demise of an intense, sustained relationship will be able to relate. Be forewarned, though - this is NOT a simple three-minute pop gem - it is pure album rock, the way it was once made in the golden era.

The music we are creating is... This song keeps the album in the public consciousness, for those who seek this type of music. THE HESH INC.'s musical mission is to keep the album-rock epic alive during a time when trends have gone elsewhere.

Right now we are... Working on our next EP. C Wired has more than enough material to record a full-length album, but both he and producer Addison Smith are really comfortable with more frequent releasees every 3-6 months utilizing the 6 song EP format. It’s more in tune with the way we consume and listen to music today anyways. Most people are not taking the time to listen to an entire album. They select the one or two songs they like and add them to their playlist. Working on getting booked for European and US based tours, festivals, etc.

This song is... Daft Punk inspired; I made the beat and recorded this song with LS at our studio 5 years ago. Unfortunately, I never released the song due to fear. I am mostly a Hip Hop Producer I helped dozens create their own sound but yet I never really created my own, so I was afraid that people would simply hate the song because it is so different. The song was inspired by a long distance relationship I had with my girlfriend which is now my fiancé. The song is about a guy that is in love with a woman and he becomes this super fan that has many pictures of her. The whole song is about this delusional guy talking to a photograph.

The music we are creating is... This release is important to me because it's unique and it's different than what I usually do. It brings out my skills as a music producer. It shows that I can step out my comfort zone which is hip hop and still create a banger that I cater to every generation.

Right now we are... Right I'm working on the video for the song FotoLove. I'm also recording for my upcoming album which will be a compilation album that will Produce.

This song is... "Tempted to Abuse" is Heavy Metal song with a strong blend of Hard Rock. Tempted to Abused stands out due its organic sound, the straight songwriting and the unadorned and open-minded lyrics. The song comes along with a genuine and driving Heavy Metal sound, easy recognizable roots in Hard Rock and an in-your-face attitude.

The music we are creating is... "Tempted to Abuse" is the title track of the last released EP. The EP Tempted to Abuse (Label: M71) features four brand new kickass songs and was released on 27th April 2018.

Right now we are.. The band actually works on new material and plans several concerts. Houndwolf just started to work together with the All Metal Agency.
