i adore your takes on stalia and i agree with all of them. stiles was completely and utterly in love with malia. their bond was just too strong to ignore and downplay as hard as so many in the fandom do. malia would love stiles for the smallest of things, appreciate and adore him every time they’re together, something stiles wasn’t used to and was always surprised knowing he’s someone’s priority, to have someone that he knows loves him so much and is so dearly loyal to him the way he was to her. I can talk about each and every one of their scenes for hours because one line has so much deeper meaning in it always when you look through its context. stiles would get mistreated and judged, he had to be the coolest guy to even get lydia’s attention. when stiles approached her wanting to get to know each other better she wasn’t even listening and rudely said “is it worth repeating?” meanwhile malia would go out of her way to notice what’s wrong with him after the donovan incident and he would just not say anything because he was so afraid of judgment. so afraid that he would lose the ones he love when malia had made it clear she would never judge him ever since they first properly met at eichen house. “i won’t judge, promise.” to malia saying “it didn’t matter to me, that’s why i never said anything.” malia knew when stiles didn’t answer her question about his shoulder that he needed time alone and wasn’t ready to open up, and she gave him that. stiles in 5.01 says how constantly gets anxious
and begins to open up about his issue after she was worried first and reached out to ask him and listen to him again. she highlights how stiles thinks stuff “obsessively” and that means she knew him too well. and was always there whenever he needed that support. malia understood after he he spoke about his dad losing contact to everyone from high school that that’s the reason he wanted everyone together that day, “because you don’t wanna lose all your friends after senior year.” says malia and stiles responds with “and i hope they don’t wanna lose me either.” referring to malia specifically at that point because malia smiles and they kiss. he said “what if scott is my best friend now, but he’s not my best friend for life.” stiles straight up said he wanted malia in his life as his girlfriend. like literally forever. and malia wanted that as well.
that cure scene in 4.11 where malia noticed how stiles was helping her looking for her biological mother, in his board written “who is the desert wolf?” and the second she did she flipped him waking him up in the cutest way, stiles thought she would probably mind him not brush his teeth but she didn’t. and the look on his face when she said she didn’t care is so precious, he is shocked she would say that, like asking her “really?” and then his soft smile before they kiss again, they’re just always so sweet and gentle with each other. there are so so many more scenes of theirs i can mention that shows just how effortlessly in love stiles was with malia. they deserved that endgame. s6 is awful, which is glad it flopped, the ratings are embarrassingly low and for a reason. people can tell when something is forced. and both dylan and shelley were disappointed by how stalia broke up and wished both for them to stay together forever.
I am SO sorry for not answering, I swear I thought I did! But yes, you're right on all accounts!
He had absolute trust in her, seen when he stayed with her on the full moon when her chains broke. He was her anchor, he brought her back. And he knew she was strong enough to control her shift. And just that scene. Like she, indirectly of course because it wasn't her fault she was just a small child, caused her mom and sister to die because she couldn't control her shift. And she was terrified of that happening again and Stiles heard that, validated her, but still stayed because he KNEW she was strong enough and wouldn't hurt him.
He couldn't even sleep without her! Stiles went through A Lot. He has lots of trauma himself and she helped him feel safe enough to sleep. That's why the position of her spooning him was the only one he could get comfortable in. Stiles took care of a lot because of his love for Scott, but he really didn't have anyone taking care of him. Now a lot of that was because he didn't open up (and in Scott's defense, I'm a Scott McCall stan first lol, he had like so so much going on himself, it makes sense he wasn't really able to keep up with everyone, though he also tried) but Malia kinda saw through that. Like I don't even know if she realized what she offered Stiles, but she was def his safe space. The sleeping scene showed that. And he was her safe space, as established by the chain breaking full moon scene.
Like S5 started and he flat out said his life plans included being with Malia. That was "the plan" and that's when Malia was like "I love the plan, especially cause I'm in it!" Like how Allison planned to be with Scott past college, Stiles planned being with Malia.
