More misc. daily life pictures and such
#image commentary in tags once again since they don't allow captions anymore and I feel weird using the alt text for that --#1 & 2 - Very bright pretty looking sky !#2. HUGE icicle that looked like you could kill someone with it or something.. Pulled from near a gutter on the side of a building#3. & 4 & 5 - various images from a silly party I had where I pretended to be some elf king turning like 204 years old lol (also not like#a REAL party. Only my roommates were there really and we're all in the same household bubble.#just to clarify. I would never dare have a large party anyway given#my hermitous nature but on top of that.. didn't want there to be some implication that I'm having a Party while covid is still ongoing lol.#NEVER.. But I do love dressing up as some fantasy character so much.. The only thing that could ever bring a true hermit wizard#to engage with others socially is the prospect of connecting it somehow to fantasy worlds and costumes lol. One must simply dress up#as a silly 200 year old man from time to time and pretend you've never seen a balloon before in your life. etc.#6. bapy boye... feets#7. The main food that I made for the elderly elf man 'party'. which was a Deconstructed Beef Wellington (kind of as ajoke since I watch s#o many silly cooking competition shows and they always make stuff 'deconstructed' at the last minute when under time limits or whatever.)#I've wanted to make beef wellington a few times but Ithink to do it well I'd need like..an actual kitchen and a lot of time and#an oven that fully works to bake things and etc. etc. So I thought this would be an easier method. A thick steak cut round to kind of mimi#c the round tenderloin or whatever it is in a wellington. instead of the puff pastry being wrapped around - I just did star shaped cut outs#of pastry and baked them and put them on top (to go with the star theme). instead of mushroom duxelles being wrapped around in pastry#its in a little circle under the steak. and instead of mustard being brushed onto the meat I made a mustard gravy sauce type of thing#Then of course asparagus on the side.. my favorite... Though I know some wellington#also has a layer of prosciutto I think. or I saw one person use crepes. I didn't feel it was necessary to incorporate that too lol#8. bapy son helping me do a giant puzzle that took me hours and I had no idea it was actually that large of a puzzle#until I started putting it together and for some reason it made me stressed by the end instead of relaxed lol.. puzzle fatigue#photo diary

people will literally see a post of (supposedly) character or story analysis, and if it sounds fancy enough or uses enough big words they’ll just be like “yes omg EXACTLY” and hit reblog, and they’ll even call it gender studies or queer studies or whatever the fuck. because they feel like it’s automatically enlightened insight.
and so then you have posts that go around and get hundreds of notes but if you look closely it’s like… this is salad. just pure word salad. absolutely nonsensical. and you’re like, what the fuck is going on.
just because something sounds like a brand new genius insight doesn’t mean it actually is. you can and should, in fact, (internally) call bullshit by utilizing your own critical thinking skills because tbqh sometimes people using fancy buzzwords are actually NOT making significant points

Y'all ever go to try to write a slightly poetic, kinda evocative post about your deepest desires and what would fix you and then get all the way to "Philly cheese steak" before realizing most of it is food and you're just hungry? And then the rest of it is just wanting to be crushed by the weight of another pers-- who said that???

Steak Dinner Delights: Crafting the Perfect Sides to Match Your Meal
Steak Dinner Delights: Crafting the Perfect Sides to Match Your Meal
Crafting the perfect steak dinner at restaurants in Harbor View Suffolk isn't just about the main event—it's about creating a complete culinary experience that delights the senses from start to finish. And what better way to enhance your meal than with thoughtfully crafted side dishes that perfectly complement your steak?
Start by considering the flavor profile of your steak. Is it rich and savory? Then perhaps a side of creamy mashed potatoes or buttery roasted mushrooms would be the ideal match. Or maybe your steak is bursting with bold, spicy flavors—in that case, cooling accompaniments like a crisp cucumber salad or tangy coleslaw could provide a refreshing contrast.
But don't stop there. The texture of your sides can also play a crucial role in enhancing your dining experience. A crispy, golden-brown potato gratin or a fluffy, buttery biscuit can add layers of indulgence to your meal, while a light and refreshing citrus-infused salad can provide a palate-cleansing interlude between bites of steak.
With a little creativity and attention to detail, you can create a symphony of flavors and textures that elevate your steak dinner from satisfying to sublime. So next time you're planning a special meal, don't overlook the importance of crafting the perfect sides to match your steak.
Consider incorporating seasonal ingredients to add freshness and variety to your meal, or experiment with different cooking techniques to bring out the best in your chosen sides. Whether you opt for classic favorites or innovative creations, the key is to tailor your sides to complement the flavors of your steak and enhance the overall dining experience. With a well-rounded selection of sides, your steak dinner is sure to be a hit with family and friends alike.

