Everyone at work is either joking or confused about the situation with Iran, Isreal and Gaza and its like.... Are yall okay? You know that people are being killed explicitly and Iran is actually trying to show the world that this cannot continue and shouldn't be happening????
I genuinely dont understand how insane people are when it comes to people outside their own country.
Fuck

I really like how Thanks to Them makes Belos physically and literally represent his core character traits of manipulating people and discarding them the second they fulfill their purpose and are no longer useful to him by making his main powerset in the episode possessing things and then discarding them, usually completely stripped of life.

(ch 40 spoilers) au where qifrey erases olruggios memories one too many times and he forgets qifrey and ONLY qifrey
sometimes using forbidden magic that no one really knows how to wield anymore comes with unintended consequences!
eventually qifrey comes upon a solution, but it will return ALL his memories to him. will he risk it...?

"If I was so dead, where was my funeral?! Where’s my headstone?"
I'm haunted by both these quotes and the idea of what would have happened had Timothy Goose found Ylfa after she'd well ...
Quote is by Kristin Chang

in light of tedtrent becoming so real, im also jumping on the tedtrent epilogue 😊
there's just no way ted wouldn't keep in touch with the others (and have weekly zoom meetings just like in the christmas special) and I just love the thought of the whole team having reunions once in a while.
and going back to trent's arc in s3, the sunflowers conversation, "And your daughter?" "She's never been happier." I think it could go the same for ted.. we've never really properly saw how henry felt about his dad being in london, it's always other people that told ted his son misses him, who's to say henry would rather see his dad happy because that in turn would make him happy too? he was there to win the whole thing, right? I just know ted’s story isn’t done yet when he still hasn’t learned to let others take care of him in return and who else to pair him with than the man who blew up his career because a man was nice to him (and also because they were so. so cruel for the fakeout tedbecca scenes for that finale) 🥺
I'm no writer so just pretend these are snapshots of a slow burn fic where ted visits london for their team reunion and slowly realizes that trent has a crush on him and they kiss about it 💛

"[high pitched and tinny] Let’s dive in. Let’s dive in. It’s time to dive in. Get ready to [audio distorts and slows] dive. Diiive. Diiiiie…"
(The Road to PALISADE 20: City Planning Department)
so that's what i've been working on for the past 2 weeks!
i wanted to draw something for this intro ever since i first listened to it (as a companion piece to my other gur drawing, though it of course ended up being way bigger in scale), but it only really gripped me about halfway through PALISADE ep 18.
the next morning after that i listened to this narration on repeat for about 45 minutes and then made a big sketch on 4 sheets of paper at my desk at work.
anyways, i haven't listened to the new episode yet but i think i'm probably ready for whatever they're gonna throw at us with the next sortie. i'm gonna believe, against it all, in millennium break. for gur
(i recommend listening along while scrolling!
+ transcript btw. if anything is hard to read)

i've been trying to pinpoint what exactly is so different about limited life compared to past iterations of the life series and i guess you could blame it on the mechanic making death feel less meaningful but i think it's a case of everyone getting so comfortable around each other to the point where they know they can just fuck around with each other's lives as well as their own. like, in 3rd life death was heavy and every action had consequences—many of the players had barely interacted before and were hyperaware of the fact that they could end the series of someone they don't know very well. kills were out of necessity rather than indulgence. you planned and schemed and stuck by your allies because those were the only people you had.
in limited life that has completely been thrown out the window. it's something about etho going after joel immediately when he finds out he's green and laughing while he chases him down. and scar's reckless tnt triple kill that got his own teammate killed in the crossfire. and scott walking in on grian and etho setting a trap in his own base and laughing it off. and the group bullying session at the end of the episode where they were just stood in a circle making fun of each other.
it's something about death being a show of love. past alliances are nothing but a greenlight to antagonize each other because you know the other person well enough to know they can take it. when you're completely and irreversibly entangled in each other's lives (and lifetimes) why would you be conservative with it? why would you play nice? a timer doesn't mean a whole lot when you'll just see each other again next time, anyway.