For the absolute life of me I don't understand why they broke them up. And not just broke them up, but in such a bullshit way. Like the breakup scene wasn't even a breakup scene? It wasn't mentioned at all that they were done. Even Shelley had to be told "oh yeah y'all broke up" and she was like ...umm did I act that scene out? Which means it wasn't even explicitly clear in the script, ffs. But they still had to me tied. Malia's bio mom legit went after Stiles cause she knew that was how to get to Malia. And then Stiles flat out attacked her trying to help Malia when she was fighting with her mom. Like they were still very much each other's person!
I didn't watch S6. I watched 601 and that was it. I did notice how they literally had Malia in Stiles's clothes in 601 and still had him do the "i love you" to Lydia and was like???
I said, since S2, that if they ever put Stiles and Lydia together I was out. And when that happened, I was out. Which still pisses me off because I genuinely love this show. I own S1-5 on DVD! I didn't even really keep up with it on tumblr back then. I would occasionally check the tag but everything I heard was so outlandish, not even just Stalia related, that I was just like "well this show only had 5 seasons, such a shame it was cancelled after only 5 seasons." I didn't even know the ratings were THAT BAD until like right before the movie came out. And I let out a hearty chuckle when I found that out. Couldn't even clear 500k viewers.
And what you said about Dylan is so true! He was always like "I think Malia's it for Stiles." "Stiles loves Malia." "Stiles should end up with Malia." "I still love Stiles and Malia together." And Shelley also thought they should be together. She's dropped the "coyotes mate for life" line. And fun fact, Holland didn't like Stiles and Lydia either. No one wanted that ship except people that wouldn't move on from S1/2!Stiles. And not even those seasons!Lydia cause she could not have cared less about Stiles then. They were never even close! Never! It made no sense! lol
Anyway. Yes. I agree with you on how Stalia was IT. And it made no sense to throw that away for ratings, they were never going to get.

I became a huge Sterek fan because the fics were great, but I admit to never watching the show or the movie since I heard the show was a mess and the movie was worse. So do you remember how the show treated Stydia,Stalia,& Draeden? because that is how a fandom becomes toxic is multiple ships. And it's jarring how Sterek writers have leagues better writing quality than the actual show writers so I totally understand why you guys didn't trust the show to develop this relationship. And I'm cackling at how Jeff let a mostly non canon ship get under his skin.
Absolutely. I used to be furious that Jeff refused to do Sterek in canon, and while it still irks me that Jeff (a gay man) clearly prioritizes heterosexuality and heterosexual relationships, I think the fandom collectively came to feel lucky that Jeff didn’t make Sterek canon.
Jeff’s track record with relationships in the show is that he ruins them. And intentionally, too. He clearly gets bothered when fans don’t focus on what he deems important, so he tries to ruin the things that they do focus on (ie. The ships). Not even the heterosexual ships that he apparently loves sooooooo much are safe from being ruined.
But Sterek shippers actually love Sterek, which is why the writing for them is so well done in fic. And it’s the reason why Sterek survived Jeff’s attempt to destroy it & why it survived the show’s run. I don’t think he was expecting fans to continue rallying around Sterek after he purposely kept Stiles & Derek from interacting in the show. And then Hoechlin left. And then Dylan left. Yet Stereks continued to ship it.
In my opinion, trying so hard to dismantle Sterek is what ended up destroying Jeff’s show. Not just his show, but his image as a showrunner. Before fans started to notice his Queerbaiting tendencies, fans actually loved him. Myself included. And we praised his writing and his work. Him putting more time and effort into trying to destroy a non-canon ship left him no time and energy to actually write decent seasons. And so look at those ratings immediately start to fall beginning with S4 (the same time he turned against Sterek).
In a way, I don’t think he’s been able to get over the error of his choice because he still tries to tease Sterek fans in odd moves. He oddly chose to bring Sterek back for the series finale. And he oddly chose to write the whole thing about Derek having “complicated feelings” about Stiles’ jeep, while also writing Eli to be like Stiles.
He either wants fans to forgive him or he thinks he’s being funny. But in reality, it just gives Sterek fans more things to write about in their fics. He should have just manned up and apologized back when it mattered.