Savor the Sizzle: Exploring Wood Varieties for Perfectly Grilled Steak
At steak restaurants in Suffolk VA, are you prepared to elevate your steak grilling skills? Bid farewell to dull and uninspired steaks and greet a realm of flavor with wood-infused grilling. Through delving into various wood varieties, you can unveil a whole new dimension of taste that will tantalize your palate with every bite.
Let's dive into the world of wood flavors and discover how each variety can elevate your grilled steak experience. Oak, with its classic smoky flavor and medium intensity, provides a solid foundation for any steak dish. Whether you're grilling ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon, oak wood adds depth and complexity that will have you savoring every mouthful.
For those who prefer a more intense flavor profile, mesquite wood is the way to go. Its bold and robust smoke imparts a distinctive taste with a hint of sweetness, creating a flavor explosion that will leave your taste buds tingling. Mesquite is perfect for hearty cuts of beef like T-bone or porterhouse, adding a touch of Southwestern flair to your grilling repertoire.
If you're looking for something a bit more subtle, cherry wood is an excellent choice. Cherry wood offers a delicate sweetness and fruity aroma that enhances the natural flavors of the steak without overpowering them. It's perfect for lighter cuts of meat like flank steak or skirt steak, adding a hint of sweetness that will keep you coming back for more.
But why stop there? Experiment with other wood varieties like hickory, apple, or pecan to create your own signature flavor combinations. With a bit of creativity and a willingness to explore, you can savor the sizzle of perfectly grilled steak infused with the irresistible flavors of wood. So, fire up the grill, grab your favorite wood chips or chunks, and get ready to indulge in a culinary experience like no other!

Are you tired of the same old grilled steak taste at steak restaurants in Suffolk VA? It's time to take your grilling game to the next level by exploring the diverse world of wood flavors. Each type of wood brings its unique essence to your steak, creating a symphony of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds and impress your guests. Next time you're craving a delicious steak in Suffolk, VA, seek out restaurants that embrace the art of wood-infused grilling. Your taste buds will thank you!
Let's start with oak, a classic choice for grilling steak. Oak wood provides a robust and smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with red meat. Its medium intensity allows the natural flavors of the steak to shine through while infusing it with a rich, earthy aroma.
For those who prefer a bolder flavor, mesquite wood is the way to go. Mesquite imparts a strong, slightly sweet flavor with hints of spice, adding depth and complexity to your steak. Its intense smoke can quickly infuse your meat, so be sure to monitor your grill carefully to avoid overpowering the steak.
If you're looking for a more subtle option, cherry wood is an excellent choice. Cherry wood offers a delicate sweetness and fruity undertones that complement the natural flavors of the steak without overpowering them. It's perfect for those who enjoy a milder smoke flavor with a hint of sweetness.
But why stop there? Experiment with other wood varieties like hickory, apple, or pecan to discover your favorite flavor combination. Remember to soak your wood chips or chunks before grilling to prevent them from burning too quickly and to ensure a steady release of smoke.
With the right wood choice, you can elevate your grilled steak to new heights of flavor. So, go ahead, unlock the secret flavors of wood grilling and impress your friends and family with your culinary prowess!
