Now that I unmask more and stim more and more with every day I wonder how the hell did I expend so long stimming subtly or not at all, that wasn't sustainable in the long run. No wonder why I was always so tired and on edge.
I love my tangle toy, I even use it while talking in public or during an oral presentation if needed. Also I do this thing where I clap my hands but I keep my fingers pressed together and clap with the lower part of my palms, it makes a really nice pop sound.
Not a fan of flapping my hands, it makes my wrists hurt because I expend a lot of time drawing, but I love doing the counting fingers thing, touching my thumb with my other fingers one at a time in a quick motion feels really soothing.

So apprently me cracking my finger knuckles is actually Stimming and now I'm looking for a Stimming toy to substitue for constantly cracking my knuckles (which is propably not healthy in the long run.
If anyone of you has any tips. Feel free to comment or send me a Message.
I've so far saw the Ono Roller and therapy putty. Which might be an option.

I wanna get some decent fidget toys for my daughter for Christmas, but I have no idea where best to find them. So I figured, I'd ask Tumblr At Large in hope for some good tips.
She chews her nails, so something to bite on would be good, preferably some kind of charm that can be worn around the neck. She also picks at her nail beds a lot, so anything to keep her fingers otherwise occupied would be great, too. She likes squishy things.
I'm sure there are good websites selling these kinds of things, but my ADHD makes researching these things kind of exhausting, so I'd be really grateful to anyone reaching out with some helpful info.
Also, we're in Europe, so sites shipping within the EU would be best.
Thanks so much if you've got anything for me, I really appreciate it!!

I think my most toxic trait is that I don't correct people when they make the absolute most wrong assumption about me or they just don't notice something that is incredibly obvious of me.
Like, a month ago someone told me "are you versed on the topic? Did you research about autism?", and my autistic ass, finding that insanely funny, kept a straight face and said "I happen to know a thing or two".
I was literally holding one of these baddies:

Stim toys are not a tool for autistic people to make stims less annoying for neurotypicals. I'm tired of my teachers coming to tell me to grab my stress ball as soon as I move an arm or a leg. I need to make large movements and these stims cannot be replaced by more discreet ones. Stim toys are undoubtedly useful for some autistic people but not for all, and they are not made for the comfort of neurotypicals.