A note on Stydia
I think a lot of Stydia shippers consider Stydia to have the perfect build and development and they very perfectly grew to become a couple. But that's not true, Stydia is far from perfect. Stiles' interactions with her start off slightly creepy, which he does grow out of thank god. Season 2 is pretty nice in terms of Stydia, I feel like Stiles had a bit of closure when Lydia confessed her love for Jackson and everything. Season 3 was also pretty good, we saw them get closer. However, Season 4 kinda puts them on standstill. Lydia is mostly isolated this season and doesn't really work. Its fun to see her figure out her powers but its even better when there are other people. Season 5 is also a weird case, especially the first half. There is barely any Stydia interaction and I think it would have been nice to see them as good friends before moving to the second half. I'm a sucker for the Stydia scenes in 5B. But by then I was getting kinda tired of seeing Lydia in a hospital bed, like she is in the hospital three times this season like why. I love season 6A, it was nice to see Lydia's perspective on their relationship but it would have been more organic if they had built the two of them up as friends better. I have the same problem with Anne and Gilbert in s3 of Anne with an E. Seeing them as good friends would have made their final getting together that much better. Ahh I still love their kiss though its amazing.
So, Stydia is not perfect but it is the best developed ship on the show. By far. Like a lot. Scallison was basically love at first sight, which is fine but a bit boring. Scira was also like that a bit, with a little more build-up but eh. Stalia was absolutely adorable when they were together and they were exactly the kind of person the other needed at that point. Though we can agree that they had zero build-up but that was fine. It kinda worked. I did not think they would last but I hated how their break-up was handled. Stydia shippers who hate on Malia are brainless. Malia must be protected but she could probably do that herself. Plus I kinda shipped Malia and Kira, their personalities would clash in fun and amusing ways. Like when literal I-have-been-a-coyote-for-8-years Malia has to teach Kira how to relax in a social setting. I always felt like the writers never knew what to do with her after s4.
Sterek confuses me. I started Teen Wolf because of Sterek but I was extremely confused while watching. I had heard a lot about how Sterek was queer-baiting and stuff but honestly? No. Maybe outside of the show, the creators and cast definitely baited the audience but in the show itself? Absolutely not. Those two barely have positive interactions anytime during the show, its either a dream-sequence or a flash-back like what. Plus I find it very disturbing that people started shipping them when Stiles was 15 and Derek was a full-grown adult. Honestly even if he was 19 it would still feel iffy. It is not homophobic to not like Sterek. If you do then good for you! But I don't think you can say that it has any strong basis in the show itself. It is completely a fanon ship and I am honestly surprised that it even became so popular. It's like Zukka in a sense, not hinted at in the show but people still love it. Except I actually like Zukka.
Ultimately I think Stydia is the best written ship simply because it doesn't really have any competition. In a show that is not very good at handling relationships, Stydia stands out for being built off trust, a long friendship and mutual respect. Ig people who ship Sciles could probably say the same though. The show literally ran on Stallision, Stydia and Sciles and nothing else.

That is an excellent question and I just want to thank you for giving me the chance to rant about Teen Wolf and stuff because it really gives me motivation to write!!
TW: Before I go on, I know the fandom can be sensitive about ships, so let me make it clear for anyone who comes across this, this is just MY opinion. This is not fact, this is not hate, this is just ships that I don't personally get and why I don't get them. If anyone wants to have a civil, rational discussion about any of this, you're free too. I am a flexible person, so I like to rationalise and understand my perspectives and other people's perspectives. I'm all for respecting others (unless of course, others are spreading hate or toxicity).
Teen Wolf Ships I Don't Get (Just My Opinion, Don't Hate Me)
Stiles Stilinski x Peter Hale
I kind of understand how people came to ship it. The two have great banter, witty moments and interactions, especially in Season 1 and Season 3a. Season 6a, they were stuck in the Ghost Rider's train station so that was bound to get everyone in love with the Forced Proximity trope hot under the collar. Not to mention Peter is hot.
