Medical side of tumblr I need your help

Maybe there’s no point but I duckduckgoed my symptoms and didn’t get any solid conclusion as to what do I even do now so I’m here and hoping someone in the medical field can help me out

My sternum has hurt when I touch it for as long as I can remember, and a doctor checked it a couple of years ago saying it’s not supposed to hurt when I touch it. I don’t remember what we did about it after that because I’d primarily gone for my breast pain and we had an ultrasound that came up completely clean.

So it usually hurts but today and yesterday it’s been hurting more, and even when I’m not touching it. It’s getting painful to breathe deeply and swallow food when it goes past the top of my chest. I haven’t been in any physical accidents, the most vigorous physical workout I can get myself to do is go for walks in the early morning to the park. I have a history of pneumonia and rib injury.

I have chronic pain in lots of parts of my body and the best the doctors could come up with is it’s because of my depression slash mental health, because there seems to be nothing physically wrong with me. I’ve had blood tests and everything is normal. My parents think the sternum pain might also be because of my mental health but to me it feels different, it feels more like there’s a physical issue and I can’t describe why it feels that way.

Should I go see a doctor or will it hopefully go away soon? Thanks medical/science side
