cold nights and warms hug - choi seungcheol

the temperature this week had dropped. it was cold. the monsoon season was setting in, which meant that the nights would now be cold. these days the sun was always found hidden behind grey gloomy clouds, threatening to burst with rain any moment. i layered up, wearing a long sleeve shirt and pajamas, along with the softest fuzzy socks as i went to bed.

i stirred in my deep sleep as the cold hanging in the midnight air woke me up, making a shiver run down my spine as i curled into a ball, hoping to find some sort of warmth. even though i was under a thick blanket, it didn't seem to be helping much, the cold somehow managing to seep through the fabric, making me tremble.

i had always been sensitive to the cold, hands easily turning to ice whenever the weather turned cold. and it was always seungcheol's job to warm up my hands whenever. "your hands are like ice", he'd pout as he held them, rubbing them gently to warm them up. or sometimes he'd even hold my hands, putting them into his pocket, which was just super adorable and sweet of him. i think he just liked that he had an excuse to hold my hand but who was i to complain.

i turned as i opened my eyes ever so slightly, and i moved my body closer to seungcheol. and it was like he knew, his hands slowly moving to pull me into him till he was engulfing me. and warmth, oh the warmth that spread across my body made me sigh in contentment as i snuggled closer into him.

"feeling cold?", he mummers sleepily.

"hmm", i reply, eyes closed.

"want me to fetch a hoodie for you?', he asks, shifting a bit so he could get up.

"no it's-", but before i could complete the sentence he gets up, all the warmth leaving me. a frown is now etched on my face as i look at his figure, which now sits on the bed. he doesn't need to turn on the light to know that i was pouting as he chuckles ever so softly.

i hear his feet shuffle as he goes towards the other end of the room to fetch the hoodie. feeling the bed dip again, he passes the hoodie to me and i put it on, grateful.

"thank you cheol", i say because i feel a bit bad for waking him up because of this. "sorry if i disturbed you", i quickly mumble a small apology.

but he doesn't say anything as he just pulls me into him once again, the familiar comfort and warmth radiating all over my body as he tucks us both in the blanket, his arms wrapped around me

"shh it's okay baby", he whispers, placing the softest kiss to my temple, the warmth from his lips lingering there for a bit. and just like that, we both fall asleep in each other's warmth, embraced in each other's arms <3

Summer Should Have Record Heat in Most of Brazil

Effects of El Niño may increase resulting in warmer oceans and changes in wind circulation

The combination of the record heat in the oceans recorded in August with the likely continuation of El Niño until March 2024 points to a summer with unprecedented highs in Brazil.

However, the arrival of warm weather in the country should not be delayed until the start of the season, on December 22nd. In addition to heat waves that started at the end of winter, meteorological forecasts, such as those from Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology), indicate that temperature records could be recorded in spring.

Experts also say that the rains that hit the South should gain strength with El Niño, especially in December, which will also bring hotter and drier weather to the North and Northeast.

So, summer updates are coming out much slower and I'm sorry about that. I'm halfway through the next chapter though, and I'm getting back into it! I'd also like to practice with digital art more, so I'd love some suggestions from you guys! I want to try out some new techniques, so I'd love some ideas of characters doing stuff <3