Things that don't engage me about this ship:
Peter is old enough to be Stiles' dad.
Stiles is a teenager for a good portion of the show (16 - 18) and Peter is in his 40s.
Peter is Malia's father, who Stiles canonically dates.
Maybe if I saw more fics where Stiles was out of highschool before he was paired with an older man, than maybe I could enjoy it but I can't.
Another thing that I don't get is why Stiles is constantly positioned as a timid, damsel in distress to Peter's big bad wolf?
One of the things I love about Stiles as a character is that he might be in the most terrifying situation, but he's anything but timid. He'll verbally kick the ass of every single Teen Wolf big bad and that's like erased in fanon when he's suddenly next to a big bad wolf?
Additionally, the narrative that Peter is the rescuer to help empanicpate Stiles from his supposed abuser and villain, Scott, doesn't really make sense to me but that applies to almost every single Stiles x villain pairing so…
Scott McCall x Malia Tate
Look, their sexual chemistry was pretty good, all thing considering. It just that Scalia had no romantic build up. To me, when I was watching Teen Wolf, it came out of nowhere with no hints of anything between them prior to Season 6b.
There was not a strong relationship between them besides friendship and packmates before Season 6b. I guess you could count him being the one to turn her back to human in Season 3a as a form of connection, but to me this only meant that she became part of his pack.
Maybe if their relationship had grown from that moment in 3a instead of Stalia's (which didn't have so much as chemistry but a fantastic build up and plotline), then maybe I would be able to understand it and even enjoy it.
Honestly though, after Allison, Scott's best canonical relationship was with Kira, who matched him well in both personality, development and storyline. Ironically enough, my favourite Malia ship is also with Kira. I just love Kira, guys.
I think there are some ships that are better platonic, and I especially find Scott and Malia's relationship lacking in fics where they just come off as stoic co-leaders rather than actual romantic partners.
Jordan Parrish x Lydia Martin
I understand that from a narrative standpoint, their connection as Hellhound and Banshee would obviously leave them with some sort of tension and that would have probably engaged me if their human identities were completely different.
Specifically, if Parrish was not, say, 24, a grown man, and a police officer. Whereas, Lydia is, what, 17-18 Season 4-5a, but still a teenage girl in highschool.
The power imbalance between their human identities is just off-putting, and if there's one thing about me that you should know it's that I can't ship two characters who are not equals in someway or another. It's not as bad as Stiles and Peter, but any young girl getting into a relationship with a man in position of authority just isn't my cup of tea. If there's a huge disreprency in respect, age, trust, power or authority, than it just puts me off.
Maybe if their connection was approached differently from on the show? If anyone knows fics that could help me acclimate this ship, that would be great?

My opinion on the (Best) Friends to Lovers Trope:
When done right, I love this trope. However, I do not automatically ship friends to lovers. It depends on the situation:
If it’s mutual pining, I ship it (Fiona & Imogen from Degrassi, Katara and Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender). Or, if one person has a crush but accepts rejection, or is supportive of their friend dating someone else (MJ & Peter in the first SpiderMan, Betty/Archie from Riverdale. Both ships became mutual pining too - also Fiona when Imogen dated Eli), then I’ll ship it, or enjoy it as a friendship.
But if the person with a crush responds to rejection with anger, or is pissed off when they see their friend with someone else, I get whiny/entitled/possessive “friend zone” vibes and won’t ship it. (Incel/ Nice Guy^tm vibes. Even if I like the character as a person)
-In Teen Wolf, Stiles was a good example of how to handle rejection, but I enjoyed their friendship and loved Stalia a lot so it was hard for me to appreciate stydia. So I don’t ship them, but I don’t have as strong negative feelings about it as these ships:
-Zig/Maya on Degrassi - especially in season 13 when he was pissed at her for dating Miles, although they are cute in the last season of Next Class
-Jane/Rafael from Jane the Virgin (later seasons) - I wanted to like them, but Raf trying to guilt Jane into divorcing Michael <<< Michael saying “I just want you to be happy”
-Brandon/Callie on the fosters: when he angrily says “I don’t want you dating anyone” when she’s dating Wyatt
-Zoey/Max on Zoey’s extraordinary playlist: Max getting pissed that Zoey set him up with someone else even though she didn’t have feelings for him, and wanted to be with Simon
So overall, (best) friends to lovers are adorable, but for me to ship it, it has to be mutual or have one character accept rejection and still be a supportive friend, before it leads to anything romantic between them.
