Found a new shield surfing spot that ends with some really choice scenery 👌🔥

After Ingo returns from his time in Hisui and regains his memories he eventually goes back to working at the Subway. Soon after the tag of Subwayspotting or Ingospotting pops up, where random commuters spot Ingo just hanging out on top of things. (No one can convince me he is the Warden of a climbing Pokémon and doesn’t pick up climbing himself out of necessity).

The first true winner of this is a hobby photographer who by chance catches Ingo sleeping on top of the Gearstation building. People who actually catch him doing his parkour get extra points. Also Extra points if Emmet is in the picture but hasn’t noticed, but varying levels depending on how suspicious Emmet looks of the situation.

Eventually Emmet joins via his believed to be abandoned socials, but it’s just his gloved hand flipping Ingo off who is in inaccessible to public (and unreachable to Emmet) places within the subway.

I think my takeaway with risk of rain remake is that it's a much more polished version of the first game, and pretty much everything they added is great, and it's really good in general... but man. I really like the second game more

it's all in the movement, yknow?

#like everything you do in 1 feels really sluggish and you're barely ever able to outmaneuver anything #unless you command artifact your way into 3 red whips 8 goat hooves and 4 hopoo feathers #and even then you're still pretty limited in how you can actually traverse the maps #but in 2 most characters feel like they start pretty mobile and there's a lot of character specific movement tech to play around with #plus there's weird surfing physics and stuff

The great thing about pokemon cards is that if you're showing them to someone who doesn't like/care/or know about them you can just say "the contents of this binder are potentially worth hundreds of dollars" and now they are suddenly interested. They don't gotta know that I just love the little pictures and like filling in catalogues.

Watching Freedom Writers still hit as bloody hard as it did when I was 16 and lonely as hell. I may have watched it a dozen times, but I still cry just as hard as I did back then. When they meet the Holocaust survivors and read Anne Frank's diary, when they read their own journals, when they become friends and start helping each other, when Miss G keeps fighting day in and day out to get her kids listened to and respected, when Eva goes through her breakdown... I cry so much. This movie, this story, these real people, they are powerful and important, a lesson that must be remembered always: the power of culture, the power of education, the power of solidarity, communication, exchange and compassion.