Also, I appreciate close friendships equally to romantic ships, so I will usually still want them to stay friends, whether I ship them or not. I loved Zig & Maya as friends/roommates, Jane & Raf as friends/co-parents, Brandon & Callie as siblings lol, even if I don’t ship them.
I’d love to hear if anyone has more examples of friends to lovers ships and if you ship them and why/why not. 😊
TLDR: I either love or hate “friends to lovers” ships, and it all depends on how the person with a crush reacts to rejection. If they’re pissed at their friend for dating someone else, it turns me off from shipping them forever, but if they are supportive then I will root for them.

for the fandom question thing!! you know i have to ask ab teen wolf :)
I do love me some lupine adolescents.
Ask me about a fandom I know and I'll answer these questions
1. The first character I first fell in love with
C'mon y'all, we know it's Stiles. That boy had my heart from the second he was hanging upside down outside of Scott's house.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
This is a toss-up between Allison and Derek. Neither of them started the show as much, but if Teen Wolf did anything well it was allowing characters to truly make mistakes and learn from them. There were points where I hated both of these characters and that was such a worthwhile viewing experience.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
Theo. I never liked Theo, I don't think he was ever redeemable, I think there were interesting ideas put forth in Theo's storyline but I would've been happy if he'd just died.
Honorable mention to Malia, who was really just "g-ddamnit we lost Erica and then we lost Cora and we refuse to think of a new girl personality at this point". I didn't dislike all of Malia, but between that and the whole born sexy yesterday thing, she doesn't make the list of my absolute loves.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I LIKE DEATON AND YOU CAN FIGHT ME ON IT, ALRIGHT?
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Lydia. I really loved Lydia's arc in the early seasons but she just became a walking encyclopedia that they were really into brutally torturing for some reason. I don't hate Lydia by any stretch of the imagination, just don't like the potential they squandered.
6. The character I would totally smooch
Most of the characters on this show are children, but a college aged Stiles or Isaac or Cora would be up there for me.
7. The character I’d want to be like
Allison. Although she really makes a mess of it, I admire that Allison felt powerless and then committed herself to fixing it. I also admire that she recognized when she was going too far and changed course. Allison was a really proactive character and a lot of her growth was about learning to balance wanting to be powerful and self-sufficient with acknowledging her own humanity and realizing she wasn't alone.
8. The character I’d slap
Theo.
9. A pairing that I love
I feel really lukewarm on most of the Teen Wolf ships, but I really did like Stalia. Not to say that Stiles and Lydia didn't make sense as an endgame, but Stiles and Malia deserved more time together and they really had this natural chemistry and vibe to them.
10. A pairing that I despise
Jackson and Lydia. I don't despise these characters at all and I think they had a really interesting dynamic, but Jackson was straight up abusive in a way the show didn't fully acknowledge, and he was holding her back. I don't know if the Lydia we know and love would've existed had Colton Haynes not left the show, so, as much as I mourn the potential Jackson had as a character Jackson was Peter's son I will die on this hill, I can't help feeling that it strengthened Lydia and the show as a whole for them to break up.

stalia broke up for the dumbest reasons but they were so good together. both of their characters regressed when they stopped dating each other. malia became this embarrassing aggressive trope and stiles went back to being an annoying manchild. poor lydia didn't have romantic chemistry with anyone and she could've been good with parrish because he was on her maturity level but the age limit is a hard line that shouldn't be crossed, it's still wrong because of the power imbalance.
Yes to all of this, I think Lydia and Parrish could be cute but the one thing stopping me from shipping them is the age limit. They talk about his age so much in season 4, and yeah Lydia might be 18 but it’s still super weird.
It’s like the writers didn’t know what to do with the characters anymore. Because seasons 3 and 4 were really good and that’s what I was expecting out of season 5, however the season isn’t that great like with every episode I watch I’m losing interest, this is what happened when I was first watching the show, I thought maybe I got tried or waiting for episodes but nope the show just doesn’t hold my interest anymore. Which sucks because the dread doctors are a cool villain, I don’t care for Theo tho. Kira was really cool and they weren’t taking advantage of her character or anything, hell her parents were cool as well and literally nothing.

1. Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 6?
Basically as soon as it happened in canon, I mean - I could tell straight away that was gonna be The Relationship, ‘cause OBX is kinda cliche (in a good way!!!! cliches are cliches for a reason, if done well, they’re very good) so I KNEW that was the ship the show was gonna sail, and I was very happy to be right :) It’s very wholesome.
2. Have you ever read a fanfic about 2?
Yes! Hell, I’m writing one, technically? There aren’t many for them, which is depressing.
3. Has a picture of 4 ever been your screen saver/profile picture/tumblr screen saver?
Nope. I don’t really tend to put ships as that sort of thing, which is what makes Stalia so clearly special to me.
4. If 7 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?
Well, they never dated, and my reaction would be different depending on the situation for them dating in that AU. Like, either ‘makes sense’ or ‘kinda sad but gets it’, yanno?
5. Why is 1 so important?
I’m not entirely sure? I just love them so much. Like, more than anything else I’ve ever shipped. They’re just, so good you guys.
6. Is 9 a funny ship or a serious ship?
In what way? Like, they’re serious for each other, but they’re very sweet and carefree when Kira’s fox isn’t out of whack. I ship it seriously, not as a joke, and idk? What you mean by that?
7. Out of all the ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, in order, 1, 3, 6, 2, 5, 9, 4, 10, 7. You may notice i didn’t list 8; percabeth is in it’s own category of ‘chemistry’, like, it’s more than that. You can’t rank them.
8. Out of all your ships listed, which ship has the strongest bond?
2, then 8, then 6. Maybe 8, then 6, then 2. Depends on what you mean by it.
9. How many times have you read/watched the 10’s fandom?
Like, too many times, man.
10. Which ship has lasted the longest?
10, if you mean ‘since i’ve shipped it’ - I watched Buffy long enough ago that my first fanfic at the ripe old age of six was a fan episode for Buffy, and it didn’t take me long to start shipping, and from there it didn’t take me long to start shipping these three in particular. If you mean ‘in canon’ how long has a ship lasted, it would be 8.
11. How many times, if ever, has 6 broken up?
None, actually.
12. If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8?
Either, actually, depends. Ron and Harry are a good team, and Percy and Annabeth are a good team. And they’re both two sets of fighters, though maybe Ron and Harry have the edge because they’re ranged? Idk, I’d have to think about it.
13. Did 7 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?
I mean, they would have, if it happened.
14. Is 4 still together?
I would hope so, if they’d became canon at any point. I mean, technically though they’re not together together (as far as we know) they’re stuck together where they are right now, with nobody else around, so,,,, technically???
15. Is 10 canon?
Nope. Spuffy was though. so, one out of three dynamics? Sad.
16. If all 10 ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?
Not an easy one to answer. They’re all very capable people, and if it was a forced fight to the death, I think most couples would end up protesting. Though, if they couldn’t do that, I think certain ones - steo - would end up being detrimental to each other before anyone else, and others - Ronarry - would refuse to kill, so... Claysmond might be the only one that would survive just by virtue of them being assassins? I’m not sure.
17. Has anybody ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship?

Scira, I guess? Scott and Lydia is a pretty good ship so there’s that, and Kira can be with Malia and then I can have Steo, Scydia, and Malira, which is a very good setup. Malira, by the way, would be number 11 on this list if 11 existed. I have a lot of OTPs, to list them all I’d need more than twenty slots.

Stydia, After Years
It’s like a title for a fanfiction but it’s not. I’m gonna write my thoughts for Stydia after years of shipping hard and I don’t even care if someone reads this. But you read, it’d be nice if you send your thoughts.
We saw Stiles’ one sided-love for Lydia. We saw they became friends. We saw every moment of Lydia falling for Stiles. We saw their kiss for two times, oh also one cheek kiss in 100 EPISODES. Then we saw they become couple (?). Stiles was gone due to O’brien’s movie. When he came back, they didn’t give us the kiss we deserved but we saw Jackson and Lydia’s hugging! (I mean it’s okay but if you give this moment, you should’ve give the kiss.)
It was fun and painful to watch. Stiles & Lydia had every reason to be together after season 3. If Malia didn’t take part in the show, probably they’d be couple in season 4. I don’t ship Stalia. I won’t say any bad things about them. But we clearly saw Stiles didn’t hesitate to show his love to Lydia when he was with Malia. Of course, as a friend he always wanted to support and save her but when Lydia was injured because of some creature in season 5A, Stiles’s looks were like he was gonna lose his mind. And Stiles and Malia’s breaking-up scene was awful. We really saw some poor writing. Stiles helped Malia a lot, they’ve got really beautiful scenes too. I think Malia doubted if they were break up after this scene, because I did.
And, there’s Stydia. End of season 5B, there was NO REASON to them getting together. Like, Stiles saved her life two times in this season. He tried to be with her all the things she suffered from. But thanks to writers, we only saw them looking and smiling eachother for 32432425 times or something like that. When I tried to remember their scenes, most of them are related to supernatural things. They kissed for the first time because Stiles’ father was kidnapped some evil. They kissed for the second time because Stiles’ was gone for too long and erased, then he came back. Stiles told Lydia that he loved her AFTER YEARS OF WAITING, because he thought he never saw her again. Stiles and Lydia went school prom because Jackson was too busy finding a way to become a werewolf. They hugged because someone Lydia cared died for some supernatural reason. I mean, yes, the show was about supernatural events but the writers always forgot that they were teenagers. They were graduated but we never saw their scenes. I mean, was it too hard to shoot this scenes? Season 3B was really good. It had really strong, powerful characters. But starting from season 4, supernatural events and antagonists were awful. You watch things for a reason, my reason was Stydia. Yeah, in those years i really enjoyed from their scenes but when i look back... I don’t even remember they have scenes with no supernatural reason. In the premiere of season 6A, when they were talking and walking, of course they talked about supernatural creatures! Like there’s nothing else to talk. Then Lydia tried to talk about something different but you know Stiles. Pardon me, you know the writers. In season 6A, we saw devastated Lydia. It was good to watch seeing their bond and Lydia’s confession but it was too late.
I can say all the thing I said for the other characters. Even Scott and Stiles stopped talking about different things. But you write a show for teenagers. Not for adults. Teenagers watch those shows for spending time. But the writers were like “We are writing most serious show in the world. There should be only scenes about supernatural things. Because you know, they are super important topics to write.” Oh, one of the wrong thing is we saw teenager scenes for Liam and the other Teen Wolf 2.0 and 3.0 characters. Literally, no one ever cared for them when there was Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Malia. The story archs were too simple and didn’t give any joy. And Scott turning his back on Stiles... It was too absurd. I’m not gonna write about it because everyone knows it was unnecessary.
And... This was a short summary of how I wasted my teenage years watching this show and shipping Stydia hard. Actually, I still love them and I didn’t regret watching this show. I had really good friends and moments because of this show. But if it started airing now, I’d wouldn’t even watch the trailer.

• when I started shipping it if I did: Probably in their dance scene.
• my thoughts: I think that if Malia and Kira became a couple instead of Scira and Stalia, the show would've been better. Like, Kira wouldn't go away and Stydia would happen sooner.
• what makes me happy about them: They bonding even though they are clearly opposites.
• what makes me sad about them: I wish they had more screen time.

One year ago today, I started the epic six season journey that would change everything. I developed an unhealthy obsession to @tylerhoechlin and @ianbohen during the first season and shared many laughs with Dylan O'Brien. During season two my crush on the most badass characters began and I also became obsessed with @hollandroden and @crystalmreed. In season 3 I laughed cried and fought my way through The Alpha Pack with @tylerposey58 ; @charliecarver and @maxcarver. Then during 3b had to cope with Void Stiles (our fluffy loveable little bean gone bad) and the death of a predominant female character @crystalmreed. In season 4 we were introduced to a beautiful Kitsune @arden_cho and we all fell in love. And I will never forget the first real Stalia moment with @shelleyhennig and Dylan O'Brien. Also in season 4, Mr Theo Raeken (@codychristian ) came onto set. Most of us thought he was mysterious and alluring but a select few (@phoenixw.xo ) found themselves thinking he was a cute little beanbag. Then came season 5, La Bête du Gévaudan and the return of @crystalmreed through flashbacks into the past. And if the blow of losing our favourite Argent again wasn't enough, we lost our baby Stiles to the Wild Hunt. We then had to deal with half of the last season being dedicated to @hollandroden realising her love for Stiles and trying to bring him back through the rift. We also see Malia (@shelleyhennig ) call Peter (@ianbohen ) Dad for the first time, which I'm sure made people squeal, fangirl or cry. (I did all three.) And then season 6b. With all the Hunters and the entire non-supernatural population of Beacon Hills out for the Packs, we see new friendships form and old ones grow. During this season my love for both Sterek (Stiles and Derek ( @tylerhoechlin ) ) and Thiam (Theo - @codychristian and Liam -@dylansprayberry ) grew enormously, which then made me read several fanfictions about both ships. The last episode of season 6 consisted of Jackson @coltonlhaynes and Ethan @charliecarver coming back into Beacon Hills and releasing the news to the pack that they are a gay couple. Theo: I really hate some of the things they do with Theo in s6. I like his story as a whole, but you gave us this obviously genius mastermind in s5 only to have him, what? Lose some braincells while in Hell? It’s like they dumbed him down and I kind of hate that. Especially with things with Mason in 6b. Honestly, I love the Theo and Mason team up, but I hated that they clearly dumbed Theo down to make Mason seem smarter. They can both be smart. Let them both be smart.
Teen Wolf: I hated the majority of the canon ships on Teen Wolf. They felt really inorganic and forced. I liked Stalia, I liked Scira. Scallison was... all right? On the fence about that one. But too many of the ships just didn’t work for me. Stydia was one, in specific, that I felt like could have worked, if they hadn’t waited so long to do it. By the time Stydia became canon, Stiles had chemistry with Malia and Lydia with Parrish (however people may feel about the age gap). It was like they missed their chance to make that one organic (AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ABOUT THAT PANIC ATTACK KISS. YOU DO NOT DO SOMETHING UNEXPECTED TO SOMEONE HAVING A PANIC ATTACK.) But, anyway, I didn’t like most of the ships.

day 12, time is flying by! i'm in work tomorrow for the first time in a while so that'll be fun! hope you've had a good week!
hopefully! i already have tickets for louis, yungblud and 5sos so i'm happy out, as long as covid behaves.
you should be so proud of yourself for getting the job then! especially since it was so far out of your comfort zone. that's good that school at least became more bearable, i think it is something we have to grin and bear unfortunately :((
math was horribly bad, i can't imagine not feeling comfortable enough to ask for help, if i wasn't asking the teacher i was making my friend go over the problem with me.
its so hard to keep friends as well as make them, i always find i'm the one holding on when they've clearly moved on... i'm trying to go day to day enjoying interactions instead of building a friendship which might be a bit sad but expectations are such a let down. you still made three friends through college even if you don't talk anymore, that's not easy to do! I'm 12 weeks in and only now making friends.
tomlinshaw is filled with angst so i love it but i never paid nick any attention in real life either. that fic sounds cool! i've never read one with alternative endings.
yeah the permanacy of tattoos is a bit frightening, i have a small one on my hip, which i do love but i wish the placemnet was slightly different so i can see how you could regret them.
